Great view of the Ocean.  At first when Y & I got dropped off by the taxi, we weren't quite sure where we were.  We went left then right, before we realized that the hotel entrance is hidden by the patio seating of its restaurant, Bellini (Great name, and the food looked good, but we never actually sat down to eat.)
The room was nice, we got a 1 bdrm suite with a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed in living room.  The decor is simple white and minimal.  Who needs decorations when you should be outside enjoying .  A nice little kitchenette and a full sized fridge!
Our room was hotel front so we had a great view..read below for the funny.
Pool area should be remodeled, we went up there for the pool party and it wasn't very happening. And the pool was on an upper level away from the music..I guess it's not a big deal since pool parties in Miami aren't POOL parties though since nobody goes in the water..
Con: Elevators are funny.  The elevator from the ground only goes up to the second floor where the concierge is, and from there you have to go around the corner to another elevator.  That second elevator does go to the ground floor, but then you are in the back of the restaurant..kinda awkward.

-I very thoroughly enjoyed how only 1 set of windows fully opened and was then idiot-proofed.  There was a ledge about 1.5 ft out so that if you were an idiot who fell out the window you had that to break your fall, if you somehow manage to then roll off of that, well..you're a moron.
-Services: apart from the standard room service, spa, pool, fitness center..they also offer professional babysitting service and religious services.

Wow!  Our room was so nice and spacious.  Our balcony was huge.  Nice view and better than what we all expected.  We got a suite with 2 bedrooms and one queen pull out in the living room.  There was a full kitchen and utensils and plates were included.

Stayed here recently and liked it.  For the price it was perfect - not right on top of the nightlife but close enough where you could walk to where the action was.  The pool and jacuzzi does need an update and room service would be a great option but in terms of value, cleanliness, politeness and overall satisfaction I was very happy with my stay!

This is one of the best hotels in south beach. I love that it is located at south beach but not in the busy and touristy part of Ocean Drive which is always packed and full of traffic. The hotel is very luxurious. The rooms are great and the service is impeccable. When I stayed at this hotel I had a great experience and I would love to return soon. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who would like to stay in South Beach but doesn't want to deal with the nightly touristy crowd.

Freaking amazing hotel.  I forgot how we managed to stay at this hotel since my husband and I would never pay that much, but we somehow got our room at a reduced price.

The room was spacious. The bathroom was awesomely clean.  And the best part was the soap!  I took an extra one to use for later on, but damn that soap smelled good and had some sort of micro-scrubs embedded within it.

Other great aspects were proximity to the beach, private beach lounging area, and the pool on the rooftop.  Going to the pool was a memory of its own.  I've never seen topless sunbathing that up close and personal before.   I was so intrigued.

Great location, great rooftop pool and very friendly staff. I would definately go back to SoBe and stay in the Bentley again!

Some rooms in the hotel are owned by individuals, ours being one of them. We booked through a website and got a MUCH better value than booking directly through the hotel. On top of that the owner was very flexible about checking in and out. I highly recommend him. Our room was very nice. It had a decent kitchen, nice sized bath room, very comfortable bed and a nice 42" HD tv! Also the room had an iMac computer in it which made it very easy to look up things in the area as well as directions. Also the room came with a parking space, though we did not rent a car.

Ate at the restaurant downstairs, Bellini - not impressed. Her heart of palms salad was very good, my chicken panini not so much.

We originally booked the Mondrian for our trip, but then Cathy found a better deal at the Bentley, when you reserve it directly with the owner. We ended up getting our studio with kitchen and free wifi for $79/night, right on Ocean/Collins.

The location is great. Right across the park from the beach. You're walking distance from all kinds of food, shops, clubs.

The pool and sundeck are a bit outdated, and it sucks that there is nowhere to sit by the pool. The sundeck is on a different floor/level than the pool. The pool is just a pool, with nowhere to sunbathe or sit around.

For the price, I would stay here again. You get a great deal if you reserve directly from the owners, but you also lose your privileges to use the Hilton Bentley, as well as room service, maid service, etc. We were not able to ask the front desk for anything, we had to call the owners directly. Like when our remote control batteries ran out, we weren't able to get more...we had to go buy some ourselves. :(

What a weird experience... We (2 adults and 2 kids) arrived to a great suite (the kids didn't mind the bad sleeper sofa) we unpacked, and enjoyed a few hours at the great rooftop pool. The location is great not too loud and convenient to many great South Beach locations. The beach club was a haul for two youngsters ( 3 & 6 ), but was very nice once we got there.

Our plan was to hit the beach until lunch or so and then enjoy the pool each afternoon. This was not to be... The pool was closed the rest of our visit (3 of the 4 afternoons of our visit). They told us we could use the pool next door but it was also closed for service until after dinner on our final night. I understand the need for service but we weren't informed of any of this by the front desk. We would pick up towels and head to the pool only to be met by caution tape and an empty pool. We would then head to the neighboring pool and be informed that the pool was also closed. My wife and I could handle this, but try telling that to two children who wanted some play time. They said the sundeck was open, perfect for roasting your kids without a pool.

The continental breakfast was lacking. No Fruit in Florida??? two choices of cereal, no toast or butter and bad coffee.. I walked (1 mile total) to the Publix and bought strawberries and bread for our breakfasts

All of this made for a stressful, unpleasant experience. Lucky for us the kids loved the beach and were outwardly oblivious to our anger at the management.

Upfront Information and some reasonable planning is inexpensive, but the management chose to not use either.

    Not relaxing for us....

The room is very nice, and you can enjoy its private beach, which is literally across the street. Or you can swim on the roof swimming pool. Also, there is a computer at the front desk on the second floor, which opens the Internet, awesome.

We just returned from a stay at this property. It was an excellent choice for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and attractive, offering a fridge, microwave etc. The roof top pool area was good and the arrangement to use the beach club, a short walk away, was great. The hotel is in a wonderful location for walking. The balcony off the lobby provides a good view of the street while eating the continental breakfast offered as part of your stay. In addition the attached Bellini restaurant has very good food and offers some nice deals as well.

My review will be broken down into give parts: location, outdoor scenery, staff, room, misc.

Location:  4 stars. The hotel is located conveniently near shopping centers, a variety of restaurants, beach is 4 mins or less walk, near by south beach clubs, near excellent bus stations, parking street or inside 2-7 min walk.

Outdoor scenery: 3 star. Nothing special for the outside looks. Very plain. The hotel is situated on 2nd  floor of the building. As you walk into the building, you must pass a restaurant right by the door. The hostess will pester you about stopping in every time you walk in and out. OK for first few times, annoying as hell for the rest of the time. We felt safe near outside the hotel in the evenings.

Staff: They are okay. If you get a lady at the front desk, expect a neutral welcoming and nothing exciting. Maybe even some crabbyness. Probably depends on the day of the month. Anyhow, if it's a guy expect a more warm welcoming, but no promises. The staff does seem attentive and helpful within their reasonable grasp. You want to talk to the valet parking guy; I think it was Louis. He will give you all the inns and outs about what to do in Miami/ South Florida area. The cleaning crew is neat. If you need extra something, best is to hint them down and ask in the hallway, otherwise try the front desk.

Room:  After thorough inspection at our arrival, I world say our room was clean and ready for us up to my hotel expectations. The room was cleaned and tidied daily (towards the afternoon, bit it depends where your room was in the building) towards our expectations.  The decor was good. Opening the windows was a little strange; be careful as the whole window almost comes out as you try to open. Our ruin had a oven toaster and a plugin skillet. Oven toaster great, but skillet not. Because there were no cookware for it. Don't get your guests excited about something they can't use.....   We also had a small kitchenette. One super annoying thing, the kitchen counter and full size fridge were filled with snacks, drinks, toiletry things like toothbrush and toothpaste, beer, rum.... etc.... but if you open and use anything, you will be charged.  You well even be charged for using the bathrobe (vary cheap material) and the umbrella in the closet. Don't even think the water next to your bed is complementary. Don't get tricked by this. Be careful. The beds are really soft. You sink a little in them. We prefer harder beds, better for the back. So we didn't enjoy our sleeping experience.

Misc: Price- 3 star. For the price we booked here, I didn't get as much for the money as I hoped-personal opinion and experience.

Unknown- We weren't made aware that there would be construction upon booking. This kind of sucked. The constriction made it not possible to use the upstairs pool (epic fail) and the court yard. They don't know how long the construction will still last upon me writing this review. Call them and check. Most importantly, call ahead of time to request a room as far away from the construction. You will be very happy you called.

Random cost- you will also be charged $25 additionally a night once you get there for the breakfast, pool use (they have an agreement with the next door hotel for pool use until the construction is over), towels for the beach, beach chair which is a 10 min walk (not cool, and inconvenient). We refused to pay and the manager agreed to let us. Ask at your own risk.

Valet parking- $30 a day. You can take your car in and out as many times as you need for the day.

Suggestions:  City parking is $1/hr for first 15 hours, then it's $20 total for 24 hours. Very good rate. The weekend rate changes a bit, but it's still $20 for a day. The city parking garages are best prices compared to private parking garages. There are a few near by the hotel. Look on Google. Parking meters are $1.75 and active hours very. Look around.

Must visit restaurants near by:  LA Parrilla Liberty; Cafe Charlotte.

Check groupon.com for affordable actives to do near by. But always always call the location from which you want to buy the groupon from before buying! I can't stress this enough. Ask if reservations are necessary, any extra charges, etc.

The Bentley Hotel is in a great location, however, that is where the positive comments stop. My husband and I stayed at the hotel Feb. 9th and Feb. 10th and I will never return again. We tried this hotel for the Tides was booked solid that weekend. Never again...the beds feel like you are sleeping on a box, dirty carpet, part-time valet service, construction on the rough top meant no real access to the pool, requested a ocean view room with a patio (no go), Wi-fi did not work, no foyer - extremely awkward when you arrive, second floor check-in takes an extreme amount of time, called for our car the morning of our flight and we were told it would be 30 minutes...WOW? If you are accustomed to well ran superior boutique hotel in MIAMI such as THE TIDES...this hotel will not be for you. Never Again...

Very nice hotel with a rooftop pool and Jacuzzi. The rooms are pretty great, have huge flat screen tvs with cable and you get a big, comfy robe, too. And the beds are just amazing. When I stayed here with my friend we shared a king size bed and it was the most comfortable thing I have ever slept in, it is so roomy, more than enough space for two people, falling asleep wasn't hard at all.

The rooftop pool and tanning area was not busy when we went, maybe we just got lucky. We also went up there at night, no one was there, we took a bottle of Vodka with us and got drunk.

The only reason I won't give it a full 5 stars is because the 2 card keys we had kept getting deactivated. Also, one day something was wrong with the card reader itself that is on the hotel room door and we had to wait in the hallway for 20 minutes  for the guy to come and fix it and the heat was unbearable because they do not have AC in the hallways.

Also, it's a bit annoying going from floor to floor because the elevator from the lobby only goes up to the second floor and to go to a higher floor you have to get off at the second floor, walk around the corner and switch to a different elevator.

One more thing: one day my friend and I came back from the beach and were laying down, watching tv in our underwear when we heard a knock at the door. Before I even had a chance to walk up and answer the door, some man unlocked our door himself, walked in and asked me if my room needed a drawer...it was kinda awks.

Oh yeah, and they named one price for the maid service when we made the reservations, but billed us with a different, higher price at the end of our stay. NOT CUTE.

If you have a car, it will cost you $30.00 a day for parking.

tried multiple times to book a massage for visiting friends.  horrible service and i'm not exaggerating about this but i was hung up on SIX TIMES.  I'd call and they'd pick up and hang up SIX TIMES.  Then one guy said hello (at least it sounded like hello) and as I started saying, "Can I be transferred to the spa..." click he hangs up again.  Awesome.  I guess I'll have to find another hotel in sobe looking to take my $200.  should be tough.  DON'T GO HERE.

Most important thing to know is that the photos on the website are very deceiving - the hotel is clean and livable but a little rundown and in need of repairs/upgrades. I expected more from the "best boutique hotel" in MIA, but probably among the best you'll get for the price range. You have to take one elevator to get to the lobby, then another one to get to your room, and the hotel's umbrellas/beach chairs are a 10 min trek South on the beach. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, but don't expect an upscale stay.

We chose the Bentley after an exhaustive search on various hotel booking sites, review sites, and running our search through our various discounts.  We ended up with the Bentley based partially on Yelp reviews, Oyster.com photos, overall value (we didn't want to stay in a roach motel in Miami Beach, and wanted something decent) and proximity to the beach.  I discovered Oyster.com in this search, and their exhaustive photos really helped clinch the deal.  We weren't looking for a 24 hour party hotel and we got a great little spot to base our adventures from.  Our own little spot on the beach was a nice perk, as was the rooftop pool and jacuzzi, although the jacuzzi was full when we arrived with a pretty loud group so there was no point in squeezing in to the stew.  Got out best price with a AAA discount, surprisingly, so don't overlook that!

Cute, cozy room, very clean, nice kitchenette - pots, pans, a hot plate, a microwave.  Your home away from home for reheating that delicious dinner or dessert from last night before you head out on the town again.  Nothing wrong with the room at all - it is very much like the one pictured here.  New flat screen TV, though, not the old one pictured here.   oyster.com/miami/hotels/…

Weird layout where you have to take two elevators to get to the 3rd floor, but it's a minor annoyance given the overall quality and value here.  Sure, resort fees and parking increase the price of a daily stay if you need a car here, but that's Miami Beach for ya.  Par for the course.

We would absolutely stay here again, and it's hard to find a Miami Beach Hotel on Yelp with 4 stars or more.  There's a reason the Bentley is able to keep that rating.  Would recommend this to anyone, especially with the AAA discount we got!  (and thanks Oyster.com for the obsessively detailed photos.  Indispensable site, and I'm glad I discovered it in our search!)

Great price for the location. Kinda hidden n hard to find if you're not familiar with south beach. Unfortunately the pool was closed for renovations. Booked this hotel alone for the pool. They did offer to have us go to a neighboring pool but I didn't feel like it by that point. The Bellini restaurant is great. This hotel could be 4 stars if they fixed a few things. Call ahead for valet. Like 30 mins ahead. My biggest problem was this. Nothing like having a spa appt n call the valet 20 mins early. Then wait another 20, only to have to take a cab because my car was nowhere in sight. The Bentley is a gem on south beach but does need a few adjustments to perfect it.

Rudest personnel i ever met. If you love standing in line all day to talk to someone, getting treated like nobody cares, waiting 45 minutes every time you need a valet parking (no self-parking, mind you) and basically spending your stay dealing with hotel issues, this is for you.

Plus overpriced, not worth the money even if it was decent. This hotel is a disaster. Avoid.

I booked the hotel as part of an anniversary trip. Able to find parking right on Ocean Dr.
We were greeted by Mattew at the check in who was extremely accomodating with answers to questions and our needs. The room he put us in was amazing with a full kitchen, living room area complete with comfy sofa and chairs. The bedroom was cozy and bathroom complemented the suite.Everything was spotless.

The view was amazing as we could see South beach sunrises. its at the beginning of ocean drive which meant less noise compared to being in the middle which I was more than ok with.

on the rooftop, you have a sun area which allows you to take in the view and a pool and hot tub which we used for a late night dip.

Enjoyed their restaurant downstairs as well. only problem was i was wish we stayed one more night! Hope to make this the hotel for next year's visit to Miami

Stayed here last month with my girlfriend. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in! I paid $30 for "valet" yet had to call 45 min in advance to get my car and when I left, they walked us blocks in every direction with zero clue where our car was. Then we finally got the car 15 minutes later and the guy rudely threw our luggage in the back huffing and puffing because he was mad that his fellow staff members were incompetent and couldn't locate my car. THIS is what I was paying valet for. I asked them to refund it and they said they would "try". Never happened. First and only time staying here!

PLEASE be forewarned and NEVER book here or recommend it to anyone! It is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to!

My Husband and I did a lot of research of all the hotel options in Miami Beach and settled on The Bentley. Their website makes it look like a nice, clean, quaint boutique hotel. We couldn't have been MORE WRONG.
Before I get into it, let me just say that my husband and I usually have a higher standard when it comes to hotels but even if we are not impressed we wouldn't go out of our way to leave a comment, BUT I made a point to sit down and write a review about this place because it was a total nightmare even though we were only there for 2 hours!

When we arrived it took us two times around the block to find the hotel because there is NO sign outside to announce the hotel! Not even a name on the Valet Cart to let you know your at the right one. NOTHING! After process of elimination, we pull up to the valet and wait 20 minutes for someone to ask if we're in the right place, alongside other people also in the same situation. I call the hotel and ask if there is someone for the Valet and they reply rudely, "Yeah one sec." and hang up on me. 10 minutes later someone comes out. I will say the Valet was very nice and helpful. To enter the hotel you have to walk through the middle of a restaurant outside patio where people are dining, and there isn't much space between tables to squeeze by.
Upon check in, the front desk tells us that he is upgrading us to a view. We ask if it's still the same floorplan that we booked online, the one bedroom suite. He says yes, and checks us in. After 2 elevators and 4 long hallways we get to our room. We were downgraded to a studio (with a view ) but NOT the room we booked and paid for, which was a step up from what we were given. On top of that, the room was filthy! The white couches depicted in the photos on their website are actually turning gray from being dirty and worn. Lamps covered in dust, bent and tweaked sideways. Also, stains and more stains all over the carpeting. It looked like the carpet from a steam cleaning commercial before the company works their magic. Disgusting! So, my husband pulls up pictures from their website of the room we booked and takes it down to the front desk to show them what we booked and ask to put us in that room. When my husband gets there he has to wait for the couple in front of him to finish complaining about how they weren't happy. When he explains the situation the front desk was so extremely rude! The guy acted like he was doing us a favor by switching us to the room we originally booked! He tells my husband he will switch us but he's busy so we can go to the new room get the key cards from him on the way there.
So as we lug ALL our bags ourselves to the new room, which is the opposite side of the hotel, (4 elevator rides, and 8 hallways) we get the keys and they don't work. By this time were pretty irritated, not only because were tired from traveling and it took us forever to even get our room situated but the customer service at this hotel was awful! The front desk didn't give a crap!
As my husband is waiting for the new room cards to be done he asked the front desk why the rooms look nothing like the site. Not to mention the whole hotel looks worn! The walls have gashes and chunks missing, paint is peeling and worn, the entire hotel looks completely deteriorated. Come to find out, the front desk tells us that the hotel is actually similar to a time share, all the rooms are privately owned and managed. The company itself just does reservations and deals with customers. When you book here, you never know what your going to get because the decency of the room varies just like whoever owns it. There's no over all quality, care or customer service!
After getting into our room, we booked the first nice hotel that we could find! Didn't even care if it was in Miami beach or downtown Miami. We were so thankful to book a room at the Four Seasons. Unfortunately, our drama doesn't end here!            We get to our new hotel and when my husband goes to check in, he realizes the guy at the front desk kept his driver's license! Not only that but he wouldn't drop it off to us! The Four Season's staff was amazing and sent security over to The Bentley to retrieve it!

Strange broken, rusted, leaking items in the room. Pool was closed due to remodel... One employee stated it had been closed since The beginning of November, way too long for a project of that caliber. Front desk attendants were  absent minded and the room was not ready for check in until 5 pm although I paid to check in at 3. The restaurant out front has their 'back door' located in the down stairs of the hotel and unfortunately for us our room faced that direction so we got to hear all of the staff yelling at each other and banging things around bright and early. The construction started at 7 am. This hotel is not hip as stated on the site I purchased the room from and the restaurant downstairs is a ripoff for poor quality and service. For the price the hotel was absolutely not worth it and I would not recommend this hotel for your stay in Miami.

First time here and, though its an older hotel, it so far appears well maintained. My room has a comfy nice bed and is very clean and modern. But the best part, the customer service--top notch!! Lorenz greeted us upon check in and was super helpful, cheery and friendly. Juan and Lee were helpful as well. They text the guests to remind them to take advantage of the free breakfast, beach club, etc. Love that!!! You have a question you can text them back and they send a reply immediately. I travel frequently for work and have never had that kind of service. Thank you!!!

I have been to Miami several times and stayed at various locations, however, this hotel has to be the best one yet. The location is perfect (near restaurants, shopping, beach, clubs, etc.) and the staff were all extra friendly and helpful. During our stay we were most helped by Maria and Luis. They made sure we always had what we needed as efficiently and quickly as possible. Check-in was smooth, their recommendations were on-point and checkout was even easier, thanks to Ignacio.

This hotel is clean, safe and quiet (hard to find in Miami!!) They offer breakfast to their guests, beach towels and more...I will definitely return to this hotel again!

Booked a trip to The Bentley hotel on Priceline with the assumption that it had a rooftop pool and friendly staff.  We got to Miami at 6:00 am from a red eye flight.  They promised to call us when a room came available so we can get an early check in.  After several calls throughout the day and several times no one answered we eventually never got a room for an early check in so we checked in at the standard time of 4:00 pm.  Very late check in time!

We then were told that the rooftop pool is under construction and not available for use. We were shown to our room to find out its not ready at 4:00 pm.  After 20 minutes to figure that out the room is just below the construction site with constant banging and construction noise.  So beware, they still advertise 4 star services online but have no pool to use.  In addition they charge you a 25 dollar facilities/resort fee for a pool you can't use.

Not a very good experience and will not go back.

I came down to Miami for a friends wedding, and I picked this hotel last minute and didn't really get to do a lot of research. I was way better than I pictured or expected. The rooms are really clean, and bright! I had a pretty good view and the sun just lit up my room.

On top o a great, clean, pretty big room, the staff was great and very friendly. I very very short walk to the beach and tons of entertainment nearby. Extra points on the beautiful lobby!  I can't wait to go back!

This has been the greatest family vacation in MIAMI Beach.  Manager Lee and the staff has made my family vacation the greatest ever. I thought that it would have been difficult to find a family friendly hotel in South Beach but I was wrong.  Each time I had to speak to someone about everything from directions to a great place to enjoy lunch;  the staff was more than eager to talk with me. They would pause everything they were doing to help. I drove over  a thousand miles to get there and the staff made me feel like I was welcomed. I will never stay any where else;  this is officially my South Beach hotel.  Btw. . I posted this hotel on my Facebook page for my family and friends. . Thank you Bentley. .

I booked a room at Bentley this past friday for the night. Paid everything on Hotels.com then headed to the hotel to check in. I was greeted by Juan at the front desk. He then told me that apparently the hotel was fully booked for that night and that someone forgot to update it in the system so that websites wouldn't try to sell rooms anymore.
I thought we were gonna be screwed and just have to get a refund from hotels.com and try to find another hotel. Juan went out of his way to call around to their other properties and find us a room. He found us a room at The Sanctuary a few blocks down.
I'm giving the property 2 stars because of that big inconvenience. But if I could, I'd give Juan 5 stars just for being so helpful and making sure we had a nice room.
Maybe the next time I'm in Miami, I'll have a chance to actually stay at this hotel.

I stayed in August of 2014 for my birthday. I had no problem finding the hotel.  The staff treated me very well and I enjoyed the convenience of being literally across the street from the beach.  The pool on the roof was extremely nice, especially when you don't want to go down to the beach say at sunset or sunrise.  You can sunbathe on the roof.  I could not have been more pleased with the hotel.  I enjoyed the continental breakfast on days I had stayed out to late and did not feel like going out for breakfast.  It saved money on eating out for breakfast every day.  I saved my money for lunch and dinner.  I was so happy with the location and the pool that I am going back again this August 2015. For me it was better to find a room on homeaway, vrbo or airbnb they are cheaper.  I did not mind not having room service coming into my room every day. I definitely recommend this hotel.

This is our second time staying at the Bentley hotel. The first time was January 2014 when they were going through renovations. They upgraded us to a beautiful newly renovated 1 bedroom suite. Our stay was so enjoyable even during renovations that we decided to return in 2015. While our room was smaller than what we had last year, the luxury studio was still larger than what you would typically get on south beach or NYC where we're from. The rooms are very clean and the staff are so friendly. The rooftop deck is probably the best on the strip. You can see the beach and the ocean from the rooftop and it was never crowded each time we went up there. They also provide a free electric car service that will take you anywhere in Miami beach at no charge. Jason, at the front desk, gave great recommendations on where to eat and sightsee. The combination of the friendliness of the staff, their knowledge of the city, the rooftop deck, and the comfort/cleanliness of the rooms, made for an awesome second stay on Miami beach.

Sooo let me start by saying this review has nothing to do with the staff. The staff at the Bentley were very nice, and very helpful especially Seven! He was amazing. This review is mainly about the hotel conditions. The saying pictures are deceiving is so true for this hotel. During our stay the place was going through renovations, so I do take that into consideration with that being said here I go.

    Stay duration: 09/25/14- 9/29/14

    1. Requested a double bed room, and paid additional $$ for it. Never received it. We were told this hotel only have 1 bed suites or penthouse suites, but later found out that was a lie!!

    2. Housekeeping did an amazing job cleaning the sand and craziness out of our room, but just because you knock does not give you the right to come on in. At least give wait a minute before barging in and seeing me in my birthday suite. Also the" do not disturb" sign was on the door.

    Best for last...

    3. Bites.. lots of bites all over my friend and I. I do not want to say the bed bugs, but I can't think of anything else. Another customer who was checking out confirmed he saw little black bugs?? Also we have a creepy crawler (maybe a roach) killed for us ( thanks security dude) on one of the nights.

Other than that this hotel has potential for greatness especially since the staff is amazing and Lee the manager was also very nice and professional

This place is AMAZING! This little boutique hotel has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. When I checked in I found out that the hotel was overbooked (no fault of theirs, I extended my stay & booked thru a 3rd party) They put me up at their sister hotel & gave the option of returning if I chose to. Since this location is closer to the beach so I requested to return the next day.
The manager called me to check on me & offered me an upgrade & it was the ultimate upgrade to a Penthouse suite. The room was fabulous, full patio 2 bedrooms, full kitchen & living room. Everyone was so caring & took the initiative to make sure We weren't inconvenienced. My quick getaway to Miami for a few days turned out to be a trip full of luxury thanx to Jason, Simone & Arielle

We were here for only one night, so everything literally was A-OK, but not thrilling. First of all, it's incredibly difficult to find the place and even harder when no one seems interesting in doing anything but getting business from people walking along the street.

Once we got in the hotel, we had to use two different elevators, one to the lobby, then another to our room. That was weird, but they're also remodeling, so I cut them some slack. The person working the front desk the night we got in was wonderful. Friendly, nice, ready to answer any questions. The room itself was nicer than everything else would have led me to believe. The mirrors all over the bathroom are kind of weird, but other than that, everything seemed OK. But just OK.

We left our suitcases the next day for an extra couple of hours after checkout before heading to our cruise. The front desk staff didn't seem on top of things and I was really concerned with what would happen to all of our things after we left. When we returned it took at least 10 minutes for them to retrieve our luggage, which came out one at a time. I would think they would be together since we gave them to each other together...but the guy walked away to get my bag and was gone for a concerning amount of time. I could hear joking around and laughing coming from the back room, so I'm thinking maybe my bag wasn't missing, but instead the staff was just being lazy. The whole situation was pretty discomforting.

My wife and I come to Miami every year and stay normally at Eden Roc or Fontainebleau.  However, this year we decided to stay at The Bentley Hotel.  We booked a two-bedroom Penthouse suite because the suite looked great along with the views.

The day of arrival we pulled into Valet and had to signal the attendant to come over.  Attendant comes over and asks, "What do you need"?    I told him we are staying at the hotel and he asks for my name then walks away to check the guest list.  As I am unloading the vehicle he come over to grab the last bag and says welcome.  I asked if he could get a Bellman's cart so we could move all the bags easier.  The attendant goes inside and comes back in about 5 minutes with the cart.

We head to the front desk to officially check-in to the hotel.  The gentleman behind the counter was very pleasant and nice (Marco).  The attendant helped us with the bags to our room and we tipped him for his assistance.  The room was great looking and clean.  The hotel needs a lot of updates to the exterior and courtyard area.

The vacation was great until the checkout. We had to keep calling the front desk, 6 times over 45 minutes, because no one would answer.  When finally someone answered the bellman came promptly and took us down to the front desk to checkout.  After checking out we head to valet and give him our ticket and he said he would be right back.  The valet attendant leaves to grab the car.  My wife, 6-month-old daughter, nanny and I wait for 20 minutes and no truck.  I go inside and tell the front desk that the valet attendant has been gone for 20 minutes and we still didn't have our truck. The front desk clerk radio's them and minutes later responds the truck is on its way.  I go back down and wait another 10 minutes.  Still no truck!  I go upstairs and ask why does it take over 30 minutes to bring our truck.  She then states I think is due to traffic.  Traffic?  Where the hell did you park my truck at the airport?  I then ask them to refund me the valet charger for the huge inconvenience $64.10.  She states that they don't own the valet it is a separate company. You will have to speak with the manager of that company. Wait!  Didn't you bill me for the parking on my hotel bill? Yes.  So, 45 minutes later our truck comes and the valet guy tells me he came as fast as he could.  There was a lot of traffic.  I ask to speak to his manager and was informed that I would have to wait another 45 minutes or longer.  I told him take my number and have the manager call me because I couldn't wait around any longer.  Still have yet to receive a call to this day or refund.

So would I recommend this place to anyone...Hell NO!  If you cannot follow-up or don't won't to step up to resolve an issue then you don't need my business.  I will take my $2,000 dollars to another hotel where I won't have to deal with this type of stuff.

*sigh* where do I begin??? Ok, so the hotel is a pretty good location 5th and Ocean and you have access to the Hilton Bentley beach club down on 101 Ocean and the views were actually beautiful...

The front desk staff was pretty great in general, but I wasn't personally impressed with the hotel :-| it is very outdated and the bedding is downright awful. We had a pull out couch that was firstly extremely dirty as it was a white couch, but was broken and quite possibly the 1st ever pull it made. Seriously this thing was a relic...busted springs and THE thinnest mattress they could put on there...we had to request extra bedding just to cushion it. The bathroom has a bidet. Seriously I have never seen one in real life until this weekend lol...I don't think many people use these anymore and it was honestly just there. It was a waste of potentially useable space. The bathroom was an ok size...shower leaked because it's sliding doors and they don't seem to fit well in there, but a towel was used for this no biggie.

Housekeeping has to be the worst team of housekeeping I have ever experienced. Seriously, dense and lacking common sense:-/ 4 people in our room and you leave us 1 washcloth and 2 towels?! WTH are we to do with that?! They never actually cleaned the room like I'm used to...trash was emptied, but if there was any stray trash in the room it was left there?? I mean it wasn't like we left it a pigsty, but a plastic cup or two and some bag of chips kinda stayed there unless moved into an actual trash can, smh. I mentioned this to the front desk hopefully they can reevaluate and readjust this because that's just unheard of.

They do offer a nice continental breakfast daily which was cool and saved me some money. Consisted of hot fresh waffles, cereal, PB&J sammiches, breakfast bars, OJ and grapefruit juice. I think they also had yogurt and fruit cups...

All in all I had an alright experience at the hotel, but I don't know if I I would want to stay here...maybe if they do some updates to the hotel and get their housekeeping staff together is certainly do so.

We went down to Miami for a girls weekend, and found a private residence (one bedroom condo) through VRBO at The Bentley Hotel.

Overall, the hotel was great. The location is fantastic, the pool deck is wonderful and everything was modern and clean. It's conveniently located near tons of stuff, with a Walgreens and CVS right around the corner. Guests can also take advantage of a discounted rate at The Bentley Beach Club, which is a few blocks down from the hotel. For $10 a day, we were able to rent a chair, towel and umbrella right on the beach. It was great.

I docked two stars not for anything related to the actual hotel, but for the "customer service" we experienced. When we first arrived, we were too early to check-in, so we stored our bags with the front desk. The man working the front desk at the time (around noon on Thursday) was incredibly nice and accommodating. However, the other front desks clerk we dealt with was not nice at all, who was a lady we believe works the late afternoon/evening shift.

When we finally did check in, my friend (whose name the reservation was in) had to repeat three times that we declined the daily cleaning/housekeeping service, which costs extra. We're all pretty clean girls, and we scheduled for the condo to be cleaned after we left on Sunday. Right after we checked in, we were heading to the elevator, the front desk lady called my friend back to sign a waiver saying she declined the service. So that makes it four times.

Fast forward to Friday, and the housekeeper knocks on the door saying our room was scheduled to be cleaned that day. Ummm no. We explained to her that we declined it, and had talked to the condo owner to confirm.

On Saturday, the same thing happened AGAIN. We had to explain once more that we declined the service. If my friend signed something, shouldn't the cleaning staff be notified to not stop by our unit?

On Sunday, check out was horrible. They tried to charge my friend's credit card $300 for a cot they said we had in our room (apparently the housekeeper reported it). We never ordered any cot - the condo had a pull out couch. Don't you think the hotel would have some kind of record that we asked for/ordered a cot? The front desk lady (the same one from a few days before) basically accused my friend of lying. My friend told her to go up to the room to see that there was no cot up there. The charge was finally removed after further arguing.

The condo owner and hotel itself were great. Customer service was almost non-existent thanks to the one front desk clerk (the others were very nice).

When we first arrived we walked right past it.  The hotel is located right on top of Bellini Italian Bistro which is right next to TGI Fridays.  We were here for five nights and everything was fine.  We didn't deal with the front desk much which is I guess is a good thing.  Their rooftop pool was closed but we had access to pool next door.  They charge a resort fee which includes continental breakfast (special K bars, mini bagels, waffles, muffins, and cereals) and their beach club (towel, bottled water, champagne, and a lounge chair).

They were doing construction right outside of our room but it was usually after we woke up so it wasn't a big deal.  The door to our room was kind of finicky so when we were on our way in or out we had to jam it to make sure it closed.  Other than that, the rooms were really nice. The AC worked, there were no bed bugs, and the water got hot really fast. I also liked the microwave, fridge, and utensils in the room even though we didn't use them that much.

The location is great because there's a Walgreens (to pick up whatever you forgot to pack) really close by.  It's right across from the beach and at the end of the strip so it's not crazy loud.  The staff here were great.  They had lemonade for people in the lobby and also texted us when they were giving out free champagne.  They also let us check-in a little earlier which is always awesome.
