Currently staying here...the service is excellent...the rooms are clean and well done. Only problem is we didn't get a beach view but not a huge deal. It's away from the 'south beach attractions' but a simple bus or cab ride away. Would definitely stay here again!

My fiance and I went to stay here for one day and since it was our first time in Miami, we really wanted to be on south beach and by the reviews we thought it was, although not far from the south beach busy area, its about 10minutes drive. There was some construction going on behind the hotel which made our stay not so peaceful and the pool area was small and the feel of the hotel was much like to be in a corporate hotel rather than a vacation place. Breakfast buffet was OK and for the price of the hotel and a $40 PARKING FEE, it was over-priced! You could get a much better resort for that price.

The old Cadillac Hotel sign sets up the atmosphere for this really
good Marriott-first, I should confess I took the bus here from
the Airport Marriott Courtyard and thought the bus drivers were
really helpful and arrived without a problem-it's too bad I did not
figure out that SouthBeach is more than a good walk away-but
no matter, this hotel is clean, pleasant, right on the beach, has
a great pool (for 'exercise')and fine cookie and fruit for snacks
every afternoon!  I found the staff to be EXCEPTIONALLY
friendly, especially some youthful male named Carl at the
front desk and Tony, who serves you towels on the beach
(and is employed by Boucher, who has an arrangement
with Marriott).  My first 'grownup' experience with a Marriott
and given my advanced age, it was really a pleasure.
The man who opened the door for me and carried my suitcases
down two stairs, said "God Bless You" when i gave him a
2.00 tip.  I was embarrassed. Across the street they have
a mini mart which turned out to serve authentic and
reasonably priced Cuban sweets-I'm sorry I didnt stock
up because when i moved into Southbeach (I wanted
to see how the 'scene' was)there were none to be
found and the prices would have been unbelievable.
I did not partake of the breakfast buffet but it looked
quite sumptuous.

You know how they say Vegas casinos pump oxygen in their vents to keep their gamblers awake?  Well, same theory here at the Marriot Oceanfront. They are pumping something tropical, floral and aromatic in their vents, and you smell this scent the second you walk through their doors.  Very distinctive, yet subtle which is the theme on how the whole hotel is operated.  It's the little details that they pay attention to that which make the guests feel welcomed and relaxed.

I was the first to arrive of my group at 10:30 am, with the next girl coming 10 hours later.  Check-in is was a good 5 and a half hours away, but the front desk allowed me to have an extra, early check in. How nice, I won't have to live out of my suitcase, even though the hotel already ok'd me to sit at their pool while I waited.  The desk staff were very professional, attentive and willing to go the extra mile to help with whatever mundane, minute concern their guests have.  Case in point, one of the girls forgot her blackberry charger.  The desk staff went out of their way to find one that fit her older model, spending about 30 minutes trying to find several options for her to get a charge, trying everything from different USB cords, to bribing one of the staff to borrow their charger.  My experience with staff member Karl was pleasant as well. He was willing to check and double check several charges that incurred because of the confusion of all the girls and multiple check ins, and even willing to follow up with my bank. Customer service at its finest!!!

Our rooms were extra clean, mediocre space, but again EXTRA CLEAN.  They gave Bath and Body bathroom toiletries, a plus for the product junkie that I am. We had a two full bed occupancy, and the space was sufficient for 4 girls and all their luggage.  (guilty was me, with hence, extra luggage  ) The bathroom sink was outside of the shower/toilet area, again another plus making getting ready for four girls much more efficient.  We were able to request for a fridge for our room, and availability and turnaround for receiving it was under 10 minutes.  As if we didn't have enough things in our room, we also decided to request for a rollaway bed.  Same experience, same turnaround time, excellent service.  

The hotel has two sets of elevators, and the wonderful staff was smart enough to put our room right next to the back elevators, which was a direct shot to the hotel pool and beach.  Sweet, since we spent 75% of our time at the pool.

The pool itself needs its own review, its own set of five stars, and we all owe it to the pool guy, NOBERTO. How great can Noberto actually be? Ha, well ask any of the 9 girls and they will tell you.  We left the all infamous PALMS pool after our spa day to come back to our much preferred, spotless pool and attentive pool guy.  ATTENTIVE POOL GUY?  "What can he possibly do?"  Okay, well NOBERTO is the best! Again, since I arrived first, I was able to experience firsthand how great he is.  He fills up your ice water cups regularly, gives you ice towels without having to ask, brings you pillows, saves you pool noodles and floaties, and even brings you ipod speakers when you are struggling to listen to your ipod touch at maximum volume level.  I know the girls had their doubts while I sat poolside telling them, "Hurry up and get here!  THE POOL GUY IS THE BEST!!!"  No doubts after day two.  One of the girls went for an early run, and came back at 8:00 am saying, "He already has us set up."  9 lounge chairs with 2 towels and 1 pillow each; 3 tables; 4 umbrellas, and a partridge in a pear tree.  You can tell he loves his job and does it with such sincerity and passion!  Ha, I'm jealous.  

The pool has a great bar staff, with a Carabba's bar that is poolside, and one that is beachside.  Since we lounged by the pool most of the day, we were mostly served by Jason, aka the best bartender in Miami.  Yes, we did get lucky with the best pool guy and bartender.  They made our stay that much more relaxing.  Jason was attentive, entertaining, and such a nice, funny guy.  Always serving us gals with a big old smile and just talking it up without being phony or insincere.  Go to him for the best Italian Mai Tai and crispy calamari.

Outside of Carabba's beachside bar and dining area, there is access to the beach and boardwalk.   Very serene, private and nice.  Lounges and umbrellas available for purchase at $10 a pop.  We preferred our pool, but still a nice touch to have easy beach access.

Highly recommend this hotel for all its great touches and area!!!  Not too far from the South Beach area, located just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the congested area to rest and relax in the day,  but close enough for a cheap cab ride to party it up SoBe style in the evenings.  To Marriot and its staff, just a special thanks from us 9 girls!  We had a fabulous time!!!!!

What a deal!  Share the same beach as the Eden Roc and Fontaineblue at a fraction of the cost.  Ok, so they have dance parties by the beach, and we get a guy singing Wailers' covers.  I like reggae.  I want to dance-I'll go to a nightclub. Comfortable clean rooms, convenient location several miles from trendy South Beach.   Pool, mediocre Italian restaurant with lunch service by poolside.  Take a pass on so so breakfast.  There are several places with in minutes where you can get a fantastic breakfast for much less.  Great location for all ages.  Children enjoy the pool and beach.  Older teens and young adults prefer to people watch and shop.  I like to lie in a hammock near the pool, fly a kite on the beach or walk the boardwalk.  Good value for the location.

I thought the hotel was like most Marriott's.  I find they never disappoint me.  

The other review though is right in that the so called Italian resturant on the premises is pretty much a C list restaurant.  I ate there twice and was disappointed in the food quality.

The breakfast by the way is the best you can eat for $12.  I would highly recommend waking up early.

The people were very friendly and the service overall was great.  

The hotel itself is on the beach and it is somewhat deserated from everything else which is kind of nice for a couple.

This hotel is under construction and has been for some time, though they certainly bury that fact when you're booking. There is construction noise out by the pool and beach from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. I booked a day of spa treatments at the Fontainebleau just down the road and used their facilities instead: very good choice. The hotel room itself, just a king, was rather small but not uncomfortable. Their fitness center is well-equipped. My one serious complaint would be the valet service: you must pay $32/day to park your car, which I was aware of going in, but I did not expect the valets to be so very aggressive. Their over-attention made me anxious, for example, having one valet attempt to pack my trunk while I tried to politely explain it would be easier if I did it since I needed to take some things out of my bags and reshuffle, then needing to all out shout at him to get him to stop when he continued to insist on bungling my belongings, and on another occasion I had one valet unnecessarily hold my trunk open and hover staring at me while I tried to pack up and ensure I hadn't forgotten anything. All of this was done with the friendliest of airs, but I couldn't seem to tell them to LEAVE ME ALONE.

When I arrived the taxi driver had to help me carry my luggage up the stairs because no one was around to help me.
I couldn't find the front desk because it was a pair of tables the employees just stood and stared at me while myself and another guest wandered around searching for the front desk.  I was not notified that the hotel would be under renovation during my stay; even  though the girl at the front desk insisted that I was via email
There were ants all over my room.
The toilet didn't flush properly. I had to use the garbage can to pour water into the toilet.
There were about 100 children on my floor screaming back and forth to each other.
There other people on the floor talking loudly to each other from each end of the hall.
When I requested another room I was told nothing else was available.
When I attempted to ask for assistance with directions the manager turned his back to me; after several minutes a young lady did finally assist me when she was done with the guest she was helping.
I could hear people in the rooms next me taking showers.
I could smell the cleaner as housekeeping cleaned the bathroom in the room next to mine.
The satellite went out often.
I attempted to order room service and was told that I had to wait until 4 pm or go to the poolside tiki bar which didn't make sense if I was trying to order room service.
The entire stay was a complete disaster- not only will I never return to this hotel again but I don't ever plan on returning to Miami if this hotel and its staff is a representation of the people there.
The nicest part of the stay was that the beach was only footsteps away and the day I checked out.
I still can't believe I had ANTS all over my room!!!! How disgusting!
And I have yet to hear back from a representative after providing this same review to the hotel. A simple apology would have been nice.

Stay at hotel for Orange Bowl Game week. Go Mountaineers!  The morning breakfast buffet and staff were excellent.  The hotel staff was friendly. We asked for extra blankets and for a late checkout and quickly received these requests.

The language barrier was problematic -- English was a second language for most workers at the hotel -- you could not get anyone to understand and answer questions.

Overall experience was poor. Poor service, lack of quality in cleaning the room, elevator was broken causing long waits for the one that was working, staff had trouble understanding and speaking English, the gym lacked weight machines nor weights, ordered and waited 50 minutes for Tiki Grill food (ordered a salad), and indoor restrauant was noisy and service was just as slow. We stayed an extra 4 hours after checkout and checked our bags into storage; our bags were misplaced for when we returned to collect them causing unneeded panic while they searched for 15 minutes to find them.

They also arranged a transportation service to the Orange Bowl Game for 12 or so guests; this was a disaster.  

I do not plan to stay here ever again.

I'm giving this 2 stars because of the location; almost dropped dead when I got the check-out bill! Stayed only one night after a cruise. Room was nice, faced Collins Av; the windows were filthy. The maids don't vacuum under furniture, found out when I moved an armchair and was amazed at the dust bunnies! Don't run out of toilet paper since there was no spare rolls to be had in the room! Our room cost us $337+change! Buffet breakfast was $12.95 each but good. We booked through a travel agent and on our itinerary the room was supposed to be $199 or so plus tax; that's a far cry from $337+. Stay here if you like to waste money!

Older hotel built in early 1900's, the room is very very small with outdated furniture. Hopefully you don't need space as I was told our room was one of the bigger rooms... Disappointed!!

This is a great hotel located right on the beach.  I travel for a living and spend most of the year living in the courtyard, and from all the courtyards in the country that I have stayed in the past few years,  this is one of the better ones.

The staff is friendly, and had me checked in within a few minutes of walking in the front door.  Being a platinum member, I was given a free upgrade into a 2 room suite on the top floor overlooking the ocean.  I was a little disappointed in that of all the suites, all 11 floors below mine, had balconies.  My suit was the only one without a balcony, it would have been nice to sit on the balcony and watch life go by.  At least I was able to open the window and get the same effect.  Plus with the weather being in the mid 80's I doubt I would have spent much time on the balcony even if I had one.

When you walk out of the hotel on the beach side, there is the wooden boardwalk that goes in either direction along the coast.  My first night here,  I took the 3 mile walk along the boardwalk that went all the way thru the art deco district to the famous South Point park.  

I ended up deducting a star for being surprised by the $27 a day valet parking fee.  I wold expect that parking should be free for guests, but I guess being in the South Beach area, you should expect to pay a lot of money.  The service at the valet was great,  they do request that you give them about 20 minutes advance notice so that they can get your car and have it ready when you are ready to leave.

Overall, it was a great stay, and definitely worth checking out if you want to stay close to the art deco area, beach front, and want to pay a little less than what you would at the other hotels in the area.

I stayed here for free through my friends points.  This place is away from the action, but not really too far, and I actually liked that.  

it's an old hotel, that his been modernized.  And I loved they they kept the old cadillac sign.  it's got eveyhing you need.  Nothing fancy, but everything you need.   lots of outdoor areas to hang out, including hammocks, and the stretch of beach was deliciously quit.   Couldn't get internet connection in my room, they tried fixing it, to no avail.  Light burned out in bathroom area.

Staff was very nice.

This place is awesome.  From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, there was nothing to complain about this place.  

We walked in and was greeted by a very nice and helpful reception.  we were asked whether we wanted a higher or lower floor and after requesting a higher floor, we were given the top PH level. It was still the 1 bed standard room with city view, but at this level we had a partial ocean view and a nice view of the bay.  There was a lot of construction on collins ave and being on the higher floor also made the traffic noise almost nonexistent.  

The rooms all had new mattresses - ours was placed just a few weeks ago, and the hotel staff was working hard to replace all of the mattresses in all of the rooms.  The room was clean and the bathrooms were spotless.  There was a 32 inch HDTV and also free wi-fi in the room. And there was a mini-fridge and a safe in our room.  

There was a restaurant in the hotel, which we did not eat. After eating at some of Miami Beach's overpriced and underwhelming restaurants (especially on ocean drive), i wished we had eaten here.

There was an outdoor bar which was nice and had 2 for 1 happy hour everyday from 4-7PM.  Nice crowd and i think it served food from the restaurant.

The pool was nice - even though we mostly stayed on the beach.  

Overall, this was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.  

The only complaints were not related to the hotel - we had to rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach.  Two chairs and an umbrella were $30 a day.  I wish the hotel would have made a deal with these beach vendors, but they didnt.

Collins Ave - under construction.  It was 3 lanes and now 2 lanes.  Miami drivers are very pedestrian unfriendly.  Take care with crossing.  Miami drivers also honk a lot more than NYC drivers.

The local stores nearby the hotel charge A LOT for everything including water. My advice, walk to 41st street, go across the bridge and head to walgreens.  Its only a 5-8 minute walk and get water, beer and snacks there.  Its much cheaper.  The store across the street charges $3-4 for a 1.5L bottle of water.  Walgreens charges $1.69 for a gallon (3.78 liters).  Suncreen is $15 a bottle across the street and $10.99 for two bottles at Walgreens.  Its worth it to walk a little.  

But none of these complaints had anything to do with the hotel itself.  If you are looking for a nice hotel at a reasonable price, stay here!

I stayed at this hotel 3 nights with my boyfriend and couldn't have asked for a better hotel. All of the staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. It didn't even matter that there was construction; the beach was the place to be.

The rooms were perfect for what we needed, and cleaned first thing in the morning. I felt more than comfortable there, and would have no problem planning a second trip. Definitely ask for a room with a balcony!

We asked to extend our check out time, and it was NO problem to them! Fantastic! Thank you for such a great, welcoming experience.

Do not get room 317 or 319.  Be warned.  The machine outside the room has a humming noise all day and night.  Already got settled in with infant who was already sleeping, so kept it.  Worst night stay at a hotel, ever!  The location is great.  The pool and and tiki bar area was great too.  0 star for the rooms.  4 stars for the amenities and location.

When originally booking a trip to get away from the toils of graduate school and work, I used Expedia to look up ratings (sorry Yelp, this hotel was not reviewed). For some reason, I got this confused with the Courtyard by Marriott Miami Beach-South Beach ( yelp.com/biz/courtyard-b… ). This hotel was not listed. Considering the cost and location I was happy.

My wife and I stayed here for a short 4 day, 3 night trip, 3/17/08 - 3/20/08.

On the first day I pulled into the front. The building said "the Cadillac". A valet welcomed us to the Marriott and took the car away.

Check-in was painless. We took the elevators in the rear because the 2 main elevators see high traffic. We had room 934 and it was wonderful. The bed was very soft, the plasma tv was nice with the other standard ammenities. The room thermostat worked very well. Unfortunately, WiFi was not available for this room, so I had to connect my laptop to a CAT5 cable or go to the lobby to surf for porn and locally Yelped restaurants. Boo.

The local breakfast option is the breakfast buffet. For $12+ per person, you can eat all of the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and cold cereals and fruit as you like. The highlights are the eggs station, where a gentleman cooks your eggs to order and the waffle machine. Although service is friendly and beverage needs are fulfilled quickly, I don't think it is worth it, since I don't eat that much for breakfast.

The other option is Carrabba's Italian Grill ( yelp.com/biz/carrabbas-i… ). Meh. The outdoor tiki bar is what it's good for. Nothing else.

The major draw of this is hotel is its location on the beach. You exit the hotel to see the pool, hot tub, chairs, hammocks and the outdoor bar, the boardwalk and finally the beach. Because the weather was overcast and windy, my wife and I stayed on the property and enjoyed the hot tub and pool. We laid out on the beach for 40 seconds and retreated because of the pelting sandstorm.

On Wednesday, we got a couples massage in the cabana by the pool. It was nice (not the best massage ever ~ $115 each person for 60 minutes) but it took two separate attempts to obtain an appointment at the front desk. I did not have confidence that the front desk folk understood all of the service provided (in this instance).

We encountered a small infestation of Spring Break kids. It was not too bad. I realized that my mistake of booking the wrong Marriott was a blessing in disguise. During the week, I really got sick of seeing drunken meatheads wearing their cleanest wife-beaters and hoochie chickens walking the strip.

Would I come here again? Yes I would, but not during Spring Break.

Stayed here 3 nights for a convention (during spring break coincidentally).  Valet parking only, $32 a bit pricey but the valet staff was great.  Front desk was very good to a little grumpy (dude, smile every now and then, you won't break your face!).  I was offered a city view room on 10 as i checked in early and that was fine - view of the Intracoastal and downtown Miami, with a sliver of the beach if I looked backwards out the window.  The pool was under reno/construction which did not impact my visit but could really have upset me had I had other expectations.  Small but adequate and clean fitness center.  Great tiki bar by the pool; you can see the ocean and watch incoming flights scream overhead.  Food by Carrabba's, appetizer/bar munchies only but adequate.  I would return here.

Your normal Courtyard Marriott but right on Miami Beach. The room price isn't bad compared to some of the neighboring hotels. There is a restaurant in the hotel (Carabba's I believe) and the restaurants close by are all in other hotels. Some are extremely good though so you won't always have to head down to South Beach for a good meal. The pool is ok but the beach is great.

One note: they are building a new tower right next to the pool so you'll be serenaded with the normal construction sounds at the least for the near future. Construction is expected to finish mid-2013.

My boyfriend and I checked in on a Wednesday, checked out on Friday.  

One of two negative points I had about the hotel were that, first, the room we were in smelled of cheap cologne or of a very strong male deodorant.  Probably a past guest had smoked in the room and housekeeping had to cover it up, but the scent was so strong throughout the room I felt dizzy.  The only other real negative point I had with this location involved the elevators.  I'm sure this is an older property, but to use the same elevators for both the guests and for service (engineering, housekeeping, catering), it caused us to wait almost 5-minutes for the elevator at one time, which is absurd.

Not necessarily a negative, as they do warn guests - if you valet your car, there'll be a note on your ticket to call valet at least 25-minutes prior to when you need your car.  They do take  25-minutes.

On the flip side, the hotel has some awesome points.  It opens up directly to Miami Beach, and there are chairs specifically for their guests.  But be mindful you will need to pay for these chairs/umbrellas.  Prices range from $15 for just the umbrella, up to $85 for a "bed" and a shaded cover.  Also, you can order a drink and something to eat and it'll be brought to you!  The location is a quick 5-10 minute drive to Lincoln Rd, so you're also just far enough to avoid the bulk of the traffic of the area.  The pool and jacuzzi looked amazing, but we couldn't resist the Atlantic Ocean just another 30-second walk away.  The staff is friendly and helpful, and when you walk into the lobby the decor is chic and modern.

Such a cool vacation hotel

1) Cadillac sign on the front of the hotel gives it a legit art deco feel

2) pool/jacuzzi are simple, but good

3) beachside location is amazing. Love, love, love the wooden boardwalk that stretches along mid beach

4) the balcony in our room was our favorite spot to chillax, snack, chat, especially in the evening

5) walking distance to the clubs @ fountainbleau

She and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay :D

I enjoyed my stay at the courtyard Marriott while in Miami. We were told upon check in that our stay/total had to be paid in advance, you normally pay for your room upon check out, my friends and I found this a little strange, as we've never encountered this while staying at any hotel in South Beach. The hotel is NOT close by any means to Lincoln Rd or Ocean Dr. If you don't have a car, be prepared to pay close to $20.00 round trip for a cab.  
The hotel was under construction during our stay.  There was a lot of noise at the pool area during this time and not a lot of available pool chairs.  We did visit the Tiki Bar area; they serve food from the Carrabba's restaurant that is on site.   Please note: there is a $10.00 charge for beach chairs while on the beach from the hotel and $15.00 for umbrellas. Again, this was something new for us as we've stayed at other hotels on South Beach and never encountered these types of fees. Usually there are pool fees at $15.00 per day, but nothing this costly! There were numerous pizza menu's delivered underneath our room doors every night, this became an ongoing joke and a nuisance. We didn't understand why hotel management would allow this to happen.
There is no concierge on site, so if you're new to Miami, don't expect much direction or help on what you can and should do while visiting the area. We visited late September, which is one of the rainy months for Miami. It rained two days straight while we were there and there wasn't much for us to do

I drove up and was immediately greeted by the multiple attendants they always have outside of the hotel. Whenever I needed a taxi or something for my room, I got it immediately. They were always recommending places for me and opening doors are carrying things. I've rarely ever been treated with such respect and sincerity at any other hotel. They were making me spoiled with everything they were doing for me. I didn't have a TV remote for my room, they said they'd take care of it right away and no more than 5 minutes later did I have a remote delivered to my room. Then the location was simply amazing. You walk right out of the back of the hotel and right onto the beach where they have chairs ready and will help you as soon as you get there. If you're thirsty, they'll bring you something to drink or adjust your umbrella. Greatest customer service ever. I fully recommend anybody visiting to come to this hotel!

Stayed here a few weeks ago during MMW and I really liked the place. Its not in tbe middle of the craziness of South Beach but its not far either so the balance is good. There is a little market/deli accross the street that is amazing and you can get all the essentials from which made it so much better. The rooms are kinda small but clean.

Stayed here for a last minute trip to the boat show.  The only reason I marked 3 stars instead of higher is that our room was the size of a thimble! Seriously, this is coming from a girl that visits NYC a lot! A thimble! Oh and there was no full length mirror VERY odd.  But now on to the good parts... It was clean and they use Paul Mitchell products. Now the best parts...You HAVE to go see Sal and Ashley out at the bar behind the pool.  Sal was there the first night and was amazing at holding different conversations going with all the guests while always keeping an eye on everyone's drinks! Per his suggestion we came back the next night to visit Ashley and she was just as delightful! We will probably stay at a hotel with bigger rooms next year but we will definitely come back to the bar!

This place is not your typical Marriott. It has a Miami flare and known as the Cadillac. The place was comfortable and clean. It has a great location a few steps to the beach. The two pools and jacuzzi is also great. The burgers near the pool are delicious. The room are decent and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable. The only down side was limited tv channels and my fridge did not work. Kind of a long walk to south beach and Lincoln road. The people in the front lobby and outside entrance are all very nice and provide great service.

Excellent customer service, small issue with getting the bill squared away but the concierge went out of her way to fix it, even comping us a free meal at the carrabbas located in the hotel. Loved the Art Deco style they have kept since renovation and you can't beat the beach front location. Rooms were small but had everything we needed! Thoroughly enjoyed everything.

This is my 2nd time staying at this location, I would love to provide the property with a 4/5 star rating however the fact that valet is 32.00 a night, I didn't pay that much in D.C. I understand parking is limited on SoBe however Elite members should be waved or discounted the fee, they do it at Marriott Airport Miami. Oh well, I guess I'm a sucker for great customer service.  The hotel is going through a renovation but that has not lessened their class act service. Cell service is a bit sketchy throughout the bldg but wifi works great. Gym is so so, not all of the monitors on the treadmills work and channels are very limited. Let's hope that gets corrected soon. Only free weights are in gym, no nautilus equip. Property is great, minus the slight imperfections. Pleasantly pleased.

Just got back from a long weekend stay, and I was pretty satisfied overall. A few things..

Pros:
Location location location (to the beach). You can literally walk from the pool right out to the ocean. Doesn't get better than that. You can order drinks and food and they will bring it right out as you're laying in the sand. The pool was nice too for when we needed shade or we wanted to sit on some chairs (We were too cheap to spring for the chairs on the beach)

Small but meaningful touches. They had large jugs of fruit flavored waters in the lobby and by the pool which was soo nice for the hot days! They also have a Starbucks in the lobby, but don't waste your money as they had free coffee down in the lobby throughout the mornings. One day as we were laying out in the early afternoon, Starbucks came and passed out free samples of lattes! Then the next day the pool attendant passed out free popsicles! Score!

There is a small 'cafe' across the street that sells sunscreen, snacks, beer etc.. and they also have a breakfast and lunch menu. We got a fruit salad and some beer and water bottles to stock our hotel fridge which was nice so we did not have to buy breakfast every morning.

Cons:
Location location location (to SoBe). No restaurants were nearby! If you didn't want Carrabaas, it was about a 30 minute walk to the next closest place! There is a nice boardwalk that goes all the way down Collins Ave. to South Beach where all the bars, shops, restaurants are and we walked that. It was probably about a 45 minute walk. Overall it wasn't a huge deal because we wanted to see the city anyways, it was just a bit frustrating.

The elevator situation was slow...only 2 in the entire place since it's such an old building. Be prepared to stop on every floor and make room for housekeeping etc.. Not a huge deal whatsoever, but just an FYI.

Overall I would probably stay again next time I'm in SoBe. The lobby is chic and clean, and the room was fine and clean. I know people mentioned the pizza flyers under the door..when we checked in and got to our room, we had 4 under the door, but then we never received any after that. Service was good to...men opening doors for you and the pool staff were super nice too.

Stayed for one nught for wifes birthday  .I booked a ocean view room the gave me a room with a view of the side building with a crane . My second room was not a king room like I paid for .it had 2 queen beds , infested with ants and the bathroom fixtures where falling apart . I asked the front desk for assistance or maybe a comp on my stay and they refused to help . Needles to say will not be staying or recommend to anyone in the future!!!!!!

My family came to visit me from Michigan and stayed here.  I decided to get a room next to their's and had the best experience thanks to the wonderful concierge  Mr. Velasquec. Living on the beach I am familiar with all the restaurants and hotels.  To my surprise Mr. Velasquec  knew some little known restaurants that were charming and affordable.  The hotel itself was clean and neat.  The beach was quiet and my family loved it!!!!  I definitely recommend this hotel thanks to the wonderful staff.

This hotel pushed me from being Diamond with Hilton HHonors to transferring 90% of my work travel to Marriott properties. They knew my name before they saw my luggage or ID, upgraded us to free breakfast and ocean view, and every person that I interacted with at the hotel was super friendly. I can't wait to come back when the construction is complete so I can see the remodeled hotel.

Great location!!! The hotel and room was great, ocean view. Two pools were clean and good temperature. As for thr BAR it was the worst one I have been too. How do you run out of "mint"???? Two days straight I wanted a Mojito and the bartender says he doesn't have"Mint"'  I yhen asked for a martini, I almost threw it out, tasted like crap.  STAY AWAY FROM THE BAR!!!!!

After a botched stay at the Hotel Intercontinental, this place was a relaxing breath of fresh air. No worries and no hurries is the theme of this hotel. All hotel accommodations here were clean and well kept and the staff were friendly and professional. The pool and tiki hut bar were enjoyable and the beach was amazing. This place was far more deserving of the star rating than the over-hyped and awfully stuffy Hotel Continental. We're already planning a return trip and will stay here again!

I stayed at the Cadillac for 6 weeks for work.  Overall the place was great. The ladies at the front desk were excellent, especially the sweet girl, Yessica T. who I believe was the manager. Carrie, the pool attendant always greeted me with a smile and was very hospitable.  The bartenders at Carrabbas, Cha Cha, Sal, David and James always welcomed me. The maid service was, okay. I always had to ask for more coffee and I felt I was almost bothersome to them.  The maid service is the only thing keeping me from five stars. Loved the relaxation pool and Tiki bar with a great ocean view.

Very cool Art Deco building. The lobby hall and the room interior look renovated. The hall looks nice but the room interior is really tired: bathroom is tiled with a motel bathroom grade, carpet is old and dirty. The worst part is the long hallway has a terrible combined smell of bleach, air freshener, and mold. The staff is very nice and friendly, that's why I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 star. I have stayed at many Marriott hotels and found it very disappointing this time.

Built in 1940- this Courtyard hotel,( back in the day it was called the Cadillac) is done in the art deco style.  While the property has been restored- I love that since it is on the register of historic places- they are required to keep the deco style which was such a part of Miami during the past.  So don't be confused when you pull up to the front for the name Cadillac is still on the entrance way.  It made me feel like I was going back in time.

The rooms are predictable for this chain but that just means a great bed, well equipped work station, free coffee and Internet during your stay.

I asked for a room upgrade and the front desk staff was very helpful in finding me a room on a higher floor that overlooked the ocean and had a smallish balcony with a table and chair on it for me to enjoy my morning coffee.

The property also includes an outdoor pool, a tiki bar, and beach access which makes this a great location if fun in the sun is your primary reason for visiting.  But know that you will have to drive to most everywhere else as there are few restaurants or shops within walking distance of the hotel.

And know that the Tiki bar has a daily 2 for happy hour from 4-7 so it's the perfect place to relax after a long day.

So why only 3 stars?  Well there were a couple of glitches on this stay.  First of all- know that they are going through a huge construction project right now.  This is listed on their website and the front desk does their best to prepare you but they are building a huge tower between the existing hotel and the beach which means most of the ocean side rooms face the construction.  They work 6 days a week and it's pretty loud- especially by the pool.  So if peace and tranquility is what you are looking for- you may want to wait until the construction is done to visit.

And to make matters worse- on one of the nights I was here, there was an emergency evacuation of the hotel after most were in bed.  The stairways could not accommodate the quantity of people running down them, old people were being pushed aside and given there is no speaker system in the hotel- most had to find their way down to the first floor only to find that the all clear had been given.

But the thing that bothered me the most about this hotel is that they let people come through the hotel and push "pizza flyers" under the doors.  This is a safety issue for me.  I assume that the people who are up on the room floors are either guests of the hotel or hotel staff.  I don't like the idea of just anyone wandering the halls . . and I really don't like all the paper that immediately goes into the waste can.  C'mon Marriott!  I expect better of you!

Valet parking will run you an extra $32 a day, and it takes about 25 minutes to get your car so plan to call long before you are ready to go downstairs.

All in all- this hotel should be a 4 star review and probably will be once the construction is done and business gets back to usual.  But for now- A-ok is all I can give it.

This hotel has been a headache since we got here. It is very expensive. And our room was not worth the money, it was small and right next to the elevators where there is a lot of noise. When we woke up there were to men outside our window since the hotel is under construction which meant we had to close our shades in order for them not to see in. In addition the hot tub was closed for renovations and they also charge you for a lounge chair on the beach even though we are already spending way to much on the stay here. Unless you have no where else to go I would book elsewhere.

We stayed at this hotel for our friends wedding in July 2013. We should have spent a few hundred $ more and stayed at The Palms, which is a block away. First, the room was a lot smaller then it looked online. I think they show an upgraded room on their website. Don't get me wrong the finishes are the same, but there is no sitting area or extra space. We booked a King, but I am sure the bed was a Queen. A king size bed wouldn't fit in that room. Another issue we had was that the hotel charged an extra $380 when we checked in. My bank sent me an alert and the hotel management got it fixed. But, everyone on staff could not explain where the extra charge came from. The manager faxed paperwork to my bank in order to remove the charge so I appreciated how they handled the situation. Unfortunately, when we got back home another $380 was charged to my account. The new $380 charge took 2 weeks to be removed. It was a huge inconvenience.
Anywhooo back to the hotel accommodations. The location is pretty good if you want to be away from the night life scene. If you want to party stay at the Marriott on South Beach. There is a liquor store right next door and a Carrabba's in the hotel. There is a Tiki bar behind the pool that has food, but it is just a scaled down menu from Carrabba's. I have no problem with Carrabba's, but a chain restaurant is the last place I want to eat in Miami.
Beware of false advertisement, the hotel claims that the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach are free with your stay BUT they aren't. I went out to the beach and sat in a chair and a guy quickly asked did I want to rent a chair. He explain that they are a separate company then the hotel. The rental is pretty cheap, but I was told it was included with the room. The hotel is about a $10 cab ride to get to Lincoln (where all the shopping and restaurants are located). All and all it wasn't that bad, but the extra charges were unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros: 1. WiFi is fast.  2. Room is clean. 3. Bartender Ashley is very nice at the Tiki Bar.

Cons: 1. pool area is full of unpleasant noises - horrible, piped in loud music and the constant loud hum of generators, not at all conducive to relaxation. 2. Room is small. 3. Whirlpool is under construction. 4. If you book an oceanfront room, make sure they don't stick you in a room overlooking the generators.  They are very noisy. 5.  Check your final bill before you leave.  We were charged for parking and never had a car.  I have heard that is not that unusual.

If I hadn't booked through Priceline, I would have canceled and found another place. I am stuck here.

Our priority:  The Beach.  It was beautiful, sandy, not overcrowded (July), and water was clear.

Location:  As mentioned North of South Beach (a good thing for family's).  Right on the beach.  Short drive to Miami downtown and Miami beach shopping.  Walk to CVS, Baskin Robbins, some smaller restaurants.

Staff worked hard to help.  Rooms are on the smaller side, but typical of the area.  Great for families.

Once construction is complete, I would highly recommend.  Of course I'm sure the prices will sadly increase as well!

This is an absolutely amazing hotel at first we had a problem checking in and there seem to had been a minor communication problem with one of the front desk employees which took practically half our day which is why I'm giving this place three stars. We were only in town for one day and ask the employee "when well our rooms be ready?" So he said they would give us a call which was not a great answer because that gave us the impression that the room was going to be ready at any minute now. I was upset because we waited four hours for our room when all the employee had to say was "checkin is at four" so we can go out and explore this amazing town but we wasted give 4 hours waiting for the room. after waiting I got mad and March to the front desk to talk to the supervisor who was extremely pleasant and she explained to me why we haven't gotten our rooms. I did get I little frustrated eventually calm down and she gave a a free breakfast comp. other then the miscommunication we had a great time and the room was absolutely lovely.

If you're looking for a hotel that is right on the beach and don't want to pay a lot of $$$, then this is the hotel for you. We stayed in a room that had somewhat of a view of the beach. They have their own area on the beach. You have to rent the chairs and cabanas. It was $46 to rent two chairs and a cabana for the whole day. Definitely worth it! They have someone who will take your orders for drinks or food. The rooms were clean and updated. The only con would be the parking fee ($35 per night), but it's expected. Oh and coming into the room with a bunch of menus that were slipped under the door, but the hotel doesn't have control over that. They also have a breakfast buffet for $16 or you can grab food and coffee at Cuban Cafe across the street. I would definitely stay here again!

Ok me and my new husband love this hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon. All of the staff is very helpful and friendly. We were impressed with the atmosphere; very up beat. This hotel has a personality of its own. Located right on Collins St. We walked the boardwalk behind the hotels and ran into a pool party hosted by Nick Cannon singers J Lo, Magic and Lil John and more. We will be back next year to celebrate our first anniversary. The construction was a nuisance and parking not good at all. In fact the only parking for these hotels is valet parking. At this hotel it is $32.50/day

One of my favorite hotels, used to be the Old Cadillac Hotel back in the 1950s.  Right on beach, incredible Collins Ave location, has very boutique feel to it.. Outstanding service.

They are doing a major renovation and building on a 2nd tower which will be awesome when complete, right now pool is being done as well. I would highly recommend this property, I have been staying at this property for 10 years.

Just returned from a stay at the hotel.  My wife and I arrived sick and needed to check in early in order to lie down.  The receptionists at the front desks were so helpful and polite as were the bellmen, doormen and valets.   We were put on a wait list to get in our room early once a room was available.   It took only about an hour.  Not bad since check in at 4pm.

The lobby is decent but rather warm and had some knats flying around.  The main pool is basically for kids but there is an "adult only" pool which can get crowded.  There is a small Jacuzzi also but we didn't use it.  I must say that given the hotel's footprint,  they used the space well.  It comes across as being large.

The buffet breakfast is $16 and did the job.  One day I just ordered pancakes off the menu.  What a mistake.   It took like 40 minutes to arrive and they were burned but under cooked.  How do you do that.   I sent them back in exchange for eggs.  Come to find out the next day from the waitress that the cook got insulted, pissed off and quit!  A plus for the hotel.  

The $6 martinis at the happy hr were the best.  Two happy hours everyday so if you miss one you can hit the other.

The beach is cool.  Just that for two lounge chairs and an umbrella the cost was $45!!!  Hello.  Daily???  The vendor next door has them for $30.  Bring your own.   I saw people do that.  Folks also brought their own cooler.   There is a Walgreens 2 blocks up from the hotel to get your beach/pool stuff if you need it.  Plus one or two folks ate their own food by poolside.   The hotel seems not to mind.  No mess was left around.  The property is very clean.

The room was get.  Oceanview. See pictures.   Everything worked and were appointed.   The halls, bathrooms and elevators were fine.

Every worker at the hotel was pleasant.   Costumer service was top of the line!  I'll return to this hotel if all remains the same and recommend it.

Overall a great location for the reasonable room rate.  Just know that the ride to South Beach by taxi was about 12 mimutes and cost $12 if driven on Collins.  Don't let the taxi take Ocean Drive.  The sites seeing is fantastic but it takes twice as long due to traffic and cost damn near twice as much. $20.

Service was awesome!  The best part about this hotel was that the staff was super accommodating and friendly.  It's right on the beach.  You walk down to the pool, pass the bar, go out the gate, and the sand is right there!  We had a gorgeous view of the ocean.  

The price was reasonable.  A group of four of us shared a queen room at a reasonable rate.  We even got the week discount for staying for six days in a row.  

This hotel is located in the north part of South Beach near the less busy bridge.  It was an easy 15 minute cab ride from downtown, a 5 minute cab ride or 30 minute walk to the happening part of South Beach, and a few blocks away from Club LIV.  There's a liquor store right on the corner too.  We came here for WMC and Ultra and this ended up being a great location!

I would definitely stay here again.

After the nightmare that was Hotel 18, we stayed at the Loews for three nights.  Then we cruised and now we have one night back in Miami and were pleasantly surprised at this hotel.  First impression was Amrita who greeted us so cheerfully we wondered if we were still on our Disney cruise.  She got us an early check in and upgraded our room to one with an ocean view.  The room was clean and updated.  The pool is big and warm, the hot tub hot, the tiki bar on the boardwalk looked great although we didn't eat there and we enjoy carrabba's Italian food as the hotel restaurant (see review).  In all this place was a great place for our last night in Miami.

We arrived at 6:00 pm on Saturday and was told our room wasn't ready! REALLY?!?! At 6, not an early check-in. If I had flown in and had luggage and my 2 year old and just told to wait for a phone call, I would have been irate. I was offered some rum punch behind the desk clerk helping us and he took my credit card and license to input into the computer, he took my cellphone number and said he would call as soon as the room was ready. By 7:30, no phone call. I stopped by the desk and they had no record of me coming by the first time. We finally got our room. Aside from that, the rooms were clean, the pool, cabanas and pool bars were outstanding. We had a great weekend, but highly disappointed with the check-in and desk clerk.

I enjoyed my stay here. The construction was a little nerve racking when trying to catch an afternoon nap, but overall I would return. Goldie at the lobby bar is a sweetheart and Sal at the outside tiki bar is awesome. My room was clean and I could see the ocean but I could also see/hear construction to my left side. I would give 5 stars but I felt shorted as far as the shower situation. Glass corner shower with no railing and nothing to hold onto as well as a tiny soap dish.

P.S. stay away from the Primo Cafe across the street. That place sucks donkey d!ck.

The hotel bar is horrible compared to carrabas outside or in. This is farther than I would like for south beach fun but the location is nice if you prefer to get away from the craze at night.

Fabulous pools, perfect beach front access with lounge chairs for hotel guests. The bar outside has a "rule" to only serve 3 drinks or they need to get approval. That was fine, I got approval for a 4th drink, and that was really all I needed anyway.

The staff were really nice. We did have to ask for more towels and the lotion on the bathroom was already half used when I tried to use it. So I did request new stuff from house keeping.

The staff were accommodating, was able to get me checked in to a room 3 hours early! The guys working the front door were very helpful in providing recommendations as to where to go and eat.

Miami Beach was not my scene, a little too busy for me, but this hotel was very quiet and comfortable. If I ever went back I would stay here.

The room itself was small, we had one where we had a tower in front of us, but had peripheral views of the beach. The bed was comfortable, the balcony was small, water pressure was good! A solid hotel.

Stayed here for a total of 5 nights!! All in all I really quite liked this hotel and would stay again ... For those of you who would like to know about the ins and outs of the hotel, please see the pros and cons below :-D
PROS:
- Rooms were of a good size, clean, had all the amenities required.
- Staff were friendly and helpful
- Loved that there were two pool areas and one of which was more of an adults area to chill without the madness of the main pool.
- The Tiki bar around the pool was also great:  lovely food, great cocktails and again friendly staff.
- Clean and stylish lobby with cool music playing day and night.
- Breakfast offered a good selection of food to choose from.
- located right on Miami beach broadwalk and next the the beach.
CONS:
- if going to the beach the hire costs for sun lounges were quite pricey.
- location was ok, located along one of the main roads in Miami but if you wanted to go for food or to go shopping, most places were a good 30/60min walk away.
- lots of construction yapping around the area, all of which you could here whilst chilling round the pool. This was quite distracting when trying to read my book at the pool side.
- the outside of our rooms windows were filthy!!!
- every night of our stay we had approx 1-3 pizza leaflets/menus slid under the door! This became very annoying!!!

We just paid $700 for ONE night in this shitty hotel! The room is incredibly small and looks like it hasn't been updated in almost 10 years. The toilet is constantly running and there is a noise that comes through the vent that sounds like a laundry room that never stops. We got ZERO sleep. When the "Manager" was notified of these issues, all he replied was "ok" and didn't even have the courtesy to apologize. We could have gotten a better room at a motel. RUDE Management and almost just as bad accommodations. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

We have stayed here at least 4 times. The hotel is nice but the service is hit or miss. The first day our hotel room was clean but there was a rag on the bed. Second day - no towels. Third day- maids took cups we were using for making our own drinks in the room even though we stacked them and put all our toothbrushes in them.  They left us about 10 bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and lotion though, perhaps as a consolation.

Service in the restaurant also varied from good hostessing and great omelette making (he brought my omelette to my table so I did not have to wait!) to terrible waiting (they add in a 15 percent tip) to very good waiting (Maly).
We love the 2 pools (1 for adults only but no shade) and the hot tub. Great access to the beautiful beach. For $45 you can get an umbrella and 2 chairs all day on the beach. Marcus is friendly and helpful with getting you set up but come close to 9 am if you want a front row spot on the beach and it is busy.
The service at the Tiki bar is friendly but reliably bad. One waiter literally left the premises without handing us over to someone else... We did not see him for 10-15 minutes then we saw him strolling in through the entry gate out of nowhere. Really? Oh, he still got his15 percent though because that is automatically added in. The waitress we had the next day did not leave the premises but we had to hunt her down after we waited 15 minutes after finishing our meals. We had a repeat experience the 3rd day here with yet another waitress. All the Tiki bar staff were friendly... Just poorly trained and/ or poorly supervised.
Luckily, we are very happy campers while on vacation and I laugh off the poor service... It is beautiful here and I'm always feeling lucky to just be out if the Wisconsin cold!

As a marriott platinum elite member, I am disappointed in the service but I do not blame the employees...unless they are in management. As I stand at the bar, it is under staffed and I was kicked out of their employee "party area," as I was explained it and was told I am not, "VIP." Then why hold a "party" in the lobby with a DJ?

The poor bartender was serving the "employee party" and guests...all on his own. I watched as other employees just socialized and danced. I am horrified as the bar manager decided to dance with her employees. I know her as the manager after speaking with her during happy hour.

Also, as I mistakenly walked out towards the velvet ropes, I was kicked out of the employee private party. I asked about the closest bathroom and was quickly "SHOVED" out of the infamous velvet ropes by a woman in thick rimmed gkasses.

I have no issues with employee parties unless they are advertised in front of patrons and advised they can attend by "spilling" the right name.

I guess my 1500 employee company will be taking its business outside if Marriott.

Overall a solid place to stay. Easy to get back and forth from the ocean the the pool. Centrally located on Collins. Staff were very nice. I didn't always like getting the 15% gratuity but most of the time the staff earned it so I gave even more. I just don't like automatic tips in general but I understand. The only real irritant was having to call downstairs for ice and wait for it to arrive. Why no ice machines?

This is a very nice location. The staff was very friendly. The room we had was small and came with a mini fridge. Housekeeping did a great job. The room was clean to the dust test.
When the lobby elevator gets busy look for the one on the way out to the pool. Parking in the area is limited. Valet at the hotel ran $32 per day. The small market across the street, Primo is a plus for the area. At liquor store is at the end of the driveway.

We checked in late in the evening and called ahead to request a good view.  First room we were given in the original tower was awful-no good.  We stay at Courtyards often in NYC and all have been very nice and well maintained.  Miami needs an update.  We agreed to pay $40 a night more and were moved to the new tower to an odd shaped room directly above the pool on the 4th  floor.  No good. We ended up on the 11th floor with a beautiful ocean view. We are Platinum members - they should know better.  Everything worked out fine -after jumping through a few hoops. I would definitely stay here again. The final room was brand new with an outstanding view.

There are some nice ammenties at this location. This is not a resort property however has great access to the beach and also 2 nice pools on the property. There is a cute Tiki bar (most properties on the boardwalk have one) and there is a Carabas adjacent to the hotel.

This place was great.  When I arrived the outside has the original art deco architecture.  The lobby is very nice and check in was a breeze.  The staff were very friendly and always available to answer any questions.  

My room was a suite that overlooked the ocean.  Located in the new tower. The bed was very comfortable.  I loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves.  

The Tiki lounge was nice, but the food was kind of bland and boring.  

As far as location goes, it is a bit away from the action.  It is about a 9 dollar cab ride to South Beach.  Not a big deal.  

One thing I found strange was the lobby smelled like strong perfume all the time.  I think that they filter it in.  Kind of nauseating.  

Also, I only received one flyer under my door for pizza.  lol

This place is really great, fantastic beach views and the drinks are pretty good too. It's expensive, but not bad in comparison with the rest of SoBe.

Something to watch out for is that this is hotel has a large amount of your groups that come through for only a day or two, which can make the hotel a little awkward feeling, depending on the tour group.

Facilities are awesome, great property and everyone from the staff is fantastic. CALL AHEAD AT LEAST 20 MINS FOR YOUR CAR IF YOU VALET. Even if you valet, they park your car on the street in the neighborhood- don't expect covered/protected parking.

It's a great hotel for the price and the location is prime. I recommend it highly.

What a nice surprise!

My cruise line put me into this hotel for the night before my cruise.  Being so far from the port made me a bit apprehensive as well as there being nothing in the area.  I arrived at the hotel around 3 pm and was promptly checked in.  

This is where the star comes off - the person at the hotel front desk was not super knowledgeable about the NCL shuttles which come on a weekly basis.  I was finally able to get my question answered (very basic question), but it took some calling around on my part.  I was also not issued a towel card.  The people at the pool graciously made one for me, but I was not made aware of this at check-in.

Otherwise, the room was quite spacious and had a refrigerator.  They used Paul Mitchell products.  This was a welcome retreat to unfamiliar hotel toiletry brands.  The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

They had a great pool area with all kinds of chairs.  One word of warning - This is not a quiet pool  People were around talking and having a great time.  There is also easy access to the beach.  You do need to pay $13 for a chair and umbrella, however.  

The staff is very friendly.  I was even offered popcorn as I walked in from the pool!

One hint - Breakfast here is pricey.  There is a small Cuban grocery store across the street that offers great, gigantic breakfast sandwiches for around $5.

I love this place. My family has been there twice and we plan to go again. Everyone is so nice, the rooms are spotless and it's in the perfect location. They also have a Starbucks in the lobby!  I would not stay anywhere else when visiting Miami beach. If you go, I recommend splurging on a balcony room/oceanfront.

3) food at hotel is mostly taken care of by carrabas restaurant and is excellent.  I recommend everything on the poolside menu and drinks are amazing as well.

4) beach is amazing water temperature  on New Year's Eve is around 80++ degrees, this is unbelievable considering its December and freezing cold in other parts of the country.
Another really cool feature of the Miami beaches is that you can swim out for at least a mile on shallow water which is cool, because the farther you swim out the nicer and cleaner the water is.

I paid over 600 a night and this particular hotel is not a 600@night hotel.  Considering its high season and a holiday I had few choices.  

My only complaint was that pit bull was having a New Years concert next door and although I am a fan I was not able to sleep past 6:30am when his crew started banging. Away to set up for the New Year's Eve party.

I did speak with the manager here at Courtyard "Yessica Panchame" and let her know of the noise issues and she did make adjustments to my rate and was very understanding.  Now the plus side of all the banging noise is that I will have a front row seat to the pit bull New Years bash from my balcony here at the Marriott.  

I would stay here again and enjoyed my time.

We just loved our stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are kept very clean and they are very spacious. The pools are clean and the attendants are very friendly. The staff in the downstairs restaurant are also welcoming and appeared to love their jobs. The parking attendants seem to get a little backed up in the evening and it can take as long as 30 minutes to get your car from the valet. The beach chairs are a little on the pricey side with $20 for the chair and 35 for the chair with the umbrella for the day.The sheets and towels are soft. The products and the bathroom are top-quality. The response time from the staff to bring extra towels and blankets is very quick. The recommend  from the concierge for meals were well thought out and appropriate. I would love to go back anytime.

Solid hotel in a great location.  I am a Platinum elite member and try to stay with Marriott.  Hotel doesn't disappoint- pool is nice and clean.  The breakfast was delicious with the best juice and coffee I've had in a while.  The rooms are a good size with flat screen TVs, super fast internet.  The exercise room is on the first floor with nice equipment and free weights.  Overall very happy with this hotel and would recommend it

Visited South Beach Miami 2 weeks ago and stayed at the Courtyard Cadillac for one night. This is not your typical Courtyard, as it does have the SoBe flair to it. When I walked in the lobby Thurs eve, there was a DJ spinning tunes, felt like this would turn into a nightclub!

Location, location, location! Backing up to beach with direct access & facing Collins Ave. Does this justify the $350 a night stay? No but apparently these are the norm prices, and they go up from there. Mind you I paid with points as I have never paid more than $120 -$180 for any other courtyard around the U.S.

The hotel has a nice size pool & out the back to the board walk. I enjoyed a jog next morning among hundreds of other joggers. You can re-enter through the same gate using your room key.

I received a written letter telling me 11 am is a must leave time or ELSE I would be charged another night. Stayed 18 nights last year at Marriott hotels around the U.S. Not necessary Courtyard Cadillac Management, thanks for your hospitality.

We got an amazing deal for this hotel on Priceline.com otherwise we wouldn't have been able to afford this place.  The only negative about this place is their valet parking is $35.  That's too rich for my blood.  If you didn't drive or if you have the patience to look for street parking like we did then this doesn't concern you.  This hotel is connected to Carrabba's Itialian Grill (see my review for Carrabba's) so you don't have to leave the hotel to get a bite to eat.  We arrived at night and happy hour was until midnight which was AWESOME!  My husband had two Vodka and Cranberry's for $9.00. Sweet, right?!

The decor in the lobby and out back is beautiful at night.  So romantic.  The glow from both pools and the lights on the stairs set the mood just right.  We were there last month and it was pretty windy so we didn't stay out there too long but whether permitting, if you are out there with "the one" somebody is getting lucky that night.

The room was clean and modern.  Flat screen TV was HD.  No renovations needed.  The room had a refrigerator but no microwave.  There was a microwave in the lobby though.  The lobby is huge.  Enough space and sitting to hang if you're in a large group.

We really enjoyed our stay here! Just what the doctor (aka the longest winter ever) ordered. Arrived right around check-in on a Wednesday, and from then until our check-out on Saturday we had a lovely time. Anywhere you want to go is a short cab ride away, so you can enjoy both the quiet of the beach and the lively nightlife of Miami!

Food-wise, the breakfast buffet and the Carraba's tiki hut get the job done -- nothing special. Happy hour specials to be had at both the lobby and tiki bars so check them out!

I worked for marriott for many years,so I am a tough critic in this industry.

This hotel is not bad, for a courtyard.

Service was good. Everyone was friendly and polite. However, obtaining my car from the valet staff, took a while, despite me being the only person waiting. Valet staff  wasn't that friendly, but I am asking hey are subcontracted.

Only stayed for one night, didn't have time to walk the hotel much. Room was clean and organized, it did however have that "old south beach hotel smell".

They've done a good job at renovating the lobby and indoor restaurant. Pool can use restructure and more modern flooring, didn't say much.

-Great access to beach area.

-Rental of chairs

-Outdoor restaurant seemed to have a good menu going, there were many people eating.

Good experience for someone who wants to spend most of their time at the beach.

Stayed here for three nights as we were in Miami for a destination wedding. Specified that we wanted an ocean view room so booked in the new tower - if you want to see the ocean be sure to specify that tower, pretty sure that you will only guarantee those rooms if you book through Marriott.
Checked in early - guy at the front desk was super nice - room was not ready, but he took our bags and showed us where to relax in the shade until it was. He was very funny, had a nice chat and he went out of his way to hurry the room along.
Rooms are really nice (I can only speak to the new tower), spacious, HUGE bathroom, mini fridge and a nice balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Beds and pillows were really comfy - a/c top notch - we slept like rocks.
The lobby has a Starbucks (open till 3pm), nice bar - there is a breakfast buffet but we did not try it. Gym is pretty good - clean and has good equipment.
There are two pools - larger one where kids can be and then the adult infinity pool. Nice chairs, ice cold water at the towel station, a small bar where you can order food (they will also come around and ask you if you want anything and bring it to you). People at the pool are super nice. It was hot, they came around with free ice pops a couple of times.
There is also a tiki bar with plenty of seating for food. Prices are decent, food is provided by Carrabbas Grill - we had salads a couple of days and they were nice and fresh and tasty.
Beach is beautiful - umbrellas and chairs for a fee, set up by the attendant. The pool can get pretty loud and the ocean is gorgeous so it's worth the rental fee if you are going for a number of hours.
Overall I would absolutely stay here again.
We did not bring a car, the valet line seemed awfully long so we were glad we Uber'd all over (Uber from FLL was about $40 and all the other rides were under $10 and we never had an issue getting a car). Parking at the hotel was $35 a day.
There is a Walgreens that has pretty much everything right around the corner.
We had free wi-fi - not sure if it is free for everyone or because of our Marriott Reward level. It was super fast. Lots of television stations to choose from.
There is a great walking/running boardwalk right along the beach.
Rooms were promptly cleaned in the morning which was a plus.
My only complaint was they had a private party on Sunday at the adult pool so the regular pool was pretty crowded and the party played really loud music for several hours. Felt like they should have given free beach chairs at that point.
