My kind of place.  In the Art Deco district, this hotel has the old glamor style on the outside and the modern interior.  One block from the beach and between two and three blocks from a wide variety of bars clubs and....oh yeah, restaurants.  The only downside is no parking.  You have to pay somewhere around $20 a day for valet parking.  Would I stay here again?  Definitely.

We really liked the hotel, it was close to everything we wanted to do. We got a great deal through priceline (in November) so the location and value made up for some of what it lacked...no real storage for your cloths, there was a bed in the corner of the room that just seemed like it didn't belong, making the room feel small. The bathroom was modern but again, no place to put your tolitries in the shower or near the sink. Also, the room seemed a little 'un-clean' but again the value and location were well worth it.

amazing value for the price.  we got this hotel through hotwire for a wednesday night in july, and paid about $60 or $70.  parking (valet with in/out privileges) was $25/day.

the outside of the hotel looks like an old downtown apartment building; definitely in need of a makeover...but on the other hand, it does give the building some character.  the lobby was small but felt more spacious than it looked because of the floor to ceiling windows that looked out onto the patio deck fronting collins, the side garden/spa area and the back of the lobby flowed into a bar/lounge.

service was nice and friendly.  the hallway corridors are a bit too dark and it does feel a bit seedy as you walk down the hallway.  however, the rooms are light and airy, albeit small.  the room was very modern with white tiles, carpet and furniture, and was equippped with most amenities you would need, including tv, stereo, hairdryer, etc.

the location of this hotel is great, as it was within walking distance of restaurants, bars, clubs and shopping.  i would definitely recommend this place, and would not hesitate to go back again.

Great little boutique hotel in South Beach. We got a really good rate through priceline and coming from the sh*thole known as The President it was definitely a welcome change. The staff was very polite and helped us with everything we needed and the rooms were nice. The walls could definitely use a coat of paint and maybe some new carpet but all in all it seemed very clean. We enjoyed our stay here very much and will look here next time we are in SoBe!

Also the hotel bar is nice, though a little over priced. At night they had a DJ set up outside spinning tunes.

this goes down in the record books of truly abysmal hotel experiences. i call hotel to speak with matthew cohoneur the gm, who refused to spell his last name for me, poor interpersonal skills, buddy. this could have been circumvented but you chose to allow your pride to get the best and didn't put your business first. i will do just as i said and find every review website and post my experience and these photos on every single one and do so periodically so it shows up fresh. i am itching like crazy my girlfriend had to go to the doctor, she now has three over the counter medications she has to take. these are not your run of the mill rashes either, this is the most irritating itch i have ever encountered needless to say i also got sick. i can not conclusively say that i got sick because of my stay there but the rashes without a shadow of a doubt we traced it back to either the dirty sheets or towels. we never sleep without shirts on and after a long day at the pool we fell asleep in our swim gear. the rashes are on the lower back love handle part of the torso on both of us. mine bottom left hers bottom right. just horrible experience and no help or assistance from the gm matthew. i work throughout the day and don't have time to deal with stuff like this, matthew was receptive at first but became rigid, unyielding and even mad at me. your not the one with a rash spanning half a foot down your back! not behavior you would expect from a manager. i am going to save as many people as possible from having to suffer such an experience. do not stay at rash hotel there are plenty of other places that you could stay at that adhere to the most basic standards that the florida department of business and professional regulation has in place to protect the most basic needs when staying at a hotel.

Cheap - got last minute deal on bookit.com
Close to Beach, Shops, and Restaurants.
Let us rent chairs for FREE so we can go to the beach.
    Friendly front desk.
Room was clean and bathroom was soo nice!
Paid $30 for open bar, limo to club, and bottle service at club. (it was kinda like a concierge service in front of the hotel)
Kept our bags on the last day while we walked around.

The "free" continental breakfast  was a joke.  It was cereal and milk.
Room - smmmalllll, but doable, but SMALL!
Pool - kinda gross and super small
    Gym - nonexistent
Housekeeping would come everyday in the middle of the day shut our blinds and turn on the radio....it was just weird.
Bad wifi, but they had a cable to connect computer directly.
No parking for cars. Only valet.

I would stay again because it was cheap, clean and close to everything. buttt im not dying to go there again.

We gave it 3 stars, because we weren't informed of the things you will need to truly enjoy this place.

Hotel Nash puts you smack dab in the middle of Miami's South Beach, but makes it affordable by taking out the little touches you would expect from most hotels.  You can easily make up for it by bringing the items listed below.

Lets start with their location.  In the middle of South Beach, but a block away from the ocean.  Close enough to walk, but the view is lousy without a really good pair of x-ray specs to see through buildings.

Next, there is no parking.  You can have them valet your car for $25 a night ($5 over the cost of using a city garage a few blocks away).  If you don't expect to do any driving, and will be here for a week, then you would save money by hiring a limo.  Both ways.

When we arrived, it was before normal check-in time.  The girl at the desk was friendly and polite, but roomless.  The lobby is pretty big and empty, so to entertain ourselves for an hour we checked our bags with the hotel and took a walk.  You may want to just set up a tent in the airy lobby.

The room itself seemed fairly large (by South Beach standards), but at night we figured out why.  There is no nightstand on one side of the queen bed.  So as I got ready for bed, I dropped my watch, cell phone, loose change, wallet, and a glass of water onto the floor.  If your cell phone doesn't like to have water dropped on it, bring a night stand.

The bathroom looked kinda cool, but there was no tub, just a shower.  If you like to take a relaxing soak, bring a kiddie pool.  It should fit in the spacious shower.

Hotel Nash also doesn't have a real pool.  they do have 3 "tres itime" pools, which I think is French for tiny fishponds without fish.  They say you can use the pool at their sister hotel 3 1/2 blocks away, but that's more walking than I want to do in swim fins, and the ocean in only 2 blocks away.  And the ocean has fish.  Luckily, you brought your kiddie pool.

So if you happen to vacation with x-ray specs, a limo, a tent, a nightstand, and a kiddie pool, Hotel Nash will earn 4 stars.  We don't, so they get 3.

HAHA!! This place is a JOKE!! The standard queen room was the size of my closet. I am not kidding! As soon as you walk in, all you can do is PIVOT! Hahaha, I am STILL laughing because you can only be in this room comfortably if you have zero luggages.

No, I lied. You will still be uncomfortable because you will meet the SQUEAKIEST bed in your life. Every movement comes with a squeak! Oh, and the LOUDEST A/C! Hahaha, it sounded like I was sleeping in a refrigerator.

I'm sorry, I had to upgrade to the deluxe queen room. It was pretty much the same sh*t, but I no longer had to pivot. Still got stuck with a squeaky bed and loud A/C.

I gave it 2 stars for location (2 short blocks away from the beach) and an extra star for Maria at the front desk, which was not even a real front desk... Just a small podium.

I got a good deal for this hotel on Expedia. The hotel was definitely not a 4-star hotel like Expedia said, but it was conveniently located, clean, and pretty cozy. (Front Desk was pretty accommodating and friendly.)

We were assigned to a delux room (whatever that means..) located on the 3rd floor facing the adjacent building. The room didn't offer much of view, but I didn't mind it. I enjoyed the free Internet, a big screen TV, and beach chair & towel service (included in the resort fee).

If your room is facing the street, you should expect to hear a lot of street noise. I was startled a couple of times in my sleep by screeching noise and sirens, but I guess that's Miami...

Stayed at the Hotel Nash for two nights and didn't mind my stay. The bedroom was clean upon arrival and the bathroom was really cool. They have a big shower with a half glass surrounding. The tv was a normal sized flat screen and we had a view of the pool area in the back.

My only real issue with the room was the bed seemed to have a snapped beam in the middle, which kind of made my girlfriend and I slide towards the middle of the bed.

The location of Hotel Nash was perfect. Basically next door was David's Cafe, a 24 hr great cuban food spot. The Clevelander was down the street for a nice night club. The beach was only two blocks away as well.

The price of the hotel was about average among all the boutique hotels on Collins as well, it was about $340 for two nights. If you have a car, the parking garage a little down the street is about $5 cheaper each day, instead of parking with Hotel Nash for $29 a night.

Nevertheless, I would stay at Hotel Nash again if given the chance.

Bad. Just bad. Stopped by for a mimosa during a morning bike ride. Despite no other people there, still took about 15 minutes for our drinks. Then found lipstick on both our glasses. Brought it to the attention of the server. Seem annoyed. Decided to head out. Still charged us for them and added a 19% gratuity for himself. As I said...bad. Just bad.

Don't be fooled by the photos on line! The room I stayed in is more like a college dorm room kand a crash only pad. The room is by the pool and the drains backed up and I had to wade to my room, a dingy would had come in handy! The room has barrack style beds, where the mattress hangs of the wood box frame, the toilet barely flushes and the water runs after every flush. It July in Miami and no air conditioning? The air blowing is warm moist and not refreshing at all! The front desk staff are friendly and willing to move us after we complained!

OPEN - First let me dispel the rumors that the NASH is closed (According to YELP anyway). Apparently, the NASH was known as LORDS which was a hotel that catered to the gay lifestyle. I've heard it referred to as a GAY resort. Apparently, one of the previous partners of LORDS retired, and the remaining partners have re-branded the hotel as "The Hotel Nash" which is NOT gay. So the NASH is open and it's no longer known as LORDS and it's "heterosexual-friendly".

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - This hotel is smack dab in the middle of South Beach. Located on Colins Ave between 11th and 12th it's within walking distance to practically EVERYTHING.

SETTING - The rooms are CLEAN and QUAINT. The hotel has a very funky style to it with bright yellows that make for a visually stunning experience. There is a bar on premises, as well as patio dining. The pool area has a private feel to it as it's in a courtyard-esque secluded area. There are three small square pools for soaking. The middle pool heats up jacuzzi style. There's a sitting area towards the back as well in the event you want to dine on your own food and drink. There's also a small rooftop deck area if you require more sun. (I'm actually surprised they invest the small amount of money to fix it up with some nice outdoor furniture to make it an outdoor lounge area. It would be perfect for laying out as the pool area is sometimes sunless due to the surrounding buildings)

TIP - Directly across the street from the NASH is Skybar. Skybar is a roof top bar which is probably South Beach's best kept secret. Definitely stop up for a drink and pencil in some time to lay on the white lounge couches as the DJ spins some trip hop poolside. This bar is on top of the hotel Tudor. You can access it via the elevator. It's very south beach!

STAFF - The Staff was aces...they were very friendly and polite. They stored our luggage for us as we arrived early so that we could hit the beach. They are very professional, which isn't always the case in South Beach.

I would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay, especially if you're looking for something affordable in the center of the action.

ONE CON - It's not really a "con" per se, but the VALET service is about a half block away on 12th and they "Take their time" getting your car as there seems to be some lack of efficiency in the communication between the guys running Atlantic Parking. So call ahead about 30 minutes before you need your car so they can get it to you in time.

This place is wonderful.. And let me point out the location is great, pretty close to everything on washington, Collins, and ocean.. You really don't have to walk too too far. The rooms are so cute and very Art Deco (well this is the Art Deco district!!) . It's also a good value for it being south beach .. You go 1 block over to ocean dr and you'll be paying double. The place is super clean and the staff are always willing and eager to help. The only downside is all the construction the city is doing on Collins ave , I guess trying to make it nicer now (South beach/Miami area is an old town and looked like a pre-1950s Cuba ). There aren't really any restaurants in this hotel which is fine because I've been picking a different one every day to eat at here at South beach. The staff will also tell you what's good to eat. Oh yeah, the hotel has a pool (it small but good for dipping if you wanna relax) and they do have supply a small continental breakfast every morning, it's really nothing special about their breakfast but they try and it's really cute . They don't have room service, which didn't phase me because there's so many places to eat within walking distance. I don't think they even have a real kitchen inside this hotel... It is a small boutique hotel. But for the price, clean room, and friendly staff (which is all I needed!), I will def be back ! Love this place!

My stay was just over a month ago...

When walking into the NASH hotel, it seemed nice. We were given the queen terrace suite, which upon walking in was really nice. The room was spacious and the balcony was big. The room was hot and stuffy, but I thought that may be typical for Miami? Well when going to turn on the air, close to the bed, I glanced at the bed and noticed a a dead bug on the head board. I was a bit grossed out, but thought maybe it was just one case. We went out to dinner, and when we came back, I looked back at the bed and there were bugs crawling all over it. Upon closer inspection, these bugs had wings that were falling off of them and staying on the bed and pillows. When looking around the room for where they could be coming from, I looked on the floor....they were everywhere. There were a mix of live and dead ones, but they were all coming from inside of the carpet. It was disgusting and the thought of staying there was repulsive. We immediately contacted the front desk and they came up and tried to spray, but still we were not going to stay. We ended up going to a larger hotel near by where we had a beautiful stay with a lot more amenities. Luckily, the NASH refunded the money, but it took a few calls to get it done. It's sad because this could be a cute place to stay--IF, and only if, there were some major renovations. It's just run down and time for a makeover.

Fun little place! The staff really made our trip special. They were fast, efficient, and helpful! Big thanks to John at the desk. Loved the location. We were close to the restaurants and the beach. We could walk everywhere. My sister and I came down to catch a baseball game at the stadium and  cab ride was quick and not too expensive. Would stay there again!!!

This hotel is amazing for the price! It is within walking distance of great restaurants and clubs as well as the beach!  The staff was incredibly nice and helpful offering directions and recommendations.  The valet parking at ~$32 is incredibly worth it especially when it's raining! Staff took our bags right to the room for us while checking in. Our smoke detector was chirping and it was fixed within 15 minutes! I can't even get my fiancé to do that. . . Seriously, we will stay here again when we inevitably come back to South Beach. Nice job Hotel Nash!

I went for a week and had a great time.  The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.  The location is perfect, and I did not have a single issue.

Also be aware that the cab fare should be $32 from and to the airport.  I got screwed on my way to the hotel.

My husband chose the Nash because of the first review he saw on Trip Advisor, but I imagine they probably put the positive ones first.  First, we couldn't figure out how to pull into the hotel, as there was no parking lot, and things went downhill from there. We had to leave the car in the middle of the busy traffic on Collins to go into the hotel.  The woman at the front desk said we had to unload from the street and the valets would park the car, for which we'd be charged $32/day.  It wasn't construction that kept one reviewer from parking, this place doesn't actually have one.

As we checked in, the clerk charged us ahead for the entire stay, which I thought was strange.  Then, when I reminded her about getting a room with a bathtub, she solemnly said none of the rooms had bathtubs, although my husband had been assured they did.  She said they had a jacuzzi I could use instead, however.  I always request a tub because of my chronic back pain.  She insisted on calling the porter, although we said we didn't need one.  The porter accompanied us to the room, so we felt obligated to tip him anyway.

When we got to the room, it smelled strongly of cleaning fluid and there was a huge dark stain on the rug on one side of the bed, like the outline of a body in a crime scene, and on the other side there was something ground in, like tar or gum.  My husband thought it was a burn hole.  We did have a bathtub, however, but when we asked for another room, one that didn't reek or have a stained rug, we were told, again, there weren't any other rooms with baths.  Having had enough by that time, I wanted to leave, but was told we could only get a refund of the "resort fee" because of their 72 hour cancellation policy.  Now I realized why they charged us ahead for our stay.  Since we were only there for 3 days, we were stuck.

Later on that night I found out there wasn't enough hot water for a bath--it ran out after about 3" worth of water.  When we told the manager about the stain and the hot water the following morning, he apologized, said the property was going to be renovated, that this was the oldest property he'd ever managed, etc. and he promised to fix it.  When we came back to the room, the big stain was gone, not the ground in gunk on the other side, and there was still no hot water.  I checked out the jacuzzi and it turned out to be just a small swimming pool with tiny jets, like a pool sweep.  It wasn't very hot either, continually in the shade because of the surrounding buildings, so I never did get my bath.

And so it went for the next 3 days: the bed squealed every time either of us turned over, they ran out of muffins at breakfast the next morning, and so on. When I asked about it, the woman standing behind the bar smiled and said, "No more muffins" and took the plate away.  If the property was going to be renovated, maybe they should have either rented them out at a steeper discount or shouldn't have rented them at all.

I saw some reviewers didn't seem to mind the filthy rugs and squeaking bed, but it certainly wasn't worth nearly $200/night.  Or they had an entirely different experience--maybe it's just a crapshoot.  Nonetheless, the hidden valet charge wasn't advertised, the front desk didn't actually know whether the rooms had bathtubs or not, and they unapologetically didn't have enough food for breakfast.  Finally, when the room was clearly not satisfactory, they refused to refund our money, which was the last straw.  The Nash is near the beach and on the main drag, but I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone.  It shouldn't be a matter of chance as to what kind of service and quality of room one gets in a well-run hotel.

We had an AMAZING time at Hotel Nash!

    - Started with an upgrade to the Penthouse Suite on the house! (we did have 15 girls staying there)

    - I have a gluten allergy and one night the concierge helped me for an hour to find delivery that met my dietary needs (and it was laaate in the night - that man is an saint to put up with me while also being so nice and diligent the whole time!)

    - The food is SO GOOD at the hotel, and I've stayed at well over 150+ hotels for work throughout the past 2 yrs, so truly this was a perfect poolside/lunch menu (got the fish wrap, with lettuce instead of wrap, i ate it 3 times and I am craving it now - fresh fish too!) so if you do have special dietary needs know they are very accommodating (also full spread of food on-the-house for breakfast)

    - Rooms are boutique style so they are all different sizes with modern deco accents and very comfy, clean beds! Super important! They have great shampoo/conditioner as well, and I have A LOT of hair, so if you're a girl don't stress if you don't want to bring your own stuff

    - The hotel manager is a true gentlemen and was excellent at finding ways to exceed guest expectations. He gave us a full tour with room options, arranged car service when needed and took the time to understand us as group so that he could give us the best recommendations on what to do during our stay (which even caused us to change plans one night resulting in us having our best night out in Miami!!!).

    - Overall, the staff was eager to help and genuinely kind. We looked forward to seeing each employee when we walked around the grounds throughout the day and, as a group of girls, we felt very safe coming in at 4am every night!

You could feel how excited everyone was to host us and how much they wanted us to have a good time! THE BEST customer service I have ever had.

Then....there was BENNY! The best bartender/weekend friend us girls could as for! You can't miss out on having a drink at the glitzy, gold bar with this man! He is that kind of person that makes you excited to be there as soon as you start chatting with him (when I met him at check in I was already anxious to go throw my bags in the room so I could go back to see him!). You can't help but feel good at this bar! The ambiance is very alluring but Benny makes it a cool place to want to hang out for the afternoon and enjoy the sun! Makes the BEST mixed drinks, I told him to just surprise me most of the time and he never failed to make me happy :) LOVE this man!

I will absolutely be at the Hotel Nash again, and not just for the accommodations and treatment, but I must hang out with Benny again too!

To those reading as a potential guest, BOOK! and to those reading from Hotel Nash, we all sincerely thank you for our stay and for making this moment for our brides that much more memorable!!

    Love Stephanie

I stayed here mid June with a friend. It was my first time in Miami and choosing Hotel Nash was a great decision. EVERY employee was kind and hospitable. Benny especially made our trip even better! He was awesome and made great mojitos. Most importantly this hotel was CLEAN!!

Overall our trip to Miami was amazing and I can't wait to return. Most definitely will be staying here for future visits.

It is upsetting to see some of the negative reviews. This hotel was perfect for the price, location and service provided. I can assure you won't be disappointed by choosing Hotel Nash. They truly understand how to make their guests feel comfortable and special!

    Thanks for a great trip!

I stayed at Hotel Nash with 3 girlfriends for one night this past weekend.
    The pros:
    Good, central location for SoBe
SOME front desk personnel were friendly and happy to help us with taking photos and holding luggage after checkout
    Pretty clean
Not that this is the hotel's fault, but there is construction on the street for blocks in either direction. We couldn't even pull our car up to the front of the hotel to unload our luggage because of the construction. Where there was a tiny space to pull in , there was a hole and for fear of ruining a tire we didn't pull up. So, we had to park 4 blocks away in a garage and haul our bags to the hotel through all the construction. This was a huge headache.
Beds were quite uncomfortable and lumpy. I got the feeling they were pretty old.
The hotel worked for our purpose.

This hotel is very cute the staffs are, "Amazing". I normally stayed at the Satai and the Mondrian this is not those hotel but this staffs at Nash are not only friendly but extremely accommodating and so so welcoming. They welcomed guest with open arms, smile, and make you feel right at home.
I really did appreciate their accommodation. I booked last minutes at 3 am to check in at 5 pm but they let me check in at around 4 am, 12 hours earlier than the check in time. My flight got delayed for 8 hours when landed I needed a place and Nash opened their door to me....:) the room is so cute (yellow white and blue) clean. And the beach is just across the street. I'm still here and will enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi too :)

We got the cyber Monday deal so the room was $250/night. I would probably look elsewhere if we had to pay more though.
It's got a hot tub and two small pools and is located in a great area. Tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Was with a big group of people and they messed up one of our room reservations giving us one bed and a pull out couch when we requested two beds but I was escaping the freezing cold in NYC so I didn't even really care. Plus they gave us some drink vouchers because of it.

Everyone is pretty laid back there and it's got a nice vibe going on.

they don't like you bringing outside booze to the pool area (we got yelled at)

I stayed here for my 21st birthday and I had a great time. It was in walking distance of just about everything and the room was really really pretty. They seem to be renovating and toning the place down a bit. There are still amazing pops of yellow but less of the wild pictures you see online.

The staff was incredible and even gave us towels to take to the beach! I would definitely stay here again, but it has a different name now, so I'm wondering if the management is the same? Anywho, I had a great time and discovered my love of Apple jelly each morning at breakfast.

The only complaint I would have is that the rooms don't have mini fridges.
