This place is a bit of a dump and the staff are idiots!  We asked for a quiet room and were placed outside the courtyard were constructiuon started at 7:15 am!  The air conditionair was broken also.  We had to leave and move to another hotel after one night.
The manager eventually refunded 1/2 which was okay....but I would recommend going elsewhere.

this place sucked.
it was 240$ a night because it was spring break but i found out once i got there that places like townhouse were only 300$ a night and let me tell you, it would have been well worth it to shell out an extra couple bucks for a nicer hotel.

first of all, i saw a cockroach in the lobby.

the elevator is so ill and death-trap like that my boyfriend and i took he stairs everytime.

the air conditioner in our room didnt work.

no mini bar.

no room service (even to get  fork!)

no curtains-it got so bright that i woke up at 6 am everymorning! UGH!

then to top it all off, they charged me 400$ for a night that i DIDNT EVEN STAY THERE! also 400$ for a night in that dump would have been so ridiculous. when i went back to ask about the charge, they guy was like "oops... i dont know. i cant refund you, you ha e to call back when the manager is here" which already peeved me. then to top it off, the manager was super rude when i called the next day, not apologetic at all and only refunded me about 40% of the 400 $$$!

i HIGHLY recommend going to a different place. the location was ok, but i found myself having to walk all the way down to where the nicer hotels were all the time to go to the parties i needed to go to.

when i made the reservation, i asked the guy on the phone how far away the hotel was from rokbar and he said 2 blocks. biggest load of cr$p ever, it was like 15 blocks away.
No on Kent.

The Kent to the untrained eye was very charming. Our room was decent until it was time to go to sleep. Me and the bf only went to this place because he was in Miami on business. We dropped our bags in the room and hit the beach. When we came back to our room late that night is when we realized we had made a huge mistake. Our bathroom reeked of piss. It was really bad too. Apparently they don't clean the rooms in between guests. When we notified management of this they told us the maintenance crew was gone for the night and since they were all booked we couldn't be moved to another room. We tried to open the window,  but it was a super old window and it had been painted shut. The air conditioner blew out warm air. The bed was harder than chinese arithmetic. The air quality in our room was bad. It was really dusty and moldy and plain unclean. I have chronic asthma so after sleeping a total of 1 hr (because I tossed and turned all nite)in this place, I awoke to a bad asthma attack bringing my fun time in Miami to an end. I have the Kent and their staff to thank for that. A message to Kent and their staff- You have a severe mold problem says my sinuses.....

Rooms and bathroom are huge which is a big plus in South Beach, the location is perfect. We didn't notice a lot of noise definitely a great place to stay for the weekend. No pool and no bar in the hotel...

This is a pet friendly, clean and affordable hotel that allows large dogs (no weight restrictions) which is nearly impossible to find on South Beach.  Great amenities for the price: mini fridge, wifi, flat screen tv, dvd player, cd player w/ cd's, full bath, cool decor i.e. bold-bright-fun, and cafe.

Yes, the location is great *and* there's a 24hr parking lot w/ attendant next door.  The Kent's psychedlic garden w/ bar is off-beat and a little bizarre,  though contributes to the overall unique and fun atmosphere. Book direct through their website and get a lower rate.

There are certain aspects about this hotel that stand out:

- the location is killer :)

- the walls and bedsheets were funk-a-delically lavender and the lobby had a very 'mod' chair setup (style, as well as bright & bold colors)

- the TV was a flatscreen, plus there was a DVD player and a small stereo in the room (as well as a mini-fridge!)

- the elevator was something all on its own (it opened through a small door that you would never have guessed opened up to an elevator)

- there was a computer with internet access in the lobby for public use

A few complaints:

- the water pressure was a bit low when taking a shower

- the toilet paper was a bit thin

- the trees in the 'ACID JUNGLE LOUNGE' blocked our window and didn't allow much light to get in, so our room always seemed just a TAD darker than it probably should have been

Overall, I had a good stay. I'd say this place is a bit above average. And it wasn't overly expensive. Of course, there are nicer hotels in South Beach, but whatever. They'll all cost you an arm and a leg and offer you comparable amenities. Might as well just stay here and save a pretty penny. WOOT!

Truly an amazing location.  The room (317) was clean, modern, and cute.  I have zero complaints.  For what we paid, it was well worth it.  When we go back to South Beach, we are coming back here.  There was nothing dirty or unsanitary.  Maybe the elevator was a bit dodgy but that's all.

HAHAHA...Great memories at this place.

The colors we're very vibrant. The patio was tacky. The rooms we're small and the bathroom was even smaller.

Two beds to a room unless you get the suite. Staff was ok...nothing to brag about.

The location is great and near a lot of cool places.

When you're staying in South Beach, it really is all about location. That was the #1 criteria I had when booking my stay on Kayak.com . The fact I scored a KILLER deal on the room? It was a win-win.

You aren't paying for luxury at The Kent- you're paying for a pretty sweet place that doesn't cost a fortune that's literally in the heart of everything. Sidenote: about a block down Collins is the gelato shop The Jersey Shore 2 cast was employed over summer. And I had my chocolate dessert scooped by Sammie Sweetheart herself!

Parking lot with the 24hr attendant was $20/day which seemed kinda pricey but I guess that's what you have to fork over when you're staying on prime real estate.

For a hotel in the heart of South Beach, the price is VERY reasonable. Loved it when I stayed there. The room was great with a nice flat screen and awesome bathroom. Beautiful lobby with nice service. In walking distance to the beach, all the shops, and the sights you wanna visit while on Ocean Drive. My only problem was parking. There's a lot next to it but charges high like all parking lots in South Beach. Definitely a great place to stay at if your visiting South Beach!

Save your money or not. Location is not worth the discomfort!
Room was not cleaned, half used shampoo. Finally moved to a different room with no bedside lamp so you had to walk to the door to shut the light! and their well publicized flat screen TV had no remote! double whammy!

the elevator opening up can make you death so be sure not to take it if you have a headache! you will pass out!
I was so happy to check out!

Never again!

Generally my hotel of choice when in SOBE.  This place is no Ritz nor a Courtyard so don't book with high expectations.  Most would be guest stay here because they know in Miami you party, not sleep!

This is just what I was looking for after being pampered for a week at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. NOTHING FANCY!

The Kent has many qualities that I liked.
1. Location, Location, Location
2. CD player in the room
3. Big flat screen tv
4. Purple decor!!
5. Mostly helpful front desk
6. Great price
7. Good water pressure in shower

The Kent had many qualities that I disliked.
1. Room reeked of URINE if you turned the air conditioner on. (We kept it off.)
2. Small bathroom (all old hotels have them)
3. Low quality painting/maintenance/upkeep (tacky)
4. Questionable looking maids (we refused cleaning service)
5. Poor window seal made for noisy, sleepless nights and mornings

I can definitely see myself staying here again, but not before I look for another option with similar location and price.

I'm a fan!!! We did a girls trip last summer to Miami and found this place online. It was very affordable, clean and within walking distance to everything. The hotel has an art-deco/mod decor and I thought that was really cute. That's all I could really remember because we were hardly in the rooms but it was nice and I will use them again

Conveniently located and staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was affordable.  However, we stayed there three nights and not once did the housekeeping clean our room.  One staff member said they would do it while we were gone only to return to an uncleaned room.  The walls are very thin and we could hear everything our neighbors were doing and vice-versa. Oh and the WiFi did not work!!

The water pressure was just enough to get that pesky south beach sand off of my body.

Location is great. 1 block from the beach and nightlife. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Doorman was great.

The room was very dirty. Some appliances were covered in dust. The refrigerator was faulty and had a loud noise emitting from it. It was an easy fix, i just unplugged it. The A/C gave out stale air. It was very unpleasant to be in the room. The bathroom was not cleaned well. There were ants around the sink. Finally the shower did not work. There seems to be a checklist of faulty items which should have been fixed.

I do not leave reviews but felt compelled to do so. I am at lost how different rooms pictured are compared to the conditions I had. Everything was old, faulty, dirty and dated.

This place has been great. Good location. Affordable. Nice decor. Rooms are normal size, nothing to complain about. Rooms were clean. Bed comfortable with lots of pillows. Nice thick towels in the bathroom. The location is great. Very central to all parts of South Beach.

The concierge at the front desk was also great. He got us into two restaurants that would otherwise have been difficult to get into on such short notice.

I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Miami Beach.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!!!! I stayed here this past fourth of July with my two best friends! Amazing experience. This hotel is literally located in walking distance of everything that makes Miami Beach MIAMI BEACH!!! It is very affordable. Our room was beautiful, a nice size. The queen size bed did appear to be a double in person, but it was a minor thing to complain about. The bathroom was gorgeous mirrors everywhere which really helped when getting ready to go out at night. Only thing about the room to complain about was the lighting. Its very dim, however after the 2nd day we were well adjusted. The hotel staff was great! Very professional and friendly. They answered all of our questions and made sure that we were enjoying our visit. They do not have continental breakfast, but there is a nice restaurant attached to the place that serves a buffet breakfast for about $10. Very tasty might I add. I would definitely stay here again. I am so glad I decided to stay here. My friends also loved it. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay on South Beach or any first timers. You wont regret it!!!!!!!

Well.....this wasn't exactly the boutique hotel experience I was anticipating, but then again it is South Beach and the price was a bargain.  The location is definitely the best thing about this hotel; it's a few blocks near to everything, including the beach, shopping, a slew of restaurants and the nightlife.  The room was basic, a good size and seemed clean.  The front desk guy was not really a hotel service industry prototype.....seems this surely is his side job, if you catch my drift.  There was constant work going on during our stay, painting the walls and maintenance of various sorts, so the corridors were quite noisy, crowded, and smelled....of paint and something else not quite identifiable.  In summary: if price and location are your main concerns (as were mine) this is a solid "3 star" choice.  If you're looking for a place to impress your date with things like ambience, a polished hotel staff and other such niceties, there are better choices down the block.

on a spontaneous trip to south beach, the kent hotel was a nice little find...affordable, clean, and convenient.  while not beach front, it was as close to beach front as needed.  and with beach towels being handed out at the front desk, all you need is your sunblock and board shorts and you're ready to enjoy the sand.

i will say, if there are negatives, the rooms are very blah.  but you don't really go to south beach to stay in the room, so no big deal.  the shower heads are low that i kept bumping into them, and the water pressure was essentially non-existent.

but for short notice, the kent is good enough to put your head down for the night.

Kent Hotel is the best value for SoBe.  I must say that I was pretty impressed!  Here's why I loved the hotel:

1) The location can't be beat (Collins in between 11th & 12th)
2) Rates were only $135/night ($151 after taxes & fees)
3) Clean room and bathroom
4) Modern room design with lots of amenities like a safe, flat screen TV, ipod compatible stereo, a small fridge and small microwave
5) Huge rooms for SoBe (granted we got a free upgrade to a Deluxe King bed suite but still, gotta love free upgrades)
6) Beds were ridiculously comfortable and the sheets was so soft like they used the highest Egyptian cotton thread count - better that MOST hotels I have stayed at (includes higher end chains like Marriott & Hilton)
7) Lots of power outlets all over the room for charging our phones, camera batts, etc. - no having to crawl under/squeeze our hands behind furniture just to get to the sole power outlet
8) Quiet - no crazy SoBe shenanigans here

Since the rates are so competitive, good thing I booked this hotel months ahead of our travel date as it sold out more than two months before.

The not so good includes the front desk people who were a little off (but not rude).  Melanie V had checked in first and added my name as an authorized guest but the note was nowhere to  be found when I arrived at 7am so he had to call her and wake her up at quite an ungodly hour after a night of partying to verify I could get a key.  Also, they would never greet the guests when they passed by but whatever.  If you have a later flight in the day, just so you know, we couldn't get a late check out on a Sunday ... maybe it is just too popular they were fully booked on a Sunday night.

I'll definitely be back to stay here!

I stayed here for 2 nights over NYE 2013.

In my opinion, the Kent is the definition of a solid boutique hotel find. None of the over-the-top stuff you don't have to have but all of the basics at a fair (not high or low) price. The up keep is great as the reinvestment shows (flat screen TVs, modern fixtures and furniture, etc).

The experience didn't completely go off without a hitch as there were some mix ups upon check-in but the staff was very courteous and accommodating, especially the desk agent, Joel.

Location was great as it was right in Miami Beach just a short walk from the sand and parking, although it takes a while to get the car in and out.

I would certainly stay again on my next visit.

I stayed at the Kent Hotel during Memorial weekend aka Urban Beach Week.  I booked a room two weeks in advance through Orbitz.  The location is absolutely perfect!!  Behind the hotel is the beach and by the front is the nightlife and great eateries!  All easy, walking distance.

Anyway, when I checked in, the front desk agent assigned me on the first floor.  Based on reviews on the web, having a room on the first floor is not ideal because of the noise coming from people going in and out of the hotel, etc.

So I asked if I could change my room to a different floor.  The front desk agent told me that all the rooms were SOLD OUT but he managed to change my room to 322.

The room was located on the top floor and a corner room by the stairway.  The room reminded me of a cute little apartment.  The queen sized bed was kind of smaller than what I'm used to but it was not a problem.  I disliked how the room didn't have a closet but they have a rack with hangers on the wall where you can hang clothes up. I liked how they provided a safe, flat screen tv, DVD player, and a small fridge in the room.

Other than that, the walls were thin.  Without the A/C on, I could hear the people next door. Since we had the A/C on full blast, the noise from next door reduced greatly.

One big complain is that after I took shower, the water would spill out almost all over the bathroom!  Although it is a cute, modern stand up shower but it didn't have like a blockade to prevent the water from coming out!  Problem solved: I placed towels on the ground to reduce the water from flowing out.

Overall, my experience with the Kent Hotel is pretty good even though I didn't spend too much time in the room. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.  The room was always clean throughout my three day stay.  Again, the location was perfect.  I would stay at the Kent again and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an affordable, cozy place to sleep at!

4.75 stars to be exact.

My husband and I took two separate mini-vacations to SoBe this past month and chose The Kent Hotel on both occasions. For the location, value and cleanliness of the Kent, you really can't go wrong.

The Good:
Great location (Near shore and stores. Perfect.)
Comfortable beds
Working air conditioner on both stays
Clean bathrooms and basic amenities
Working flat screen television/DVD players
Free wi-fi
Friendly staff (Props to Melissa!)
Cozy lobby
Well-behaved dogs allowed!

The Meh:
Parking next door is steep. $25 In/Out privileges adds up.
Can be noisy on the weekends, but what do expect? It's SoBe!

Overall, The Kent Hotel is a great hotel for a weekend or midweek getaway. Book through their site for the best deals.

This hotel was disgusting and I was totally uncomfortable during my entire visit.
I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!

When I got to our room I went to use the restroom and there was definitely something on the light switch. I think its safe to assume that it was human feces!
The shower was also filthy-- There was hair all on the shower curtain. Also, one of our sinks in the bathroom did not work!

We got a suite so that we could have two queen size beds but they were definitely full size. The hotel room only had about three lights and two of them were by the door...so it was really dark in our room.

We stayed in Miami for 5days and there were pigeons outside our window every morning around 7am. They were making all kinds of noise and made it impossible for us to sleep.

The elevator reminded me of a small gas chamber and we were told that it would stop if we overloaded it . LOL. I took the stairs during my stay because I didn't have time to get stuck and pass out in that thing.

This place sucks and the only thing that I DID like about that hotel was the black guy who was always there to take our pictures for us when we were on our way out.

We stayed at The Kent Hotel during Labor Day weekend. The hotel was just what we needed. Decent size, safe and fridge in room, clean and comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. I stayed at the Kent Hotel for 5 days with two of my sorority sisters for a fabulous girl's trip. After combing the internet for reviews on hotels, we chose the Kent; albeit very reluctantly. We knew that it was South Beach and the pickings were slim so we booked it with an open mind and hoped for the best. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby looked nice enough and it was nestled in a prime location. The beach was a block away, as was food, shopping, and entertainment. The room was clean and looked exactly like the pictures on the internet. I'll summarize by saying this: the Kent pales in comparison to an established chain like the Marriott, but for the location and the price it really can't be beat. It seemed safe enoughj

Return to the Kent 2012?  Let's get it!

Gone are the lavender walls that I loved so much, but I was happy to see that the Kent looks much sleeker and much more modern.  Luckily for our group ( 3 girls), the amazing front desk attendant upgraded our room to a suite!  Not only was there a HUGE bed, but there was a nice couch and chaise.  (Great space for fitting a bigger group, if needed, ya know?)

Room amenities were great!  There was a HUGE tv (like a guy's dream come true), microwave, fridge, mini table and a fabulous, updated shower!  Oh, and an ABUNDANCE of mirrors.  Like, there was never a time when the three of us were fighting for space by the mirror.  My only problem was that the a/c seemed to not be blasting air that well, but whatevs.

The location is the absolute best!  The proximity to the beach, stores and restaurants is awesome (and a great way to save on ridiculous cab fare!).  We were lucky to get a great rate (thanks Annabelle C.), so book way ahead of time as rooms are hard to come by!

Love the updated look, Kent Hotel!  Catch you next time I'm in Miami!

The only pro is that it's close to the beach and that's about it.

When we arrived the front desk guy was rude and said that check-in wasn't until 4pm, and didn't even offer to hold our bags.

The entire hotel staff is unprofessional to be perfectly honest.

The beach towels that they offer gave my friend a rash. We aren't sure if they wash them. We all went out and bought our own towels.

Save your money, stay at a better hotel.

After doing quite a bit of searching for a cheap hotel along Collins/Sobe - I am actually very happy with the Kent!

The staff was helpful and attentive.  The rooms were small and simple, but clean and with a flat screen tv and iHome alarm.  I didn't notice a lot of noise in the hallway or noise at night and overall, I found it a great room for the price!

I also LOVED the location!  It was smack dab in the middle of everything and easy to walk to everything else.

The only thing that I can possibly complain about is that in the night, the toilet made this strange squealing sound.  I recorded it because it was sooo strange and brought it down to the front desk.  They were understanding and said they'd take 15% off my tab (which, though booked through expedia was much harder to do).  I haven't checked my bill yet, but we'll assume it was done.  Even if it wasn't, they were at least attentive and tried to tackle the actual problem quickly.

The location is great and hotel amenities are fine.I wouldn't recommend Kent based on customer service. They do not pick up the phone. Prior to the visit, I tried reaching out to them with no luck. This hotel is all about the location. One street over and within walking distance to Ocean Dr (Famous South Beach/Restaurants/Bars/Clubs). Also down the street from the Kardashian "DASH" store and around the block from Love and Hate Tattoo "Miami Ink".

As for Hotel itself, it's a mid 1900's building that's been so-called "MODERNIZED".  But everything is still crammed like the elevator, bathroom, and no desk chairs (RM 314).  No extra outlets near the bed headboard to plug phone or tablet in either, SERIOUSLY!  This hotel is pet friendly. I will say that the staff was friendly and helpful, especially the front desk. No parking provided by the hotel so the nearest parking is overnight parking for $25 where you leave your keys with the parking attendant which will move your car to for whatever reason which happened in our case so your personal property is accessible to theft.

All in all it's about location for an awesome price.

Location, price, free wi-fi, soft sheets, A/C.
Hotel isn't right on the beach, but one avenue over. The walk to where all the action is (South Beach strip, the beach, shops and bars / restaurants) is about 1 minute. Paid $95 for the night on a weekend in November, not bad. Nice bedding.

1. Kid at front desk should not be employed in hotel customer service. Thankfully someone much friendlier took his shift over in the afternoons.
2. You may not be able to check in until about 3pm.
3. Your room will stink of cigarettes big time. I thought it was just mine, but spoke to a few other guests and it's the same issue. The rooms themselves are extremely basic, just a bed, TV, DVD player and an empty fridge.
4. Creaky bed.
5. Can be noisy from the action on the street.

Overall: hotel is great if you need a central place to dump your bags and just crash for the night. Don't expect to want to hang out here much, though.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Kent for 3 nights. Our first day they were so absolutely accommodating. We weren't able to check in until 4 PM (we ended up getting a room by 3 PM), but arrived around 11, so they held our bags in a locked closet while we ventured off to eat. When we went back we were able to change in the restroom and head to the beach. By the time we came back our room was ready. It was really very nice because we didn't need to be checked into a room in order to do what we wanted that day.

The service was great and the employees were so pleasant and nice! They changed our sheets everyday, new towels everyday, our room was spotless everyday. We were able to print our tickets at a computer they have just for the guests, free of charge.

I would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at the Kent for 4 nights. It's great for those on a budget. This is a no frills hotel right  in the heart of the South Beach action. 5 minute walk to the beach...and a pretty clean hotel. There is no pool. I'd recommend this hotel to those on a budget who don't want to spend much time in the hotel. Tip: check their website periodically for deals. We got the stay 3 nights, get one free special.

Only one good thing -perfect location. Front desk- unpleasant and unprofessional , stinky room with shower that is not even separated from the toilet, after taking shower -its water all over for good one hour. No chance for early check in- don't even try. We had reservation for this hotel before our cruise and after. I asked if there is any chance that they can put us on the list somewhere for earlier check in or at least try- front desk sad no,which made me cancel reservation and book red south beach hotel. This hotel has lower rating on yelp, but I'm not sure why- I loved it, much better stay than in this one.

If you are looking for location, Kent Hotel is right in the center of everything. My room faced Collins so I was able to open the window and enjoy the people, music and scenery. The room is very simple and chic. Nice comfortable bed and plush towels.  The waterfall shower is nice too. The staff is AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!! Whatever you want/need they got you!

My boyfriend and I subsequently ended up staying at The Kent Hotel, after an awful stay at their sister hotel, 'Colony Hotel', last February (see my review for Colony).  We had such an unpleasant stay, they offered us to come back and stay with their friends and family discount.  I loathed the Colony so much that I said I wouldn't go back, even with the discount. That's when they informed us about their sister hotel, The Kent.  We, on whim, decided to book a three night stay, at the beginning of this month.

We went in blind eyed, and crossed our fingers that it would look nothing like the Colony Hotel.  When we arrived on Saturday, 2/8, we were very pleasantly surprised.  Located on Collins at 11th, it's just a block from the beach.  In my opinion, this is better than staying on Ocean and getting hassled by the hostesses outside all of the hotel restaurants, that try to shove a menu in your face every time you stroll by.   We were greeted by a very friendly, and funny, man. He finished checking in the couple ahead of us and got us settled within minutes.

Our room was AWESOME! It was on the second floor in the front left corner, overlooking the bar & patio restaurant below, and Collins Ave. The room was the perfect size.  It wasn't cramped or tight, like the Colony. We had a huge, very comfortable, king size bed (I now need one this large at home). The windows stretched across the entire front of our room overlooking Collins, and then some continued on the side.  The large closet when you walked in was perfect for getting your suitcases put away and everything hung up, without cluttering the rest of the room.  The bathroom was very clean, and evidently newly remodeled.  The tile, fixtures, and shower all looked brand new.  I am very picky when staying at hotels and showering anywhere but my own house, but I felt very comfortable here, due to the cleanliness.

For people who complain about noise, this wouldn't be a good location for you.  The downstairs patio bar had music bumpin until like, 2AM.  We didn't mind at all and it didn't bother us.  We are in South Beach, for god sake.  If you are looking for rest and relaxation, find another city! We actually went back to our room one day after the beach, and napped from about 7-11pm, before going out, and slept right through the noise.  In the bathroom it was a little louder, but once again didn't bother us at all.  It actually motivated me to get up from my nap and get ready to go out, ha.

We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay at the Kent.  All of the members of the staff that we encountered were friendly and accommodating.  I would absolutely stay here again and/or recommend it to anyone traveling to South Beach.

Arrived on Tuesday around 1:30PM. Lobby was empty and was checked in immediately by José.

I stayed in room 105, a double room, and was pleasantly surprised. The room is very modern and clean. While I wasn't thrilled to be staying on the first floor, I was happy that my room was toward the back of the hotel ie further away from Collins Ave where it can get noisy.

The room is an average size. I wasn't expecting a pent house suite. There's no screens on the windows. Floors are hardwood and clean. Beds are very comfortable. Front desk has complimentary beach towels. Requesting and receiving extra bath towels took no longer than five minutes.

I can tell there's still some renovation being done. Bathroom looks brand new but is missing some things. A vanity would be nice for flat irons, clippers, makeup etc. also, the shower has no place to hang your wash cloth. Only a soap tray. Also, there's no fan for any ventilation. The bathroom is pretty small and the only place with good lighting so don't plan on fixing your hair/makeup with your friends all at once, ladies.

There's no spectacular view from this room but that was fine with me. Get a great view by leaving your hotel and going site seeing. The beach is literally one block behind the hotel. Plenty to do. Right outside of my room was actually a parking lot for beach goers I supposed. If you decide to stay in and open your blinds, all you'll see are people and cars coming in and out of the lot. There was music playing, though very faint, up until 11/11:30PM on a Tuesday night. Didn't bother me any. No music on Wednesday night but you could hear other guests talking in their rooms and in the hallway. Noise stopped before midnight.

There's little to no noise during the day, fortunately. On Thursday evening, unbeknownst to me, a drunk man came and sat outside of my hotel door. The front desk called to ask if one of my friends were locked out. I said no, that everyone was inside the room. Front desk resolved the situation immediately before I left the room. Later on that evening, either the guests above me were doing CrossFit or just having sex. Either way, it was obnoxious and I thought the bed was going to crash through the ceiling. Luckily, I was headed out for the night. When I got back in around 5AM, the hotel and surrounding areas were quiet.

Checked out on Friday at 1PM and had my bags stored away for a couple of hours.

This room offers smoking & non smoking rooms. I requested a non smoking room and it did not smell of any smoke upon arrival. Later on, I could smell smoke and marijuana from the other rooms. It's faint and once again, didn't bother me any.

Overall, I would stay here again and recommend this hotel. You can't beat the price for the location (remember to have 10% taken off if you stay for three nights or longer). It's very modern and clean, walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shopping stores and probably one of the reasons you came to Miami, the beach.

This place was the perfect choice for MMW!

If you're going to sobe for the sole reason of partying then I highly recommend this hotel. It's nothing special but the beds are comfy, the location is perfect, and the hotel staff is chill as fuck. We were pretty loud and partying until the wee hours of the night and nobody bothered us.

The room came with a mini fridge, which was essential for pregaming. They also offer free filtered water and ice in the lobby, which was amazing! We didn't have to buy water during our entire trip.

If you're looking for a relaxing vacation with hotel amenities, then don't stay here lol.

You have to think about what you want out of a hotel before booking one. All we wanted was a decent, clean, semi cheap place to stay in a good location and this place did the trick.

I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a similar situation.

I would highly encourage you to stay somewhere else. I am a regular traveler and I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional treatment and shady financial practices. A little courtesy goes a long way in smoothing over errors. Don't expect to get it here.
My sister and I live in different states. We both spoke to reservation manager on the same day. We intended to pre pay our room reservation. He quoted us each a price and we paid off the reservation (so we believed and were told) when we arrived, we were told we still owed a significant balance. We asked to speak to the manager to clarify and he was not in. Before we had a chance to speak to him, he cancelled the last night of our reservation! When we spoke to the desk clerk and explained our frustration, we got a shoulder shrug. We finally went ahead and paid for Sunday night (and still didn't get to speak to the manager) the last night of the reservation (we thought). When we headed out to breakfast Sunday the day manager asked us about checking out that morning. The night manager had not restored our reservation as promised after we paid an additional amount. In the meantime we also found out that the reservation manager had made similar financial mistakes with several other families and had been fired. We were never offered an apology for the hotel's mistake (which caused us a lot of financial and emotional stress) and were never offered any compensation for the error. The day manager, Luis, was the only person there who tried to help and was at least kind. It took several hours but he was able to keep our room for Sunday night.

I would rate the hotel itself three stars. As others have noted the walls are very thin and if you get partying neighbors at 1 am as we did, you won't get much sleep. We called the front desk to complain but as far as we could tell nothing happened as the whooping and hollering from our drunk neighbors continued for more than an hour. The street noise is also very very loud on the second floor.

The room was simple but clean. The beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is packed with great restaurants and the beach is up the street.

NOTE: The hotel is dog friendly but the
beach is NOT. No dogs on the beach. Since I brought my dog we snuck out on the beach early for a quick illegal romp.

Long story short. There are some other hotels at this price point. I would skip this one and go there.

The check-in went very smoothly. The porter is deaf but very helpful. The front counter seemed to changed quite frequently but was very helpful.

Check-in isn't until 4:00pm.
