From the moment you arrive at the Redbury (we rented a car) you are greeted by friendly, well trained associates who make you feel at home. My wife and I arrived early so we took advantage of some lunch in the bar at Lorenzo. This would be the first of three great meals in a two day stay. Lorenzo is a cool Italian bistro near the sea devoid of the Miami Beach tourist trap atmosphere. While we were waiting for our room we were informed that we had been upgraded to a Collins Avenue view. When we arrived in our room there was very nice bottle of rose sparkling wine with a note signed by nearly all the staff. Let me personally thank Vanessa who knew it was a special occasion. She and all the associates made sure that it truly was! A couple of comments about the room - no noise even on Collins Street, fantastic bed, great shower, wonderful robes/towels and neat retro vibe. The couple of times I called for something, it was delivered immediately. Top shelf service...
The two dinners at Lorenzo were 5 star. Awesome lamb ribs, grilled octopus, etc. and a wine list where you could find some jewels under $65 a bottle. We ate at the bar each time and Aldo was as good a waiter and bartender as you could find anywhere. Cudos to him, Mike and to Jonathan the GM for creating a wonderful place to drink and dine. I had researched several other restaurants before our trip, but we never ate anywhere else. Enough said.
Thank you again to the Redbury. I have traveled to over 50 countries and the service at this hotel is among the best I have ever encountered. We cannot wait to return - 10 stars out of 10stars!

I had a great stay at The Redbury this past weekend.  Hotel was exceptionally clean and comfortable.  Convenient beach access offered at the Raleigh across the street.  Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.  I was given a complimentary room upgrade upon check-in as thanks for being a first-time guest and was also given a coupon for a complimentary cocktail at their bar.  The bar drinks were innovative, fresh and delicious and the talented bar tender Mike was a pleasure to chat with.  Look forward to staying here again soon.

We really enjoyed our short stay.  The staff was great and very committed to taking care of the guests.  Room was nice and the bed was extremely comfortable.  We enjoyed some incredible meals at their sister property, The Raleigh, right across the street, and also took advantage of the beach facilities.  The roof top pool was very nice also.   Unfortunately the complementary "shuttle car" was never available when we needed it.
Room prices seem to vary a lot depending on where/how you book.  It is a great value at $200-$250 a night - not so much for $500.

I so wanted to love this hotel, but honestly I just cannot understand all of the stellar reviews.  Sure, the record players in the rooms are cool, BUT.... there really is so very little that this hotel offers to its guests.  No coffee, no real lobby area, restaurant closed, no newspapers, no fitness room, and just a tiny pool on the roof top. The coffee situation is particularly frustrating.  When I asked, the front desk told me that they couldn't do coffee now because the restaurant is being renovated.  REALLY?!?!  So the fact that you have a remodeling project going on somehow means that you cannot put Keurig machines in the rooms? The staff's answer for just about everything seems to be that guests can go across the street to their sister hotel and use the restaurant or facilities there.  So this means that I can get up, get dressed, and then cross a major busy intersection to obtain services -- and pay for the privilege.  Gee, thanks! On the positive side, the hotel staff have been very friendly and helpful, and it is in a nice, quiet location.

Sorry SBE.   I love most of your spots,  but this really is just an old hotel made to LOOK nice. My room's thermostat didn't work,  the shower head leaks all over the ceiling so I could only use the hand held shower head.   The double vanity is nice if traveling with someone.   My TV didn't work the first two days,  but today it has a program called VU that works nice.  

As a personal preference,  I don't like hotels that require you to use a key to use the elevator.   If you have friends over to pre-party,  you have to go down and get everyone.   Also,  no ice on the floors (I think that's an SBE thing),  so you have to call and wait for it.  And of course you feel like a tool if you don't tip,  so basically ice cost two bucks.

Lastly  the room service is VERY limited. It looks like a great restaurant with nice reviews  but not many dishes that I liked. Only three pasta dishes at an Italian Restaurant? Also  only three real entrees and everything is trying too hard.   I just wanted a burger,  but it was veal and beef and didn't taste good at all. Fortunately   it's South Beach and easy to find good food.

I hate to give totally bad reviews,  so I'll say the bed is VERY comfortable.  And they have a great blue tooth speaker.

Updating this to 3 stars because the front desk was responsive to our issue when we got back, and the car service is pretty useful (assuming someone there is available and has a key).

Never received the private message from management per the response, but it's no big deal.  Because of the nice conditions of the new rooms (and the cool record player), the hotel does deserve at least 3 stars, despite the valet service (which apparently is an outsourced, but still needs to be improved nonetheless.)

We recently stayed on the Redbury on a girls  trip to South Beach. We all had a great time & loved the hotel! Our rooms were clean and very comfortable. All the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The housekeeping staff was exceptional!

We loved our location. We walked everywhere in the area. Beach access to the hotel was through their sister property the Raleigh. It was close & so beautiful! We also walked to The Lincoln road area and Ocean Drive. I would definitely stay here again.

My only complaint was the restaurant was being remodeled, so there was no food in the hotel. It opens back up in one week. It looks so beautiful, so sad we missed out!

I definitely will be staying here again when I do return to the fabulous playground of South Beach!  The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and accommodates it guests very well.  The beach is a short walk away and beach chairs with towels are available.  I've stayed at the Redbury in Los Angeles as well and the brand is consistent.

I was just here for the night. I depart this morning. Everything was awesome. We got in to town early and they were able to check us in 4 hours before check - in time. Anyone who has showed up early somewhere knows how great that is. We were able to drop our stuff, take a quick break, then head out and get the day started. The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Room was very nice. Clean. Beds and pillows super comfy. Nice shower. And thanks for the gummy bears that were left for us and the nice welcome note after we came back from lunch!

There is valet service but while waiting a street spot opened up so I took it, so can't really comment on the valet service other than saying it's available. I used the pool on the roof which was a relaxing place to hang out for a bit. They do say you can get a chair and towel across the street but my stay was too short to take advantage of everything. If I come back to town, I'll stay here again. It's a block from the beach and in walking distance of a lot.

If I had one suggestion for them I would say to expand the room service menu. I saw Lorenzo's brunch menu on their website but saw that isn't offered for room service. I could just as well walk down and eat, but we all have lazy days!

Great price for a hotel across Collins Ave. from the beach. Access to two other hotels on the beach. Friendly service in a modern hotel with a retro twist. Extremely comfortable beds in each room. Count on a $20 resort fee per day.

This place rocks!  As in Capital Records.  Amazing rooms, staff, feel and rooftop pool.  Friendly South Beach staff - really?  Yup.  Big rooms and walk to everything.  Huge bathroom.  Love.

I came to the Redbury South Beach for my 21st birthday and upon arrival I was greeted by a very kind staff member. The check in process was very smooth and we quickly entered the room. The decor was very nice, beds were extremely comfortable, I loved the shower and the robes felt like heaven. The staff realized it was my birthday and sent a bottle of wine which I greatly appreciated. The stay would have been perfect except my debit card was charged each night I stayed for no apparent reason. The staff had no clue where the charges came from and I had to contact my bank to get the money returned. The operations manager was very helpful through the lengthy process but it was extremely frustrating to deal with while on vacation. Despite this the money was returned to my account in a short period of time and I still enjoyed my stay!

Loved this hotel!! It was my first time in Miami and I wasn't expecting much.  I got a great deal and couldn't be happier I booked it.  Everyone was so nice and attentive! The staff was super helpful.

I thought the rooms were decent sized and I loved the bathroom.  It was huge!  There is a cute vinyl record player in the room with actual records.  The robes were also the softest robes ever! Loved it.

I only used the car service once and it was pretty awesome.  I forgot the name of the valet but he was friendly, offering helpful suggestions since it was my first time in Miami, and very professional.  Would def go back again!! The best part of this hotel is that it is super close to the beach without all the crowded-ness of the rest of Miami.  You can use the pool at they sister property, the Raleigh but the rooftop pool was just as nice and secluded.

When we walked into our room, we loved it and thought it was incredibly cute.  The overall experience, however, was mixed.  

* Very friendly front desk.
* Air conditioning works really well.  The room cooled down very quickly, which was very needed on a muggy hot day.
* Comfy bed and pillows.
* Rooftop pool has a great view of the area, perfect for watching the sun set.
* Fast wireless

* 20 dollar "resort fee" to cover wireless access.
* PAPER. THIN. WALLS.  This was the biggest negative for me.  I woke up 5 times during the night because I could hear anyone and everyone walking by the room and their doors shutting.  I'm glad we stayed only one night for this reason alone.

First the positive: great location, super friendly staff and the room interior was fine and very clean. It was also very nice to be able to use the Raleigh hotel swimming pool and beach. The negative was that our room (#103) had a window that was 3/4 covered so that we didn't stare into the building next to us so zero view and a "boxed-in" feeling. We definitely would have complained if we were staying more than one night. Also, the room was located right next to the main door from the elevator to the hallway so we could hear the noise from that would awaken us. Perhaps the other rooms are much better.

I just finished four nights here with friends. The staff is wonderful - nice, helpful, efficient. The rooms were very comfortable and large. Nice bathrooms too - larger than in many of the old fancy hotels.  I was concerned by other reviews that said the walls were thin. I didn't notice anything like that. Maybe some rooms have that problem, mine did not. The location of The Redbury is about as good as it gets (3 blocks from Lincoln & Collins crossing) and various privileges at The Raleigh (beach) and SLS (gym) came in handy. I could not get a last minute 8:00 pm reservation at Cleo, apparently because it is too hot a restaurant. If you are going to eat there for dinner, book ahead.  I read about record players in the rooms so part of my trip prep was buying vinyl. That was fun.  Anyway, bottom line is I really liked The Redbury and had a great visit to SOBE.

Absolutely loved this beautiful boutique hotel. Clean room that was decorated eclectic very well. Great staff that was very helpful and accommodating. The rooftop pool is awesome. And the restaurant is absolutely delicious. You must eat there even if not staying at the hotel. Oh yea, and 24 room service and record player with awesome music selection was in my room (not sure if they're in all). Grrrreat place from which to enjoy Miami! ...might be returning next summer. :)

Absolutely loved my stay here!

We found a really amazing deal online for the Redbury for our stay in Miami, and boy am I glad we did! On the outside, the building looks a bit plain and drab, but the atmosphere immediately becomes hip and trendy once inside. The staff here were SO accommodating and attentive of our needs before we even set a foot inside the building.

The hotel is located literally a block from the beach, and they offer complimentary beach chairs and towels from their sister hotel across the street, the Raleigh. Lincoln Street is a little over a 5 minute walk from the hotel as well if you want to grab a meal or do some shopping.

They offer valet parking for $42 a night with unlimited access to your car, not that you ever really need your car considering the prime location and their complimentary BMW drop-off within a 3 mile radius along South Beach. You can't go over the bridge though, and the car service runs by a first-come, first-served basis. However, if you ever do need your car, you simply text them with the number they give you 15 minutes prior, and they'll bring your car over!

The room itself was quite spacious with the most comfortable bed. The decor is trendy and modern. The room had a huge plasma tv, a fully stocked mini bar, a beautiful bathroom with rain shower, and a record player?! How old school! They also provide huge, soft bathrobes during your stay.

I was quite sad when we had to leave, but if I visit Miami again, I'll know where to stay!

2nd time as good as the 1st Visit !!

Just got back from a short stay, but returned for a 2nd visit to The Redbury and am pleased to report it was as good as my first visit just 6 weeks earlier.

First off, I caught a redeye flight which meant I arrived at the hotel around 7AM....with room availability, the hotel let me check in early !! (I was grateful, having arrived in a suit, for not having to sleep in a chair until the early afternoon)....since I was a return visitor, there was a lovely welcome note from the entire front desk staff along with a very cool gif twrapped piece of white and dark chocolate in the shape of a LP record waiting for me in my room--very nice personal touch.

Once again, the entire front staff--predominantly female and a group I refer to as "Roy's Angels" made me feel as though as I was Lebron James. I only wish I had more time to spend at this magical place, but alas I will probably be returning in another short 3-6 weeks and cannot wait to book another stay at The Redbury...guys--a warning: hands off the ladies that work there--I saw them first.
.....best service I have received from a hotel in the US that rivals impeccable European service I have received at the Alma Barcelona and Buddha Bar Hotel Prague.

We decided to stay at the Redbury for 1 night.  As we were checking in, we were told there was a $20.00 resort fee.  Was told this was for the pool and beach.  Then we were charged $150.00 for incidentals.  I asked what this was for and was told it was in case we broke someting or decided to have a beer or someting and put it on the room, i asked if they could wait until we actually broke something or decided to put something on the room before they charged us, they could not.  charge was there, but was told all the hotels do it and its not even really like a charge, even though my card was charged.  very confusing.  hotel was ok, clean, decent room and decent pool but not on par with other hotels in the area.

sencond, third, fourth and fifth nights stayed at Loews.  unbelievable.  no fake charges, amazing pool, beautiful room, etc.  spend a few extra dollars, in this case its definitely worth it.

This was my first time at South Beach and I picked this hotel based on reviews and location (north of the busy part of ocean drive). When I was checking-in at around 10:00pm, the front desk didn't seem very friendly or welcoming. There was an issue with our booking where they had us down for one night when we were booked for two. After some time, this was supposedly resolved but the lady did not seem apologetic at all. When I got to my room, I was pleasantly surprised at how large it was considering this was South Beach. The bathroom was spacious and clean. There was a record player which was a nice touch. The king bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep. I didn't hear any sound at night. Around 1:00pm the following day, they called to ask if we were going to check out because the check out time was 12:00. I guess the lady at the front desk didn't leave any notes about the mix-up and that we were booked for two nights. Overall, I had a good experience with the room and the roof top pool. I would stay here again for the hotel and amenities itself but because my experience with the front desk staff wasn't great, I will probably try else where.

I spent last weekend at The Redbury for a friend's bachelorette party.  I would highly recommend this hotel.  It is clean and modern, the staff is friendly and professional, and the location and amenities convenient.  

We had four rooms and were situated on one floor.  The staff put welcome bags in each room that had a handwritten welcome note, mini bottles of vodka and some other stuff that I can't remember (the vodka obviously sticks out in my memory for many reasons).  Overall, a very nice touch.  Two of the rooms were essentially adjoining corner rooms  where there was a main entrance then a small foyer area that led to the separate entrance of each room.  It made all our hustling between rooms more convenient and presumably less disruptive.  

The staff was very friendly. I especially liked the waitstaff in the hotel restaurant.  They truly went above and beyond, offering unsolicited advice and answers to unasked questions (offering to call cabs, lending umbrellas, providing local recommendations), and they were also very friendly and funny.  

The rooftop pool was solid.  Access to the beachfront at the Raleigh hotel was a great plus, along with the two free chairs and towels per room. And we also had access to the SLS pool/party, which was awesome and a bit wild (perfect for the weekend).   There is a liquor store nearby, as well as Lincoln Road and many night time spots.  

Overall, I'd definitely put The Redbury high on my list of places to stay in South Beach.

Me and my friends stayed here last Thursday and we had a good experience! This is one of the nicest looking hotels on the South Beach area.

The room: Large with a big King sized bed, medium sized living room; enough to fit another king size bed, lovely bathroom with two sinks and a gigantic walk-in shower with a overhead shower head. This room is ideal for anyone visiting Miami.

The outdoor rooftop pool area is amazing with a view of the inner neighborhood and beach. I decided to even sleep a bit outside in the cabana seats to catch some sun and inhale that Miami air.

The customer service was tremendous too! Elina Paunina/Pavnina (last name), did an amazing job handling my questions and whatever I needed. She is helpful and will provide thorough answers. Her smile is a one of a kind! I def recommend her to new guests! This is one of the reasons why my review is a 5-star! Thanks Elina!!

Im a hotel expert. I travel internationally frequently and live in a big city. I know how big expensive hotels should operate. This hotel has all the right bells and whistles that a cool hotel should have for the price they charge. Except for the bad experience I had. Before you read any further, I'd say this hotel is pretty comfortable and quaint and pretty nice. If you want a real review of what would happen beyond that. Keep reading. This may just be for you.

Here's my story.

I got back late from a hard days work and decided to go for a swim at 10pm on their beautiful rooftop pool. I arrived and the place was empty on a Saturday night. I felt lucky. The moment my body hit the water a security guard appeared and said it was against hotel rules to swim at that hour. While I appreciate stopping crazy drunk people from disturbing the other guests, my swim was non-intrusive. We paid a lot for our hotel, you'd think they'd be cool. I was alone and being very quiet-  just needing to relax- which is the whole point of traveling to Florida in the first place. I asked to swim a few laps just to feel relaxed from the long day and the guard treated it like I was a hostage crisis. He got super aggressive like I had a bomb in a bag. I'm a reasonable person as perhaps he was doing his job, so I don't blame him. But unfortunately there's no more humanity in hotel service with them. Everything is by the rules. Much like big corporate chains, they didn't look at the situation and think "oh, here is a guest just trying to relax and use our facilities." Instead they did what they had to do and kicked me out. There's something nice about a place that has their customer's experiences in mind. They are not that. Bummer I was wrong about this place and bummer I thought it would be somewhere you can go and relax. It just didn't work out. So, I hope the person who reads this review will know that your money is hard earned and you feel good spending it in a place that takes care of you. Sorry but all you're paying for here is this tacky wallpaper. Other places with similar wallpaper have better way of doing business that feels intimate and legit. That's ultimately what you're paying for when you're not at the ritz, right?

I LOVE this hotel! Felt so at home staying here. My wife and baby daughter, especially enjoyed the rain shower in the bathroom. Our room had Elton John, Coltrane, Norah Jones and Ben Harper records. Would've loved it if we had The Beatles or Bob Marley but I can't really complain.

You can use The Raleigh's swimming pool if they're not fully booked or if there's no event going on. At the beach, you can also use their beach chairs and towels. Use of umbrella is an additional $19 for the day. You can also borrow beach toys for your kids so you dont have to bu or bring any with you. The beach attendant was a really nice guy and always had a smile on his face. The Redbury's rooftop swimming pool only goes till 4 ft or so and is quite smaller than what I expected.

It had such beautiful interior decor and you almost don't want to touch it especially the library's. All in all it was a good experience to stay here and will definitely be back whenever we're in South Beach.

Recently my husband and I had the pleasure to spend 4 nights very relaxing and full of great attention from this warm, beautiful and friendly hotel and the staff. ~ We were very pleased by the answers so cordial and sincere by the Manager of the hotel, Mrs Gariboldi... ~ Reading some of the satisfied customers and other not so much for one reason or another, we really believe that communication is number one in life, (by the staff and guests alike).  Therefore we decided to have our own opinion and experience. :-)
Each who must give and expect the same treatment given and prior.
