Great place to stay, highly reccomended for a stay on South Beach. Everything is in walking distance - restaurants, beach, shopping, dancing, bars. Rooms were very nice and were at a great deal considering the amazing location. The beds were very comfortable and the housekeeping did a great job each day. The only  complaint is there is a $14 charge to use Wi-Fi DAILY, and I know at some lower end hotels Wi-Fi is complimentary.

I've been to this hotel twice. My experiences have both been good. The rooms have been clean and it's, in my opinion, on the perfect part of the strip.  Close enough to walk to all of the crazy, busy beach front hotels/bars, but just far enough away that you don't have to hear drunkards at 4am.

I'm a hotel snob hands down and have traveled fairly extensively. Best shower ANYWHERE!!!  Extremely well appointed room. All the photos you see here are accurate and then some. DVD player with surround in the living room area. Nice kitchenette for reheating/coffee/food storage. Staff is super friendly and ON IT!! I liked The Front Porch Cafe for breakfast on previous visits in town and was happy to discover it was part of the hotel I had chosen (try the crab cake Benedict at breakfast but avoid the Cobb salad at lunch. Opt for the fish tacos instead)..  Proximity to the South Beach scene is good if that's what you like. Pool area clean and relaxing and you can even get a poolside massage should you want to splurge a bit. And of course a poolside bar.  Everyone says the rooms facing Collins ave are loud but I'm a light sleeper and whatever kind of glass they're using in these rooms shuts out pretty much any noise. This is the fifth hotel I've stayed at in South Beach and it blows the others out the door. In fact it pretty much surpasses most of the places I've stayed of a similar caliber anywhere.

I arrived at the hotel on Thursday September 13th at approximately 3pm. I attempted to check-in the hotel. I explained to the desk clerk that my sister had missed her plane and was now scheduled to arrive several hours after me. I asked if I could check in and take my bags upstairs. The desk clerk told me no. I mentioned to her that my name was on the reservation. She checked again and told me yes you may check in, but I had to provide her w/ a credit card. I didn't have a credit card but offered my debit card and was instructed that a huge hold would be placed on my card, not to be released until a few days. Therefore, I opted not to do that. I then asked if they could just hold my bag, as I had other friends who I could hang w/ until the rest of my party arrived. The hotel agreed and tagged my bag and gave me the ticket to retrieve my bag later. Approximately 3 hours later I came to give my bag, turned in my ticket and after about 20-30mins I was told that they were looking for my bag but they were certain that it was in the hotel. Then after another 20 or so I was told they couldn't find the bag and was watching tapes to see if they could find out what exactly happened to my bag. I waited for another hour or more before I was told that my bag was given away by mistake to guest who checked out of the hotel on their way to the airport, possibly traveling to Brussels. I immediately became distraught. I will say the hotel staff was very apologetic except for a Ms. Vanessa, Front Desk Agent. She was the one that I actually gave my bag to upon leaving w/ the hotel. A front desk supervisor told me that she knew that I had probably planned to hang out that evening and that I should go out and pick up some things to get me through the night in hopes of having my bag found and returned the following day. She indicated that I should make the purchase myself and that the hotel would reimburse me in cash. She instructed me to go to the Lincoln Rd. Strip mall b/c they had several stores there. So I went to Macy's b/c there I felt I could get many things that I needed from one location. My friends and I arrived at Macy's approximately 6-7mins prior to closing. We ran in and all went separate ways to try and maximize our time. One friend was looking for undergarments, another pair of shoes, and another looked for clothes. We had no time to bargain shop, or try on anything. All of the registers were closed except one that stayed open only to help me. After leaving Macy's we stopped at a drug store and picked up a few things there as well. My total purchases at both the drug store and Macy's was approximately $500 dollars. When I returned to the hotel w/ my items and receipt, I was told that I would not be reimbursed beyond $150. I then burst into tears. This night had just become worst!!! My friends felt extremely sorry for me and a few of them began showing their displeasure by confronting the hotel staff. The staff then threatened to have my friends removed from the hotel by force. The front office manager was called and I spoke w/ him over the phone. He questioned my integrity and suggested that I purchased 4 pair of jeans, which was a lie. I then felt obligated to show Catherine what I had bought. I pulled out the 2 outfits, underwear, bra, and incidentals from the drug store. I was humiliated. Here I am the victim and was being treated like a criminal who had done something wrong. After many tears and discussion, they hotel finally agreed to give me the money I had spent. They told me that the next day the GM would be at the hotel and I would be able to speak w/ him. However, that was not the case. He didn't take time to ever visit me. It wasn't until Saturday evening that he even bothered to call me.  I found the GM, Ramon Antelo unapologetic and irritated by the fact that I was so irritated and unhappy. I felt like he felt that the solutions that he offered I should just take them and be satisfied b/c he told me that if the airlines lost my luggage they would do nothing and at least he was trying to help. I was appalled by the sentiment. I was the victim! After all that, the insurance company that is supposed to provide me w/ a reimbursement to cover SOME of but not ALL of my lost items is not giving me a hard time...worst experience EVER!!!!!!

Amazing. The room was gorgeous, the pool was nice. Best part of the hotel, imo, was the smell! omg it smelled soooo good :)

Service was nice, only minor complaint was that one lady promised to call us with jet ski recommendations but failed to do so - no biggie since we found a place on our own...but the only issue we ran into.

Breakfast at the Front Porch Cafe was convinent and delish.

I stayed 2x's at Z Ocean Hotel for a business trip for 6 nights. This place was formerly named a different name. Now it's owned by Crowne Plaza.

-Small Boutique hotel
-Front Desk was very attentive.
-Rooms with Balcony with spiral staircase leading up to private deck with jacuzzi, and a bed over looking City view, or Partial ocean.
-Great location
-Amazing showers with 5 jets setting.
- modern Decor and clean!
-No restaurant on site. So no room service. There used to be a good restaurant Table 8.... But they closed down and another one is being built. You Can Order from Jerry's deli across the street.
- Rooms seemed small for a penthouse suite
-Rates doubles on the weekends
-Current construction going across the street and at the hotel's restaurant.Big cranes obstructing the view .Shouldn't they offer a discount? $541 a night +taxes resort fee.... Not worth it..... At least not the next few weekends. FYI, They are in the process of  putting in a new restaurant on site.

The roof top jacuzzi is cool. The staff is attentive . The property is clean and well kept. I can only give it 4 stars because their is a lot of things missing for it to be a 5 star. Cool, chic, great location, small suites, great showers.... But always some quirks!!!! Hopefully in a year or so they will get all the quirks worked out and this can be a awesome hotel :-)

This hotel is awesome. Right in the heart of South Beach.

Very modern. Everything is up to date. Granite countertops in the kitchen. Fancy shower with a rain head and jets on the walls.

Great location on 14th street and Collins. Ocean Drive is the next block over. If you're not near some place you want to go, more than likely you are a $7 cab ride away.

The staff is wonderful. Caesar in the concierge is awesome. He knows where all the hot spots are.

Awesome hotel.  Stayed in the penthouse suite with a partial ocean view and it' was great!  Shower was amazing too!  Valet has a bad attitude and didn't open door for my pregnant wife...or it would be 5 stars.

Although I was incredibly disappointed with the city of Miami I have to say this hotel impressed me in so many ways I feel that I would be remiss if I did not write a review reflecting what a wonderful place this really is!  The team here also deserves to be commended for their professionalism and hard work.

Upon arrival the WONDERFUL woman by the name of Dailene checked me in early.  About 2 hours early in fact.  Only issue with the room (a penthouse suite...PH 16) was that it had a terrible city view of a dirt hole and had a very strong odor which I could only identify as strong cleaning products.  I was visiting with my best friend who happens to be pregnant so the stench in the room was intolerable for her.

After speaking with Dailine she empathized with my concerns and asked that I go to lunch and she would contact me once more rooms became available.  I was barely finished with my lunch when I received the call that I had a new room available.  Talk about timing!  There was a lot of light inside the suite, and most importantly the rooftop terrace was open with a fantastic view.  I highly recommend the PH Site 12 :)

Now onto the hotel.  The bathroom was obscene!!  A 5 shower head with 4 smaller heads coming from the wall and one rain shower head coming from the ceiling.  Talk about luxurious!!  I have never experienced anything like that even at the "Prestigious" hotels I have stayed at in the past which I shall not name.  There was also a hand shower on the wall which served no purpose but it was nice to have.  When I say this shower was amazing I mean it!!  I could stay in there all night and even my friend remarked once she took a shower saying she now understood why I would stay in there for long stretches of time.  The double vanities was convenient for 2 woman staying in one room.  The housekeeping might possibly be the nicest and most friendly I have ever encountered in my life!  Once again a reflection of how fantastic the staff is at this hotel.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and I own a select number bed so it is very difficult for me to sleep in any other bed.  I slept like a baby!  Which was honestly the purpose of my trip...to relax and rest.

The room was quiet and the hotel was very quiet,  no noisy neighbors or parties.  I truly enjoyed the peace and quiet especially from the rooftop.  Although the hotel is situated in the hustle and bustle of the city....you would never know it based on my experience with noise or lack of noise.

Now the rooftop....talk about a small piece of heaven on earth!  The king size lounger was incredibly comfortable, in fact I took 2 naps on it.  Every day they replaced the towels and linens which I found very convenient.  I also loved the fact that they filled the tub each time I wanted to use it.  There was no chlorine and it was more like a whirlpool bathtub than a hot tub with harsh chemicals.  I loved that!!!  I could make it as hot or cool as I wanted dependent on my mood or the temperature outside.  It had jets and lights like a hot tub but I must say I enjoyed the bathtub aspect of it and utilized it for relaxing at least 2 times per day.  I actually sat in it for 4 hours one morning with cool water while sunbathing and it was my favorite morning there.  There were 2 evenings where I called the hotel while on my way home from dinner and they would fill the tub in advance.  This hotel understands how to make their guests feel special and for that I am truly grateful!

The room service was mediocre.  The French toast was fantastic and definitely worth trying!  The omelet was not good and the veggie burger made my friend sick :(. The fresh juices were indeed fresh and might I add amazing!!  I enjoyed having my breakfast each morning on my rooftop with the sun shining....it was an exceptional experience to say the least!

The beach is even closer than the website or reviews lead you to believe.  Literally across the street from the hotel.  You automatically pay for the beachside service (which is discounted through the hotel at more than half the normal rate) so you can walk over to the beach and enjoy your day there in comfort and style :). I would utilize this service!

This hotel is one that I would recommend to EVERYONE!  The location was prime (situated perfectly between Collins and Ocean Dr), and the customer service here was the best I have ever had in my 15 years of traveling!  The management team is incredible and I truly enjoyed my visit to this hotel.  Miami as a city was another story BUT I plan to come back and stay only at the hotel for the customer service and amenities this hotel has to offer.  These amenities are unique to this hotel only and I cannot stress enough how wonderful r staff here truly is.  This is a deal breaker for me and they have a life long valued customer on me!  I strongly suggest you stay here if you are planning a relaxing trip to Miami.

This is the best hotel i've been at in Miami. Exceptional service from the front desk to the bell boy to the pool staff to the service at Table 8. The decor of the hotel and rooms is trendy and modern. 2 flat screen TVs one facing the bed one facing the couch. cool shower with water coming from 3 different directions. his/her bathrooms. 2 balconies. The best part is the 2nd Fl balcony of the PH suites. Perfect space for a group of people to party with equipped with a refrigerator, sink, jacuzzi, table, and enough seating for around 10 people.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel on Collins Avenue. Just a few minutes walk to Ocean Drive, the beach and Espanola Way.

Upon arrival at 11AM, our standard room wasn't ready. We weren't surprised because official check in time is 3PM. Michele, the front desk clerk glady took our bags to storage so that we could walk around until the room was ready. Michele called our cell around 1PM letting us know the room was ready. When we got back he upgraded us to a Penthouse suite. What a bonus! Our suite came with a bar area, sitting room, awesome shower with multiple jets and a spiral staircase to the private rooftop terrace with jacuzzi. The suite was the most beautiful we've ever stayed in and it was hard to leave it.

Some people complain about the $15 resort fee, but it's a good value. For the fee you get a lounge chair, umbrella, towels and some magazines to enjoy on the beach.

Would love to stay here again.

Omg. Lovely.

I'm trying to get over the sticker shock with hotel prices inMiami Beach. This place is expensive.... But in comparison to the dozen or so hotels I've visited here, the price/value ratio for Z Ocean Resort is pretty good.

A brand new hotel it seems, which I am grateful for after the "quaint" (cramped, damp) art deco places.

The rooms are suites and are large and fabulous. I had the least expensive suite which was overlooking the pool and was so impressed with the large balcony with great patio furniture, the monstrous bathroom, the kitchenette, the two flat screens, and the fabulous decor.

The lobby and pool are excellent as well. They do an excellent job here at maintaining the ambiance throughout the resort.

One con: the beach service wasn't great. The chairs and umbrellas and staff weren't nearly as nice as their equivalents at The Double Tree's Surfcomber down the way. Go there instead!

I hope I can afford to stay here again!!! :)

Wireless internet is a disappointment on two levels:

1. have to pay $14/day and did not offer a multi-day package
2. more importantly, the wireless is extremely slow... I checked with speedtest.net and got a .31 mbps download -- extremely slow!

The staff are awesome.

Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars should have their keyboard taken away.  No pictures that I saw did this place justice.  You need to see this place in person.

This is a top notch hotel.  I stay in hotels approx 12 weeks per year in many locations.  You can arrive with the highest of expectations and not be disappointed.  The service was impeccable.  The staff has clearly been drilled on every detail of their responsibilities, from the front desk to the maids.

Big Things that make this place great:

- Location- you are right there. Clubs, stores, Beach, whatever u want- right there-even a starbucks for me. ( i was worried that the hotel wasn't ON the beach.  Don't worry.  You are right there) They have a staffed section of the beach w towels and chairs. Your $8 daily resort fee covers (rate was cheaper cuz I booked online)

 -Awesome pool, and Hot tub

 -Bar at pool

-Complete refinement in the style and quality of decor from A-Z

-Bed was stiffish but pillows/sheets/comforter could not be nicer.

-The suite style of the rooms is a big plus.  The little kitchen lets u make drinks and snacks etc.  Also has a pull-out couch.

- Big bathroom.  I think there were at least 3 types of showering options

Little things that make this place great:

 Real towels + Robes
 Little chocolates

 cool window bottomed pool

 bathroom in lobby

 great tv soundsystem

 glasses/dishes, microwave in room

Twice a day maid service ( Ive never had that)

This is a very romantic hotel (plus if that why u came)

We had a city view room.  View was great.  Didn't miss out by not opting for ocean view.  We had a great balcony w table and chairs that afforded us great people watching while having cocktails.  We didnt have the roof/hot tub room, but we didnt miss that either.  The shared pool hot tub was amazing.  You will miss this place when you leave.

There was a cockroach on the baby's chair ewww. Not baby friendly at all. I was sent to the bathroom when I asked for an area where to breastfeed my baby. In the bathroom they did not have a baby changing station I guess because it is South Beach and who would take a baby there, but dumb me. It was brunch time and I Had a salad which was hot and not good at all. The prices are too much for the poor taste and lack of options. Took the hostess almost an hour to sit us inside because outside was just too darn hot. Look like you got money when you go here because if you don't you might get bumped down on the list to be sited. The waitress was not attentive at all had an empty glass of water for a long time. The jelly was delicious, but the restaurant doesn't make it.

I choose this hotel room even knowing that it would not be enough space for my family of four, because we love to be outside, and this hotel's rooftop balconies are second to none. The rooms are not large, you need to know that from the get go, and the bathrooms are kind of awkward, with the toilet area separated only by a sliding door from two different sink areas on either side.  But there is something amazing about this hotel that allows you to forgive it of all its shortcomings and feel like you are staying in the best hotel on the planet.

The decor of the rooms is so chic, and while everything is really compact, they somehow fit a lot in there. I was told that the sofa bed would sleep two kids. It would have if they were toddles. My pre-teen kids barely fit, but they loved the hotel so much they did not complain.  The hotel smells amazing, which already makes you feel good.

So, if you are going on a romantic getaway, this is the hotel for you. If you are traveling with kids, and need space for them, maybe not. But it depends upon the kids. Mine do not want to stay anywhere else on any future Miami vacations.

I can't say enough about this hotel - I love it! I stayed here in 2010 and had some issues. Big issues.  I wasn't sure if I would ever return. Well, I did, and I am so glad that I did. They have really made some improvements to their check-in procedures, beach service and the overall staff just is so much more friendly and helpful. I will return to this hotel again and again and again!!!

I was staying in Miami after a cruise and south beach was the place of choice. Decided to stay at the z ocean as I travel for work and had the points to spend. Extremely happy I chose this hotel over the few other options in the area.

As we entered the lobby it had a very nice atmosphere and great service upon check-in. Our room was not ready as it was around noon and they told us about the amenities in the nearby area. Changed into our suits and they held our bags for us as we headed off to the beach (literally across the street). Got taken care of by the boucher brothers $21 fee waived as I am a platinum elite member. Very nice setup on the beach. FYI there is a convenience store on the corner with very high prices. Try a walk up the block to the Walgreen's for much more reasonable prices.

After a few hours on the beach we received a call from the receptionist (Jessica) telling us our room was ready. The room was beautiful as described by the other reviews. It was a little odd that we got a knock on the door shortly after we entered the room and it was a guy to check the mini fridge for inventory. I thought this was a little weird and I called the front desk to complain. They told me to press the button by the door for "Privacy" and we were not bothered for the rest of the trip. Please keep this in mind if you do not want to be disturbed as this is slightly different then the normal door hang.

All in all a great trip and great hotel make sure to check out Lincoln ave and Espanola way very cool strips with restaurants and bars within walking distance. Will definitely be staying at this hotel in my future trips to SOBE.

We were looking to stay on the beach and to use some Priority Club points. Z Ocean fit the bill. And I have to say it was a really great stay. While checking in we were offered a glass of champagne, told about the hotel, and then taken to our room. Here the bell boy explained our room and more about the hotel. Here's things I really liked about this place:
1) Yes valet is like $30 a day but that is with unlimited in and out access. Lots of places will charge you each time you need your car. They were really quick and friendly.
2) Espresso machine in your room. It works and they refill the pods every day.
3) There was a mini-fridge, microwave, plates and glasses as well as a mini dinette.
4) Super comfortable bed.
5) Great balcony lounging.
6) Shower has water jets everywhere.
7) You get two chairs, towels, and an umbrella on the beach if you are a Priority member.
8) Great location, short walk to everything.
9) Super friendly staff.
10) Managers Happy Hour.

Things I wasn't so crazy about:
1) Small pool area. Fills up quick.
2) Safe didn't work. Called front desk, they sent someone up right away but there is some protector thing on it and we were locked out of it for 15 minutes. That's 15 minutes I can spend on the beach. I get it, that's how the safe works...

Modern, classy, right on the beach, friendly young staff, solid restaurant.
This place is great. Stayed here for a few nights while working in South Beach. It is fun, clean, and in a great location right next to Lincoln Road, Ocean Ave, and Collins Ave.  The penthouses on the top floor have jacuzzis that overlook Miami Beach.

It is expensive but a true example of getting what you pay for.

i went down to miami in november, and it was a nice climate change from new york.  the z ocean resort was a nice place of stay.  in the penthouse rooms, there are private jacuzzis on the top level, as well as nice comfortable seating looking out to the beach.  in the room, there were two flat screen tvs.  the layout (esp the bathroom), the cleanliness, the decor were all memorable.  the gym was a bit small, but had the necessary treadmills and elliptical machines.

location wise, this is right in the heart of south beach, and you get access to all the fun bars and restaurants!

This place ROCKS.  If you are looking for a great place to stay next to the beach, this it IT.  We had a penthouse with a roof top terrace and it was amazing.  We had a partial view of the ocean, but the hot tub and lounge area made up for it. The hotel restaurant was good and the service was great.  If you are staying in south beach and want to be close to the beach, this is the place.  Even the room service was reasonable.   We will definitely be back!

Visited Miami for a 3-night stay back in November and I honestly did not want to leave!!! From the friendly valet staff & helpful bartenders all the way to the pleasant housekeepers, it a was very cool calm and collected experience. The location of the hotel is on the more quiet end of Ocean Dr. but not too far from an array of shops, bars, clubs, restaurants or the beach. Very clean, upscale and intimate. Definitely will book there again on my next visit.

My partner and I recently stayed here a little less than a week for his birthday and we're really impressed with the Z Hotel, it was a great pick. We booked rooftop suite and would totally do it again. The location was perfect, staff was very friendly and we had a great time. The hotel restaurant is great for breakfast. The beds are very comfortable! We initially booked a car, but decided against it and took the bus from the airport to South Beach. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the stop. Glad we spared that expense as everything we wanted was so close. If you're looking for a cool place with a funky vibe and great views, do the penthouse with rooftop views at the Z and you won't be disappointed.

On a recent leisure trip to SoBe, we chose to stay at the Z Ocean Resort, which is now a Crowne Plaza Hotel.  I am a Platinum Member of this hotel company's program and got to stay there for free.  I had no expectations of this hotel other than it was in South Beach and near the beach.

When we arrived, from the outside, it looks like a modern art-noveau building in the midst of South Beach.  Getting out of the cab, we began to walk down a carpet lined hall with a fountain and lined with candles, lit for the time of the evening; it was a bit surreal, but lovely on the sultry South Florida evening.  Entering the hotel, we were greeted at the front desk by Francisco, who not only had our reservation ready, but explained everything to us.  We asked for some dining alternatives and he was quick to offer choices, etc.  Asked about the beach, he told us how to access the beach and gave us some great suggestions (there is a Starbucks near the entrance to the beach; remember to stop there and buy a water for your time on the ocean, etc....).  We took our key and went up to the room

OK, listen to the fantasy music play.  The room was bigger than my apartment!  Marble floors, beautiful bed, an entertainment center with 2 flat screen televisions and a BOSE sound system and a balcony with a dining table and two chairs.....a full bar set up with an espresso maker, coffee cups, espresso cups, real crystal wine glasses and champagne flutes.

Double down the fantasy music....the bathroom  OMG.  The bathroom.  Here is the lay out.  A long stretch as long as the room with an entry at both ends.  Two full vanities, a toilet with frosted glass doors on both sides and the shower.  Let me describe this shower:  You can walk into it....there is a bench inside.  It is about 6'x8' with 8' ceilings.  On the ceiling, there is a huge rain shower head overhead, 4 side showerheads and an additional occilating showerhead on a handle.  I could live in this shower and be happy.  We went to the beach just so we could come back and take another shower.

The beach is only a block away and the hotel has an arrangement so that you can go to the beach and get chairs, an umbrella and a perfect position on the sand.  I could not want more for a get-away.

Ebone at the Front Desk was an excellent hotel representative also.  She helped us to secure a rental car and called not only for availability, but pricing, letting us know that we could actually make a cheaper reservation if we made it online than in the store.  She was terrific.

This hotel is located near Espanola Way, the touristy area of SoBe, which, despite that, is a pleasant place to enjoy dining al fresco.  Also, down Collins Avenue are the big named stores, such as Armani, Versace and more......

This hotel experience was SO GREAT that, after we left, we missed "our room".  We cancelled our last night in Key West to return to the Z Ocean Resort for our last night to enjoy.  And I am glad I did.

As someone who travels a lot, I would have to put this hotel into my top three hotel stays in the world.  The room, the friendly service and the location all make it excellent.

It was so geat, I would have paid to stay there.  God, I do love those frequent guest points!  Thanks Z Ocean Resort!

My stay at the Z Ocean was absolutely wonderful! Went for a two day getaway this past weekend with my boyfriend and we stayed in the penthouse suites and had a marvelous stay.

The room was gorgeous with two flatscreen TVs, small private bar, a very comfortable bed and a nice view of the pool below. The bathroom was great, with his and her sinks and an awesome shower with about six shower heads.

The rooftop was the best! You can have a nice lunch on the balcony or go up the spiral stairs and hang out on your private deck with a bed to lay out in the sun on. My favorite part was the jacuzzi in the corner that was cleaned out after every use.

The hotel staff was GREAT! Very kind and courteous. I actually left my eyeglasses behind and they had them shipped back to me in 3 days.

This is definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, if not THE best. Definitely something you should check out if staying in South Beach!!

We stayed at the Z Ocean Hotel from 5/5 to 5/9 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked a king suite using priority club points (15,000 points plus $60 per night) as a platinum elite club member for all 4 nights

We did not use valet at the hotel ($32 per night), but instead used the city parking garage just a block away on 16th and Collins ($16 per 24 hour period).

We had room 302 overlooking the pool and loved it. Our room was spacious - a king bed on one side, and a pull out coach on the other, with floor to ceiling windows and a glass door that leads to a huge over sized balcony with a pool view (and the ocean in the distance beside a neighboring building). We never had noise from the street, and although our room was just outside of the ice machine, we never heard it during the night. There are two TV's in the room, just note that there is no wall separating the space - but there is plenty of room. The bathroom was also rather spacious. A his and hers sink, with a toilet in the middle (with sliding frosted glass doors on either side of the toilet) and a huge shower that has three options - four jets from the wall, rain water nozzle, or hand held nozzle. Needless to say, I loved taking a shower.

I assume that rooms that face Collins may be a little noisier when on the balcony, but then again, my bed was right up against the windows at the pool and I never heard anything. Outside noise never seemed to come in.

The room has two TV's, one of them with a bose sound system that you can hook your Ipod up to.

There is also a wet bar with a "cooler" fridge for you to stock with your own food/drink, a fully stocked "cooler" that you can pay for, a sink, plenty of cabinet space, a coffee maker (make sure you read the directions in the drawer!), and a comfortable amount of cabinet space.

As a platinum member redeeming points, we didn't pay the $21 resort fee (this includes lounge chairs, towels and umbrella at the beach, as well as towels at the pool). We also didn't pay for internet (about $14 per day).

Dominick at the front desk check us in and was very accommodating. He was professional and happy to answer questions. Other front desk employees were also happy to help at any time, and always greeted us when we passed through the lobby - that always made us feel welcomed!

Housekeeping was fine - we did ask for the pull out bed to be made twice before it was done, but that was the only delay. Otherwise, our room always felt clean and we were pleased with the service. Plenty of towels and amenities.

The pool was lovely and the crowd was social and friendly - we made new friends while we were there. The bartenders were also eager to help at the pool bar - sounds like they all rotate from the restaurant downstairs (The Front Porch) so everyday is a new bartender. They seem to enjoy the variety.

There was also a pool attendant to make sure there was a towel on each chair - she also passed out frozen grapes or ice cream bites throughout the late morning and early afternoon. Same at the beach - this was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise.

All in all, I want to go back right now - this is the best hotel I've had in South Beach EVER. I will return, hopefully with points as this seems to be a cheaper option (hint - consider buying points at priorityclub.com if they have a bonus going on, then book with points + cash). It's convenient to most SoBe clubs, dining and the beach. And the pool was heaven. I still want to check out the hot tub suites...maybe next time (I have to aspire to book something different and better, right?!)

See you next time!!

6 stars if possible.
We were in SoBe for the Ultra Music Festival and a friend had a connection who could get us a "nice room at a cool hotel"......
Z Ocean is way beyond nice and cool.
Great staff, quick check in and helpful concierge with dinner reservations
The room.... very sweet.... large and well laided out , but the big surprise and most unique part of the room was when we opened the sliding door to check out the balcony and there is another set of stairs... up we go to the sun deck and a huge outdoor hot tub with a amazing view of South Beach.
We were in town for three nights and this oasis was perfect for getting away from the madness of the EDM Festival.
A little sun in the morning , downtown for some music and dancing back to the Z for a nap, then out to dinner and the festival for some more music and dancing and then a nice long soak in the tub with the stars above before bed.
Next day repeat........
We checked out the pool once and it looked great, but with our own private and kinda secluded sun deck, the three of us preferred to tan there.
The lobby ceiling pool port hole is a cool feature.
We had breakfast a couple of times at the Front Porch Café. Good Food, Good Service and lots of espresso's to start the day .
The location is great with an entrance on both Collins and Ocean and easy walking distance to al the SoBe shops and casual restaurants.
I hope to back it back next year......Im in Miami B#%$h !

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place! I booked a hotel thru Hotels.com and got a smoking deal we got there at about 1pm and the people at front desk were beyond helpful including the bell boy. Our room was amazing we had a jacuzzi and a view of collins st.

For the people who say that this hotel is not on ocean, they are wrong the cafe is ON ocean and you are at the very begging of the Ocean action. STAY HERE!!!!!

I will be back!!

oh, ps. THE SHOWER IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spend lots of time in there needless to say haha! ;)!

I don't think I have enough stars to give to this hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the rooftop penthouse suites for a long romantic weekend and this hotel was the perfect choice.

Z Ocean focuses on the little things and to me, the littlest things are what make the biggest difference than other hotels. First and foremost, the staff is overly attentive and helpful, they genuinely want you to enjoy everything there is about your suite and accommodations.

I loved the "Do Not Disturb" button (which definitely did come very useful during my romantic staycation) instead of a typical "Do Not Disturb" sign where you have to open the door. Just hit a button and that's it!

Did I forget to mention our private hot tub?! Sometimes, I don't always want to be at a public pool -- well, Z Ocean offers both options. Our room came with a private spiral staircase along with this very spacious jacuzzi! Very Romantic and convenient :)

The shower was also something I have yet to experience before in any upscale hotel. There were jets bursting from all sides, needless to say it was the most relaxing shower we've taken in quite sometime...

Additionally, the food (especially the breakfast/Brunch) from The Front Porch Cafe was stellar. Get the French Toast, to die for! The prices are reasonable and the menu options go on for days.

There's so much more to rave about but do yourself a favor and stay here, you will not regret it!

What can I say about the Z? The exterior is so unobtrusive you can easily drive by or walk by without realizing it's there. But, this hotel is amazing. We were offered a welcome glass of champagne. Our suite, the lowest priced suite, was gorgeous. It was on the second floor with a full bar / kitchenette with microwave and fridge. The living room had two TV's, one for the bar area and one for the bedroom area. The bath had  a toilet area between two sinks and vanities. There was adequate storage for clothing, something that many "boutique" hotels don't provide. Our balcony was tremendous and overlooked Ocean Drive with a "view" of the Ocean through the palm tree branches. The balcony had two chaise lounges, two chairs, and two tables. The pool area was ordinary but clean with ample chaise lounges and a jacuzzi. The hotel property has entrances on both Collins Ave and Ocean Drive, which is the best of two worlds. Beach access is literally across the street and the beach attendants are accomodating. The hotel provides everything you need for the beach; towels, chaise lounges, chairs, umbrellas, etc. all complementary.  The service at the Z is the best I have ever experienced in my years of travel. Whenever we arrived, we were greeted with "good evening" or "welcome back". One of our TV's didn't work when we arrived and they literally arrived two minutes after we called to fix the problem. Housekeeping was impeccable, with turndown service provided in the evening; wet towels replaced, etc. Valet parking, though expensive, was extremely efficient. The Front Porch restaurant was excellent for breakfast and lunch and 1/4 of the patrons were from the Z with 3/4 from other hotels in the area. The Z is small in size, with 72 rooms I believe. In fact, it is easy to drive or walk by the property w/o realizing that it is there. Just south of the Z are the "Art" hotels of South Beach. Just  north of the Z are some moderate high rises of upscale national chains. Because there is a condo between the Z and the ocean, an ocean front room is impossible at this property. But, our balcony did have an ocean view, albeit through the palm tree branches.  To sum up: if you don't like gigantic high rise properties: If you don't want to stay in the "narcissistic" area of South Beach and want to stay at a property that is "tranquil" yet "hip", "laid back", yet "attentive", this is your hotel.  I REALLY LOVED the Z. I hope you will too.

Looks like the completely messed up my billing.  I was charged for parking without even having a rental car... was charged for mini-bar items and other charges that did not add up to my bill.  One of the nights was even charged over the rate guaranteed.

To top this all off there was a charge for $200 over a noise incident apparently because we were trying to get in our room for over 30 min.  This happened several times though during the stay because the key did not work.  The maintenance guy himself indicated it needed to be replaced.  It was a major hassle to stay somewhere that you could not get inside your room then get charged for it.

Wow am I impressed with the Z Ocean Hotel! From beginning to end, our stay was wonderful. My boyfriend even lived in Miami for 9 years and he thought it was great.

Let me start off with our room. We stayed in one of the penthouse suites, which had a private rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi, lounge chairs, and table. The room was spacious and nicely designed, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower was awesome with six different shower heads! The rooftop was my favorite part though, because it made it so we barely ever had to leave the hotel! I have to say, they did a great job insulating the rooms from sound as well. We were in a busy area (14th and collins) and were never woken up by the noise from outside. Also, it was really nice that the hotel was much shorter than the others around it so the wind was mostly blocked from our rooftop. It seems as though they thought of everything. Even the rooftops have retractable ceilings if you're not into the sun.

The jacuzzi they provide for each room is not just some chlorine filled tub that everyone before you has bathed in (gross). They fill it up each time you want to use it (complimentary too!). You can even pay more for specific soaks such as seaweed, which we indulged in one day. Even if you do the complimentary bath, they set up the whole area for you with towels, mats, and even aveda bath salts. I really liked this option because it was a little chilly at night while we were there so it worked out perfectly to have a little soak when we came home from dinner.

The service is great, everyone is there to help and seems happy to do it. I really felt like we were very well taken care of throughout the entire trip.

Breakfast was complimentary for us, I think because we booked with points from a credit card. The food was pretty decent, considering it was free. I usually just got the fruit with granola and yogurt everyday because that seemed to be the best. The eggs and bacon were not so good. I didn't expect much, so I really didn't care about the food part. There are so many other great places to eat.

Finally, the location is awesome. We walked to Lincoln rd. everyday without a problem, and anywhere else we needed to go in Miami Beach was a $7 or less cab ride. Next time I come back to sobe I am definitely staying here!!

It may be a problem if you're in South Beach but your hotel is so nice that you just can't wait to get back to it. Even the topless sun bathers could barely lure me away. That's how lovely my stay was at Z Ocean.

Not only did it offer refuge and comfort, but a nice dose of luxury at a reasonable price as well.

With entrances to the hotel on Collins and Ocean Drive, the location is a prime spot to be in the mix. At the same time, it wasn't too crazy at night with foot traffic, so the surrounding area manages to remain peaceful during the later hours.

Even in the daytime, the lounge areas felt modern and sexy, but even more so when the sun set. Lots of cozy little places to lounge by the bar.

My room was magnificent, especially for the rate. The suite was spacious, with a beautiful wood grain entertainment system, central to the suite with televisions on both sides, a mini kitchen area sink, coffee machine, microwave and mini-bar, a sweeping , spacious bathroom divided into thirds that was sectioned off by two sinks, a toilet area and spa like shower with built in shower bench (not that I would dare) and multiple shower settings, attacking from every angle.

Additionally the king sized bed was delightfully dosed in down and provided one of the best night's sleep I've had in quite some time. Oh, and did I mention the private balcony? Ahh, if only it was ocean view.

Service was flawless and the staff was always helpful and pleasant. It was always also super easy to hail a cab out front with the help of the doorman.

Although I love switching up and trying new hotels, I might be stuck on Z Ocean after my stay here. It was just that lovely.

We stayed here in early December for one night post-cruise.  We've previously stayed at The National and The Royal Palm.  Z Ocean is probably our favorite, but we prefer the location of the Royal Palm better.  (The National is yucky and overpriced.)

PROS of Z Ocean
1. This hotel is a few blocks from Lincoln Mall Road, on Collins Ave so it's near the action.
2. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.
3. Standard rooms are suites, and are very modern and spacious (especially for South Beach).
4. Surprisingly kid-friendly rooms (sofa beds, kitchenette, step in shower, double sinks). My kids loved this hotel
5. Bell staff friendly and helpful.
6. Comfy robes for use
7. Nespresso machine with 6 refills included
8. Fridge is separate from the minibar in the room, with a microwave!
9. TWO televisions in the room, one facing the bed and one facing the sofa. Very kid friendly IMO.
10. Lots of seating in the room. Unlike other hotels where everyone ends up sitting on the bed, there are barstools, a sofa and a nice chaise chair, as well as bed benches.
11. Free wi-fi
12. We got 2 free drink coupons for their hotel restaurant (that we didn't use, but it was a nice touch).
13. Sheets were luxurious, plenty of fluffy and comfy pillows that smelled wonderful and clean.

1. Although it's near the action, it's not right in the "thick" of things. If you want to eat at the heart of Lincoln Mall Road, it's far enough of a walk to warrant a cab. It's also not right on the beach but the resort fee gives you umbrella/chair privileges. It's a little far from the main shopping areas on Collins, about 4-5 blocks.
2. The sliding glass door and balcony was a perk, but it did not seem very secure and is easily accessible by your neighbors. I'd lock the balcony door if going out for the night.
3. No real lobby.
4. No self parking, and valet is steep at $35.
5. Construction right in front of and in the lot next to the hotel

I would totally stay here again, as this hotel was a nice surprise. With children, I was worried about finding the "right" accommodations in South Beach (post cruise). We had a really great time here and would return.

Pros: rooftop hot tub and the shower in the room. The staff was very accomodating and had no problem with a late check out (granted it was a monday). To fill your hot tub they dont even have to go thru your room, they just pop up on the rooftop and fill it anytime. We loved that! You can also close the curtains and make it very private ;) The pool is small but we never had a problem getting a chair. The walk to the beach is no problem and the chair attendees were very friendly! The room was a nice size and I loved the his and hers dressing area.

Cons: Dated. The chairs on the rooftop were broken and the surroundings up there seemed dated. The room was clean for the most part but everything seemed worn. A lot of families and kids mixed with just a  few younger people- just not really our "scene"

We probably wont stay there again but the rooftop hot tub is something everyone should experience.

This place is amazing.  My family and I got a suite when we stayed for a few nights. We had our own balcony, a great little kitchen (fully stocked with all the nespresso you can drink!), two tvs, a great sound system, a pool, and a huge bathroom.  Because of the set up of the suite, even though there were no walls dividing the living room and the bedroom, it still felt like enough space without getting into each other's faces.  I loved that there was a mini fridge to keep some food. I loved eating breakfast on the balcony.  Service was great too. When we checked in, we got a complimentary glass of champagne.  Plus I love that their gym is half outdoors.  Great place to stay!

The mojito is great but Valeria is better! She always has a smile that will brighten up your day with a matching warm and friendly personality! Next time you visit the Z Ocean make sure to stop by the pool and see Valeria! She's the best.

This hotel is great!  We were between this and The Betsy and I'm SO GLAD we chose the Z.  First off, it's address says Collins but it has an Ocean Drive entrance too so don't pay attention to that.  The hotel is on Ocean drive, 1 block from the beach.  Unfortunately, there are no beach views simply because there is a Starbucks, ice cream parlor, liquor store & souvenir place right across the street in a cute new development.  It's kind of a plus actually.  You get free cushioned beach chairs, towels & umbrellas which saves you $$$ daily!  Plus, we brought canned beer out on the beach each day and nobody squawked.
Hotel personnel are very accommodating and kind.  You get two free drink tickets upon check in for the bar. Cafe is overpriced but good food.  Pool is very nice but again no beach view.   Rooms are spacious with kick ass 6 shower head glass showers, a fridge for personal use, down comforters & pillows and two TVs!
Hotel is within walking distance of both Lincoln Road (great shopping/movie theatre 10 min walk) and Espanola Way (cute Euro type dining area at night). We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Miami!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Z Ocean. Great location walking distance to the beach, heart of Ocean Drive, Lincoln Mall, Espanola Way, etc..  We had the partial ocean view roof terrace and loved having the view not only from the upper terrace but also from the bed and the lower balcony.  Everyone was very helpful and friendly from the front desk, concierge, housekeeping and certainly not to forget the bartenders! The restaurant, Front Porch was good enough with lots of options.  I enjoyed the luxurious modern hotel style and the layout of the suites.  The only downside - our rooftop terrace was clearly calling out for a party and there were only two of us!

Out of character with the rest of our stay, there was an error in the room rate on our bill resulting in over $1,000 extra over the week stay, a little stressful with all the hubbub of packing up and heading to the airport. Eventually they fixed the bill, but it was disappointing that the front desk staff started off by questioning me item by item rather than just taking a look at the confirmation I had brought them.

Fortunately, so as not to leave on a sour note, 20 minutes later as we were leaving our room to head to the airport, one of the front desk staff saw us in the hall and radioed down so that our taxi was waiting when we got to the lobby - much more in line with the friendly and helpful service we received throughout our stay.  While I don't travel enough to go to the same place twice, if I did, I'd be back at Z Ocean again soon!

By far my best experience in Miami ever, this hotel is beautiful. I am really big on customer service, this hotel goes out of there way to make you happy. First the location is prime, you are close to everything. The room with the private balcony is a once In a life time experience. The gentlemen Andres who checked me in, is a master of customer experience. I was very tired and upset that I been traveling a lot, I took it out on him for no reason and he apologized for my inconvenient and assured me I would be taken care off. Anytime I ordered anything from room service, it was delivered within minutes. Literally as soon as you hang up the phone they are there. In addition to all this I received a letter in my room, it stated "Mr. Customer (my last name) we want to make sure you have a great experience and are going to take care of you. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will not be disappointed.

My new wife and I spent a week here for our honeymoon and it was all that we expected and hoped. I had researched for weeks different hotels based on what we were looking for, location, and reviews from others.

We stayed in a penthouse rooftop terrace room and it was awesome. You not only have your own balcony but then a spiral staircase going up to your huge, private rooftop patio.  This patio has a hot tub, sink, refrigerator, speakers to hook up your own source, and furniture to sit or lay. It also has privacy and sun screens to close if you wish. After reading reviews beforehand I had reserved room PH10 and it was perfect. Great ocean views.

As other reviews have said the shower is amazing and pours water from everywhere. The room is a nice size complete with a kitchenette including refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee/espresso machine and all silverware needed to eat in. The room also has 2 tv's, one for the couch area and another for the bed side.

Service was excellent and they were always helpful and on point with any request.  Location is perfect. Within walking distance to anything you need and just off the loud ocean drive so you can leave that when you need to. We would definitely stay here again.

I am a bit disappointed about my experience here. Maybe because I travel a lot and my standards are a bit high. Their strength is the staff, undoubtedly one of the best Ive dealt with. Their weakness is that they advertise their hotel as a five star facility in an inexplicit way. That is not true at all, yes it's nice but not five star nice. I'm not going to go into details about this but there's a well-known standard for hotel ratings and they lack many that come with 5 star hotels. Also note that the view for their rooftop penthouse suites shown on their website is not what you'll get, I know this is the case with other hotels, but that should be noted in the room type ( ocean view or city view) and that should also impact the price.

I know this is a supply demand game, hotels get greedy during holiday sessions, specially in places like Miami beach but for the price I paid, I would consider staying at the Ritz Carlton instead.

Overall, I've enjoyed my stay there thanks to their outstanding staff.

Cheers !

Average motel experience. We were late due to the thanksgiving snow in NYC. I called before taking off to confirm the crib for our baby. But when we arrive at 3AM in the morning there is no crib in our room which is very frustrating for parents and a 6month old baby just gone through 6 hours flight delay and everything. And the Frontdesk told us there is nothing they could do because they are out of cribs. Come on that's the only thing we asked for! Confirmed! Again and again!

Also the pool was out of order the whole stay!

Also the the room is old, really old. The wall of bath room feels like falling apart.

Jacuzzi on the roof is cool but still feels dated.

Two star for the location and jacuzzi. We couldn't believe this cost average 500+ per day. We paid 500+ in many places but this is just exceptionally under expectation

Z ocean wanted me to take ZZZZ's on the rooftop terrace and you know what... I did!  Oh Z Ocean - I HEART YOU!

Last year I wanted to stay here but we were with a big group so it was not feasible. This year for my Birthday I opted for this place and boy it did not disappoint. I can see why people love this area of South Beach. The location was the best! Also Stephanie at the front desk was very nice and even sent up a bottle of champagne since we were celebrating a birthday.

We came on a Saturday and the room was available early for us. SWEET! We got champagne upon arrival, some drink tickets and checked into the Penthouse suite AKA rooftop terrace room.

If you plan on staying here try and get the Ocean view. We had the city view on the corner with construction and it was sorta annoying. I am thinking the ocean view would have been the bomb.  We also came when the weather was cool and the rooftop was so cold with the wind. we wished we could of come when it was not so cold to enjoy the rooftop more.

We did check out the pool at lunch there also - pretty decent. Tried out the hottub on the 2nd floor also next to the pool also decent.

So let me break down this hotel.

Opted for rooftop - AMAZING
Service - outstanding
Location - Right in the middle of the action
Restaurant Attached - The Front Porch had a great lunch and yummy brunch
Starbucks right across the beach
Beach - right across from hotel with chairs provided
Aveda Products - Yep I snatched all that were in my room up to bring them home
THE SHOWER - OMG the jets in this thing made me not want to leave. There are a total of 6 and i kept wondering why no one told me about this. I wanted to take like 10 showers a day while here
Room - Clean
Walking distance to Lincoln Road
Tons of other places such as liquor store are in abundance around here - again very good location

A bit on the spendy side but we the rooftop was worth it
Valet - $37 per day
Jacuzzi - needs to be updated was a bit old. I am not sure how well they clean these tubs so beware and enter at your own risk
Rooftop - Although the rooftop was spectacular and had the most amazing view it needs to be updated. The fridge is old and dirty looking and there are cracks on the steps. They do keep it clean and it was perfect for friends coming over but could use some updating

Overall I would stay here again for sure. The location was great. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. I've stayed at the Fountainbleau 3 or 4 times and although it is also a nice hotel I love this hotel more.

All the little extras.
Great pool, hot tub and location.

We were greeted with free champagne, checked in early and given a great room.

Here's the extra that you get: When we checked in we had accidentally booked 2 rooms. My fault. My job to call expedia and fix it.  When I got to my room, Andrea at the front desk called and said HE had already taken care of it for me. I wasn't looking forward to dealing w that call. That's the kind of service that brings you back to a hotel.

Scam artists and liars. Book a room show up and they give you a room that is lower tier than what you've been promised. Go to the front desk and request to be moved to the room you've paid for and they tell you the hotel is completely full... While someone is being checked in at the counter next to you!

Major construction going on all around the place. No sidewalks.

Photos make it appear to be on the beach, it's not.

Based on the lack of service and a week long stay, I think the majority of these hotel reviews are fake and paid for by the hotel.

Absolute BEST customer service. Amazing housekeeping, swanky pool and jacuzzi, and gorgeous rooms. Located right in the thick of it.

Great hotel! I stayed with a friend for a couple days and was very surprised I have never heard of this nice little gem up high on Ocean Dr. He stayed at the Penthouse and it was very well appointed, the private jacuzzi and rooftop area is very nice. The staff was extremely kind and warm as well as the overall vibe.

The pool is a bit small but it was fine to cool off with and have a few drinks. We ate dinner at the bar and had Jamie Queen as our bartender and he was as cool as could be. Gave us great tips and was just super nice to talk with. The food and drinks were good and the hotel was very hip and the location cant be beat!

Ripped Off
Unfriendly Service
No Ocean Views
Unpleasant corner Location
Traffic Noise Pollution
Not Recommended During Art Week/Basel

I reserved the second to largest penthouse through IHG reservations, paid in advance and used some of my rewards because I wanted the extra room to have people over. Upon arrival I was exhausted from traveling from the Midwest. After waking the next morning I realized they had given me a standard room. When I attempted to address the issue, they told me no other rooms were available and that I was in the correct room.

Allowing random people to check into unreserved rooms beside me (seriously!), I illustrated in multiple ways why the room I was provided was not the correct room. NO HELP, regardless of who I talked to. IHG said I had to deal with hotel management on site, IHG was not liable.

What actually happens is that during Art Basel (5th time attending as VIP) prices go up dramatically as you get closer to Miami Art Week. So, in order to get the most for their rooms (I reserved 3 months in advance) they leave options available for people who "walk-in" and charge wildly high prices because of the location in reference to events and most hotels are booked solidly.

I should point out that unless if pay for the most expensive penthouse (hope you get it) you cannot see the ocean from any room. It has an trashed empty lot next door on the corner (see my photo). When I visited my rooms cable was not operational (citing a change in their "service provider", really? during peak season?). Balconies are not private at all.

I should also mention, that upon our last day we rode the elevator with another couple who had the same problem with being given a lesser room. Fortunately, for them they had the energy to fight for correct room. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in South Beach.

When booking I didn't realize how awesome a hotel stay this would be! We are only one night into our stay but felt compelled to review. Hotel service is fantastic, checkin was quick and courteous with a glass of champagne, and housekeeping stopped by an hour after to checkin to deliver bottles of water and a thank you note. Later upon arriving back from dinner we found another note in room and a bottle of wine. I have rarely been treated so well when traveling!!!

Hotel is beautiful and has neat architecture. Shower and bathroom has inspired me for my next bathroom remodeling project. Bed was supremely comfortable with nice linens. Almost has a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, and much to enjoyment of my wife and I a Nespresso machine.

Can't wait to spend the next few days here and may return to Miami on future trips just to stay here!

stayed 5 nights last week and it was the best hotel I ever stayed in miami (I'd been satyed at the triumph, lowe, Stanton Marriott, shore club, standard spa before).
Yes, it doesnt have the ocean view but they do have reserved sunbeds on the beach. And The hotel located right in the center of everything.
Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping malls and night clubs. As a coffe junkie, I also loved their fancy coffe mashine (NesCafe) and Starbucks right by.

And the roof top !!!  We stayed one of those penthouse which they have private roof top and jacuzi. Have speakers and refrigerator so my b.f and I could relax, listen music and watch the moon with glass of champagne in the jacuzzi. This was definitely a game changer to me. You might able to find a suite room  with the same, similar price,  but I am quite sure there wont be no private Roof top nor jacuzzi. I would say it's over 1,000 sq ft, include the roof top.

Everyone was very nice and professional. And when we came back after checkd out to find a missing item, they were still very friendly and helpful.

It's a  4 stars hotel feels like 5 !

I am an IHG priority club platinum member. I also have an IHG credit card, which includes an IHG annual complimentary room. I recently visited Miami south beach for a cruise to the Bahamas. I was able to confirm my complimentary room at one of IHGs Crowne Plaza luxury suite hotels named "ZOcean". I was lucky to confirm my complimentary suite, which normally costs $450 per night.

"ZOcean" is south beach's luxury boutique suite hotel with 79 suites located on Ocean Drive with only a several minute walk to the beach. The hotel is also an "AAA" four diamond hotel.

The valet parking is separate from the hotel so expect to pay for parking separately. Upon check-in I was immediately recognized as an IHG platinum member. I arrived early around 1pm so my room was not immediately available. I subsequently walked over to the beach and then had lunch as the hotel's "Front Porch" restaurant also on Ocean Drive. Following lunch I was able to check-in. I received two complimentary bottles of water and two complimentary drink coupons for use at their bar.

I had a beautiful king suit #226 on the same level as the outdoor pool, hot tub and pool bar. After dinner I was able to enjoy the hot tub with a glass of pinot noir. The room was beautifully decorated in line with the vibe of south beach. Check out my pics of my room and my view. I was also recognized as a platinum member in the form of a letter and post card in the room. The hotel GM Ramon Antelo also arranged a complimentary bottle of wine.

I also received a complimentary coupon for lounge chairs on the beach.

The service here was one of my best hotel experiences.

My check-out was as smooth as my check-in. I was elated to find there were no extra charges for my complimentary room. I really enjoyed my stay here. I have stayed at other Crowne Plazas, but, this was the best by far. I will definitely return here.

We've been coming to South Beach for years. Use to own a condo there but living so far away it wasn't always used...sold it and now just stay on Ocean Dr.
We normally stay at The Victor but last year was horrible. $1000/night you get attitude and horrible treatment.

We found Z Ocean thru research and liked the pictures and reviews. Customer Service from booking the room to check out was GREAT! Always grateful for you being there, rooms are really clean, pricing was great for a penthouse.

Valet was very respectful with your car. Always friendly!
(!!Make sure you tip!!)

Front Desk, Housekeeping I really want to thank. They made sure everything was 100% the entire time.

The beds were so comfortable. After a day on your feet in the heat, you want to come back and rest and you can for sure here!

Now!! The showers could make you liven up. 6 shower heads, perfect amount of pressure, never ran out of hot water and the bathrooms were so clean, it was impressive.

Mini bar, espresso machine, 2 tv's, robes, slippers, patio table and chairs overlook the pool, hot tub and lounging on our 2nd floor roof top!! LOVE!

We are fans and are definitely coming back next year to stay with Z Ocean!

The restaurant down stairs was fresh and friendly. Great staff! Never too long of a wait and you can get a drink lol or two and socialize with other guests or locals while you wait. Great atmosphere!
