    I have stayed here 3 times and my last experience was the best of the three times. Parking is $7 or $8 per day but you park in a garage connected to hotel, and if you park on your floor level, and easy as that it's less than a 5 minute walk to your room door. For $100 a night it's a great place. Everything in total comes out to about $120.00 per night, including the taxes, security safe box, and parking. Not bad. Wood floors, large rooms, king bed, desk with leather chair, 3 person couch, a few lamps in the rooms, bathtub, large mirror in bathroom, large mirror in room, small closet, fridge, microwave, telephone, smoking and non-smoking rooms, pool and gym access. I didn't try the restaurant or bar. The wifi does not work. The key doesn't work sometimes but just slide it in and out quickly a few times and it works. The locks in my room worked all three times I stayed. I must have gotten good rooms when I stayed. The last time was best, third floor non-smoking. It's a spacious, clean room in my opinion. The decor is definitely old school, but it is not a modern hotel. It's in a good location too, 5 min drive from McDonalds for late night munchies and also 5 min drive from fantastic restaurants like RA Sushi, 5 min drive from some other places like Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Boca Tanning. I didn't try the breakfast.

    They are completely crooks at this hotel. Best in Miami? Who are you kidding? This is the one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. They charge for parking and if you don't want to pay the parking fees, they have some connection with local police for giving tickets to everyone who parks in the street if they are like 1 minute late to put the coins again. The wifi is a big lie. There is only wifi in the lobby, but not in the rooms or even by the pool.  The pool is smaller than a house pool and really not worth it. The rooms are filthy, the AC does not really do the trick at all, smelly rooms, non hygienic bathrooms, last century tiny fridge that cannot even fit a water bottle. The breakfast is disgusting (but there were no expectation on that). They also have a 2.50 dollars mandatory charge for the safe in your room.  And guess what?mthe safe does not even fit a tiny laptop inside.  Not sure why you have to pay for something useless that none will use.  What really gets me is the parking and the deal they have made with this JPALLAIS officer.  All the tickets I have seen from the same name. We got one at 11:53pm when it had money until 11:52pm and at midnight was free until the morning.  I wonder if the office had spent his time standing by our rental car.  The next day I saw the same name in other people's cars.  This is truly disgusting! Oh and I almost forgot, some of the personnel don't speak English.  So you go and ask for something and you get this rude answer: "no English" almost like it is your fault they don't speak it.

    Stay away from this place!!!! Coming back from Colombia with a layover in Miami, I felt like I got caught in a third world country twilight zone episode, it took the shuttle 1 hour to come and pick me up from MIA at 8PM, the Van was dirty and I thought it was going to break down on the freeway, I get there and was greeted by Paula, a Dominican Lady that lacks the social skill to be in this sort of position, the shuttle to the airport only runs after 8:30 am so those with early flight s have to pay $35 for a taxi, the elevator does not go where you want it, just keep pressing the buttons until it stops at your desired destination, the room key did not work, so Charming Paula finally told me to just ask them to open the room for me every time I needed to come in and somebody from the front desk would do it,  the thermostat in the room did not work, it was either on or off, there was mildew on the walls, and the free WIFi only works in the Lobby, the worst part is there was never an "I am sorry for the inconvenience" or any kind of apology about anything.
    I have traveled to a few Latin American countries (including Tijuana) and the Philippines, all so called third world countries and this was by far the worst hotel experience ever, this place should be closed down, maybe another hotel operator would do a better Job, it has a great location.

    This was possibly the worst hotel ever. I was afraid to take off my shoes or sleep in the bed. The only good thing, the new shuttle from the airport. This hotel would have gotten Zero stars had that been an option. The rooms smelled, the hardwood floor was not even finished. The in room mini fridge was totally rusted. J.S. must have gotten paid for his 0318/2012 review or he must be the owner.

    Stay away!!  Horrible service and poor cleanliness of the entire hotel.

    I found a large piece of foot skin in between our sheets.  Ended up sleeping fully clothed (shoes included) because I couldn't stand touching any of the bed linen.

    This place does not deserve to be called "Best Miami Hotel". The appearance of the lobby is the best thing about the hotel. Other than that everything is filthy and needs improvement. The rooms have really bad ventilation so it gets stuffy in there quick, so basically you have to turn the ac down to 65 degrees to make the humidity go away. Also, since the ventilation is so bad my clothes and the sheets on the bed felt damped all the time.. Yuck. The hotel smells weird like an old house and the carpets are super dirty. The only good thing is they have a pool and gym, but this hotel left a lot to be desired. I know I am NEVER coming back to this particular hotel ever again.

    Stay Away!

    The shuttle bus was LATE to pick me up for the airport and the vehicle looked broke down and was dirty! In addition, the shuttle only brings you only up the block and back, very limited service.

    Looks can be deceiving... The hotel looks like paradise from the outside, but STINKS of mold and mildew once you step inside! From the lobby to the rooms to everywhere, there's no escaping the smell. For a second, I opted to sleep outside near the pool.

    The breakfast is very disappointing. Mini bagels, tasty cakes and cereal. Orange juice, coffee, and Milk.

    The Wi-Fi is horrible and the only computer (in the lobby) they have is SO slow that has to be the first computer ever made in history!

    This hotel has so much potential! The staff is friendly, but the smell is unbearable. Come here if you want to be near a shopping area, metro and have a nice pool to swim in.

    Worst Hotel I have ever been to!! I would sleep behind a restaraunt in their dumbster before ever going to the people again!! STAY AWAY!! Or I get to tell you I said so.

    We arrived to this so called 2 star hotel (Really??, who in the world rated this?) late at night. They charge for parking!! and charge for the safe which is not an option to be charged. I asked why did they not just include this in the room fees and I got "Take it or leave it", yes he said that. Being 1 am I was not in the mood to go hotel hunting. So I went to bed and figured I will speak with the manager in the morning.

    Drove around to the parking lot from hell. Got in our room and immediately smelled urine all over this place. A/C was running like a fridge at 50 degrees and dripping on the floor. I opened the window and slept like that.

    In the monring I got up and looked around for their so called internet, well WIFI is only in the lobby and 12 people had that tied up. They had this "world class" breakfast ready for their 100 plus guests (yes I'm being sarcastic). 1 gallon of juice and milk, 2 cereals, coffee which they ran out of and would not make more, dozen bagels and one toaster and then a selection of prepackaged muffins. WOW!!

    Went back to my room and here are the cons of this room. Fridge was a 2 by 2 ft fridge rusted out and smelled bad. They attempted to put wood flooring down over the carpets, no base boards, walls had holes, windows are sheet rock screwed closed!, AC leaks everywhere, bed damn near fell apart, CABLE? ignore the snow and you'll be find. And don't ask for water!! No pressure and no hot water.

    I tried to discuss with the manager and got Priceline to talk with them and the said they did not see an issues and there is NO refunds. I told them I'd pay for the one night but wanted the rest back so I can go elsewhere. Again told that I would have to pay for the booking and then told to get lost. Who the he#$ tells their customer off? These people are all about scamming your money!! Be warned!!

    Priceline gave us our money back, "Best" Miami needs to close down soon.

    THIS PLACE WAS AWFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

    My cousin and I decided to stay here for Memorial Day weekend and UGH. We read the reviews and knew this place was cheap and wack lol but we didnt know it would be THIS bad. If you just have a quick stay and want to stay somewhere cheap, i guess you can go with best miami hotel.

    Customer service was awful and all the people that worked there were hispanic and barely knew English. I sensed some prejudice from them if you werent spanish as well.

    Look out for hidden fees too.

    The room didnt smell like mildew surprisingly lol but yeah. I would never stay here again.

    The hotel is also very far from the beach but did have like a McDonalds down the street which was very convenient! Luckily my cousin and I did rent a car so if you do decide to stay here YOU NEED A CAR.

    Lots of stray cats everywhere too which didnt bother me because I am an animal lover.

    Oh and yeah to park in their parking lot overnight they charge you. And their WIFI doesnt even work lol

    GOOD LUCK IF YOU STAY HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The reason I chose this place was because it was close to Larkin Community Hospital where I've been job shadowing. What a mistake! I'd much rather pay for a taxi ride each morning than stay another night here. My air conditioning in the room unless turned on 50 degrees and max will leak water from the ceiling and leave a puddle after about 30 minutes. There is no redeeming quality to this hotel. There's no Wifi except in the lobby. To top off my stay, there was an ant colony living under the couch in my room. I didn't think a hotel could be this bad, I was even skeptical of the bad reviews, but for the love of God stay away from this place!

    False advertisement! Old, they say they have a breakfast. The breakfast is a few pieces of fruit & some dry cereal-lasts 2 hours. 3 ice machines, none worked. Went to front desk & was told "We'll that's the way it is". Charged $2 for in room safe (regardless if used or not). Beds are as old as the tv (25 inch Panasonic tube that cut out every time the elevator was used). No wifi in rooms, barely worked in lobby. Parking was stated as $7.50, I was charged $8.50 with the explanation "ya it went up". Asked for a extra pillow & was told they were locked up but they could get me one in the morning. When I explained it was for sleeping I was told "Thats the way it is". Out back door they were redoing the parking ramp-constant jack hammering! Best of Miami??!! I hardly think so!

    Zero not one but zero stars i would give this hotel. First off the keys never work we need to go everyday down to the lobby to reactivate the keys. Also one of the two beds was broken when we got here,took them three days to fix it after we called twice a day everyday. The maintenance man came to fix it and left it undone half way which we ended up doing it ourselfs anyways because they left the other bed frame out side. Then the room service sucks completely.  They lady that would clean our room said that no one in this hotel wanted us here and we should just leave. She was extremely rude and all we wanted was for her to do her job. They never did our beds and gave us only two towels for three people. after she was screaming at us and telling us all those rude comments i went to the manager his  name weis  Israel  and he was really rude, he then said that he wanted us out of here on thursday which is our last day because we complain too much.  Which in reality we are complaining because nothing is done correctly and took her side infront of her and didnt tell her anything  and the staff that works here is also very unprofessional . The tv is old,the lamps work when they want to and the only thing that works a little too well is the AC which for some reason causes humidity. even one night the cover for the ac fell from the roof and landed on me hitting my head.  I WOULD NEVER bring my service here again. Nor do i wish anybody to go through what we have gone through these past weeks. They also charge for parking and a 2$ fee per day for the safe whiether you use it or not.

    Do not stay here. I paid 106 after tax and the rooms are noisy with the furnace, the window has duct tape on it, and they can't even offer wifi in the rooms. The rooms are not even that comfortable. Do NOT stay here.

    This hotel is destined for one star all the time, that is, unless you happen to catch Hilberto working!  I'm not gonna bother listing everything wrong with this hotel, because its almost everything.  It will be easier to point out the few good things that I found to be up to par.

    First off the price, if thats what you are looking for.  If you are in Miami for fun and will barely be in your room, then yes, this is for u.

    Its in walking distance to the metromover.

    Finally, yes the list is that short, Hilberto!  Hilberto is an older gentleman that provided me with some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.  If it was not for him I would have just completely blasted this hotel with all their deficiencies.  In a hotel filled with terrible customer service, admittedly some of it may be due to the language barrier, Hilberto shines like a diamond.  I am a needy impatient person and Hilberto made me a believer and a friend  by the end of my trip.  If you have to stay here make sure u ask for him!

    Okay, let's start with the good, since it won't take long:  The hardwood floors are nice, the AC works (probably a little too well), and the room we had was pretty big.  Now for the bad:  When I booked the hotel, I was told it was only a 15 minute drive from South Beach and the airport.  Turns out it is more like an hour for both.  I called for the shuttle while we were at the baggage claim in the Port of Miami.  At first the lady says it will take 30 minutes, but then we will have to call back when we are outside and THEN they will send a shuttle (because everyone loves to wait outside in the sweltering heat of Miami, right?).  Then when I called back a few minutes later they said their shuttle was down and I would have to pay for a cab and they will reimburse me.  We take a $40 cab ride, and then when we got there, we were told there is going to be a $30 fee for checking in early (even though they didn't bother to tell us that when we called them for the shuttle, or put it in the terms when I booked the room online), and a $2.00/night fee for a safe we won't be using.  So much for that reimbursing, huh?  They don't have an iron in the room, and if you want laundry done (even just a wash and dry), you have to have it sent out and hope it comes back before you leave.  The shuttle to the airport leaves at 8 AM and then doesn't leave again until 1, so if your flight leaves any time in between, like ours, you're stuck at the airport for hours.  There is nothing around it in terms of restaurants or anything but a little sub shop and an Einstein's Brothers Bagels.  The closest mall is Dadeland Mall.  Yup, THAT Dadeland Mall.  I guess we got what we paid for, but it would have been nice to have been informed about all the fees and had a little more professional service.  I don't mind paying as long as I am aware, but not letting people know until they get to the front desk is sheisty and unprofessional.

    DO NOT STAY HERE! I had my passport, laptop, cash, hardrive, watch and everything valuable stolen from my LOCKED ROOM. There is a daily fee of 2 USD for a safe compulsory to your bill and the safe did not even work. Please! pay those few extra dollars for a hotel that hire staff that are trustworthy with a clean record and good reviews. This has been a nightmare that i want to be over but now I have to find a way to go to washington dc australian embassy. they had said they cant compliment me 2 nights as i have to wait for my police report and contact the consulate and sort out my things. so they have kicked me out after they have stolen my things. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE

    Very disappointed,  no washcloth to wash with, but grateful for the shuttle.  Ill see how the complimentary breakfast is in the morning. The corners of the room are dirty, the housekeeping needs to do more than clean the surface. The room has a musty smell.

    If there was any way to possibly give this Hotel a lower rating, I would definitely do so. The service was absolutely horrendous in all aspects. The front desk staff was rude beyond all belief and were not inclined to be helpful or responsible for issues whatsoever.

    Upon our arrival we realized that there wasn't any parking on the street and we found that there was a parking garage specifically for the hotel (not labeled from the outside) and they charge their guests $8 in order to be able to park in their garage, accompanied by a $2 fee for the security safe inside the room, even if you aren't planning to use it. There wasn't any parking outside so we agreed to pay for the garage.

    When we finally got inside of the hotel room the first thing we noticed was that there was a mini fridge next to the door that was leaking onto the floor. Also, the metal bed frames had the two legs protruding about 4 inches into the walkway, and all four people staying in the room hit their legs at least once during the stay. Not so dangerous but if someone falls and hits their head, it won't be pretty. Also the ceiling had what seemed like mold in certain areas near the a/c vent.

    Also, we went out one night and returned to the hotel at around 2am, expecting to have parking since we had paid for it. There was absolutely no parking in the garage at all, so we had to call the front desk. They took about five minutes to answer the phone and didn't even have a solution for us. Finally after minutes of discussion, they told us to park in the "valet" section (which was the roof of the garage with no cover, and it wS pouring rain outside).

    Before we checked out of the hotel, we asked to speak to a manger just to share our experience and explain all of the issues we had during our stay. The woman at the front desk informed us that she was the "front desk manager" and that she was the one we needed to speak to. We told her about all the issues and all she could say was "we'll get maintenance on it" (which by reading other reviews is  what they say to everyone). She basically just brushed us off and didn't even apologize for the inconveniences.

    I just wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you're looking for somewhere  to store your luggage. No Wi-Fi in the rooms and they originally misinformed us about how far it is from South Beach and other destinations we had previously inquired about. Not a good experience at all and put a huge damper on our weekend vacation.

    If zero stars was possible...

    So the lobby and the pool area look great...but once you get to your room, if it's anything like the one we got then you'll have a leaking toilet that runs all night long, you'll have AC condensate all over your luggage when you wake up, you hear every noise your neighbors make, and when you ask for anything from the service desk, assuming you've let the phone ring the desk for minutes before they pick up, they'll pretend to acknowledge you yet really ignore anything you say.  And...when you let them know that they have a leaking toilet and a leaking AC, they'll act as if that's normal and we're just irrational to be complaining about that.  Unless you're a masochist...stay away!

    I'd give this place no stars if it was an option!!! We stayed at this hotel because it was close to where we needed to be. Next time I'll do more research. The front desk staff was RUDE! When I called because I accidentally booked for the wrong week, the lady said I'd have to call in the morning after the initial check in date. They said I had to deal with it through Travelocity. Then I had called to add a name to the room. They said they couldn't do anything and told me that I had to deal with Travelocity again.

    Now the room... It was filthy,dingy, moldy and the lampshades, the door, the bathtub, and ceiling panel were covered in rust. The bathtub was disgusting. The lamps didn't work. There was no heat and the room and we spent the night freezing. The beds were saggy and uncomfortable. This place needs a complete overhaul!!

    We checked out after one night of our two night reservation because of the subpar service and the rooms were absolutely disgusting.

    Absolutely a dump!  Do not stay here!  No towels Kleenex tub has someone else's soap with hairs on it!  Room dingy, bed dirty!  When I went down to complain manager spoke very little English and said nothing I can do!  Only two towels for three of us!

    Worst hotel ever, the only way to make you feel welcomed are the guests living in the hotel. AC is broken and don't have any quilt on beds, when I ask for quilt, they just said it is house keeping problem, and they don't responsible for that. The name of this hotel is totally opposite of what it really is. DONT STAY THERE, unless you run out choices

    If I can give zero star, I would give it to this hotel. Front desk staff are rude and they are not helpful.  I asked them to change my bed sheet, It was not clean and looks like house keeper just flip the bed sheet, instead of changing it.. such a lazy... I requested them to change my bed sheet in the morning and they haven't changed it. then I called front desk and asked them my why bed is still haven't changed and the man was like, "I don't know, we don't have house keeping." I was shocked for second and he ignored me. Very disappointed and this will be my last stay with them.  I totally booked wrong hotel.

    Second, Their breakfast sucks, they don't even have bread and tea. all they have is couple of apples, oranges, one choice of cereal (cheap one), and Coffee. I was like what the hexxxx.. was it a breakfast?

    Third, Rooms are smell really bad. I am not making this up. I am writing this in truth of what I have seen. Rooms smell really bad and stinks. Rooms next to us are loud and people were fight at night and It was totally not a vacation for us. also they charge extra for parking and TV was so old, sound shuts off itself while watching.

    Finally, I am writing this review, because I don't want anybody out there to get fool by this hotel. Please don't book at this hotel and Stay away....

    Just checked in after traveling all day long. It's about midnight. Have a 7am flight across the country. We have one hand towel and that's it. They don't have ANY shower towels for us. We'd have to wait until 8am tomorrow morning. Seriously?! AC was blasting when we came in the room. It's freezing. Heater is broken. Cool. Speaking of broken? Oh ya, we just got placed in the last king bed room (we booked two beds but they gave it away), and the key doesn't work. The battery is dead and maintenance isn't here to fix it. The guy had to come up and open the door for us. There is no lock from the inside. Room is disgusting. Ugh!! What a pathetic business. Unbelievable.

    This place is horrible, just like the other reviews said. Don't be fooled by the lobby looks all nice and elegant. Our room was dirty, water was dripping from the ac unit to the floor, the tub was leaking water, there were little bugs stains on the wall. When
    we were going to bed I sprayed the bed with disinfectant spray both me and my fiancé smelled something, after sniffing around it was the bed sheets that smelled like urine. We both slept on top of the clean blanket and was cold for the rest of the night. It was our last day/night here in Miami and it was the worst experience. The located was okay near the mall and restaurants but the parking u have to pay I think it was $8 per day for it at the hotel, which I think is stupid it should be complementary. Never again will I come here I would rather say somewhere else.

    All I can say is that you get what you pay for. We got a deal on this hotel through one of the travel sites, and to be honest I wasn't expecting a lot from this hotel.  It was quite funny, however, because the lobby itself is actually pretty beautiful. It's quite the Miami-style decor, with a pretty cool courtyard with a pool and restaurant in the front. Our room wasn't great, the bed was a bit uncomfortable, and it was quite obvious that the rooms are a bit overworn. I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel to many, but for people who don't mind a not-so-nice-but-cheap place, it might be for you.

    Horrible hotel. Never stay in this hotel.
    I had a really bad experience.
    The minute I walked into the room, I was horrified. AC is leaking on your head, floors are all damaged, scraped. Beds don't even have cover ups. Bathroom is dirty, mold and mildew smell. Ceiling is dusty covered with webs. Overall the place is filthy and dirty, unsanitary for my kids. Sad thing is that they don't care about it or their clients. Had to go and find something else. Travelocity doesn't enclose what kind of rooms they have in this hotel really are. I'm still battling on getting my money back.

    unless I guess you really have no other option WHATSOEVER

    -no soap rack
    -workers who can't really speak English
    -room smelled like chlorine and cigarettes
    -CREEPY GUESTS
    -free wifi doesn't work from room
    -floors weren't cleaned upon check in, likely never ever even cleaned
    -just an uncomfortable & gross- feeling atmosphere
    -paper thin walls (u can hear next room's tv)

    I don't get all the negative reviews here, for a budget hotel they give you a lot for the money. Way above my expectations, don't get why I got two beds when I only needed one. Huge TV screen with working remote offering at least 50 channels. Hardwood floor and wood furniture had a country feel to it, walked barefoot without a problem. Plush artistic carpeting on third floor.

    Booked through hotels.com and got rates at less than $60 a night over the busy Thanksgiving weekend. The all-Hispanic staff was above and beyond polite, someone at the front desk always waved at me when going through the lobby, daily maid service changed towels and made the bed even on Thanksgiving day.

    Beautiful lobby with big glass container full of lemonade, quench your thirst here. Adjoining room with plush sofas surrounding a piano adjacent to front desk. Another room containing several tables is opened during breakfast, which includes coffee, milk, cereal, plus toast and jelly or butter. ATM, computer and brochure rack around the corner from front desk. Glass elevator provides panoramic view of pool and courtyard.

    No need for a car here, South Miami Metrorail/Metrobus station a block away. There you carefully cross US1 at the light, and it's another block to the Sunset Place shops and restaurants.

    Don't have car so can't speak for parking situation. There are parking meters on the curb along SW 71Street by Bank United, South Miami Public Library across from Bank United on Sunset Drive (SW 72nd Street).
