This place did not have a lot of flair, but the staff was helpful, the location was fine, and the room was up to par.  The hotel was right across the street from a grocery store so considering the room had a full kitchen, meals were easy and cheap.  The room also had a desk area, living room, and separate bedroom with a door.  They even gave me a free bag of popcorn.  I would stay here again.

I hated my 3 nights of stay here.  i could not wait for it to end.  The room had a strange smell.  Every time my husband and I came back into the room from the outside, our noses gets runny and congested.  We were totally fine outdoors.  The cleaning lady would not clean our room and stated that the room only allows cleaning once a week which scared me.  I don't know if it was a miscommunication but she spoke very little English and could not understand me.  I would never stay here again.

I am a little disappointed with this visit to Candlewood. The staff is great as usual, but the room is not a clean as I am used to. I found a broken glass in the cabinet that someone tried to hide,  all the dishes needed to be rewashed, it was just kind of a turn off. I even found little bugs in one of the framed art hanging on the wall and some mold growing in another one. Not good.

The pool area is a mess and the umbrella is broken. Seems like guests are really not respectful of the hotel property.

Other than that the staff are great as usual.

I loved this hotel, I stayed there twice on two different occasions. I love the little studio, it had a stove and dishes to make whatever you felt like eating, the people were nice and helpful and not disturbing early in the morning. you know how you stay at a hotel and the next morning all u hear is a knock at your door and some lady screaming 'room service' even though you have late check out. this place was different, they even let me sleep in past check out. OMG I love how they have the room full of snacks and any other things you love, and it is unattended. lol, they expect you to sign a paper with your room number on it, lol but me I just take what I need and go on to my room. never got caught!!!

Stayed here because it was the least expensive option among decent hotels in the area. I'm really not picky cause I dont spend much time in the room, as long as it's clean, I'm good.  Arrived after 11pm when the front desk was closed so they told me my room key was in a locker at the front door and was given the combo, no probs getting it.

Our room was pretty nice, equipped with a full kitchen but only a full size bed for 2.  The room was freezing cold so I tried to turn it down on the unit itself and it wouldn't allow me. Once it reached a preset temp it would shut off then turn back on when it got warmer and when it did, it was so loud it would wake us every night, all night. You could only turn it on and off on the wall but then it would get too stuffy, uggghhhh.

The following day we went to the pool, pretty nice wtih 2 bbqs and tables set up in case you want to stay in and grill and came back in the afternoon to find our room still had not be cleaned. When I called the desk they said that housekeeping only cleans once a week and if you want clean towels, you have to bring your dirty ones to the desk and get new ones....REALLY???!!

Aside from this, there really isnt much to complain about. The hotel itself was clean w/ a courteous staff and it contained a small gym and pantry to buy small stuff and free Wi-fi.  Very close to airport and there were plenty of places to eat around, if you have a car. Would recommend for someone looking for a casual, no frills stay.

Very nice place. I strongly recommend to stay here in miami.stayed for two nights...awesome place.clean, spacious, secure, 10min drive from airport . Wifi was awesome, all new stuff, fully furnished kitchen, sofas,chairs, tv, iron box,fridge, utensils, microwave , electric stove, dish washer,free dryer and washer, just buy 1.50$ powder. Chocolates, coffee,ice creams, snacks, canned food, all available for purchase in first floor in this place no need to go out. Free parking. No shuttle facility to airport.sheets are pretty good n clean. Enough wall points to Charge iphone, iPad, laptop at same time.hassle free quick check in check out.totally loved the place.

The hotel and the room look really nice and the staff at the front desk are nice, however, I had a terrible time here.

The air condition is extremely loud, and impossible to turn off.
The bed was not clean, other than that, I got a dozen bed bug bites!!!!!!
It was horrible...

In short, the air conditioner in the room I was given was infested with mildew. I could smell it the minute I wheeled my luggage into the room. The stench was unbelievable as wave after wave of cold, moldy air blew over me. I immediately shut off the air conditioner in disgust and tried to open the window to clear the air. Unfortunately, it would only open two inches and the thick Miami-area air wasn't inclined to breeze through my suite. I called down to request another room but was told that none were available. I would have left for another hotel on the spot but it was after 11:00 pm and after traveling for 12 hours I didn't have the wherewithal to start hunting around for alternative lodgings. So I dealt with it and the room seemed more or less fine without the air conditioner on.

My first meeting the next day was at 7:00 am and stretched all day at a location with no internet access. Otherwise I would have started hunting for another hotel straight away. I requested the hotel manager call me so I could arrange to change rooms. When she did I was informed that nothing would be available until the next day. She directed me to pack up my luggage and drop it off at the front desk on my way out the next morning and they would relocate me to another room while I was out for the day. Since the room seemed tolerable without the air conditioner on and I was exhausted from jet lag and lack of sleep, I agreed. Foolish, foolish me. While I was out the temperature and humidity in the room had adapted to the outside - 80 degrees and 70% humidity. I had the choice of wallowing in a cool miasma of mildew or sweltering all night in a pool of my own sweat. The next morning, I wheeled my luggage right out the door, intent on finding another hotel. Unfortunately, I was not successful. Everything nearby was booked.

That afternoon, I was forced to return to Candlewood Suites where I was given another room. It seemed fine at first. Judging from the scent of the air being pumped forward, the air conditioner appeared to be mildew free. That is until whatever room deodorizer the maids had poured into the air conditioner had worn off. I was soon faced with the same choice with which I had previously been confronted - swelter or molder. It was about this time that I was hit with sharp abdominal pains indicative of food poisoning (naturally!) I spent the rest of the night and much of the next day alternating between fitful bouts of sleep in sweat soaked sheets or running for the bathroom to battle Montezuma. In the midst of this entire misadventure I am sure I made a great impression on my clients.

The worst part of all this is that while flying home I could smell the Candlewood Suites mildew on my clothes. The moldy odor had infested my wardrobe. If I hadn't felt so terrible from two days of ptomaine, I would have felt even worse for the poor sucker who had to sit next to me as we flew across country.

It's an Average extended stay hotel with just a few drawbacks

Cleaning is only once a week.

Wifi is completely unrealiable.  The service fluctuates wildly in speed and often disconnects you or isn't available.

The cable goes out anytime there is heavy rain. Which is daily in Miami.

This hotel also has no business center, which I find odd for an extended stay hotel. The front desk will print anything you need if you email it to them.

You also need to speak some Spanish or you will need to see the front desk for everything.  The cleaning staff I have asked for towels coffee etc didn't know any English.  

A plus is the hotel has free laundry and a small pantry in you are in a pinch for. Quick meal.  There are plenty of good eats close by

Longhorn steak house, ale house, macaroni grill, hooters, BBQ, etc

The room size was very nice, although the bed made lots of noise, as did the air conditioner. The gentleman at the front desk, Pablo, was very helpful in printing out tickets to a concert for us.
