Hubby and I stayed here 9 days out of the last 21 and have never felt better about any hotel staff.  Everyone from the valet to the check-in person, the goodwill ambassador, food service personnel and housekeeping staff are amazing.  There are things about the hotel that are negatives, such as parking charges and dated rooms with pitiful coffee makers, loud air conditioners and no microwaves.  Not every room needs a microwave, IMO, but there should at least be one on each floor.  We were informed that renovations on guest rooms would begin this year.  Hooray!  The newly renovated lobby is very modern and comfortable with an eating area, flat screens, computer stations, etc.  There  is also a work-out area on the first floor as well as a small restaurant that provides a limited menu for all meals plus beer, wine, Starbucks coffees and snacks.  Love the breakfast choices. There are also vending machines and a microwave available to guests adjacent to the interior of the entrance. I would like to see a free coffee bar available to guests which many other chains provide.  Because of the location, the rates are on the high side.  An important positive for us is that the rooms are as clean as you'll find in a 5 star hotel such as the Hassler in Rome.  I actually did the white glove once over and couldn't find a speck of dust!  Housekeeping deserves some sort of recognition here...seriously!  Also Celeste, the goodwill ambassador was ever present and asked guests if they had any needs or wants not already provided which was an exceptionally nice touch.  Be advised that this building is tucked in among much taller condos, the Marriott across the street and business offices with heavy traffic.  The noise does not convey to the interior of the hotel and it is quite safe as the valets are at the door as is the reception area.  Also, a key is required to access the elevators.  Enjoy your stay and visit the Dadeland Mall just a short walk away.

We always stay here when we visit Miami - as it's convenient to the family we visit here and walking distance to the newly renovated mall and several restaurants.

Valet parking is $11/day with unlimited in/out.  The rooms are always clean and spacious.  The best part is that it is literally across a small street from Publix.  This Publix has a very nice variety of tapas that we always have for at least one breakfast meal.  (different empandas, a few different kinds of croquettas, arepas, guava and cheese pastries, pan de queso, taquenos, etc).  It's my heaven!

Clean, comfortable, close everything you need.  Food,  shopping, transportation. No free breakfast or other frills. They do have a cafe style place to buy food. Its consistent with the Courtyard brand and close to the train.

It's ok.  No particular qualities to recommend staying here.  Rooms are basic.  Air conditioning was overly loud.  Seems to be a common occurrence.  The only reason to really stay here is if you're getting a great rate.  Otherwise it's completely un memorable.

The dadeland mall is within walking distance.  The lobby is pretty nice, I'd rather have a renovated room instead of a shiny new lobby though.

If you turn left onto Dadeland Blvd from 73rd (per Google maps), you won't be able to get to the hotel as of October 2013 due to renovations. Coming from this direction results in an impasse because the entrance is too difficult to u-turn in the middle of the street. In fact, the valet parking blocks a lane, and the police came to tell the hotel they cannot block the street. I noticed later the cones blocking a lane for valet parking were removed.

On low, the air conditioning sounds like a train blowing a horn, and the safety deadbolt did not work. The bathtub slopes inwards so essentially the bathtub doesn't drain. You have to step on the slopes to avoid your feet being covered by water.

Big square decorative pillows are provided for sleeping. I hate sleeping on decorative pillows. I just want normal rectangular pillows. As evidenced by my photo, the room was cramped. You can tell judging by the distance between the bed and sofa.

Other than a greeting, the front desk manager didn't speak during the check in process. He didn't even tell me the room number-just handed me the key. So much for recognizing I'm an elite member.

The only good thing about the hotel is the location. Publix and a Cuban restaurant are within walking distance. In October, the hotel gave a free continental breakfast, but I know this is atypical of Courtyard Marriotts.

I only stayed here for the Marriott mega bonus promotion (stay two times at any Marriott through January 2014, get one night free, up to two nights free). As I've written in other reviews, I'm not a fan of Marriott. It takes 75 nights to reach the highest status level. Add another five nights or so, and I can be the highest status at Hilton, Starwood Preferred Guest, AND Hyatt combined. The only reason to stay at any Marriott chain is for the mega bonus promotion (begins again February 2014), so be sure to sign up!

So it was a little tricky to find, and once I did, I was immediately greeted with my first what the what what? Valet parking. Only. $11/Night. I don't have anything against valet, really I don't but if it's the ONLY option, don't charge for it. So wrong.

The lobby is stunning, modern and cool.

My room was ok - they were touch-up painting it when I arrived, odd, I know. The room had a bit of an "I've got water damage" smell to it, but my nose is super sensitive, so it might not have been too bad. I did have a balcony, which was delightful.

Great restaurants and the Dadeland mall in walking distance, boom!

Friendly staff!! Beautiful new lobby, bistro and gym!!! AMAZING location and walking distance to Dadeland Mall, Publix grocery store, and many restaurants! Rooms were practical and nothing out of this world, but the bed and pillow were really comfortable and the space was not cramped like in a previous review! Some rooms have balcony which can be nice so I would suggest to request for a balcony upon check in if you are a smoker or like to people watch.

Complimentary internet is available and the signal was good enough for me to work off my VPN!!

Bistro food is great for breakfast (I liked my bagel and breakfast burrito) and they serve Starbucks!!! Also they do have a nice dinner selection that is tasty too! I loved the wings, BBQ chicken flatbread , quesadillas and burger!!

Overall pleasant stay and I would highly recommend!

So when it comes to Marriott, I am kind of a snob only because I know the GM of one in Orlando, and she sets high standards for all other Marriott hotels.

The parking is a hassle - there is none, you must valet. BUMMER. The lobby is nice and always clean though, and whenever I go in they are helpful, and friendly.

What is great about this location though, it is close by to Dadeland mall as in walking distance close, as well as having a Publix right next door. As for transportation, metro- rail is a short walking distance.

I start staying here when it's high season, the beach hotels get expensive.  I prefer this to the Marriott across the street, it's just a little more open, more friendly, and the rooms are much larger.  It's also closer to work than the Airport complex.

I have had a suite (with a jacuzzi time machine) and a regular room and I think that the regular room actually is a little better laid out.  Both were clean of course and comfortable.  The hotel is across the street from the Datran building and so getting to the trains normally means going through it.  The escalators in Datran I are out right now so it's actually easier to just walk around on the street level.

I like staying in the Dadeland mall area because there are a ton of options for dining plus I don't have to drive.  Parking in Miami is expensive wherever you go (it's nothing compared to Chicago), so it's just easier to take the train, if that's an option.  I wish there were a Residence Inn in this area, that would be pretty nice too.

Everyone here is friendly and helpful too.  Outdoor pool is nice and pretty secluded.
