Very nice hotel, very clean and friendly staff, have been here for several times for business meetings and it's been great.

This is the first time I stay at this hotel. Normally on week long visits to Miami for work I stay at a Marriott Residence Inn but this time it was fully booked so I stayed at this place which is right around the corner from my office in Miami.

Lets start from the bottom:
Lobby is nice and simple. Nothing extraordinary, just your simple business traveller hotel lobby. It has a large area with couches to watch television and the restaurant is adjacent to it.

Restaurant sucks. The food is of extremely poor quality. Greasy and bland. Most of it is the type that is already prepackaged and put through a convection or toaster oven for rapid heating. It seems that the restaurant is associated with Starbucks. The coffee is of said brand and the employees there are dressed like your typical Starbucks barista. Not even sure if I should call this a restaurant or a fast food place. I mean, you place your order and pay at a counter like McDonald's, then they bring you the food to your table. Its more like a Carl's Jr. I guess. This same place has beer and wine in the evening.

The rooms are very new and designed in a modern fashion. Not your typical Holiday Inn room. Even though the room is small, its laid out in a fashion that makes you feel at home. Bed was very comfy. Couch was cool to relax and watch TV. Internet access was fast too. Didn't use the coffee maker but its available in the room. The iron works well. Didn't try the hair dryer. Toilet was nice and never backed up.

One negative side to the location of this hotel is that in the evening, you have to travel a great distance in order to get to a restaurant for dinner. There is nothing open nearby at night. On the flip side, its conveniently located super close to my office.

All in all, the place is nice. Very new. Very clean. Very polite. Far from anything fun. Poor food.

I probably wont stay here again unless really necessary. I need a hotel that is located near lively night places.

I agree with Andy S's comment about the restaurant sucks. the service was very bad, the waitresses were both rude and treated me and my wife with no profressionalism at all. Just because i'm on vacation and i dress up like in shorts and tanks they assume we not worth the effort to talk nicely. I asked them about an item on the menu and one of them is like "what you say?"...kidding me? At least the right thing to say is "I'm sorry, could you please repeat that" or something.

The hotel itself is way too far from anything...miami beach and airports. It's a nice new hotel but if the service is this bad i'm sure it will not be getting much business.

This hotel has gotten some bad reviews so far! Here are some of the positives of this hotel:

-Nice decor in the lobby. The staff members were very polite and helpful.
-The rooms were nicely decorated as well, and the beds were comfortable.
-Room service was very attentive to details as well. In the last three weeks, stayed at four hotels, and this was definitely the best.
-The location is a major drawback though. However, it is right next the turn pike, so everything is literally 25-30 minutes away. We had rented a Prius, so it wasn't a big deal at all.

For the rate that I was able to obtain, it was a great deal for me.

I would come back here again.

Courtyards are one of my favorite go-to hotel chains.  The one was no exception, clean room, nice modern decor, spacious, friendly staff, well priced, and an overall great experience.

What a great hotel. I recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip. I unfortunately checked in at the wee-hours of the morning, but found the hotel room and beds to be comfy. The bathroom was very spacious and the view was phenomenal! They give you a variety (2-3) types of pillows to choose from. Yeah, once you lay down in one of the beds, you dont want to get up the next morning!! Hotel staff was very friendly. Heads up on getting the shuttle from the hotel to the airport. Some colleagues said that they had to wait for quite some time for the shuttle to arrive.

This hotel located right by exit of Florida/Tpke and since it is not of walking distances to local shops and restaurants you definitely need a car to get around, unless you use a taxi for that purpose. This one is recently built most likely - very clean, nice. Front desk lady was very polite and helpful. Check-in probably took a minute maybe. There is  huge touch screen interactive information monitor, free wired internet access computers with printer located on first floor  which is very useful if you need to print something. Free WiFi is available as well. We stayed 4nights - very enjoyable relaxed time. Definitely will consider this location next time in Miami

Just came back from Miami and we had an excellent stay at this Marriott. For me the location was perfect, away from everything and no traffic and noise. It's about 30 minutes from Downtown Miami and that's where I want to be, away from chaos. The Dolphin Mall is only about 10 minutes away off the Turnpike. This hotel is literally right off the exit so it is very convenient.
The hotel is very clean and the staff was very nice and professional. Our room was spacious and clean. The pool area is nice and it has many chairs and sofas to lounge and have a quiet evening. The reason it gets 4 stars and not 5 is the rate. I understand that's a corporate decision but I feel it's a bit high considering the location.
It has a Starbucks and limited breakfast and sandwich options. It is not a restaurant, its more like snacks. We had breakfast one morning and for us it was as good as can be expected. We will return to this Marriott next time we go to Miami.

Second stay at this location. I spoke to staff about the previous issue with noisy housekeeping and was given an upgrade to an amazingly silent suite and late checkout. Not a peep was heard all morning. Thumbs up!

Best hotel to stay at when you have a rental car. It's a trip, but very clean, comfortable and luxe. I'll probably end up staying here each time just because of the experience. They have a shuttle that will take you and pick you up from basically anywhere you ask them to. Definitely recommend staying here.

RUDE. After asking me how she can help me, front desk rep interrupts me before my sentence is over and puts me on hold abruptly. She also continued to be rude by acting like I was wasting her time and continuously replying to me with an impatient "I don't know." I wouldn't reserve here at all based on this experience.

Stayed at this hotel in a recent trip to Miami.  I was very pleased with the rate I received.  The staff was quite helpful and friendly.  The rooms were of typical Marriott quality.  Everything I encountered during that weekend was a Win win.  next time I am in the Miami area, I will consider this location again.

The family and I stayed at this hotel.  It was a "free" stay for us.  We earned a certificate for a free stay because we had 2 stays in a Marriott Hotel 11 months ago.  We needed to use the certificate before the certificate expired at the 12 month mark.  My wife chose this hotel because she believed the reviews that she saw on Tripadvisor and because it was a newer hotel.

The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere in west Miami.  It is located right off the Turnpike.  The area was very industrial.  Although the address was Miami, I didn't feel like I was close to Miami.  Miami Beach is about 40 mintues away.

We stayed for one night.  The woman at the front desk was nice to us upon our arrival.  She greeted us, and told us that she gave us one of her best rooms.  When we told her that we planned on going to Miami Beach for dinner, she tried to convince us to go somewhere else because of the long drive.

The room itself was okay.  It was nice and clean.  Our room had 2 queen beds.  There was nothing memorable about the hotel.  It wasn't exceptional, nor was it a dump.  It gave us a good nights sleep.  Free wifi is available.

There is a restaurant in the lobby, but, after seeing some of the Yelp reviews, I decided not to get my breakfast here.  Instead, I drove about 10 minutes to the local Dennys.

The Courtyard Miami West Hotel is an A-OK place.  It is nice and clean.  It gave me a few good hours of sleep.  If in the area, I could stay here again, if the Miami Beach doesn't call my name.

Nice hotel. I found this to be central to activities that I done all week since checking in Saturday.  And even though it got pretty booked. Because I needed to extend my stay a day because Newark airport cancelled flights for the day. Marriott made it simple to extend my stay at cooperate rate. So that was good.
Price is comparison to other Marriott hotel near by. Closer to Miami beach the more you pay.  This place is cooperation classy.
The bistro here in hotel is very nice. Largest breakfast sandwich I've ever seen. They have enough choices for every one. There is no continental breakfast at all. So be prepared to pay for everything.

Here is my  2 cents on my 1 night stay at Courtyard Miami West, Doral, Florida. A Friday night in the month of May.

I had an outstanding stay. The General Manager, Mellissa Benoit was able to fill my request of checking in early and out. The place was beautifully  decorated. It appeared spotlessly clean. All of the staff gave me a friendly hellos.  The main reception desk personnel were bright and cheery. Everyone had a wonderful attitude with a great big smile.
Though it was a small property there was a pool, a patio with a BBQ available and tables/chairs to lounge around if desire. A office workspace. Also a manned dining area to purchase drinks and food..
My room was excellent. House keeping did a perfect job. All corners were dust free , mirrors spotless. A/C was set just right. I found the design and decor very inviting and restful. Darkout curtains did its job. Over all a rating of A+. I definitely recommend this place and would use it it again.
