If there were an option to give ZERO stars, I would have.  DO NOT STAY HERE (for all of the reasons listed in the previous reviews, and plenty more).  It is worth the extra money to go elsewhere.

This hotel was a dump.  It smelled.  The front office staff looked like they slept in their clothes.  I wouldn't even take a shower in the bathroom because it was so disgusting.  We stayed one night and left to go to another hotel.  The concierge or what he called himself was not knowledgeable.  Giving this establishment one star is being generous.

I travel a lot and this hotel/motel definitely makes my top 10 list of the worst places to stay. The room was dingy, lamps did not work, the bathroom had stains, and there were probably some bed bugs.

Our first day there I went to iron my clothes, and blew the power in the entire room. I reported this to the front desk and they did not fix the issue for 4 hours! The next night I woke up to a noise at 3AM that sounded like a jack hammer drill coming from inside my bathroom. The next day I asked for a different room, they were unable to accommodate me because the hotel was sold out. They told me to call the next day around 1 PM when people were checking out and maybe they'd be able to switch my room.

Our last couple nights there, the people next to us were having a party, we called to complain, but the staff did nothing about the excessive noise. Every morning I was greeted by the housekeeping staff talking very loudly to each other in the hall because the walls were paper thin.

A very crappy hotel and if I would have had a choice I would have left the 2nd day I was there, unfortunately my company had made the reservations and I had to suffer through it.

I'd like to give this one zero stars as I see many of my fellow yelpers would too....

The dreadful experience......

What a complete dump pretty much sums it up. It's Oceanside but it's a run down lousy dump. The place is old and decrepit. The rooms were disgusting. It's only redeeming quality was that there was a bar in the hotel, and it was a crap hole bar at that. The pool looked disgusting as well and there were a bunch of people in it all the time so I never went in.

The front desk staff was incredibly rude. We stayed there for four nights and were charged for every little extra you could think of (i.e. parking, refrigerator in room, etc.). Also, we always kept our room locked and I noticed that I had a pair of jeans missing when we left. I told the people at the front desk and they said we will look for them and call you if you leave your business card so I did. I never received a call. I called the GM and he checked with his staff and then said there was nothing he could do. This was ridiculous.

I called Days Inn Corporate to report this behavior and they said would get back to me in three days and I never received a call back. Ridiulous! Never will stay in a Days Inn again.

What a crappy hotel, next time I'll spend a bit more money and stay somewhere else.....

I gave this hotel 3 stars I wanted to give it 2 though...

Lets start by saying the bad things;

1. Bar tender outside by the pool in the tiki-bar is extremely rude and mean, I asked if the pool was cold and she said well why don't you figure it out yourself and she rolled her eyes. Also she dresses like a hooker with ripped stockings and half-naked. She is also half the time never there while the tiki bar is still open. If I was the manager of this hotel I would fire her.

2. If your looking to spend the money to get a ocean side view DON'T because you can't even open the windows to get the nice ocean smell. Don't get me wrong though the view is actually really nice.

3. The TV I had in my room was a stoneage tv just saying even though I was not even in the room for a hour I was out enjoying miami and the beach.

The good things about this hotel:

1. Excellent staff (except the bar tender at the tiki bar

2. Extremely friendly people even the Jewish people were and they invited me to there sader

3. Clean rooms

4. Nice pool

5. Perfect view

I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel.  Both of our rooms had dirty bathrooms - I'm talking gray and brown spots on the floor that could easily be wiped up, holes in the walls, I felt like I should wear flips in there.

The crappy elevators not only skipped floors regularly (I'm sorry floors 4 and 5) but the doors didn't always open, after the first couple times I realized you had to pull the doors apart a bit to help them along.

My bedding (1st room) had a cigarette hole burned in it. The housekeeping staff didn't replace stuff (we called for coffee, towels and cups).  I will admit the front desk responded quickly to complaints - I think the guy who came to unplug our sink (another thing not addressed by housekeeping) showed up in under 10 minutes, and the guy who came to assess our leaking bathroom was the same.

The rooms we stayed in smelled like stale smoke even though they were non-smoking rooms.  The place has no gym, and no agreement to let their patrons use a gym nearby.

I'm really disappointed with my stay, we paid $159 a night and it's easily the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in.

Never - Ever - Ever stay here.  If you want to have a good time and want service and a clean and safe place - This is not the place -  If you want to save a few bucks (or think you could save a few bucks - you won't - NOTHING WORS HERE!  Especially the staff - If you want rude service (of the Non-english speaking variety ) , elevators that dont work, safes that don't work, dirty rooms, over priced, NO PARKING -  BE AFRAID   BE VERY AFRAID.   O h yeah - they give you a nice goodbye and overcharge your credit card when you leave also.

The bad:
The bathroom has mold on the ceiling.
The caulking around the tub is dry rotted away and full of mold as well.
The faucets in the tub and sink must be original, both leak and are nearly impossible to turn any more.
The throne already had someone else's tracks in it.
The curtain backings are rotted, allowing random spots of sunshine to pierce through.
The damp, dark, dingy cafe allows smoking, and since I am allergic, I couldn't eat in there.
Both chairs in my room have period blood stains and other stains on them.
No fridge or microwave in room, or anywhere for that matter.
Parking is $30 a day, and is a couple buildings away.
Lots of noise from the hallway, plus the door is rather loose and rattles often.
No shuttle service.
That elevator.... Let's just say it has quite the personality of its own.

The good:
The AC works well and blows cold.
Got a decent price.
Located on the beach.

When you pull in front of the main lobby, you go up a steep and narrow driveway so you may have to park in the front of the building on the street to sign in.  Once inside the lobby, you think you're staying at a luxury hotel for a Days Inn.  It's very fancy and clean.  But once you step on the elevator that all changes.  It's as slow as the Seven Year Itch.  Once you get to your floor, the place is on the dumpy side.  Our room was spacious, however, it was quite dated and the bathroom and it's fixtures were in desperate need of new everything.  It was a decent place but don't let the fancy lobby fool you!  You have to park in a garage across the street that will cost you 20 dollars.  There is complimentary coffee in the rooms and in the lobby.  Coffee is good!

I read a ton of reviews before deciding whether to stay here or not and even with all the mixes reviews, i decided to stay and i didn't regret it. We stayed july1st-july5th 2012

THE HOTEL NEEDS WORK. asap.
the lobby is surprisingly beautiful, very clean and modern. The elevator is comic, the floor indicator light skips floors and sometimes stays on 6 for like 3 minutes and then just JUMPS to the first floor. it makes loud noises and takes a while to arrive but it got me up and down for 3 days so DEAL WITH IT. The halls are plain and the room doors are all dinged up and ugly, but they ope, close and lock SO DEAL WITH IT.

The room.
we got a king room with an ocean view and thats what made the WHOLE DAMN THING WORTH IT!!! (i'll post a picture) There were broken floor tiles in the bathroom and everything's kinda old but it's all pretty clean so DEAL WITH IT. the bed's comfy and the furniture is nice. no spots on the carpet, walls, drapes and SPECIALLY nothing on the sheets.

The outside
the pool deck was cool, nice landscape, and the palm trees provide nice shade. THE POOL BAR is horrible!!! we got a strawberry daiquiri and a pina and they were not up to my standards, the bar is literally falling apart, check out the fish tank, and expensive too. The pool was ok but say away from the edges because the dirty water is collected in there and its GROSS!!!!!!! but at least the pool is open till wee hrs of the morning. The beach outside the hotel is amazing, there are beach chair rentals ($30 for 2 chairs and a sun umbrella) & jet-ski rentals.

They def need to renovate but they must be doing something right because i actually would come back again.

TIPS: BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS because the ones they provide are like sand paper, they hurt your skin, even more if its sensitive from being in the sun. AND PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER TOO because they have that cheap shit that rips and clings-YUCK!  
PARKING across the st is not too expensive, $26 after 16 hrs or parking.

Meet me at the hotel room..er, no!

Don't get me wrong, this Days Inn  fulfilled its role as a crash pad after a very "wet" Sleepless Night. I was able to find a decent online rate in one of the hotels that had rooms available on the very late date In decided to make it a staycation on the beach. My bed was comfortable, the A/C cold and I liked the fact the bathroom had a massaging shower head.

However, this would not be the place where Pitbull would take his first class girls. For starters, the elevator takes too long for only a 10 story building. You can hear the motor kicking in for the piston to go up, and didn't stop evenly on my floor. At one point the door got semi-stuck at the lobby, and myself and another passenger had to manually open it. The outlet cover in the bathroom was also visibly loose, and there wasn't a complementary buffet (charging $10) as has been my experience with these types of hotels.

All in all, an averagely decent place to crash out.

This is by far the worst hotel i ever stayed at the only nice person that worked their was the door men and the coffee guy. I would never stay their the house keeper does a  crappy job cleaning it the rooms smell and thetvs dont even work and their where bed bugs their also when i complained they didnt care what i had to say.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days. Worst experience ever. The room was bad, they had no service and BEWARE of parking. Everyday I had to wake up at 6:30am to go pay the parking meter. Some of my belongings were also stolen from the hotel premises. This is the worst hotel I stayed in my life.The location is close to nothing. All the parties are in South Beach. This is the worst location. You end up taking the taxi which becomes very expensive. Do not stay at this hotel if you are going to Miami to party or have a good time. They CHARGE YOU EXTRA $10 everyday for NO REASON.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. A motel 6 would have been a better option. I will never stay at a Days Inn for as long as I live. This place needs to be teared down and rebuilt because the rooms are really awful. Bad plumbing, broken fixtures in room, smelly carpets, cockroaches everywhere, bathrooms are old, staff is incompetent and could care less about their guests, no parking anywhere near the hotel, thin walls, previous guests hair everywhere, yellow water coming out of faucets.

Staying at this hotel for a week with my daughter which I paid for my credit card rewards.  

There was a lot of construction work being done around the hotel at the time of my arrival (11:00pm) from the airport. Parking was impossible and the $26 a day parking offered by the hotel were all taken. So I resorted to the parking garage across the street.

The staff was friendly but the first room they put us in had no air conditioning and it crappy.  They said they were going to send a maintenance person to address the problem.  I called back requesting a room change considering how late it was and how tired we were. So they placed us in a second room.

The AC Was working fine - room was motel like.

Pool didn't look clean. Have to to pay 12 bucks for breakfast.  Considering it didn't cost me anything, I was ok with it.

Don't waste your money. You have to park in a garage across the road for $25 a night! The rooms are sub par, the hallways smelled, no breakfast, wifi was worthless, showers didn't drain and had mildew.

You're better off staying somewhere else!

This doesn't even deserve a star. Worst hotel experience ever. The rooms smelled horrible, we didn't have water for an entire day and the phone didn't work. Told hotel staff the phone wasn't working and all they did was stare in my face and shrugged their shoulders.

Never staying here again.

What we experienced in 4 days
-Lamp in our room was broken
-Toilet waters were Yellow
-Carpet smells awful
-Hairs left in beds from previous guests
-Bar was flooded with water
-Bedroom was flooded
-Hotel Water was shut off for several hours
-No parking available
-Roaches crawling on bar by the pool
-Fleas in room
-Housekeeping left pubic hairs on mirrors after cleaning room
-Phone volume didn't work staff didn't care

Do not stay here unless you want your vacation ruined. This place is a total dump. The staff is horrible. The rooms are even worse.
The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors getting it on. Or they can hear you. Lol!!!
The rooms smell like wet dog.
Our billing was messed up at checkout and the staff really doesn't care about anything.
The price per night is nice but trust me you want to pay an extra $40 and stay somewhere else.

Where do I even begin? This was a complete nightmare experience and the staff was not friendly at all!

Complaint bulletpoints
-sheets ripped and dirty (hair from other customers on pillows)
-water went our for hours without notice (no shower or toilets!!)
-parking was unorganized and a hassle and $30.00 a night and they still made us call every time just to get entry to the parking
-piping broke and flooded the rooms which made the room smell like a sewer!!
-front desk clerk was disorganized and didn't handle the check in process properly key kept deactivating because of the confusion we had to keep getting new cards
-when we complained about the sewer smelling toilet carpet smelling soaked floors they blamed us for everything!!
-wait, it gets worse!! The staff kept on coming into the room to check on the wet carpets without knocking prior to entry.

My job consists of constantly traveling on business and in the 5 years plus in my profession I have never experienced an experience this terrible.

I highly advise you never stay here. They couldn't pay me enough to come back here again that's for sure!

First off, this is not a resort. It is not a spa, it is not a 4 or 5 star hotel so don't expect plush towels and the latest furniture and accessories.

This is an old high rise Days Inn motel in the sky, which, if you are lucky, may provide you with some amazing views. But who goes to Miami Beach to stay in the room???

The bad:

*It is an older room, think 1980s decoration. However, it did have a modern flat screen TV.
*The walls are a little thin so if you are a light sleeper, maybe not the best place. *WiFi is not so hot the higher up you are.
*There is no parking except that at some place across the street for like $28 a day.

The good:

*It was a very LARGE room with a walk in closet. Maybe these were studio apartments back in the day.
*I had asked for an ocean view room on a high floor and I got what I asked for. *The bed was comfortable and clean, no complaints. The bathroom was a little small but again, I don't go on vacation to spend a lot of time in the bathroom.
*The room itself was VERY spacious.
*The LOCATION is excellent! Close to the beach, walking distance to Miami Beach businesses.
*GREAT view (if you ask for it and get it)

My advice:

1. Book EARLY!!! I got a $242 room for $72 by booking 5 months in advance on the daysinn website. Do it! You will feel this is a GREAT value compared to a rip off. It does not feel like a $200 room.

2. Bring your confirmation with the price you booked the room for. They tried to charge me $242 when I checked in but once I furnished proof, they gladly gave me the quoted rate (after expressing incredulity at the rate).

3. If you are able to walk and DO have a car, park at the Miami Beach City Parking lot at Sheridan Ave and W. 42nd St - it's $8 a day and just a 10-15 minute walk from the property. If you are staying at a Days Inn in Miami Beach like I was, I am thinking this $20 saving may mean something to you and the little walk was actually pleasant.

I did not spend a lot of time at the hotel amenities (pool/beach), it was unfortunate that I was there during a very brisk odd cold spell but over all this place is AVERAGE and if you can get an ocean view for under $150, it is not bad.

Again, if you are the kind of diva that wants plush amenities and baby butt soft towels, why the heck are you entertaining staying at a Days Inn???
