As others may have mentioned..1 Star because I am forced to select at least one. This is the yuckiest hotel I have ever been to. The worst of all is the receptionist. That lousy Ba****d has no idea what "Customer Friendly' means. Leave alone friendly...he talks to you as though he's doing you a favor by giving a room. There's a gaming zone that has some crappy video games and a pool table (which was not working). When I asked him about the pool table, he was so rude to me when he told it was not working. I felt like giving one tight slap across his dirty face. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place to even my worst enemy.

My wife and I stayed here for one night on a layover to the Turks & Caicos Islands.

First, I only gave it one star because it couldn't give it less than one. This was such a horrible experience, I will never stay at a Days Inn again. We chose this hotel because it was listed as being only 2.1 miles from the Miami airport... Yeah, if you drive across the runway!

We also picked this hotel because it advertised a free airport shuttle.  I called using the courtesy phone and the person who answered said he would send the driver over immediately. After 30 minutes of stand out in the heat and humidity, we called again.  This time the driver was there in about 15 minutes.  

The ride took about 10 minutes, but driving distance I would say it was about 5 miles and it was near the end of the runway, so we got to listen to planes taking off all night.

After checking in we walked to our room past several smoking rooms (each room had a sign smoking or non-smoking), the entire hallway wreaked of cigarettes.  Our room was small and smelled really bad... like mold.  The furniture looked really old and worn out.  So bad that I didn't want to set any of my clothing on it.  

The same goes for the carpet, I wouldn't even walk around in socks, I put shoes on to go to the bathroom. Hell, I wouldn't let my dog (if I had one) do the "butt scoot" on this carpet!

The restaurant attached to the hotel was a ghost town, and looked like they offered over priced burgers and similar stuff.  We decided to see what was around the hotel. The only thing in reasonable walking distance was a gas station with a small convenience mart attached.  We bought a six pack of beer and went back to the room.

Through the evening flyers for various take out places kept appearing under the door (about 5 total).  We elected to call Domino's Pizza whose phone number was on the room key!  It was not my favorite, but at least you know what you are getting.

In summary this is the grossest hotel I have ever stayed in and will never patronize Days Inn again as a result.  I'd rather sleep in the airport than stay here again!

Room is tolerable...price is budget friendly, but floors are dirty, beds have some type of bug that bites, bathroom has no ventilation, some of the towels had stains, service is not the best(Jorge was the worst)...wouldn't stay here again...worst hotel experience ever.

My friend who shared the room with me asked me to put a one star review so I decided to take the average. We ordered delivery food and to eat it we called the front desk to ask for utensils. The clerk hurriedly told her he'd have to call her back in a few minutes then never did. So no coffee and no utensils. Again, get what you pay for.

I don't understand why these reviews are so harsh. I've stayed here a numerous amount of times because you really can't beat the price. It's maybe a 5-7 minute drive to the airport. There's also a FREE shuttle to MIA every 30 min (I've never needed it, so not sure how well it runs). This hotel really isn't that bad. It's no where near a 4-5 star Hotel.. But it has some positives to it.

- Safe
- Free parking
- Free Wi-Fi
- Close to airport ( as mentioned )
- Free Shuttle ( as mentioned )
- Friendly front-desk w/ the exception of one guy
- Decent amount of channels on television
- Affordable
- Some units have microwave/mini-fridge
- Decent pool
- Good size rooms
- Restaurant
- Game room
- Vending machines

I really can't say too bad about this hotel. As long as you're not super-picky, it's not bad for the price..

My family and stayed at this hotel this past weekend. **DO NOT STAY HERE** DO NOT IGNORE THIS REVIEW!!! When we got here, I was a little thrown off by the overall appearance and condition of the hotel. I was very displeased. Once we arrived in the room, I noticed the duvet covers were dirty, however, there were blankets in the drawers. The food in the restaurant downstairs was horrible. On Saturday night, the water was apparently shut off by nearby construction. While I can understand this is not the hotel's fault, they never notified ANYONE that the water was off. We found out Sunday morning when we "really" needed to use the toilet. I called downstairs and the front desk employee was so rude as to tell me "she was not there when it happened, so there was nothing she could do about it". No I am sorry or anything. So, if you think you will at least consider this place for a bed and shower...think twice. The hotel says Days Inn Airport...and by airport, it is Airport! You can feel the windows shaking as each plane takes off from the Miami airport every few minutes. So much for a restful night of sleep. I never received any sort of apology for the inconveniences and in fact, I was told if I did not check out by 12 I would be charged another night. Really? Oh and the ironing board holder fell off the wall, not that you could use an iron that is literally tied down to the board so no one steals it.

There was a couple in the lobby that shared my sentiments. I urge you to consider somewhere else. We travel down to this area a lot and depend on reviews to help me find a decent place. Some I take with a grain of salt...please do not!!!

P.S. I got the email address for the general manager, but I figure what is the use...$300 for two nights down the drain.

If I could, I would give this place ZERO stars. When booking this "hotel" I wasn't expecting Four Seasons quality, but I was expecting SOMETHING. Other Days Inn locations I've stayed in were moderately priced, provided basic needs, and were pleasant experiences. It has been the stay from hell to say the least.

I called ahead of my trip to confirm that there was in fact a shuttle that takes us to and from the airport. Yes, there was, and shuttle service stopped at 1:30am. Our flight arrived around 12:30am, which is when I then called the hotel to let them know we were HEADED to baggage claim and needed to be instructed on where to meet the shuttle. When we went to meet the shuttle, after 20 minutes of waiting another hotel shuttle told us that our shuttle basically did a slight stop and roll when they didn't see us and just left because his shift was almost over.

I mean, I understand if the guy was tired, but I'm irritated that we waited and were told someone would come pick us up. So we paid another hotel shuttle to take us.

Room service hasn't cleaned our room one time. I've been here for 4 days.

When I ask the front desk any questions, (& this is the late night front desk guy, older, Caucasian, miserable. ) I get a rude and cold answer. My first night here I asked if there was any open fast food places, his response "You could forget it."

All of that I could deal with. BUT last night, after coming in around 4am this is what prompted me to write a review.

We came in, tired as hell and ready to crash after a long day downtown in Miami. Our room key wasn't working...hmm...so I go to the front to get a new key. Same miserable guy. He was currently dealing with another group of people who couldn't get into their room, I asked them what happened and they said they WON'T be let in their room to get their stuff or to sleep because they didn't pay in full yet. Mind you they already put down a $120 deposit, and weren't checking out until Tuesday. My response "Damn, wtf." Little did I know when they were done I too would have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM. He was persistent about not letting us in, wouldn't do anything unless we paid up front right there, at 4am. Half awake. BULLSHIT. Nowhere did it say that we had to pay the 3rd night in full of our 5 night stay. I don't have any issues with paying but this guy was just scandalous. My phone was dead, didn't have my card on me, it was in my room. Luckily my half asleep/half drunk friend was able to pay it up front.

The front desk guys response "Deal with it."

If you didn't read all of that, or just don't feel like it....FUCK THIS PLACE, DONT STAY HERE. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY IN A HOSTEL!!!!!!!!! A BROTHEL!!!! ANYTHING IS BETTER THEN HERE!!!

Close to the airport and parking is closed off to non-guests. They put a fridge in my room which is great while I'm looking for a place to move into. Free wi-fi which sometimes has problems.

Not the place for me. It was too far from SOBE, where all the parties were. We didn't realize that it was THAT far away. Reception was friendly. Rooms weren't clean at all. Shower was clogged. Annoying that menus kept popping into our room daily.

I was really nervous to book this place after reading some negative reviews online. I primarily picked this place because it was a decent cost and has a parking lot. I definitely don't feel like site seeing in Miami and then having to find a parking spot on the street somewhere after a long day. This hotel looks sketchy and rundown from the outside...and most of the inside too. The elevators seem really old, but they got us there each time. The room was surprisingly pleasant. It was a decent size and seemed clean. We never saw any kind of bug or rodent in our 3 day stay. The hotel is pretty conveniently located, right next to the airport and about 10 minutes to Little Havana and 20 minutes to Bayside. Someone had commented on a review about the planes and you do sometimes hear them, but you don't hear every single plane that goes by. We heard a plane about once every two hours. When you're in your room you hear it a bit but one never woke us up or anything. Overall if you're looking for a cheap place to stay with some onsite parking this hotel is a good bet.

Never Again - Shuttle passes you by at Airport. you call the hotel and no apologies, so you wait another half hour. Oh yeah shuttle was full....right! The front desk person, Naris, was rude and said she was cancelling my reservation because i insisted that they call the driver to come back and get me. Waited a whole hour.

You arrive at the Hotel, exterior funky, sketchy, and almost ghetto-like. i grew up in the hood, so I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but loud and tacky was the vibe, with rude service. Naris was rude and said she would uncancel my reservation. Hey your supposed to be pleasant and understanding when the customer is unhappy about the service, even if there is nothing you can do.

Room was funky, old, and smelled of generic cleaning chemicals they use to clean funky hotels.  Partying all night on my floor, and yes you could hear it. you think Days Inn would be of better quality, but not. And it wasn't the cheapest hotel either at the airport.

So holy cow this place is not very nice. Stayed over one night before I left on a cruise with my mother. It was very divey. The people were very nice which is why I didn't pull the "one star" out on them. The restaurant attaches is a Hooters-esque dive with waitresses in tiny shorts and food that's not even edible. I would not recommend this hotel, even though the price is right....Sometimes it's worth a couple extra bucks to not see what I saw.

As others have said the lobby/hallways are extremely off putting.  I don't remember what we paid for the room so I cannot comment on the value.  The room itself was fine if you're not expecting anything more than the bare minimum.  The beds are fine, the sheets looked okay.  The bathroom was clean and supplied with decent soap/shampoo.  We came late at night and left really early in the morning, so for our needs, the room served its purpose.

The worst hotel/motel experience ever. Besides the subpar rooms and service, their reservation and billing system is a total mess. We were there as a group in  February 2014. First, they could not find our reservation with our credit card information. Then we used another credit card instead and paid for the cost of two-nights stay using this credit card. A month later, our credit card which was originally used to make the reservation was charged for more that $400 AGAIN. In the meantime, many of our friends who also used credit cards in this hotel found out their credit card information was stolen and used somewhere else without authorization. We are still in the process of disputing this unauthorized charge with the credit card company.

We stayed here because we had a layover and needed something cheap and close. I guess you get what you pay for.

I felt like I was in the kind of cheap motel where Dexter would stalk one of his victims. We had to walk through the parking lot to get to our room. There was an outdoor pool which was kind of hard to find. Free wifi. The room was nothing special. No fridge which was annoying. The TV had an average amount of channels but the picture would sometimes cut out. I saw stains on the sheets. The bath looked kind of gross. There was a tiny soap, shampoo, and bath cap provided.
The only good thing about this place (and the only reason to stay here) is the price and the free airport shuttle. It came within 15 minutes of us calling and left every hour in the morning, with no need to book.

We checked out the hotel "restaurant" which looked like a sad deserted deli (sandwiches, wings, soup, etc). And the bar, which reeked of smoke, and again, looked like the type of place where Dexter could make someone go missing without a problem. They advertised 2 for 1 happy hour drinks and karaoke night, so that's cool I guess.

The staff was not very friendly. Here's an example of an exchange: "Hey where can we get a Cuban sandwich around here?" "Uh, there's a diner about 4 blocks that way." "Is it good?" "No idea." "Is it open?" "No idea." "What's it called?" "No idea." He also told us it would be a $30 cab ride to a place we had yelped that said it was 2.5 miles away.

We walked a while and never found that diner (or it was closed), or any other place that sells Cuban sandwiches within walking distance. There's a Peruvian place, a Honduran place, and a generic central american place. We ended up going back to the room and ordering from a place that had shoved a flyer under our door and it was expensive, disgusting and took 40 minutes. As a consequence, my friend and I are now contemplating a juice cleanse.

We were lulled to sleep by the sound of airplanes taking off (in the night sky like shooting stars).

Only stay here if you need to, and don't get your hopes up.

Airport pickup was decent. 5 minute wait. Checkin: couldn't find our reservation..Thank goodness I had a copy of the email. The room was musty smelling. ROOM 405. The TV reception was terrible as was the wifi connection. The bar reeked of cigarette smoke...and the bartender was more concerned about checking Facebook than serving customers. The neighborhood is sketchy. But on the positive side. There's a great Peruvian Restaurant 2 blocks away. And the breakfast is good. The cruise package is a good deal...otherwise....skip it.

If there was ever a time that marketing did its job, it would be on this campaign. 2 stars? Oh hell now. The hotel is very old and it feels like it to the bone. Dirty rooms, dirty lobby, dirty bar, just massive concerns. Do not drop anything and pick it up to eat. 3 second rule should not apply unless oral herpes is on your bucket list. The beds are ok but the pillows feel like they were stuffed with shredded newspaper. The electrical outlets are so old that my MacAir charger does not work anywhere. Lastly, the clientele is a concern. Very dodgy. I know I sound like a princess but this joint is a dump. Do not stay! For an extra $40 per night, you will thank me later.

The best thing from here is the free wifi and that have a restaurant so you can get food fast and didnt drive. I stayed for 3 or 4 nights usually.

Now, Now, I know that I stayed at a Days Inn  but I have stayed at a many a Days Inn and haven't been unimpressed with the hotel quite as much as this location. I arrived on a Thursday night at the airport and was pleasantly surprised that shortly after I called for their free shuttle service that the van arrived to take me to the hotel.

Upon entering the hotel lobby I immediately realized that this was a little bit lower on the quality scale that is associated with Days Inns.There was one person working at the front desk and he was very over worked checking us all in while answering phones and the whole process took way to long. When I got to my room I was taken back by the outdated fixtures, worn out bathroom, and then when I tried to use the iron and ironing board it was like a puzzle because the iron was attached so inconveniently to the ironing board.

I am somewhat health conscious when I travel and therefore had made a small dinner for myself to eat at the hotel but in my haste had forgotten a fork, which led me to realize why I really disliked this place. I asked the front desk if they had a plastic fork and they did not but they said that the restaraunt that was attached to the hotel would let me borrow a fork. "Maracas" is the name of the place and it was dead still.  I think that it is the latin American equivalent or should I say rip off of the Hooters concept. The only problem was that the one bartender I asked was extremely rude and was unwilling to let me borrow a fork, I guess coming back for a beer tomorrow night wasn't going to be happenning at Maracas.

Next time I'll take my chances on priceline and find a really nice hotel for an extra $40 bucks and not deal with all the hassle.

I had the misfortune of work booking my co workers & I here. Poor customer service from the front desk with the exception of the young man that works at night.
Sketchy people coming and going. The first floor seems to be the noisiest, I was on the 4th floor and it wasn't bad. You will get around half a dozen flyers shoved under your door everyday from supposed restaurants. The front desk said some of the flyers are from people that cook from their homes, not actual restaurants. The bar downstairs is extremely run down, don't bother with it. Dirty, and servers that don't even ask if you want a drink. WiFi is slow and you constantly need to get a new password. Don't waste your money staying here.

Its an OK hotel. We stayed for ultra week and paid 200$ a night. :( "to expensive for what it is"

* staff was OK
* to far from anything downtown
* bar/restaurant was terrible. No service just trying to get a beer.
* saw a roach in hallway
* rooms are clean
* beds OK
* microwave and fridge in room :)
* AC works great

Won't stay here again, price was to much but its Ultra week in Miami so every thing was expensive.

Beware of hotel under door food flyers.
Buyer beware, this guy makes the order in his home oven and not a pizza shop. You can tell because the dough is wet. :(

* guy was beating girl friend while on the phone.

* shady ass delivery driver. Same guy who answer phone.

This is probably one of the WORST places I have ever stayed. We asked the front desk for an extra blanket and the front desk guy was rude and dismissive. Zero hospitality. As if we were bothering HIM to do his job. Never got the blanket!  These people need to lose their "days inn" franchise privileges and be down graded to something far worse. My expectations were low, but seriously.... They found a new level of low. Save your money. Go to the hourly/nightly place a mile away. It's actually cleaner and their staff is much more helpful than at the "days inn". That says a lot. It's also- half the price!!!!

I've been to a lot of Days Inn hotel in different places but this one is definitely not one of the best. Stayed there for a couple of days and had a little disappointment about their room service. Room was okay, nothing special compared to the other Days Inn I've stayed to.

I would totally agree if someone says "Better find other hotels if you can afford to". Best of luck if you want to want to stay here.
