put up a visitor from Europe - even went to look at room first BUT they stuck him in a different room - and was dirty and even bugs
Would never be embarrassed like that again

Landscape good hotel, lake-view room, you can see Lake Michigan, room size is also great, big windows. Chanel store downstairs, as well as the launch of the hula hoop season package prices 15% cheaper than the Chinese about, very characteristic appearance, breakfast is also very rich, bedside put two dollars, better hygiene cleaning of the .

Just checked in.  This is where people go to shoot themselves.
This is the worst excuse for a hotel I've  seen in 25 years
If they Allowed smoking in the rooms the ashtrays would be nailed to the nightstand

No garbage  can in room with a sticky floor. No hangers no glasses or plates. Extended stat would indicate there'd be something to eat of
If it was on my dime I'd definitely find other
accommodation  remind me not to take this gig next year or at least check on the hotel first.
Ok it can only get better since it absolutely cNt get worse

It was the first time in FL and Extended Stay America - Miami - Airport - Blue Lagoon was the first positive point of the trip. Excellent service, spectacular location and very comfortable.

For the price, you would expect an average to above-average experience. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in the USA. Among the many issues here:
- the stale odor of the room is obvious as soon as you walk through the door
- we noticed several carpet stains throughout
- certain spots on the bed had some strange smells
- the bathroom had issues with the door, towels, and bathtub drain
- the "grab n go" breakfast was pathetic

In summary, STAY AWAY!  It was a cheapest-of-the-cheap motel experience for a quality hotel price. I may never stay in another Extended Stay just because of that horrible night.

Good for emergencies only.  What a dump.  The "breakfast included" was coffee, a basket of granola bars, and a basket of packaged muffins.  The free shuttle from the airport stops at 10pm, a bit of important news that was not on the website.  Scratchy, thread-bare towels.  It looks like they tried to renovate, but cut every corner with the cheapest options.  Stay anywhere else but here.

Is there a zero star for this hotel? Is was the worst and smelly hotel I've stayed. Bed makes noise and there is mold everywhere in the bathroom. Do not recommend this hotel.

This place definitely gave reason to why it was cheaper than the doubletree, Marriott, etc

I was delighted when I walked in to find a "we had a smoke free facility; enjoy" sign. I hate smoke smelling hotels. We get to our room.. And it smells like smoke. Classy. I tell the front desk lady we need another room, so she tells me to check one out. This one too smells. So she sends us to another.. Key doesn't work. Ends up someone was already in the room! The attendant said this happens when new people start morning shifts. Lol. Good to know they train their people well.

All that aside, the rooms were cheap. Equipped with a kitchen; yes. Cabinets from the 80s? Yes. Only nice thing about it was the fridge had LED lights when you opened the door.

Bed creaked when you sat on it, drapes fluttered in the blow of the A/C, and the sheets were probably bought at a garage sale.

All in all, will probably never book again with extended stay. Would rather extend an extra few bucks and stay at a nicer hotel. The attendant who helped us was very nice, while everything else fell very short.

This is basically a long stay formula with a motel setup. When you book in advance and use a coupon code it works out at $90/100 a night including taxes. There are no comparable alternatives close to blue lagoon. The big chain suite places run at $150/200 a night including taxes.

My room was clean, with good AC and had a comfortable bed & lazy chair. The TV is nice as well. Staff are professional but beware discounts are applied at the end, not beginning, of your stay. Parking my car a minute walk from my room is very convenient. The laundry is also very convenient (make sure you get a room within 2 minutes walking distance).

Free internet is good enough to stream HBO GO / Showtime / History on an iPhone. Premium WIFI is pretty cheap when bought long term.

There is no daily maid service. Not everyone's idea of service but I appreciate not having someone going through my stuff daily.
