Our first room smelled like cigarettes, even though it is a nonsmoking hotel.  They changed our room on the second day.  They charged my friend twice on her credit card and not mine at all - after some confusing phone calls to her CC company & after her card was frozen for suspicious activity, the hotel staff changed it.  And our hair dryer didn't work.   After much complaining to the manager, he credited my friend $28 for her inconvenience.  Whoop-de-doo!  I will say that one employee was extremely nice and on top of it all,  Thanks, Michelle!

Highly incompetent staff, not sure if they completed 7th grade. The fire alarms have been going off all night and the smell of pot is filling up the hallway, to make matters worse is that we're in the closest room to the front desk so I wouldn't doubt if they're the source of the issue.

Off the beaten path in the warehouse district of Doral in Miami, the Extended Stay America was a quiet oasis in a bustling Miami. Despite being surrounded by warehouses and in close proximity to the Miami Airport, the hotel was located in a safe area free of traffic, tourists and crime. Located only minutes from the airport and only slightly further from the Dolphin's stadium, Extended Stay America sits in a fantastic location.

Hotel Pros:
+ friendly staff
+ laundry room
+ computer available for use
+ in-room kitchens
+ over-sized rooms with desk, closet, table, tv & armchair
+ large bathroom

Hotel Cons:
+ bed was really firm (great if you like really firm beds)
+ only 3 pillows
+ room service only offered once a week - nominal fee charged for additional room servicing

Rate - about $80 a night

I would stay here again but it wouldn't blow me away. All of the cheaper hotels nearby had lousy reviews so I figured I would go with $80 for one night (Thursday). With taxes, I believe it was $90 for a Queen size bed.

Well, the Queen kind of seemed like a double to me. Had issues with the phone at first but the maintenance guy came and fixed it right away. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle that will pick you up from the airport but for some reason the driver didn't find me the first time and it took me awhile to get picked up. No big deal.

Room was pretty plain but if you are looking for a true extended stay I could see it making sense. There is a mini-stove, huge refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot with some coffee enough for one pot. It's within walking distance of a BBQ place called Shorty's, McDonald's, Wendy's, and several gas stations/mini-marts.

I had a pet peeve about how the entire hotel except the driveway is surrounded by big shrubbery so you have to walk all the way around regardless of which exit you take from the hotel, to get to any of the walking distance places.

Oh, also it is an extended stay so maid service is only once a week and if you need stuff like shampoo, etc. or refresh of towels more frequently, I think that's $5 per service. There is a $5 charge for internet but you don't get charged again for your whole stay, even if you stay a month

I would probably stay here again if you want to balance reasonable price for the area with not being shitty.

Rooms were fine but could have been slightly cleaner. Overnight staff was rude. Breakfast was anti-climactic but OK.

Decent rooms. YGWYP. For$89/nt, they are nicely equipped with a kitchen (stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, utensils). We even got a free upgrade to king bed. Their grab and go breakfast is literally grab and go. Would recommend eating elsewhere. Their best part is their free in room Wi-Fi. Amazing speed. Faster than my home high speed fios internet. We watched movies on Netflix (iPad). The rooms had done strong perfume smell though. I guess they add that to their a.c.. no swimming pool. Doral area is not that great. Lots of warehouses so lots of semi trucks causing worse driving experience. If you want to stay in Miami of recommend coral gables area.
