I have definitely experienced better hotels than this. Very out of date fixtures, airconditioning units, elevators, and general decor. My room was fine in terms of accomodation, however it just felt dirty...I know thats a subjective analysis rather than an objective one, I just dont know a better way to put it. Their wifi worked about as well as dial-up.  Except for Harvest Delight (see latest review), no really well reviewed restaurants in walking distance so you need to drive to grab dinner. All in all not the worst place I've stayed and by far much better than a roadside motel. If you can, I'd try the Hilton Garden Inn. If you cant, then this isnt a bad place - particularly for a 1 or 2 night stay for work.

I have stayed at many hampton Inns and have been happy, unfortunately not so here.  I normally stay at hampton because they are consistent, reliable, comfortable, and have friendly staff.  We did the stay and park package here.  Our stay was pleasant enough.  The room was comfortable and clean.  For breakfast, the garbage cans were overflowing.  They didn't care to empty them until the breakfast hour was over.  However, what earns the low rating is the transport service.  Their policy is every hour on the hour from hotel to the airport--15 to20 minutes away.  We arrived at the airport fine.  Upon returning,  I called the hotel when our plane landed to see where the best place was to meet the shuttle.  When we hadn't seen it I called an hour later and they said we must have missed it, another would be arriving in 40 minutes.  A third phone call was made.  All in all, we landed at 1:30 and did not get picked up until 4 pm.  The hotel gave the reason that the van had broken down, however the driver said this was not the case, he had just been told about the run.  When the issue was brought to the attention of the manager she did not show much concern.  There are plenty of other park and stay hotels for Miami.  I suggest booking at a different one.

This is a below-average Hampton Inn and here is a list of items that need improvement during my recent stay (June, 2011).

In short, stay away from this poorly managed property.  You can do much better at the Hilton Garden Inn or the Homewood Suites located 1/2 mile away.

1.  Noisy room due to an old AC system
2.  Breakfast was missing several items (there were no hot food available)
3.  Breakfast area tables were not cleaned and the trash cans were overflowing
4.  The fitness center had no towels

I've stayed here three times.  All 3 times, it's been great.  The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and there's free breakfast.

Thank you American Airlines for screwing up your schedule yet again and providing me with a (modest) discount for a room for the night. Even with the $20 I saved with my voucher, I wouldn't opt to stay here again. Everything in the room was old, and the A/C wall unit kept making odd sounds all night which kept us from sleeping solidly for the 5 hours we were there.

This is the Hampton Inn (emphasize on the word INN) They tell you upfront with their title that it's not up to par with a 5 star hotel.  With that being said, we shouldn't compare it to one.

Let's face it, Hampton Inn is a 3 star hotel.  So let's not think it should be on the same level as a Marriott in the City Center.  More like the same level as a Travelodge.  So now that we're on the same level here.  For a 3 star hotel, I was BLOWN AWAY.

We arrived in Miami at 6am.  By the time we got our bags, rental car we headed to the hotel to see if there might be a slight chance they might have a room available for an early check in.  By this time it was around 8:30.  The young lady at the front desk was the sweetest!  She checked for us, but gave the bad news to us gently that none were available.  She told us that housekeeping starts to clean around 11am and that by noon there should be rooms available.  PERFECT!  She told us that we can help ourselves to their breakfast.  And I was really impressed by their spread.  Muffins, coffee cakes, fresh fruit, raisin bagels, bacon, eggs, bagels topped with bacon and cheese, a waffle maker, fresh brewed coffee, and 3 different types of juices available (orange, pineapple, guava)  Um, for a 3 star hotel, i was getting FEAST on!

So me and the wifey leave since we had time and ventured throughout the city.  Once 11 hit, we headed back to the hotel's vicinity to grab a bite to eat.  12pm hit and we called to see if any rooms were available, and the second we got a "yes" we packed it up and headed to the hotel.  We were able to check in early and enjoy a breakfast buffet before 1pm.  We got to our room and it was spacious with comfortable beds.  We passed the fitness room on the way up there.  Just the fact that they HAVE a fitness room impressed me.  Good job Hampton Inn.

Now, when I'm on vacation, I am not one to stay in my hotel all day.  I think that would be a WASTE of a vacation.  All I need in a hotel is a comfy bed, air conditioning, and for it to be safe enough that I know a creep wont try to scale the wall and attack us.  That's it.  All the other lavish amenities can go suck it.  Because the only time I want to be in the hotel room is to SLEEP.  Otherwise, you best believe, I'm out getting my vacation on in the city.  Why stay in your hotel room when there's restaurants to be eaten at?  clubs to be danced and drunk in?  beaches to sun bathe in?  masseuses that will gladly take your money for an hour of bliss?  WHY would you stay in your room?

If you're like me, this hotel is the closest to perfection that you're gonna get.  The price is low and the amenities surpass my expectations.  ENJOY!

If this was the first time at a Hampton, it would have been the last.
The room did not "feel" clean, the A/C did not work, and the TV remote's batteries were solidly oxidized in the remote and did not work.
Overall a very poor example of a Hampton.

This place was ok.  Room was clean, hallways not so much.  Staff is friendly and helpful.  One downside - shuttle from airport took 45 minutes and 3 phone calls to arrive.  Many other hotel vans went by multiple times while we were waiting.  Very frustrating.

Clean and comfortable room at an affordable rate-- no complaints here!

Looking at some of the other reviews of this establishment I'm thinking that it must have undergone a recent renovation; most of the complaints I see just weren't true of my experience at this hotel.  Either that or the reviewers are just spoiled brats that expect a moderately priced airport hotel to be a five-star resort.  Get real.

They really need to better train their staff(Erika)  make me waste my time to come here to then tell me that I can't pay cash after she told me on the phone i could.

Pretty good.  The exterior is so-so, and looks like an old-style Hampton.  But the inside has been thoroughly reworked, so it was a pleasant surprise.  It was fairly clean (except for a few, long, lady-hairs in the bathtub...) and the desk staff were quick and polite.

The rate was high, not just for the hotel, but compared to other hotels in the area.  Rates are very dynamic, so maybe it was just my timing.

I am the vice president of a local community service organization. I recently hosted a luncheon in their conference room. The service I received was outstanding. The seats were arranged exactly how I needed them and the staff offered their help to set everything up for me. The assistant general manager (Robert) even helped me with some technological glitches on my personal laptop during my presentation. The staff in general was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I am looking forward to hosting more events here in the future.

I'm currently staying at this location. This is my 2nd day here and I am already on my 3rd room. Room 1- everything was wet. Carpet, sheets, pillows. Everything was completely wet. Room 2 - AC was broken. It's Florida and it's 90 degrees outside. Finally we are in room 3 with 2 doubles instead of a king bed and the bathroom lights barely work. I hope they provide some kind of credit at check out tomorrow. Don't plan on staying here again.

I've stayed at my fair share of Hampton Inns due to traveling for work. I know their consistency and standards by now. This is not one I would stay at again. I'm only here for 2 nights, so I'll update this after trying their breakfast tomorrow. But, as it stands right now, the only saving grace about this hotel for me is the friendly staff.

The room is dirty.  I am glad I brought my flipflops, because there's no way I'm walking barefoot on this carpet. It's got pieces of things all over it. There are fruit loops less than 6in from my feet at this desk. The lamp next to the bed on the right is broken or loose (idk, it swings around from its socket if I touch it). The lamp on the desk has grime and hair on it. The bath isn't any better. The pillows and cases look and feel like they need replacing. The fan is broken and the vent for it is completely obscured by thick layers of gross lint. There are obvious water stains and paint cracked open from water on the ceiling in both rooms.

It almost feels like this was a 2nd hand Motel 6 turned into a Hampton Inn. I'm not expecting 5 star, luxury, or anything of the kind. I do expect a clean hotel room that doesn't smell musky and damp with clean floors, and a bathroom that has consistent water pressure. Also, while the internet is free, it's slow. I'm taking less than 1 Mbps slow.

Maybe I got unlucky with a bad room, but I just can't see myself coming back just for the great staff that work here.

2 stars for friendly staff but the rest of the hotel Pass.  Elevator stopped working twice on the first day of the stay terrible here on the 6th floor.  Security is in question as well on the second night there must've been 45 lenders shoving pizza Flyers under the doors at different times throughout the evening overall disappointing for a Hilton Hampton Inn family hotel

Stuck in Miami due to my flight being cancelled. Not many choices so late in the day but got room at the Hampton. After three phone calls and over an hour later the hotel shuttle finally picked us up at the airport. The driver never said one word to us. In fact he couldn't even lift the luggage since he appeared 85 years old. Got checked in while the young men behind the desk were gossiping among themselves. No customer service or manors. Total lack of professionalism. Finally get to the room and have trouble with the door sticking.  My husband gives it a push open but his whole hand is covered in fresh paint!!! Not even a sign letting you know they just painted it. Hotel is old. Needs some work. Truly the dumpiest Hampton we have ever stayed at.

Had to stay here for a night due to American Airlines incompetence at Miami International Airport, which is about 10 minutes away. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and more than happy to provide us with free toothbrushes, toothpaste, couple bottles of water, and recommendations of nearby places to eat and drink.

The decor was on the modern side and looked nice, definitely way better than we were expecting =)

The room was also nice and clean; stocked with Nuetrogena brand soap, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash and lotion.

For the price point ($219 + tax) and last minute circumstance it was all we could have asked for.
