Hampton Inn Miami Brickell downtown is a brand new hotel with a modern feel.  It definitely doesn't feel like your typical Hampton.  The rooms were nice, clean and large with fun decor--fitting for Miami!  There is a great lounge area with lots of tables and a nice bar with TVs which was great when I decided to grab take out to eat dinner downstairs instead of in my room.  There is a nice fitness room with brand new equipment, and a beautiful outdoor pool with several lounge chairs and umbrellas.  We had great service from the staff.  The front desk went out of their way to help me with anything I needed.  The cleaning staff manager came to ask me specifically if I was satisfied with the cleanliness of my room, which pretty much never happens at a chain hotel.  The location is great (right in Brickell Downtown Miami!) and for the price of a Hampton you're staying in an extremely nice hotel. I'll definitely stay here again!

Great location, friendly staff and just an all around nice Hilton hotel. I would surely recommend this Hilton property to anyone. My room was ALWAYS clean and smelled fresh upon my return each day. The views the hotel have to offer are great and the happy hour is just what the doctor ordered. Great Great Great!

No idea about the actual hotel, but we parked there tonight when going to a nearby restaurant. Received a call half way through dinner saying a family member was in hospital and we rushed out leaving our parking ticket at the restaurant.  We discovered we didn't have the ticket when we were at the boom, exiting..explained the emergency to the staff, but they made us repark, go to management and pay $30...delaying us getting to the hospital by 30 mins.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful and eco-friendly. Also, the pool and pool area were very nice. It was close to a few different nice restaurants and shops and we had a very relaxing time in this hotel. It is a little far from the beach, but we did not have any intention of going to the beach. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Miami and wants to be close to the airport or port of Miami.

Stayed in room 816 from 2/27/12-3/1/12. The hotel was nice, had a new clean feel to it. The afternoon hotel staff was friendly and knowledgable (and cute(including the new trainee)) The only problem I had with it is the distance it is from the beach. It's literally steps from public transportation which is good. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was decent(where's the bacon) overall I liked my experience at this hotel. I would definitely come back and I've already recommended it to some of my friends!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel!  Better than expected.  The parking deck was nice, although a $14 charge per day.  All decor was modern and clean and very nice.  The lobby is great - high ceilings, and I enjoyed both the bar and breakfast area.  The bar will happily provide menus to local restaurants - I ordered from an italian place and the food was way above expectations.  The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly.

Soooo I have mixed feelings about this place. There are both pros and cons and I want to be fair in my review because I rarely give negative reviews but here we go.... We stayed here for four days after coming back from a cruise. I really looked around and made sure I found a nice hotel to stay at that would accommodate all of my needs. This is the closest hotel that is near downtown Miami which was REALLY nice. You just walk around the corner and its a whole strip of shops and restaurants. The metro is also right outside which is another plus. So it has like the best location and its really convenient if you don't want to rent a car. They also have complimentary breakfast that is really good and helped save us money. The pool is also amazing. Its small but a good size and its clean and decorated nice. Because we are on vacation, my husband and I always like to make sure we choose a hotel where we can order on demand pay per view so we can be lazy and chill and relax, lol. So I called the Marriot, Hilton, and DoubleTree and they all didn't offer pay per view. So I called here and they said they offered it and I repeated my question to clarify and they said yes we do so I ended up booking. Welll when we get there we wanted to just relax and order a movie because we were tired from our cruise and guess what, no pay per view ! So we were bummed but ok whatever. We started to watch tv and it kept going out and in. A blue screen would come up that said digital tv.... it wasn't one time it kept happening throughout our stay and it was irritating. Now, the last thing that I found REALLY odd was that we got back at about 4:30 pm from being out all day and room service came i guess in the morning which they normally do and our room was nice and clean. So we laid down in the bed about to take a nap and we hear our door open and it was one of the cleaning ladies and when she saw that we were there she hurried and shut the door. Now we had iPad and laptops and jewelry which we shouldn't have left out but we did. I mean maybe they weren't gonna take anything but still that was really odd to me, I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. If you don't want housekeeping to come you normally just make sure you leave the door hanger sign on at night/morning so they don't come in and clean but come on, 4:30pm??? Out of all the many hotels I've stayed at never have I had someone walk in during the evening. I actually will consider staying here again because of the location and convenience near everything.

Stayed at this hotel in a king studio for a few days before a cruise. Got the the hotel early in the morning after flying a red eye from LA and then getting in an accident in the taxi from the airport! Boo Florida police who made us stay on the side of the freeway in the taxi van with the kids for 3 hours!!!! Not a great first impression of Florida. As you can imagine, we were not in the best mood when arriving.

The lobby is weird as the hotel lobby is not until the 6 floor, but the check in was SO nice. The receptionist was very sweet and told us the room we reserved was not available (2 queen beds) but that she could let us in a king right then and could bring up a roll away. She even let us have the free breakfast.  Roll away was comfy and it turned out fine. Thank goodness she let us check in early - we were so stressed from the accident ordeal.

The breakfast is very good for free -  hot with decent amount of choices and yes, some protein. There is a manager reception  in the evening. The pool is small but well maintained. Service very good. Rooms clean and modern. Location seems a bit sketchy, but don't worry, it is safe with restaurants close by and a really fun liquor store with a quirky and so fun owner who gave the kids a choice of candy for free - try their take out sandwiches.

This is a great place to stay before a cruise - highly recommend.

This was quite honestly one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

The Hampton Inn Miami Brickell Downtown literally opened about a week ago. EVERYTHING FEELS NEW. Which is dumb to say, because it is....but I feel like I was the very first and only person to have slept in my room. I had incredible views of Brickell and the rest of downtown, with Miami Center right in the middle of my window! The bathroom was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable. Hampton Inn, whatever you're doing, you're doing it right.

The hotel is connected to a parking garage, which is very convenient for late night returns from Miami Beach or Downtown. You can literally park your car and take it right up to your floor, no walking through the lobby is necessary because the lobby is on the sixth floor (read: don't have to run into anyone if you happened to have had a little too much fun in South Beach...).

The hotel is about 5 seconds from the Brickell stop on the Metromover and Metrorail. I walked there in the rain and barely got wet! Plus, Metromover is FREE, so all of downtown Miami is literally steps away.

As they are a new hotel, there are a few kinks that give them the 4-star rating. For one, the check-in process was a little slow. The hotel was by no means busy, and yet I had to wait a considerable amount of time before being helped, and then it took just as long to get my key. I'll let it slide though, since I assume they're just getting used to the first of many guests I imagine will stay here. Also, the pool was not finished (not that I was going swimming in the rain) and the little convenience store in the lobby was not open either (I wanted a quick snack, but I didn't want to leave the hotel since it was basically a hurricane outside). I know, thought, that these are things that the Hampton Inn will smooth out over the next few weeks, then I expect them to get nothing less than five stars.

Next time I'm in Miami, I know where I'll be staying.

Very clean. Good service. Good breakfast, ie. eggs waffles, breads, cereals, etc. Shuttle to cruise ship only $8 each. Comfy beds.  Close walking distance from metro drop off, metro came from airport. Near great bars and restaurants. Nice pool.  And they gave us two comp alcoholic beverages upon arrival!  Highly recommend this place.

This Hampton Inn has made me a believer in all Hampton Inns.  I don't know if they are all created equal, but this one in Miami was amazing.  As soon as we got in, the people at reception were extremely helpful and friendly, they provide a free drink at the bar and they have fresh fruits in the lobby.  The rooms are very modern and clean.  I only wish we'd stayed in Miami longer to enjoy more time at this Hampton Inn!  Next time I come to Miami, I'd stay here again!

I went down to Miami on short notice and my co-worker booked here so I followed suit since he had the rental car.  Our client was a short 4 miles away, so the location was convenient.   I had seen solid reviews, but have to chime in that for the $$ this place is outstanding.   The rooms were fine, the bed was comfortable and the property despite being on Brickell was quiet.

The best part of the two night stay was the complimentary breakfast.  I expected something cold, but this was the opposite.  Hot eggs, sausage, potatoes etc..along with waffles, assorted breads, fresh fruit and juice/coffee.  The 6th floor area where the bar and breakfast area were modern and stylish.  We were a short 1 min walk to the people mover which we took over to the Heat game and that saved additional $$.

Everyone knows Miami is extremely expensive, but this Hampton experience was the opposite.  The rate was an exceptional value when you throw in the breakfast, location and room quality.

Parking was $18 per night.  Not bad.  The garage was underground and well patrolled.

Really exceeded my expectations, and I'm picky.
1. Amazing artwork and great design throughout
2. Breakfast that is actually tasty, despite containing usual hotel breakfast items (waffles, omelets, etc).  Tea/coffee/lemon water in the lobby at all times
3. Really great pool, with gorgeous lanterns, some cabanas and couches, poolside bar,  and low chlorine both in the pool and in the whirlpool.  Only 4.5 feet deep in the deepest part, which makes it great for playing with kids, as do the plentiful pool noodles.
4. Friendly solicitous employees
5. Large, well-designed suites with hot tubs - but be careful: their "suite" is not "a suite of rooms" as you might expect.  It's one large room, so if you want to be able to close the door on your traveling companions get separate rooms instead.  Would take half a star off for this if I could, since it's not obvious from their site.
6. Very clean
7. Walking distance to lots of good restaurants
8. Half a block away from public transportation, and yet quiet

4.5 stars.  Wonderful place to stay, great location in Brickell - easy to get to downtown, Design District, Calle Ocho, Coral Gables - and about 15 minutes to South Beach (if you take the way that arrives from the north).

Great customer service, brand new hotel - felt like a full-on Hilton except with the additions of kitchenettes.  The best part was having access to an on-site self-parking garage with full in/out privileges = no hassle, for $18 a night (cheap for Miami).

Within walking distance to a grocery store, several restaurants, and bars (La Moon and Blackbird Ordinary for those in the know, more fru-fru type places in the Brickell area).

Only complaint was that the outdoor pool/jacuzzi weren't heated - and the chlorine levels were sky-high.  The fumes were almost sickening.  The hotel bartender also stood out from the rest of the employees - she looked like she hated working there because she rarely ever smiled, and functioned solely as a drink maker/provider.  By the way, 2 free beer/wine drinks upon check-in.

If you are on a budget don't bother staying anywhere else.  We stayed at couple of other more expensive hotels downtown and boy we missed this one.  Great staff!!!  The kitchen staff are super.  Make sure you walk around Brickkell and don't miss the fun during weekends. Morning gourmet street food.  Evening music and food. Fun place.

Stop reading this review, and get to hampton inn's website immediately and book.

I thought I was dreaming .... BRAND SPANKING new, close enough to walk to the people mover and to other things downtown Miami.  Obviously this isn't South Beach but I felt really safe and was happy we stayed here. Next trip to Miami, I'm staying here.

Didn't get a chance to use pool, but they had one. Holler.

AND they have an onsite bar?? Love it!!

This hotel only opened about a year ago. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye and clean. My room was only 170 the last two nights in a prime location a block away from the metrorail and metromover station. You can easily get by without a car.

The gym contained a decent selection of weights for a hotel. The treadmills were capped at rather slow speeds- at most 7 mph. Trying to prevent injury I presume.

Internet access and breakfast were complimentary. Their continental breakfasts were surprisingly lavish- scrambled eggs, waffles, french toast, loaded bagels depending on the morning. You have to be up by 10am though. Internet speeds were so-so while the computers were the all-in-one desktops and quite fast.

The bedroom portion of the room was small but clean. Plentiful outlets for your smartphone and laptops. Spacious bathrooms.

Housekeeping was average. They didn't clean up my room too much.

Great hotel for business and pleasure in the Brickell neighborhood. The price can't be beat for what you get in return.

We had a work meeting here that was all day. We were using an outside caterer and needed to have lunch stored in the fridge and then set up in the afternoon for us. Every single person I dealt with was friendly, accommodating and efficient. The location was great for all our meeting attendees and the meeting room was perfectly sized for our needs.

I can't say enough about the quality staff. In the couple weeks before the event they thought of things I didn't and provided us with them. They made sure everyone knew the details of the meeting so we were prepared, and the day of they were helpful in several pinches and nice to boot. I would definitely recommend this place for meetings and events.

Great rates and location.  All new hotel and ammenities.  Plush bed and linens.  Beautiful views.  Nice pool, convenient parking, recycling made easy, and free full breakfast.  I also liked that coffee, tea, and infused ice water was available 24/7.  This is also the closest hotel to Miami-Dade Transit Brickell Station, which allows quick transport to Miami Intl Airport for only $2.00.

This hotel really stands out from other Hampton hotels in the chain. It felt very upscale, modern, classy and trendy. When I checked in I was upgraded to a suite (because of Hilton Honors status) and absolutely loved my room. The funky modern furniture definitely made me feel like I was on vacation in Miami, and the room layout was open and versatile, with the TV swinging to face the living room area or the bed.

The lobby area has souring ceilings and is decked out with trendy furniture, lighting, and curtains. This is a 180 polar opposite from what I'm used to with Midwestern Hampton Inns. The breakfast buffet included everything I've ever seen at any Hampton, but all in one place, a very wide selection of your basic breakfast foods.

My Hampton breakfast bar tip: Freshly make a Belgian waffle, spread peanut butter on top, sprinkle with sliced almonds (found by the oatmeal) and finally slice a banana on top. It is like Hampton Breakfast Buffet Gourmet. :)

The pool area is great. I spent a lazy afternoon relaxing in the sun, swimming in the pool, and chilling in the hot tub. There is a great selection of different seating options for whatever mood you're in. Another added bonus to this hotel is the hotel bar, which I've never seen at a Hampton before! Bonus: a nice spicy cracker mix to munch on.

Overall I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and the location was just down the block fro the Brickell restaurant and shopping area. The Metro Mover is also right around the corner, and you can hop on for free transit to everywhere else in the downtown Miami area.

This is probably the nicest Hampton Inn I've stayed at.  Very modern and refurbished.  Right in the downtown area and within walking distance to a ton of restaurants in the Brickell area.  In a safe area to walk around at night.

Check-in not so smooth (I think because there were some "problem" customers they were trying to assist concurrently).  Rooms were nice and spacious - much larger than typical city hotels that you would find in NYC or Chicago.  The bathrooms were more of the size of a Hilton than a Hampton Inn.  Plenty of towels, too.  Coffee makers in the rooms (for coffee or tea) but there was also always self-dispense coffee, tea, and ice water in the lobby.

There is a bar in the hotel and it seemed like most people got a free drink coupon upon check in.  Also on the main lobby floor is the eating area for breakfast.  While it's a typical continental free breakfast served on paper plates, the selections exceed most hotel breakfasts I've encountered.  For instance, usually there are 2-3 selections of danish and muffins, there about at least 8 different kinds.  Lots of toppings for the oatmeal.  Whole fresh fruit.  Selection of coffees and teas.  Eggs, turkey sausage, hash browns.

Self-parking is kind of a pain.  The lot is actually prior to the roundabout driveway in front of the hotel. Since the hotel is on a one-way street you need to go through a whole series of turns to get back.  Parking is also $18 a day with in-and-out privileges.

Had a pretty large outdoor pool area and cabanas but we did not try it out but you can see it right behind the bar.  Also had a gym on premise but again did not check it out.

There is a Metro stop about a half a block away.

I would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn again.

Stayed here for six nights to catch the Mets v Marlins series and do some sight seeing and this place was a home run.

Located a block from the Metrorail ($2 a ride), you can take the Orange Line straight from Miami International Airport to the Brickell Station, which is almost at their front door.

Upon check in they gave us complimentary vouchers for drinks at their lobby/pool bar. Nice.

The room was nice, one queen bed, flat screen tv, desk, the usual. My only, slight complaint, was that some channels on the digital tv were always getting stuck, freezing up.

The fitness center has six machines (three treadmills, two elliptical and one recumbent bike), some dumbbells and medicine balls. I thought it was a little small (equipment wise) for a hotel this size, but every morning that I went, the machine I favored was open.

The business center had six computer terminals and two printers.

The complimentary breakfast runs from 6:00am to 10:00am. They have fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, two waffle irons, omelets, sausage patties and potatoes. A nice spread to start your day.

The rooftop pool is on the sixth floor. It's only four and a half feet deep. It's more for cooling off then doing laps. There is an outdoor jacuzzi also.

The hotel is also a block away from the free Metromover, which is like those airport shuttle trams. It runs from the Financial District up to the Adrienne Arsht Center, with stops allover downtown Miami, including Bayfront Park. If it's free, it's for me.

Getting to Marlins Park was pretty easy. You take the Metrorail ($2), either the Green or Orange Line, to the Civic Center stop. Then you either grab the free Trolley Bus outside the station or walk 10 blocks to the stadium.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance of this hotel.

We paid $138 per night (plus tax) and thought it was good for what we got.

A home run.

This is probably one of the best bang for your buck hotels in Miami.  The room sizes are absurdly large and I would argue that you would have among the highest price per square footage ratios anywhere in Miami.  You can have a n awesome view of Miami here.  The rooms are also very clean in addition to being very spacious. This is a prefect hotel if you're planning on getting drinks around the vibrant Brickell area.

Excellent experience during my stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is super clean, the bed was very nice, shower was powerful and clean, and even the complimentary breakfast was great!  The pool and hot tub are even open 24 hours (with no lifeguard on duty) and those are located outdoors, on top of the 6th floor. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely be returning.

Highly recommended! First thing I'll say is that this hotel is NOT in miami beach, so unless you have a car or don't mind getting a taxi or public transportation then this place is not for you.

The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms are clean, service service is top notch. For a non-upscale hotel chain this Hampton Inn definitely exceeded my expectations.

Parking isn't cheap ($18 a day) but it is totally convenient.

Breakfast is included and they have a lot of good stuff. Also, coffee available 24hrs.

Would stay here again the next time I'm in Miami!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night before our cruise.  The best part of the hotel is its location.  Not only is it close to the port, but it's also right beside the metro/mero mover station, which allowed us to visit friends in South Miami and get around downtown for super cheap.  I also loved that you can walk to the Brickell Publix from the hotel.

The hotel itself was clean and modern.  Our room was very comfortable and everyone (especially the concierge) was extremely helpful.  We enjoyed the free drink at the bar and the free breakfast.  My only complaints would be that the breakfast area was extremely crowded, and when we were trying to check out, it took them several times to get my room key to work.  However, I'd easily overlook those two little things and I'd definitely stay here again.

I don't know how this hotel got such a high rating. I stayed here for one night, and the second I walked in I wanted to turn around.

The hotel is tacky, the carpeting, decorations, walls, lighting, everything is just the epitome of tacky. The free breakfast is gross, the service was rude and tried closing a half hour early. Their idea of 'a room with a view' is a room overlooking a building across a construction site. Its a nice view of everyone else's balconies, except for your own. The location sucks, its a far walk through mud and construction to get anywhere. There is more pressure in this review than there is in the faucets here.

How is there not a fridge in every hotel room now a days? This hotel was built two years ago and they couldn't think to put balconies and refrigerators in the rooms?

The only reason this hotel earned one star is because I could not get out of the bed this morning if you paid me- insanely comfortable.

For $370 for a night, save your money, and patience, and go to the Epic. I won't ever be able to say enough good things about the Epic. Its fantastic.

We decided to book this hotel based on the fact of how close it is to the Port of Miami. I was extremely happy with my decision to stay here. This hotel is in the heart of Downtown Miami and it's relatively new and very clean. When you check in, you enter using the entrance on the first floor but you have to take the elevator to the lobby which is located on the 6th floor. The lobby is very spacious and modern. The pool is located in the lobby area out on one of the patios. The pool is pretty small but it has great views of downtown. We had our complimentary wines at the pool bar and when it's free, one can't complain.

The room was very comfortable and perfect for the couple of hours of sleep we needed before our cruise. Hilton treats their loyal guests very well in my opinion, always accommodating their requests. This isn't your typical Hampton Inn, this is an upscale HI. Security in the elevator was a nice touch, you cannot go past the 6th floor (lobby) without a room key card. I did not park my car at the hotel because I found a long term parking about a mile away that would charge $6.00 a day which was perfect for my cruise. Metro Mover (Free Trains in the downtown area) has a station pretty much across the street from this hotel which is perfect for those of you staying here. The hotel reserved a service to take us to the Port which cost us $8.00 a person.

Downtown Miami has been revitalized which I was not aware of and pleasantly shocked. It is filled with trendy clubs and restaurants and you get a lot to choose from. My fond memories of a run down and sketchy downtown have been erased for the most part.

We reserved this hotel about 6 months before our stay and got an excellent rate of $160.00 a night. For downtown Miami, that's pretty good considering the competition and their prices. Highly recommend to people cruising out of Miami or people looking to party in the downtown area. It's also very close to the arena where the Miami Heat play their games and Bayside Marketplace.

We drove there straight through from Milwaukee and the Hampton Inn was a welcome site. We went directly to our first floor room. It was clean and cold! We ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut and crashed for the night. The continental breakfast was well managed and the area clean. We had ordered a private service recommended by the hotel for our drive to the port of Miami. They were 10 minutes late and the hotel staff was very courteous and called them right away. We made it to port on time. There are stores all around the Hampton Inn and places to eat as well. The hotel also picked us up for free from the airport when we dropped off our rental. I am only saying it was priced because the price was double the rate for spring break.

Our reservation is not "showing up" in their system in spite of copies of our confirmation number, emails, etc. By their admission a "computer glitch" since even they are able to log into our Hilton account and see everything. We're Hilton Silver. They're scrambling but, damn, this is not how to start a vacation.

A manager has been summoned to address the situation. They are doing what they SHOULD have done an hour ago: getting us in a room.

Here a night before my cruise.

It's about a $25-30 cab ride from the miami airport.

Check in was very courteous and friendly. Room is nice, wife likes the Neutrogena bath products. Closed to the metromover and restaurants.

Drink vouchers (better than happy hour at other Hampton inns). Free wifi and pool table ay the pool bar (small). Nice breakfast, but gets bust around 8 to 9am. Laundry on floor 7.

Overall a nice hotel. Will come back definitely!
