Never had nicer people at a hotel stay... We were there during the Miami New Times Brew at the Zoo... Drinking and driving is a no no! especially when you have to drive for a good 90 minutes after punishing ur liver for 6 hours.

Rooms were pretty standard, comfy pillows. Free Wifi was awesome and easy to connect. i mean you stay at one Holiday Inn, you've stayed at all of em. The difference was the Uber nice Front Desk People.

Thanks alot Roberto and Jean!~ funny guys. Midnight Drunken Putt Putt is awesome.

I mean, I'm not saying that what Marc says is wrong...but he totally neglected to mention the complimentary cookies. I also recall having a drunken good time on the mini putting green in front of the hotel.

And they probably have to get a bonus star just for putting up with our shit show for the weekend. Seriously, it was totally fucked.

    Let's recap.

$136 a night for the "suite". Trust me, I use the term lightly.

Complimentary breakfast in the morning - inedible. I dont even get how eggs can be that bad. Seriously.

Complimentary popcorn in the afternoon. Yes. Popcorn.

Worst. Elevator. Ever. W.T.F. No joke, it's faster to take the stairs to the fifth floor.

Concierge service?  It doesnt exist. I called down to the front desk the 3 hours before I had to leave to book a taxi to take me to MIA.  12pm rolls around, and the cab isnt here.  Guess what?  They forgot to call. On top of that, I'm in bumfuck Miami (Kendall, techincally) and there's no cab within 30minutes of me.  I ended up getting picked up at 12:50, and that's only bc the taxi that DID come to the hotel was there for someone else, and I lied (I know, I know, but I WAS NOT about to miss my flight) and told him that I was the guy he was there to pick up.

"I thought we were going to the Miami Seaport?"

"I thought so too, but something came up at work and I need to go to the airport ASAP..."

The beds sucked, the "decor" sucked, everything sucked.

    They have free wifi.

I booked this hotel for 1 evening and everything was great.

I chose the location because we were attending a wedding near by. If you are looking for a place to stay that has shopping and restaurants near by, this isn't your hotel. But if you are looking for a place to lay your head down after a busy night, it is perfect.

Situated in a quiet, industrial area, it was a bit out of the way of everything. We didn't mind though.

The rooms were clean and the front desk employees were super friendly. I called a day in advance to request an early check in and when I called the day of to confirm at 10AM, our room was already ready.

Overall, friendly, clean and quiet. Soft comfortable beds. That's all we were looking for and we got it.

My dad and I entered the room and found out that we had no shower curtin! We called to get one , and they said " we have nobody to get that installed for you..." How do they expect us to shower without flooding the bath room?! Bad service and inconsiderate , if they could of just given us a curtin shower we could of installed it ourself , you don't need a degree to install one! Lol rooms were good, breakfast was great and overall hotel looked nice , it's just your employees....

I've read the other posted reviews and Marc's is pretty much on target.

I'm here for the MiamiMan Triathlon and this hotel is very convenient. Simple rooms and nothing fancy. An OK breakfast, but really mediocre.

The rate?  An outrage!  I have to get reconstructive surgery after the $279 per day rate. Say what?  A Holiday Inn Express in an industrial area on a weekend?  I've been hosed!!

When I checked in I said to the clerk "Is that the daily rate or the cost for the entire weekend?" to which she replied "Yes".  Because of the language barrier I asked to check with the manager.  He never got back to me.

Later that night I heard them quoting walk-ins $153 daily rate!

So...on Sunday afternoon I called in to the hotel after the race asking for a late check-out.  I'm told "no".  ( How do you like that, charge me too much and DON'T give me late check out!)  The manager and I speak and I tell  him how can this rate be what it is compared to the walk-in rate.  His logic:  The room reservation was made one year ago, who knows if they would have other events that weekend, rooms were not blocked for the triathlon, etc., etc.   Reluctantly I get an extension for one hour!

I ask if there is any way the rate can be abated.  "It is a valid rate" I'm told.

So, I get to the hotel.  My key does not work as I'm past the noon checkout hour.  Go back to the front desk and ask the clerk to let me in the room.  "You are past the checkout time!" I'm rudely told.  "No, we got an extension".  "No, you are not on the list".  "Yes I am"  "No you're not", and on and on.  Finally the issue is resolved in my favor and  I get the key re-validated.  What a hassle!

I've stayed in much hotels, even resorts, for less than what I'm paying at this joint. What a major screw job!  So...the largest complaint is the ripoff on the rate compared to the rate given a walk-in.  Caveat Emptor?

You bet I'll watch out next time.  Mediocre hotel in an industrial area, not near anything in Miami that is of interest, with a slow elevator, semi-competent desk employees, mediocre food for breakfast.

The best thing of this hotel?  A Starbucks is a block away.

Lets not forget that this is Holiday Inn and for a Holiday Inn i think this place is a pretty cool stay

Im not trying to spend much time in a hotel room in Miami, so for a Triple S spot this place is cool.  Its away from all the Miami hot spots so you will need a car if you stay here and expect to enjoy Miami.  At $99 a night, I recommend this hotel, its nice ........for Holiday Inn

Pleasant stay.  Rooms were clean sheets and towels were as white as can be.  The breakfast was hot and fresh with a wide variety of food, juice, etc.
We usually stay with family while visiting Miami, but we would def.  stay here again when we are staying local with the family.  DO NO expect much in the area because this hotel is tucked away, but it is family friendly and most of all CLEAN!

Quiet and comfortable, with the expected amenities - functional business center (no problems there, printer and all hook ups went smoothly), clean and sunny breakfast area with a respectable selection.

There was no microwave.fridge in our room this time, however we experienced an excellent bi-lingual staff. No hitches for us in any department, which, when you travel a lot, is a plus.

Horrible horrible horrible! The staff was beyond unprofessional. We're waiting for a guest some friends staying over. Some newbie rookie guy who worked there came up to me and harassed me in front of everyone saying excuse what's your room number and asked me for the name I'm like excuse I'm in the middle of a conversation. And now dare yell and embarrass me this way. Horrible horrible horrible

Keisha at the front desk was awesome. Smile on her face the second I walked through the door and she was very helpful.  She truly understands what customer service is all about.
The cookies were fresh and were a pleasant surprise. Very welcoming lobby with the cookies and fresh juice.
They have a very nice pool area with a hot tub which was at the perfect temp and felt great after a long day of driving.
The hotel room was clean and beds were very comfortable.
I was impressed with the hot breakfast as well.  One of the nicest continental breakfast I've ever had.  They had a pancake machine, wow never seen one of those before.  I guess I don't get out much. LOL. I've added a photo to show just some of what they have to offer.
Another little hidden delight is on the 4th floor.  An ice cream vending machine for that late night treat.
Next time through, on my way to Key West I will definitely book this one.

The hotel has a putting green in the front!!!  I am ecstatic!!!

It is a bit older but still in great condition. The room I have is very spacious and comfortable with a view of the pool.

The continental breakfast is decent, but the scrambled eggs are a bit watery for my liking. They so have a free shuttle with a five mile radius. All in all an excellent place to stay

Comfy bed, and lots of amenities. Offered free tea, coffee, cookies, and popcorn : ) Breakfast was so/so. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Very clean Hotel. If you are looking for a place to eat, check out Sergios, we ate there 2x and fell in love with this restaurant. Try the Vaca Frita : )

This is my first time ever reviewing an IHG hotel. Only reason why i'm doing this now is because i'm pretty sure they have a firewall that prevents you to watch netflix, youtube and use spotify on your computer. Like WTH?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every other site works pretty much

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites are really nice and have surprised me. This one especially. It was nice and clean. The beds and pillows were soo comfortable. The room was bright and blue and didn't have the classic drabby Holiday Inn linen. The breakfast is okay. It's free, but it's not the best.

All I cared about was the bed apparently, because that's all I took a picture of!
