Had to spend time with an ailing relative at the very close Baptist Hospital and found Indigo hotel to be a very, very welcome sea of tranquility in a difficult time.

The room was spacious, clean, and very well appointed with everything expected plus Starbuck's single-brew coffee machine (and lots of pods for it) in the room.  The hallways were bright with beautiful blue and white glass sconces.

The small restaurant was an unexpected delight.  While the menu is limited, each item is unique and those I sampled were very good.

Oh, and free parking, too.

A real find, and I will certainly stay here again if the opportunity arises.  (I will also seek out their sister hotels wherever I travel!)

I was very pleasantly surprised with Hotel Indigo in Miami.  The location is perfect b/c of accessibility to SR-826 and proximity to Dadeland. The hotel itself was superb. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the cafe' in the lobby is phenomenal . Worth the visit just for the food and very well priced.  The room was spacious and clean, and you can never go wrong with free Internet access.  I will mention the room did not seem to get as cool as I wanted it to, but that's not to say there was a problem with the A/C.

Good value hotel, clean rooms, very comfy beds. Free car parking, just a few minutes drive from Dadeland Mall and about 30 mins from Miami Intl Airport.

Front desk staff friendly and helpful.
Free wired internet in room and free wifi in lobby

Awesome! The front dest staff was very pleasant. We stayed here for one night before we took off on the Smart Ride, it is a great location if you are participating in this ride. The hotel is spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and stocked with Aveda products. We will definitely be back again!

Friendly staff, nice room. My only complaint was that the cleaning staff was not replacing the towels, I had to call the front desk and request them. It is  located close to the mall with a Starbucks just across the street.

Sure, it might be way out in the boonies, you'll suffer through painful Miami traffic on US-1 to and from anything in the civilized reaches of SoFla, but for the low low price of $64.14 on a Priceline deal, I challenge you to do better on a last-minute stay.

The rooms aren't large, but the beds are huge and comfy. Plus, there's a Publix around the corner if you... y'know... want to pick up a bottle of cheap wine and rent a $1 DVD from the Blockbuster Express to cuddle up with that special someone and make it a night in.

Just beware that if you end up scoring a room at the end of the hallway, you're pretty much SOL on the in-house wi-fi. Come armed with your own wireless or suffer the ensuing suck.

Awesome, awesome, awesome! Those three awesomes were for how welcoming the staff was, the location of the hotel, and the room size. I was very happy with all three.

First, I spoke with the overnight manager (sadly when he started his shift, and before he went home in the morning) both nights I stayed here. He was very personable, gave me great area advice, and overall was a nice guy! Awesome.

The location is great - right off a major (toll-free) freeway and it is near shopping, a mall, food, great stuff all around. Seems like a great spot to travel all around Miami from! I can't wait for my return.

Two downsides - the wi-fi is very spotty in the room, and the room smelled a little like a Caribbean beach side hotel. The beach wasn't close to this hotel - it probably should not smell like that.

If you want unique give this place a shot!

It however did not live up to my expectations of what I paid for the place.

For the $$ I spent here, I could have gotten better elsewhere.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel.  I really think they should be 3.5
First the staff is super friendly and if you are a member you get to open a fortune cookie and I got 2000 points and 2 free appetizers (and the food was impressively good)
Rooms are nice, floors are a little slippery and they only have showers.
They always have Aveda products which I also love.
That being the Pro's and Cons are that the rooms are pretty thin :(
I heard both of my neighbors one even woke me up at 5am at their alarm going off, then again at 5:30 when it went off again then he went and filled up his bucket with ice.  I mean who does that at 5:30am? Filling up a bucket with ice.  Lesson, don't get a room by the ice machine, which I should know by now.

We got a good price at Travelocity. The hotel is nice. It was a pretty convenient location between downtown Miami and the Everglades. Our room was nice. The tropical fish theme was pretty cool, but most importantly it was clean. We'd stay here again.

I spent memorial day weekend (Friday - Monday) at the Indigo.  The hotel is priced right for it's location.  Bed was comfortable and each had four soft pillows.  The A/C was a bit lacking in that if you set the thermostat higher than 69 degrees, you would get hot air.
Also, it never cycled off so the noise from the unit was something to get used to.  My biggest dissapointment was with the cable tv.  They offer only the most basic cable. No hgtv, no OWN, nothing but tlc and hsn. They had hbo but the movies were old and kept repeating.  Lots of reality tv.  I have stayed at motels that were able to offer premium channels.  A hotel should be able to offer the same.  btw, only valet parking is available.  It is free but if you don't like valet parking you will self park in a grassy area outside of the property which belongs to the hotel but is really not set up to be a parking lot.  Once upon a time, i think it was a part of the landscaping. now it is dry grass.

I had a pretty bad experience here but the place isn't terrible. The rooms are extremely noisy because they have old windows and are right on the expressway. They were doing road construction over night when I stayed there so that compounded the problem. If you're a light sleeper this isn't the place for you. The night clerk was the worst when I checked in, they didn't have a king bed available as I had reserved so he told me the room was prepaid through Hotels.com and that I had to take the two double beds for my wife and I. When I asked to be moved to a room on the other side of the hotel because of the construction noise he said that it was that loud everywhere and he wasn't in charge of the road construction.

The good points:
I wrote a letter to the GM and she replied promptly and handled the situation.
Really comfy bed with lots of pillows.
Desk clerk in the morning was very nice and helped getting us a cab back to the airport.
I saw some of the knocks on the rennovation and they are accurate in regard to cheap laminate floors etc. It's true but it seems like they did the best they could in upgrading the product they had. It's modern, nicely appointed.
All in all you could probably get more for your money elsewhere.

I'm giving it 3 because of the location.. Near tons of stuff. But the hotel is kind of a smoke n mirrors. It's cool looking like the stuff at ikea, until you use it a while and realize it looks good but... What drove me crazy was the cheap laminate floor. Imagine walking in heels or any shoe. I suggest  you wear socks. I tried to conduct a conference call and couldn't move because of the loud floor. I would have gone bare foot but the floor is dusty. The best part was the bed. Comfy, nice linens,

A good hotel for what you pay. It reminds me of hotels in Canada, specifically Novotel. Hardwood floors, space maximized, ie closet door slides to become bathroom door. The bar in the lobby, outstanding! Wife had the best Cosmo ever, my gin martini was also amazing. We are on the non highway side so quieter I assume.

The hotel staff was helpful. Eventhough noone warned me about the remodeling going on six hours of the day right next door. A warning would have been nice. The room overall was clean and comfortable other the pillows being way too soft. The hotel staff should seriously consider dimming the outside lighting as it lights up the entire second floor at night. Even with the blinds shut the room was bright. Overall an ok experience but Hotel Indigo would be my second choice for a hotel.

Great king-size bed, clean and modern bathrooms and proximity to shopping and freeways make Hotel Indigo a top draw in the Dadeland area.  If you don't feel like driving you're in luck because Dadeland mall and over a dozen dining options are within walking distance.  And when I say walking distance, I mean in a 2-block radius.

At $109 a night (corporate rate), I felt like I received a good value.  The front desk was professional and courteous during my entire stay (2 nights).  There is a small pool located off the lobby and a small fitness center a few steps away from the elevators.

I did not get a chance to visit the UM Sleep Center on the 6th floor, but I'm sure I'll write an update on my next stay here.  Parking won't be an issue, regardless of what time you call it a night.

I really have nothing bad to say about my stay here...

Did not live up to my expectations.

I checked in on Yelp simultaneously as I checked in at the front desk and a deal for a free dessert popped up. After at least 15 minutes of the front desk trying to duck out of honoring the deal by saying they didn't know about it and they didn't even know what Yelp was (Seriously?!), we finally got a slice of key lime pie.

The reception on the TV was terrible and the picture was all static-y. The facility seems kind of old, there was a weird smell in the hallway and I don't think it was worth the rate we paid. However, the room was clean and the bed was comfy.

BOTTOM LINE: Next time, I'll indi-GO somewhere else.

Hotel is right off the highway and literally 1-2 blocks away from a gigantic mall. Got this hotel room 15 min before arriving to the hotel. Clean, modern, spacious and all around great room. Not sure why but they gave us a handicap room but it's still great. Only downside is that there's limited parking.

I was pleasantly surprised when i first walked into The Hotel Indigo. This used to be a Ramada Inn and now it has had a major face lift with new owners. This is a boutique style hotel with a modern feel. The minute i walked in i felt comfortable. There were guests sitting around talking with one another, and some had their dogs with them. There is a small cafe in the lobby too. My check in was a breeze and when i asked if i received the best price because i downloaded a coupon i was informed i could get even a better rate. I really appreciated the hotels front desk personal's honesty.
Once in my room, i was very happy to find it was very clean with a king size bed which was over stuffed with lots and lots of pillows. Something you only find in a 4-5 star resort or if you pay a top dollar.
The bathroom had a European feel, the shower had half glass with a large rain shower head.I would have liked the shower to be more powerful . I loved that the complimentary bath products they give out are Aveda.
There were hard wood floors everywhere, and a chair and reading lamp.
There was also plenty of outlets for computers and plugins. They did have a happy hour but i didn't go to it.
My checkout was also a breeze. I found a computer typed print out of my bill under the door. I didn't even have to go to the front desk again.
The hotel Indigo has free public parking and is close to shopping, restaurants, and venues.
I know that some of the previous reviews were not as receptive, but i find this hotel is and constantly trying to better accommodate their guests.
When i am next in the area i will definitely be staying here again.

Ok. I dont even write reviews but this hotel deserves one. Me and my Fiancé loved it all. The clean hardwood floors, comfy beds, excess pillows, easy A/C adjuster. The pool open 24 hrs is great. The outside lounge area is great. The resturant is so good, try the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, it is so big and good. It is literally around the corner from Dadeland Mall. Which to me is the best Mall in Miami. It is across the street from Don Pan Café and it is soooo goood and affordable. Me and my family ate for $19, 4 people. I am definitelly staying here next summer. I dont like staying on ocean drive at the beach in Miami. Too much chaos to sleep around. Downtown Miami is just to visit not stay and sleep, especially with family since everyone is drinking and you can literally smell marijuana everywhere. Hotel Indigo is only 15-20 min away anyways and you dont even feel that small drive because your so focused on everything you see on the way there. This is an honest review and i picked it based on reading the past reviews myself. I hope u make the same decision i did. I cant wait to come back !!

I had to update my rating based on an email from management.  After giving them a poor review on their website, the manager apologized for the mix ups and gave me 10,000 points for my trouble.  When I think back to my cold shower in July, I think they gave me points for that issue as well, so I must add a star for the effort to make me happy after the fact.

The location is very good.  It's close to shopping, food, etc.  It's not hard to get in or out of the parking lot.  As long as you get an upgraded room, it's fine.

A/C went out at home and my wife and I panicked.. after all we live in an igloo. So we got in the car and decided the first hotel we would drive past would be the one we stay the night at. Well, the first 3 hotels were completely booked so we continued down Kendall Dr until we hit the palmetto, and right behind it, like an oasis appearing, we saw Hotel Indigo.

Not sure what to expect, we took the last parking spot in the lot outside and walked in. The lady who greeted us set us up with a room and we were ready to go. We entered the room and felt at home; the air was one full blast and the beds were extremely comfortable. We took showers, fell asleep and woke up the morning without skipping a beet.

We were happy to call Hotel Indigo our home for the evening and wouldn't mind staying there again, if of course something happens, which in that case I guess we would mind. Oh well, you get the point...

I had a corporate discount to reduce my regular price from 210 to 178.  I expected a nice hotel since it's supposedly new, but from the beginning it was awful.  To check in some young guy spoke like he was reading a script and was rude.  The decorations attempt to look hip but they're so worn down it just looks cheap.  The room was a lot of the same the shower wasn't completely cleaned.  The TV looked like a 28 inch lcd you get for $100 at walmart not to mention the cable kept cutting in and out.  Then we could hear creaking noises all night not sure if it was from the toilet upstairs or people walking it was loud.   The people next door to us we could completely hear their entire conversation.  The bed was good except there was no comforter maybe the 3 sheets they give you are supposed to be good enough but they were soft.  Never staying at and Indigo hotel.  Stick with Marriott.  Same price better quality.

I was in Miami for a conference (seriously the truth) and I stayed at the Hotel Indigo in the Kendall section of Miami. When I arrived at the Indigo I was ready to turn around. But once I opened my room door, I was blown away. The hotel exterior is clear evidence that this hotel has been around for some time, but the interior rooms are clear evidence that Hotel Indigo is all about modern comforts for their guests.

I had the executive king room and it was marvelous. The beautiful hardwood floors were well-manicured and void of marks and scuffs. Once I saw the hardwood floors, I could not believe that more hotels do not invest in this feature. The walk-in shower was gorgeous and modern. The bed was soft and the duvet and soft pillows had me snoring every night of my stay. Thank God they wash the sheets because I think I got some drool in their, too. In addition, if you're a green-friendly, environmentally conscious like myself, the hotel will not wash any towels that are hung up and they will only makeup your bed (not wash the sheets) if you place the green card on top of the bed. It's an effort to conserve energy and water, and it's something I'm glad the hotel features.

The AC unit was easy to use and the hotel provides free guest parking and WiFI access. Also, I'm a health nut and I was so happy that the hotel was able to provide a microwave and refrigerator for me so I wouldn't have to live off fast food. BTW there's a Publix grocery store walking distance from the hotel. If you're too lazy to walk, there's a shuttle that leaves every hour and it takes guests anywhere within a mile radius. You just have to talk to guest services to get access. I have nothing but great things to say about Hotel Indigo. I will definitely bring my business here next time I'm in Miami, even if I plan to spend most of my time in South Beach.

A refreshingly local experience! I like unique and hotel Indigo has unique written all over it. The location is great - right off 826 ( a major freeway) and it is very close to Dadeland mall and Baptist Hospital of Miami. The hotel offers 120 air-conditioned rooms featuring CD players and flat-panel televisions. Complimentary wired and wireless Internet access! I checked in on yelp simultaneously as I checked in at the front desk and a bonus offer  for a free dessert popped up. I showed it to the front desk staff, they recognized it immediately and gave me a little paper to exchange for my free dessert at Poinciana Bar and Bistro. I chose the hot fudge cake- it was absolutely delicious!!!

Absolutely loved the decor throughout the hoteI! Totally enjoyed  the comfy king size bed stuffed with lots and lots of pillows. The Aveda amenities were a plus too. The front desk staff was very friendly and courteous throughout the stay.

If you are looking for boutique style hotel with modern feel at a great rate you have found the right place!

This place was chill.  Every staff member was so nice and greeted my party every time we went in and out.  The free bottles of water really helped since I wasn't used to the Miami heat.  THE KEY LIME CANDIES WERE SO ADDICTIVE AAHHH!!!

The rooms were a bit weird since they have hard wood floors I was really wary of the DIRT on the floor.. and possibly my party's SHEDDED HAIR LOL.  yuck.  I think the color of the wood would have made me feel better.

The housekeeper ladies were nice, but they didn't speak much English.

I didn't know this place had a pool!  It was also nice to just relax poolside in those little tents with the lounge chairs.  The fans on top of those tents looked really dangerous though.  Spinning spinning spinning.. they should probably check that they don't fall on a guest one day.  *shudders*

Some of the bed sheets had some blood on it and I didn't sleep well when I noticed it.  yuck yuck.  The shower is definitely not spa-inspired, but just a regular shower haha.  The bathroom also had this weird door where when you open the door, it closes the closet door and when you close the bathroom door, you open the closet door.  WEIRD.   Full length mirror was very helpful near the door!

AND THE KEURIG!!! WOOHOO!!! Great way to wake up in the mornings.....

Beds were so comfortable.. like sleeping on a marshmallow..and internet was good!  I appreciated the computer station next to the front desk too, so you can check into your flight before hand and print for free!  woohoo!

I've stayed here at Hotel Indigo several times on business trips. I have to say each visit gets better every time.  I like that their gym is open 24 hours, which is so convenient, you can still get a quick workout either early in the morning before your meetings or later in the evening after. I like that the beds and pillows are so comfortable, I slept very well during my stay. I really liked that they have a small café in the lobby which offers a full bar and serves hot meals that were surprisingly delicious!  (I really think the chef worked for some fine dining restaurant at one point!!) Everything we ordered either breakfast or dinner was yummy. Plus the café is open from 6AM to 11PM, again perfect for the business traveler.  The building is established, and the inside is charming.

Other amenities include an outdoor pool, complementary Wifi, room service, plus complimentary shuttle service. They are across the street from a little strip mall that has some local eateries and a Starbucks, and the hotel is a few miles from other main shopping malls and restaurants. They are next to a freeway onramp, but I really didn't hear any noise because of it. The hotel offers reasonable corporate rates and they do not charge for parking.  The parking can be challenging if you come back late, but you can usually go around the back and find something. The front desk is always helpful and genuinely friendly. Overall I have enjoyed my visits to the Hotel Indigo.

The Hotel Indigo is like your trusty best friend. With fresh baked cookies and small school charm, it is trusty and dependable, with a bit of class.

For four years, my parents have chosen this hotel for their Miami stays visiting me at school. I have stayed there quite a few times, myself.

Friendly service, nice enough rooms, and a convenient Coral Gables location right next door to Dadeland mall, a stay at the Hotel Indigo is always enjoyable.

Location: A little recluse in busy, crazy Miami. As opposed to South Beach hotels, you are not exactly in the middle of the action, rather conveniently located in Coral Gables near UM.

Service: Service with a smile is a fitting statement. Every employee I've spoken to has been personable and the comfy touch of cookies and snacks making it feel as if you're sitting in your living room.

Rooms: They're comfortable enough...don't expect the most lavish Four Seasons touch, but they are certainly comfortable beds and furniture.

Hotel Indigo provides a hassle free stay and a happy atmosphere! Like your best friend, Hotel Indigo is there.
