Flew from Oregon for a friends wedding in Miami and we stayed here. This is a pretty decent hotel. We took a red eye and they were able to give us early check in. We requested a microwave and fridge which was brought up to our room within hours of arriving. The housekeeping staff was efficient and did a great job keeping up on the room. Thier breakfast buffet and omlette bar was decent and it was an additional $12 a day which was well worth it rather than trying to find a different place for breakfast every day. The bar staff was very tolerant as there were a lot of us from Alaska down for the wedding and we can be quite a rowdy bunch. We partied well into the morning hours every night and even jumped in the pool when we were not supposed to. Besides being 20 miles from Miami Beach where all the happening stuff was it was a pretty good place to stay. I gave them 4 stars because some things about the rooms were a little shabby (i.e. missing lightbulbs in the lamps, stained couch cushions, loud ac, tv remote did not work) and there was no Wi-fi in the rooms.

Flew in to Miami and decided to live among the locals. This place is great!!! Huge suites, buffet breakfast and fast and courteous staff. Beds are super comfortable and walls are thick and sound proof!!! Has a pool and gym open late into the night and centrally located only 12 miles the airport!!! I am glad I chose this place!!!

We are originally from Miami and came back to visit some family and friends. Also missed the yummy Miami food! My wife loved the shopping and this place was near it all! Great staff! The hotel could use some repair, so I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But, the staff's attention to detail makes up for any frustration we might have had with the condition of the hotel. I hear that they might be closing this place down. That's just a roomer though. I hope not! We had a great time and were treated fantastic by everyone we encountered! I have a service dog and he was also treated great! If you are looking for a centralized place to stay with nice people and a really clean room, don't miss out on this place. The 2 room suite was as big as any apartment you could rent to live in. I visited with my wife and 3 of my 5 kids. Oh yeah! The price for the room on WWW.Hotels.com was also even better than the hotel could give me. We were originally going to stay for 5 days and ended up adding 2 more days, we were so happy with this place. Thumbs up!

I recently stayed here on a business trip. The room was not very clean. The bathroom and shower were full of hair. Housekeeping came an hour later with a lint brush to clean. Not acceptable!

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BAD!
First, it's definitely an older property and needs updating. There is not much at all around the hotel. The bar & kitchen closed earlier than stated. Breakfast was lacking and the same old stuff everyday. Everything is about 15-20 minutes away.
Know the until......
I had left my phone charger behind. I called the next day and was told to hold while they checked the room for it. They said they found it and they were sending it to me.
AFTER 8 TIMES TALKING TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK, I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY CHARGER. Ok, I got it....I forgot my charger and it is my fault, but everyone I talked to kept saying I will send it myself and than they don't send it. It's like a big game to them. Just say hey we didn't find it or we have no way of sending it. I even offered to pay for it to be sent via fedex.
To keep telling me they are sending it right now and not sending it is just unprofessional & rude. KEEP THE CHARGER BECAUSE YOU LOST MY BUSINESS AND ALL MY CLIENTS BUSINESS. I'm a travel agent and tour company and you made a mistake having horrible customer service on this one.

I'm happy you love your pets, but the dander they release is toxic to me.
On a recent trip to Miami, the need for a hotel room became necessary as pets were added to all Family households. Because both my spouse and I suffer from Pet Allergies, for the first time ever, had no where to stay in Miami.
With a search on both my TripAdvisor and Hotels.com apps, we settled on the Kendall Hotel and Suites for both cost and central location.
Upon arrival we were slightly confused by the layout of the premises and the name. There was an additional sign - "Extended Stay" that was not a part of any other name. There were two buildings visible upon entrance into the parking area. We chose correctly were checked in and told of even a third building. There is a NO PET POLICY at the Hotel - Yayyy.
The rooms are separated from the Front Desk and main restaurant. The residential buildings are named after birds, Egret and Heron. We were checked into Egret.
There were two elevators but only one was in service for the totality of our stay. The room was large and well laid out with a king sized bed with bench, love seat, table with chairs and desk with chair. There was also a large balcony. For an Extended Stay I was surprised by lack of Fridge and Microwave. Fine for us though. There was a buffet breakfast daily, same selection everyday but good. Eggs, Potato, pancake, bacon, sausage, fruit, pastry, bread, bagel, juice, tea and coffee.
We ended up changing rooms to double beds on our third day, because of a personal issue (not a hotel problem) The Front desk was really helpful and changed rooms without a fee or explanation. That room was even bigger.
Yes, the hotel is a bit out dated but it was clean and very well kept by the staff who cleaned the rooms very quickly and not at all intrusive.
The pool was nice and the grounds are well kept.
I would stay there again, especially if the price stay at $85 per night.
