Nice venue! I really enjoyed this place. With corporate traveling this is really good place to recommend.

booked this hotel for 6 ppl on NYE last minute on their website, paid $190 after taxes for a 2 bedroom suite  both rooms w king sized beds 2 bathrooms, w. a pullout couch and full kitchen. it was a very nice chic clean modern room. it was obv just a place to lay our inebriated heads down at night after the nights festivities in mia. nevertheless, 2 members of our group were coordinated and functional enough to make mac and cheese when they got home, but I did wake up to the burner still on. full hot complimentary bfast that we didnt wake up for. very nice clean hotel w. friendly helpful staff!

My husband and I have been here for 6 weeks, and we'll be here another 4-5 weeks for his job.  It's a very clean hotel, and the room is comfortable. The kitchen in the room is very nice and comes with most of the things you need to make a meal.  The staff here is very, very friendly.  I've met a couple housekeepers who don't speak English, but they are courteous and we still manage to communicate.  The gym in this building is small but clean and nice for a quick workout.  You also have access to the bigger gym in the neighbor building, and it's really nice.  The outdoor patio has been a good space for grilling out with a group of people.  There's only one grill, though, so it gets a little crowded when more than one group is out there at a time. The pool area is nice, too.  The free breakfast is excellent.  I was really surprised by the selection.  The free dinner buffet on Mon, Tues, and Wed is ok.

The only complaint I have is the wi-fi.  It works well enough most of the time on my computer to do basic things, like Facebook, check email, write a Yelp review...  but it's terrible for any major downloading or tasks that take more bandwidth, like streaming video.  Since I'm not at home to keep up with my DVR, I try to watch some of my shows online while my husband is working.  Sometimes it works with some skipping and stalling, and most times it doesn't work at all.  My phone seems to struggle the most with the wi-fi.  I get a faster connection when it's on 4G.  A lot of the time, my phone can't pick up the wi-fi at all, not even in the hotel lobby. This makes it difficult for updating apps or doing things that need more internet connection strength.  Overall, if you're only staying here for a few days or a week, there's probably enough wi-fi to get by just fine.  If you have to live here for 2-3 months, consider this a heads up.  At least it's free.

don't bother getting good service if you are on a discounted rate. they treat you like crap if they notice you didnt book directly from them. i even tried talking to the manager and she just defended her staff. no consideration or the will to even offer to make the stay better. if  you get the same treatment, don't say i didn't warn you.

We love Residence Inn and tend to stay in them all the time now since having a kid.  The amenities are simply the best, full kitchens, living space and comfy beds.  Also you can't beat the free breakfast.  My only gripe here is that you have to pay for parking, I hate doing that.  With that said this is the nicest, probably newest RI we have stayed in.  The decor is modern, I loved the Miami artwork in the room.  I also just love the Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner.  This place is close to the airport but also next to the freeway so its convenient too.  There are a bunch of good places to eat close by too like Versailles, La Carreta and the Latin Cafe.

I travel through Miami often and still have not found a hotel that I absolutely love in the airport area. I just randomly happened to stay here and it was a little more than I needed for just an overnight layover. This would be a great hotel if you are in the area for a week or longer. Not a great hotel for just one night.

Big room with kitchenette if you're so inclined to roast a game hen or whip up some popovers.  Full fridge for your adult beverages, er, I mean, health shakes.
Extremely comfy bed, roomy enough for two...or more.
Convenient location near the (hellacious) airport so when you've finally stumbled out of there, you have somewhere very close by to beat your head against a wall.  Location not so convenient to Miami Beach.
Clean.  It counts.
Modern.  Flat screen TVs go a looooong way these days.
Speedy check-in/check-out.  Love leaving a key-card in my wallet, er, I mean, on the bed and rolling out.
Courteous staff.  A vanishing breed.
Reasonable rates.  It may be Miami, but it's not *cool* Miami.
Surprisingly nice, affordable sports bar on premise.  I'm still thinking about those nachos two weeks later.

Yup, I'd say this Residence Inn hits all the right spots.

This Residence Inn is a great place to stay in Miami, it is central to much of the city, with fast access to most everywhere.  It is in the Marriott Airport complex which means you have access to both the Marriott and Courtyard restaurants and pools.  This hotel has a very nice whirlpool spa and the grounds have ample dog walking grounds.  Friendly people everywhere and since it's near the airport and a new hotel, the rooms are very quiet.

Checked in on Friday with three people and our dog Niko, we have the Marriott Rewards program so it's where we usually stay if it's not a long trip. Last time we were able to get the 2 bedroom suite as the one bedroom for three of us and our small dog was a bit cramped. This time we weren't able to upgrade or even pay the difference b/c the hotel was that full, which I guess is a good thing. It wasn't that bad for one night as the staff made sure we had everything we needed and they loved Niko our dog as well! Big+! When we were leaving this morning my grandfather accidentally dropped a glass bottle of a Snapple on the entry way floor and it shattered, one of the most friendly staff members named Yessenia promptly stopped what she was doing and immediately came to start cleaning up the broken glass. She didn't complain at all, she just seemed more concerned about helping, I offered to held and she said no very politely and said that it was not the customers job. This was so refreshing, all hotels could use an employee like her. She is why I gave the hotel 5 stars! If there were more stars to give I would bc she went above and beyond! Bravo!

I stayed in the King size studio.  I was a little apprehensive about staying in the king room and not the suite because I had a long two week stay.  However, I was pleasantly surprised that the room was roomy.  The hotel itself doesn't have all of the amenities but its on a "campus" of hotels and you can use your key to access amenities at the other hotels.  The restaurant was phenomenal... the steak is a must!  They also have a shuttle to take you back and forth to airport and car rental on the premises if needed.  Breakfast was hot and ready and delicious every morning.
A great stay

The staff is friendly and accommodating, there's free wifi, the rooms are clean and a comfortable size. The only reason why I can't give them 5 stars is because the parking is so messed up. It's a giant parking lot shared by 3 or 4 hotels and impossible to navigate at night.

This hotel is so clean & the staff is very friendly. We got an excellent complimentary breakfast buffet that was delicious every morning! Then certain evenings we got complimentary dinner. The room was very nice and the bed was so comfy! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Awesome hotel and very clean! The king bed and pillows were comfortable; I had everything I needed in the kitchen; the staff was friendly and it is pet friendly. The location, I feel, as a Miami native is perfect. Take the 836 to the beach, to the dolphin mall or Doral area, go south (via 836 to 826) to south miami (see my mom), and hit Le Jeune to go to the Gables or to Versailles/or La Carreta for some good coffee. It is also near Latin Cafe which was pretty good (only had the coffee there) but it was always pretty crowded.
They offer free breakfast, shuttle service to MIA, car rental service, heated outdoor pool, two hot tubs, two restaurants, and on certain days an evening social that includes free appetizers.
Highly recommend this hotel!

The property has 3 Marriott hotels: Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn-where we stayed, & Courtyard. Be careful! You must pay for parking: $17 per day!!!! Unbelievable!!! If you're not driving your car in & out, you pay $5.00 each time.
There are Hertz car rental drop off stalls-very nice. MIA Airport shuttle service.
The 1 bdrm is nice with the bathroom inside the bedroom, but there's a separate bath in a different 1 bdrm where you're not disturbing the person w/the bdrm, if you have a few occupants like we did, in several rooms.
I had a huge issue w/the 1st suite- the sofa was extremely worn, so they changed our room ASAP.
When I called for more washcloths, the young lady at the front desk replied, 'you need 3 additional towels'? Wrong answer.
When I passed the desk, I reminded her of the towel request, then I told her that my profile on Marriott has extra towel request. She said nothing.
Needless to say, it is a beautiful property, real money maker, $219 per night , never would I stay here again. Just not worth the money!

The hotel was amazing! It was an older hotel, but it had been completely redone. The inside was so inviting and it felt the way you'd expect a Florida hotel to feel. The hotel was part of a Marriott "campus" which also included a Courtyard by Marriott and a Marriott. The entire campus was gated and beautifully maintained.

Our room was perfect! Since we had two pets with us we were given a room on the first floor that was also near a side entrance. It was great because we didn't have to bring the dogs through the lobby every time we took them outside. But the dogs loved going through the lobby to visit with the staff and hotel guests, so we still went that way a lot. It was a 1 bedroom suite (with a king bed) that had a full kitchen, living area, and a huge bathroom. The kitchen was a great size and included a full-sized fridge, microwave, stove/oven, and even a dishwasher. The cabinets were stocked full of everything you could need during your stay. They even had microwave popcorn for you! There was a table for two right by the kitchen so that you could sit down and enjoy your meals.

The kitchen opened up to the living area which included a desk (with an ergonomic chair), a coach (that had a pull out bed, a chair, coffee table with ottoman, and a nice sized flat screen tv. The window in the living room made the whole area feel light and bright. But it did have the stand hotel blackout curtains in case you wanted it a bit darker. We took advantage of those in the living room and bedroom since we were on the first floor and people could see in.

One of the best things about the room was that there was a door that separated the living room area from the bedroom and bathroom. Once through that door you can to the main part of the bathroom which included a large sink area with loads of storage. There was also a closet in this area as well. In its own room was the toilet and the shower. The bedroom included a wonderful king sized bed, a dresser with a tv, and another closet. The room had everything you needed and still felt cozy.

The room, along with the rest of the hotel, was very modern. The decorations were in nice bright colors, the artwork was modern, and the light fixtures were even fun. They were the kind that you would pick out for your own home. They didn't look like something that came from the "generic hotel lights" catalog.

The hotel lobby was so open, bright and inviting. Most of the walls were windows which made the space seem even bigger than it was. The whole lobby was filed with comfortable furniture groupings that just screamed "come have a seat!" A complimentary breakfast was offered every day and the breakfast area was off the lobby. This provided additional seating as breakfast was crowded every morning.

Right outside the lobby was a beautiful courtyard area that included two tables dining tables and some really comfy couches. Connected to this area was the hot tub. Since there were three hotels on this campus there was a large pool area that all the hotels shared. It was a very short walk from our hotel, but it was nice having the spa right there as well. Especially since it was right outside the fitness room.

This hotel really did have everything you needed for a weekend stay or a month long business trip. In addition to the great rooms they had a complimentary breakfast buffet, business center, fitness room, a laundry room, complimentary wireless internet access, airport shuttle, a meeting room, and a little store to buy food & drinks. The campus also includes a restaurant, bar, Starbucks, and a pool. And of course, the hotel is pet friendly :)

They staff was amazing! When we were telling my grandfather about the great staff he asked if they all knew why we were there. Some of the staff did and some didn't, but they are all so friendly and helpful. The staff at the front desk makes you feel welcome from the minute you walk in. One of the best things is that they KNOW their guests. We were waiting to ask a question and there was a gentleman checking in for a 4 week stay that stays there often. The woman checking him in asked him all about his last trip, his wife, and even one of his coworkers. Another woman that works at the front desk keeps one of their frequent guests' dog with her during the day so it isn't alone. How cool is that?

After our first night there we wondered how things would work with housekeeping since we had two dogs in the room. I decided to just go ask for clean towels at the front desk and be done with it. But instead we were told to just let them know when we'd be leaving with the dogs and they would send housekeeping to freshen up the room and drop off clean towels while we were gone. The housekeeper made the bed, brought us new towels, cleaned up the kitchen, vacuumed, and even left us a note saying that she hoped we had a great day. It was so nice not having to worry about someone coming into the room while the dogs were there and we were not.

I was super impressed by the welcoming Checkin I received by "Natalia" She was all smiles and very cheerful. This was an added plus because I was coming down with a bad cold and her willingness to do whatever they could to help me get better mad me feel good. She immediately asked what was wrong. When I explained that I had a scratchy throat, she ran to the back and got me mint a lemon tea to help soothe my throat. Now that's service! I also noted her pleasant demeanor and chipper attitude towards other customers and colleagues alike. What a wonderful person to work with.

Unfortunately, my experience with Laura after Natalia has shift ended was a nightmare. She was very resistant and had the worst disposition. Asking for things like sugar seemed to paint her. She had a nasty attitude and was very condescending. Someone like her should not be working in the front desk. She should definitely not be in the business of customer service. I hope they train her or put somebody with a smiling face and a nicer attitude soon. For this could definitely detract from their business. It's definitely something that I will consider first before choosing this particular Marriott property in the future.

Overall the room was wonderful the location was wonderful, and Natalia was awesome! But they've got to do something about that Laura or it won't be good for future customers.

This property overall deserves a five star rating. However, I'm getting it four stars for now until they do something about Laura and the customer service regarding her. i'm in the Miami area quite a bit for cruises and vacations. I'm Marriott Elite and always stay at Marriott properties. That said, I may change my rating to five stars if changes are made with regard to Miss Laura and The customer service in that regard. Get it together Miss Laura! People are always watching you!

I was really disappointed with my stay. We flew in to Miami to take a 7 night cruise the following day. After a long flight from Los Angeles was looking forward to getting settled and relaxing.

Check in was ok.  Front desk agent was courteous but certainly wouldn't set the world on fire with her personality. Got to the room on the 6th floor and it was nice. Got settled and went over to the full service Marriott for some food. Came back to shower before bed.  While getting ready to shower noticed 2-3 ants in sink. While doing a closer inspection noticed there were ants all over vanity and sink area. How are there that many ants on the 6th floor?!?

Went down to front desk and girl told me she would send engineering to look at it. I explained that I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in a room with ants. She then begrudgingly changed my room. Never offering any assistance moving, we had quite a few bags.

After dragging all my bags to the new room, I was walking through lobby and she offered me 2 free drinks over at the courtyard for the trouble. No thanks, I'm going to bed.

Got to new room, sheets were dirty, removed the dirty one from the bed so I could sleep.  Furniture is VERY worn in room also.

We were supposed to stay there 2 more nights when we got back from the cruise but I said no way and cancelled that reservation. Stayed at another hotel in Miami and had a much better experience. For 180/night I expected a lot better.

I should have left that night but I was exhausted from flying all day. Just an overall disappointment. Won't be staying here again!

Stayed here twice already and both times we received the same great service. Our first visit we did not have reservations and the staff help accommodate us. We had been on the road about 18 hours arriving there way before check in time, they allowed us to have some their awesome breakfast and gave us a room shortly after that so we could rest (which I thought was so thought full of them). Room was clean and big. We had an issue with the AC and they got maintenance to work right on it. Our second visit we flew and they arranged a free shuttle for us that was right on time! Location is not too bad. About 20 min from South Beach, 10 min to Bayside Market place. There is a small bar in the lobby. Breakfast is fresh and delicious! Laundry station on site is so convenient. Totally recommend!
