    This former Wyndam didn't disappoint.

    Family trip this time.

Great staff at checkin.  This Sheraton has Club lounge and they are worth every penny.  Being close to the airport, there's a lot of turnover traffic with day stays and cruisers, so the lobby can get busy at times.

Being SPG members helps since they maintain the SPG Gold/Plat line specifically, unlike some other properties.

The room was spetacular.  The beds are better than 'heavenly'.  Completely supportive with individual springs so the kid's movement didn't bother at all. Plush pillows abound (4 per bed!).  We had a Pur room which had an air purifier in it.  Wow.  Very nice touch and appreciated from my allergy prone kids.  Didn't hear a plane either.  The sound proofing was done very nicely.  Anyone in Miami can tell you the flight path goes right over the hotel....yet only time we heard a plane was walking outside.

Pool:  kept extra warm....a little bit too much, but the kids loved it.  Good views of the golf course and peripheral canal--which had jumping fish no less to entertain the kids.

Garage:  a bit of a walk, but covered and goes to the messanine level, bypassing the lobby (nice touch).  Park on the 2nd level to minimize steps (4 steps) on the luggage.  The parking system is a bit of PITA as it kept losing the coding on the key to let us in/out.  They are used to it and the valet attendent comes running down the ramp without 30sec to assist.

Extras:  WiFi:  free.  Nice touch for a Sheraton.  Fast too.  Complimentary water in SPG rooms.  Again, the staff is superb and friendly.

Access:  Road construction stinks--thanks to Miami's 10+ year airport white elephant.  Best way to get here is via douglas rd (NW 37th Ave).  Avoid Le Jeune unless you want to add 10min to get here.

Truely an enjoyable stay and pleasantly surprised for the Level 3 SPG hotel....this could easily be Level 4 with the service and amenities.

Not recommended for lack of amenities and overpriced charges.  My wife and I stayed here for 3 days over the weekend.  You get a basic room, on a small size, that looks quite old.  There's no fridge, no microwave.  No balcony.  The bathroom has no vent.  They charge $15 for parking each day even for guests! That's just ridiculous.  It was such a pain to get coins for the laundry machine, there's no coin changer and the front desk doesn't have any.  Plus the dryer machine does not dry your clothes!  Breakfast buffet is very basic, $20 each, again, overpriced.  Overall, you can find better place for the amount of money you would end up paying here.  One nice thing about this place is free usage of the computer and printer in the lobby area and free shuttle to the airport.

Our group stayed here before an early morning flight to Cuba. Aside from the arrival of law enforcement who banged on all the doors on my floor (still do not know what that was about) many in our group had plumbing problems. In my case the shower jammed on hot and I could not turn it off. Front desk did not seem too concerned.

GREAT clean spacious room bad location depending where you trying to go, they offer free shuttle to and from airport, hotels have pool, restaurant and gym down fall no microwave or refrigerator in the room and they don't offer COMP breakfast but for the most part I will return again.

Pretty wonderful surprise of an "airport hotel". My wife and I stayed here in between flights, and were just expecting a nice place to rest our head for the night, but were treated to great customer service. We really appreciated the 24/7 free shuttle to and from the airport. The lobby is expansive, modern and well-appointed. The hotel is very business class, and I wouldn't suggest it as a destination hotel by any means, but for a great dinner and night's sleep, this is a great option. The bed is heavenly (not the Westin brand) and I know this is a fully thing to commend, but the toiletries really leave you feeling refreshed and its nice that they add shaving cream to the usual assortment of items.

    The Good
    1. I had an overnight layover and was initially impressed with the service at check in.
    2. Went up to the room, nice modern decor.
    3. Room had a nice view of the golf course and lake.
    4. They have a free shuttle to Miami International Airport.

    The Bad
    1. Sat down to write a phone number at the desk, someone had used the pen to stir coffee or urine. It smelled so bad and leaked all over the place.

    2. Went to use the bathroom, it was extremely small and the tub had not been cleaned. Several hooks were missing from the shower curtain and the pipes under the sink were exposed and rested on the towels.

    3. There was an ironing board but no iron.

    4. I called the front desk to find out about printing my boarding pass, no answer. I called for 10 minutes from the hotel phone and my cell. Could not get anyone to pick up. Finally, I went downstairs to the desk only to find there were three or four people behind the counter having a good time while one checked someone in.

    5. $12 for self parking? Two people came to see me and we went out for coffee instead of paying $12 for an hour or two.

    6. Internet $9.99 a day. No thanks.

I did not complain because I was only there for one night. This was my first and last stay at a Sheraton.

This hotel is A ok for the balanced pros and cons

    - overpriced items at the small store on the lobby, such a rip off
    - the food at the hotel restaurant was so bland not even salt and pepper can save it
    - the waiter was not at all nice - like we needed water because we can obviously choke on your food here, but nope, no water till we actually nailed him down
    - we were not offered bread like the other tables, maybe because we did not smile that much,, just a hunch
    - the wi fi is not free at all, it doesnt even open any page to be able to access anything its $10 for unlimited wifi
    - the shuttle took a while to get to the airport and back to the hotel when we were just on our way there- waited three times for a full shuttle before we actually arrived the place - allow extra waiting period in case
    - movies were almost box office priced why cant we just go out and watch it on a theater then...not happy at all

Okay enough ranting heres the Pros
    - prices for the room was reasonable even for christmas we got an $80 reservation which was a good deal- King Sized bed
    - they have a washing machine that costs $1.50 in the 3rd flr. at the very end of the hall with a dryer in case you ran out of clothes - perfect
    - the people at the lobby and the valets were nice
    - the shuttle drivers were also sweet and caring
    - the rooms are huge, clean and very well kept
    - the pool was relaxing on a hot day esp when its not crowded with screaming children
    - we were accommodated right on time and no problems with checking out either
-close to the airport is also a plus

We had a fantastic time both inside and outside this hotel.  First, the front desk staff, the luggage/bell staff, and the car valet service were all simply outstanding employees.  Always a good sign when the front of the house is helpful and service-oriented.  Our room was very nice, large and clean with good design elements.  The club lounge on the the top floor has a great view and is one of the larger club lounges I've ever seen in a Sheraton.  And their breakfast and dinner noshing food was better than most Sheratons, so kudos to the hotel for an extra effort for their Starwood Preferred guests.  The interior bar service and the food in the adjoining restaurant is very good.  We had a french onion soup and burger and both were great.  The outdoor tiki bar is amazing, the outdoor terrace and outdoor restaurant seating area are likewise beautiful.  The swimming pool is really nice and relatively large (for a hotel pool), and it backs up to a golf course separated by a 20-foot wide canal.  Alexie, who works at the tiki bar, and the entire staff were just outstanding and extremely gracious and helpful (even driving me to a local cigar shop/roller).  The hotel is only 1/2 mile from the airport, and we WILL stay there again next time we're in Miami.  It really is that sweet a place, and how often do people want to come back to an airport hotel?

I had a layover on the way to Punta Cana, the hotel was a short shuttle ride away.
There is nothing close walking distance nor would you want to walk around day or night.
Our flight was early and caught the 4:30 am free shuttle to the airport.
The rooms are a bit dated but only slept in it for a few hours.

Huh. Super expensive considering that you have to pay $10 for wifi, the breakfast will set you back at least 20 bucks and why doesn't anyone at the restaurant ever refill your water glass??  Rooms are big, clean and comfy, but not sure that it's worth it considering the cost and other options nearby.

This hotel is a quick shuttle ride from MIA, our flight was delayed 8 hours so they accommodated us with a daily rate.

The breakfast was wonderful outside in the tropical breeze on their patio and overlooking the golf course.

Then spending a few hours at the pool and the Tiki Hut Poolside Bar before returning to the airport in perfect timing for our flight.

Oh yes, the Sheraton Shuttle is Free.

Thank You Sheraton Miami Airport for the much needed Get Away !

We really enjoyed our stay here. My wife and I were visiting for my 30th birthday from Houston. The room was nice and cozy and the bed was really comfortable. You can tell this was an older hotel that got renovated but they got it right. The onsite Gym was soooo perfect and had all the newest machines for a traveler to get a good workout in.

We got a free breakfast voucher our first night and some lady that had to leave early gave my wife and I hers so we ate free breakfast the whole time we were there which was a blessing.

The hotel offers free shuttle to the Airport which is about 2 minutes away which runs every 15 minutes and since we dont rent cars and take public transportation it was super convenient because the bus transit was at the airport. We took a dip in the pool twice and it was clean every time. I cant really say anything negative about the hotel. Great rate,Clean room,Free breakfast,Internet, and Gym is all a travel addict like myself could ask for.

Definitely not a swanky resort, and it was overrun by kids who got underfoot (even in the gym), but comfortable and the staff was fantastic.

I have celiac, and when I called the hotel about gluten-free dining, the Catering Manager, Frank, was incredible.  He asked me about my preferences over email, and I let him know what I'd want to have when I stayed at the hotel.

My plans got a bit wonky, and I didn't make it to the dining room until after the kitchen closed, but the evening manager, Elvis, knew I was expected and still had my gfree meal prepared AND brought out gfree bread to have.  Amazing!  I couldn't have appreciated the service more - it's rare to find a place that makes me feel so safe and unrestricted in my food choices when I travel!

    Thank you, Frank and Elvis!

maybe we were tired from the long flight, but we were very happy to leave again after one night.

the room was very small, very loud (internally from the hotel floor and other rooms but also externally from air planes and the metro which connects the car rental companies with the airport)

breakfast buffet was ok, but very minimalistic

Missed my hotel  rez here because of flight delays, but I definitely recommend it for the convenience of long term parking that's close to the airport.  I was in and out in a hot Miami second, with a shuttle immediately available for curbside service at MIA.

There's no on site car wash, so urban dirt was deep after three weeks, even in the covered lot.  Just hit the wipers, because car washes are within blocks.

The way from the unattended garage  to the hotel lobby is along a covered walkway.  Apparently, the parking garage came after the hotel because the logistics are weird.  Be prepared to walk a few extra minutes with your bags

My family and I booked a number of rooms here for my sister's wedding, which was happening a short drive away.  I have to say that our stay was excellent.  The staff was really friendly through out the hotel, and our rooms were very comfortable.  The beds were great and we fell asleep immediately after getting into them.  The bath tub was missing some of the rings holding the shower curtain, which was weird, but otherwise it was clean and nice.  The room was clean in general.

The exercise room had good equipment and we enjoyed having the chance to work out.  The pool was clean and relaxing.  The view was nice from one side of the hotel-the view was of a lovely golf course, with Miami in the distance.  The other side faced the slightly less scenic Miami airport.  The hotel bar was hotel bar expensive, but a cocktail was at least served with nutty snack mix.  They didn't have a set drink menu, but they had all the typical booze options and a few beers on tap.

The only thing making this not a five star experience was the restaurant experience.  We went for breakfast, and the waitstaff seemed all over the place.  They don't automatically fill your water glass, which was weird.  The waitress also didn't bring over a reasonably sized pitcher of cream for our party of five, and we had to keep asking for more....annoying when you just want to drink your coffee.  Breakfast was also super spendy at $20+.  I'd suggest bringing breakfast goods with you.  We came in for desserts later, and that was a joke.  They were out of $7 cakes, and it would be another $7 for a small ice cream.  We ended up getting ice cream and cake from a grocery store nearby instead when we were told they had two desserts left that we wanted, for our party of nine.

There are different restaurants that deliver to the hotel-we had two different pizza menus slipped under out door while staying here, so that's a better option too.

I'd definitely stay here again, just would skip the restaurant all together.

An OK experience overall. It seems to me the age of this hotel really works against it being an amazing property. Although renovated and with a great Lobby and Gym, the rooms themselves seem just "bleh!".

A little more technology-driven update should be done to the rooms... almost impossible to find an AC plug to comfortably plug laptop in, no Ethernet port, and wi-fi connection is spotty.

Bathroom needs cleaning and updating and is extremely small. A/C unit in room doesn't work properly... its either freezing or off...

The thing that ticked me of the most was the fact that they charge 15 dollars a night for parking on top of the room price... definitely not a policy to attract customers.

What does improve the experience is the attentiveness of the staff. The night manager is amazing, and a very nice guy.

Pleasant surprises at meeting centers are rare, yet they were our experience at the Sheraton Miami Airport.

Our meeting rooms were spotless, fully equipped, great food, and very attentive service.  That's what we would expect, and normally to obtain these services at similar hotels we need to provide subtle reminders to the staff.

The Sheraton Miami Airport went beyond expectations with a staff that uncannily could anticipate our members' upcoming needs, from the welcome at the parking garage, to providing Wi-Fi access codes before being asked, even to placing full briefcases of needed office supplies every meeting room.

Overall, great work for a flawless meeting.

Sorry to say that I would never stay here again. Walls are paper thin (screaming kids next door kept us up until after midnight - and after traveling, we were exhausted), the air conditioner was almost non-existent and our room smelled like bug spray. I still gave this place 3 stars only because the staff was so helpful and nice.

All I can say is the rooms look EXACTLY like the pictures. They offer free WiFi, free airport shuttle as well as a free bus to and from the mall. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the price was great.  Our cruise let us off at 900 and check in was not until 3:00 according to the website.  The receptionist was very welcoming and offered to hold our bags, assign us to a room and get it prepared as early as possible.  She let us know about the shuttle to the mall, so we went and did some shopping.  By the time we came back our bags were perfectly safe and our room was cleaned up.

The rooms feel very spacey and modern and we loved the ability to print our boarding passes in the lobby!  This was very helpful since we obviously weren't traveling with a printer. This hotel is very accommodating for people with severe allergies as well. They have special rooms that are kept purified (and I would assume vacuumed well) to help you breathe easier.  All rooms have amazing views of the golf course and water with an ultra clean swimming pool, Tiki bar, and fitness center. Loved it!!

Though it is close to the airport as far as we can tell the rooms have been soundproofed.  There is no noise coming from outside whatsoever, even when we stand listening at the window, and the hallways are super quiet as well.  We can't hear our neighbors on either side or the storm brewing outside right now.

Will definitely be using this hotel again if we are ever near Miami international airport.

The hotel is old, they have renovated some, but still needs work. They need to get an ambientation (is that even a word?) company to make it smell zen. The rooms have a chemical smell. Very strong smell. The bathroom does not look squeaky clean. Hairs on the tub and floor. The tub tiles' grout filled with mildew. Lonely, scary parking garage with no security.  Not staying again. The restaurant doesn't look clean. I can go on and on...

Stayed here after a long and exhausting international flight. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was polite and pleasant. we only stayed for the night but the bed were super comfortable but room was a little tight.

The one issue that I had during our stay was that the curtain in the bathroom is very thin and I ended up with water all over the floor.

    The Good.
    1. Ideal overnight lay-over when you've got an early flight.
    2. Prices very reasonable.  $80 for double bed through Priceline.
    3. Minutes away from the airport.
    4. Good view of the golf course.
    5. Fitness Center & Pool.
    6. Free Wi-Fi.

    The Bad.
    1. Minutes away from the airport means there's nothing nearby.
    2. Only view is the golf course.
    3. You'll need a car or a taxi to get anywhere remotely interesting (even a convenience store).

Bottom line: Good place to bunker down on the cheap but limited options otherwise.

The staff are very helpful.   However, I have stayed at nicer hotels.
When I first entered my room, the cleanliness was not to my standard, and I had to switch rooms.  I could see greasy streaks across countertops and on the desks, the bed sheets had dimples in them, as if someone had sat on the bed.   I tried to imagine what had happened before I arrived... Once rooms were switched, it was better, but there are a few stains on the carpet, and the bathtub has that soap scum feel to it, like it has not been scrubbed recently.   Nothing has has super clean feel to it.
Beyond that, this is a place people come to stay when they want to be close to the airport, or play golf.   They wake up early, kids running down the halls, and are out on the course or wherever they're going.   The walls are thin.
At least the overall look is relatively modern, and the beds are comfy.

After a 5 hour flight from Boston, in late January 2014, we were very tired and this Sheraton more than met our needs for a welcoming place to stay overnight before going to the cruise port the next morning. We were given a free upgrade to the SPG floor with a nice view of the golf course and access to the club area for supper after we visited a local casino, and free breakfast in the nice Rickenbacker Restaurant. The staff was very kind and courteous to us. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would want to return to this hotel again if we are in the Miami area for another cruise.

Not the Sheraton standard I'm used to or expect! The only good thing is that it's close to the airport if it wasn't then I would have liked to give zero stars.

It's very old hotel... the Wi-Fi constantly disconnects, the lamps inside the bedroom didn't ALL work......Dirty bed sheets (yellow spots on bedsheets, reference pictures).... Check-In took a long time... The pool area isn't nice.

All in all a huge disappointed and will NOT be returning!!!!

Tired and forlorn.  Renovation in progress.  Noisy workers shouting in hallways at 7am. Corridor carpets smell of moldy dampness that's unsuccessfully masked by rug cleaner solution.  Bathroom fixtures are dated & worn out. The room size is average.  The bed is in good condition and comfortable.

Only ate bar food late last night.  To call it mediocre is a kind judgment.  It was poorly made, flavorless, greasy crap and way overpriced..

The only redeeming quality of this dump is the proximity to the airport.

We stayed here after spring break because it was close to the Miami Airport.  This allowed us to drop off our rental car the night before our flight so we would not have to hassle with it in the morning and hit the shuttle to the airport.  It worked out perfect.  Plus we got the executive floor and they had a really nice snack and drink hour in the lounge on the top floor.  We hit the Casino since it was close and had a really good time.  Room was nice and comfortable.  Best part - I left my favorite sunglasses and a nice hard travel case for them at the hotel.  I did not even know that I left them there - just knew they were lost.  Well Nicole in the office took the time to mail them to me (it had my name in the case).  Got it in the mail yesterday.  What a pleasant surprise that they would take the time to do that.  That is what I call great service!

I stayed here for two weeks on business, and after triple-verifying I could get early-check-in through the company travel agent, I had to wait hours for my room to be ready.  I was satisfied, though, because they upgraded me to a huge suite for my whole stay.  Very nice of them!

The first few days went okay...the breakfast buffet was amaayyyyyyyzingggggggg.  Amazing.  I probably ate my weight in waffles while down there thanks to the buffet.

The pluses:  the ambience of the place is quite nice.  Everything looks pretty modern, ugraded, the suite was HUGE with a little loft with the bed and motorized window shades over an enormous wall of windows overlooking the beautiful golf course.  The sunsets were just breathtaking from my floor.  The gym was almost always empty and kept stocked with towels and sanitizer, with a good array of machines.  The pool was small, and weirdly out in the open...like the bar/restaurant patio was just right there...you could eat your dinner and watch people near nude in water...weird.  The location was excellent if you were just flying in and out of Miami.  Complimentary airport shuttle and the metro station is about to be completed soon, with a stop right outside the hotel.  The hotel itself was pretty relaxing.  I like the veranda 'smoking area' because it was covered and still open to the golf course and you can sit and watch thunderstorms.  The staff was pretty nice too.  Outside of my business dealings, one of the women who worked the business floor noticed I had a horrible horrible sunburn on the back of my knees (forgot to sunblock just that area of my body!!!!) and she gave me a huge complimentary bottle of aloe with numbing stuff from the gift shop, which is normally like $25!  So thoughtful of her!

    The disadvantages:
Location!  This really is an airport hotel.  If you're busy like I was, you have 0 time to go out and find food...you have to drive in traffic to get anywhere decent (decent food/decent price) so you end up settling for expensive or shit.  Or you end up doing like i did the first night and another two nights and spending $24  on a CAESAR SALAD.  A standard-ass caesar salad... I washed that down with a $10 beer , which I mostly bought so I'd forget I just spent that amount on romaine leaves.

Parking!!!!  Arghghghghhhh what a pain in the ---- cannot tell you how many times I had to call the front desk to run out and reset the parking thing...you don't get your parking/hotel key on one card, you have to have separate ones and they don't tell you that if they touch even a little bit, both ERASE all data!  So both my room and parking keys failed me on a daily basis, usually when I was in a rush to go find food or get somewhere for work.  Very inconvenient!

Lastly, the bugs.  I understand this is Florida...I was born and raised in Georgia, and we had palmetto bugs everywhere, but as a nice hotel, you expect it to be bug-free.  My third night or so, I was showering and screamed when I found a roach trotting around inside my hotel-issued loofah.  I scooped it up in a plastic bag (loofah and all) and put it outside my room for the hotel staff to see.  No response!!!!  I was shocked.  I requested for my room to be cleaned and they didn't.  I felt like it was not being taken seriously, even though I gave them the actual bug!  So I went to bed feeling pretty unclean and threw out any of my food I could't put in the minifridge for protection.  Next day, I came home and found another roach, crawling up the wall.  I couldn't catch it in time, but I suspect it's the same one I caught running across the table as I flicked on the light i the morning.  After I spoke with management for what seemed like the tenth time, they did offer me a room change, but I didn't want to have to move all my stuff after a week of being in there.  I just requested for my room to be cleaned more frequently and maybe for an exterminator to come.  They obliged and I didn't have an incident afterwards.

Still not the best experience, and unfortunately my company's first choice hotel was unavailable so we went with Sheraton.  Maybe this was an isolated incident, I don't know.  I guess try for yourself!

Boy, did we get the red carpet treatment- literally!

The staff here was among the best and friendliest we have encountered on a Starwood property.  Constantly going out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and were comfortable.  We stayed for 2 nights prior to a cruise and one night following our cruise.  The back tiki bar and pool area is beautiful and backs up to a golf course.  Alexei who works at the tiki bar is awesome!  He even remembered the drink I ordered the week prior and brought it to me- loving that!  We only ate at the hotel restaurant once but it was also very good.

Rooms- we stayed in both a regular room and a Junior Suite.  The suite, of course, was very cool- a two level room with a spiral staircase.  The regular room was also lovely, our AC unit was a little loud but that wasn't too big of a deal.  The beds, as always in a Sheraton, were heavenly!

Even the company that runs the Sheraton's valet service outside is outstanding.  Gustavo, Geo and Michael deserve a special shout out for going the extra mile for us- including rolling out an actual red carpet for our shuttle ride to dinner- now that is service!  We had no issues with the airport shuttle- it was always running on time.

Overall- great place, great people, we will definitely stay here again!

Not impressed. Bed was pretty comfy, but the room smelled weird and my towels didn't smell clean, so that was a major turn off. The staff was great, but I wouldn't stay here again unless I just had to. There are better hotels in the area, but this price was pretty cheap and close to the airport.

Disappointed :( the hotel looks good but there is clearly some management issues. Experienced several issues that I overlooked until... I ordered roomservice for breakfast but the food was never delivered. Extremely hungry & disappointed.

Excellent hotel which is sooo close to the airport.  It was so easy to ride the free hotel shuttle to the airport in order to catch the Metrotrains and Metrobuses to various destinations around town.

The hotel offered a fabulous breakfast buffet and I was surprised that it was included with my stay.  This was a great bonus in addition to the great nightly rate I got.

All the workers I encountered at the front desk, in the hotel restaurant, and working the luggage and hotel shuttle were all first rate.

I would stay here again on a future stay in Miami.  I had a wonderful room at the end with windows on both sides of the wall.  The bed and sheets were soooo comfy!  They were very white and like new!

We stayed here for one night after a cruise. We needed a hotel close to the airport so we could get to our flights easily. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it is pretty close to everything else. We were walking distance to the bus station that took us straight to Miami Beach and the daily pass was inexpensive. The hotel staff is wonderful and try hard to make your stay enjoyable. The beds and rooms are extremely comfortable and conducive to a great night sleep. We did not have any complaints about this place. I am pretty sure if we are in Miami again we will be staying here so that we can avoid the inflated rates of the hotels located right on Miami Beach, but also be close enjoy to all that Miami has to offer.

I'm here this week and it seems very disorganized. I'm not a fan. I am scheduled to stay here next week as well but will probably move to a Marriott if it keeps up.

Issue 1. Got here yesterday and the room type I booked wasn't available yet. It was a little early, so no big deal. I go back down at 3PM to get moved and they asked if I'd be in my room and offered to bring me the key for my new room "in a few minutes." 3 phone calls and 3 hours later. someone knocks and immediately enters my room without waiting two seconds and says "is everything ok with your room?" I told her I was waiting to be moved to another room and she looks puzzled. A few minutes later, someone finally shows up with new keys. This is how they treat platinum elite members?

    2. After moving rooms, I go to leave and my room key doesn't get me out of the parking structure. I go to the valet parking people who assure me someone will be over to let me out. Sat there at the exit gate for a good 5 minutes until someone finally noticed and lets me out. Doesn't help that the "push for assistance" button doesn't do a goddamn thing or the people inside just ignore the speakerbox. Went back to front desk to get keys reprogrammed and waited at least 10 minutes with no queue at all, just two guests shmoozing with front desk clerks. On a returning stay, the exact same thing happened where my key failed to let me out after clearly asking to ensure it was properly programmed.

    3. Elevators broken yesterday. Common thing here based on previous posts. Staying on the top floor isn't fun when it takes 10 minutes for the elevator to come and then stops on 8 out of 10 floors each direction.

    4. Pool bar was closed yesterday for private function.

    5. I hung the make a green choice door hanger outside yesterday. Come back today, room is cleaned; no voucher, door hanger is right where I left it.

    6. A few minutes ago, employees in the lounge asked me for my room number, presumably to make sure I belong there. Isn't this why the lounge requires a key to enter it in the first place? Maybe this is normal as I'm somewhat new to SPG properties, but I've never experienced it before.

    7. Shady delivery ads for delivery restaurants like "Tony's Roma" left underneath my door several times a day for phony businesses I can't find online at all. Where is hotel security to kick these guys out? I've caught the same guys twice now...you think they'd know what they looked like by now.

Stayed one night at the Sheraton (former Wyndham) before an early flight. I had my doubts as we pulled up outside the hotel. When walking in to the lobby it did however look very nice. We were the only ones in the lobby, the front desk staff did however still spend more time talking to each other than helping us to check-in quickly.

Coming up to the floor we were at the 'fresh' and new feel from the lobby was all gone. The corridors were long, dirty carpets and the roof was very low giving it a very cramped feel. The sign with the room number outside our room had also been replaced with a piece of paper with the room number on.

The room was probably modern some time during the 90s but now it felt in desperate need of refurbishment. It had more the feel of like a Motel8 or something like that than the Sheraton. All the necessary things were however there (such as TV, coffee maker, desk, chairs, iron etc) so it was functional.

The best thing about the room was the bed, it was comfortable and big.

Other good things about the hotel was the shuttle bus (running every 15 minutes) and the location close to the airport was also good. Still there are other better options for airport hotels (for example the Best Western I stayed at a few weeks earlier).

    Thumbs up! Excellent staff!!

I recommend the Sheraton, especially if traveling to or from Miami airport. The staff is a complete delight! A special thanks to the beautiful Agneus and Luis (at the front desk) and Mayling Marenco in the Sheraton Club Lounge! I'm greeted with such big smiles and everyone always go out of their way to accommodate me. It's so refreshing after a long day traveling!
Also a special thanks to Alan that runs the valet. He is so nice and helpful. They also have a nice shuttle that runs to airport terminal every 15 minutes!

Stayed here for a pre-cruise night and it was great!  Very clean and updated.

Shuttle picks you up at the airport and delivers you to the hotel.  Check-in was very quick and don't forget to inquire about the complimentary breakfast coupons.  That was probably the biggest perk about staying here.  Made to order breakfast, servers pouring you coffee, eating at your leisure....for free!

We also dined in their restaurant for a light dinner.  For being a hotel, we were all very impressed.  Prices were on the higher end, but it was extremely convenient.

Also, free Wifi using their password provided at check-in.

Booked our room at hotels dot com for $150/night.  Not too bad at all!

I reserved a handicap room, wheelchair accessible and a roll in shower. I arrived at the hotel at 5:30pm and they gave us our room. It wasn't handicap accessible so I had to go back to front desk to get another room. They give us another room that was supposed to be handicap accessible and when we went into room, the bell boy had to rearrange furniture because a wheel chair wouldn't fit past chair near the entre way. Then I looked in the bathroom and there was a tub that wasn't handicap accessible. So I went back to the lobby again and they said, oh, well the room you were supposed to have isn't clean yet so you will have to wait. We waited an hour and a half for the room to be available, bringing us to 8pm...a two and a half hour wait for our room. The hotel staff was rude and unapologetic and said well, what do you want us to do about it, your just going to have to wait. Who knew that it takes a cleaning lady 1.5 hours to clean a room to should have been ready for us at 3pm. When we finally got into our room, there was no shampoo so we called to the front desk for shampoo and then went to the restaurant to eat. The food was terrible. French onion soup wasn't edible, the hamburger was dry, and the caprese salad was mainly green leaves. Went back up to our room to see shampoo bottles thrown on the ground from house keeping. SERIOUSLY??? I will never stay here again.

After flying all night, I got to my room to find lipstick and makeup on the sheets and desk ads that had been doodled in by a kid and left behind!!!!  Exhausted surprised and miffed I went down stairs and asked for a room change. The *only room available would be mid hallway where I would have to listen to vacuum cleaners all day while I try to sleep. I'm back in the room with no sheets on the bed. Terrible

Wanted a place just to crash tonight and this has been the worst hotel that I have ever been too !

No refrigerator, lot of air traffic noise, the bath tub drain does not work, exhaust in the bathroom does not work, phone has wrong extensions on it and you cannot even reach the lobby with the phone in the room

Does not deserve a single star and also a Sheraton badge

I will say the beds are nice, but everything else fell short of expectations. Wall outlets didn't work, no fridge, air conditioning wouldn't work, terrible pizza, super over priced "gift" shop, and no warm welcome upon arrival.   I will stay somewhere else next time.

Stayed here for a couple days as I'm brand loyal to Starwoods and wish I had picked another property in Miami- just a subpar experience in general.

    Bedding: modern and comfortable
Bathroom: small, barely working toilet and sink- zero water pressure
    Wi-Fi: Fast/Reliable
Parking: $16/night and hard to find a spot
    Gym: pretty good
    Nightstand outlets: No
    TV: Didn't use
    Fridge: No
    Microwave: No
    Coffee Bar: Yes
    Hotel Bar: Yes
    Make a Green Choice: Yes
Other Amenities: Club lounge was good, but some of the food was of questionable quality (seemed old/reused)
    Would Return?: No

I had to stay here because the conference I had to go to was being held at this hotel. The sheets had orange stains on them. The room smell musty and like stale cigarette smoke. The towels smelled like sour milk. Various thinks in the room were broken or rusty. The front desk person that helped me was very nice but she couldn't make up for the gross room.

My review is for the parking services. I have been parking at the Sheraton for over 3 years now and I definitely will continue. I reserve from cheapairportparking.org and always get great rates. The staff is always very helpful and the shuttle runs frequently to and from the airport. It's very convenient and a great value for the service.

I stayed here last year for my birthday. I was treated in a phenomenal manner. I was also given a plate of dessert when I first checked in since it was my birthday, I was given matches as well to light the candle that was on top of the lava cake and it was so sweet! The beds are very comfy, the pillows are amazing. I'm actually going to purchase some from their online website. Room service was alright, overpriced but alright. I'd recommend ordering from a restaurant around the delivers. My view was nice too. I meant to get around to writing this review sooner and I can't remember the name of the girl who checked me in at the front desk. Shes short, wore large black framed glass and had dark hair, she truly made all the difference in my stay. She was excellent. I stayed around April 20 ish 2014. Anyways thank you to all the staff who made my stay superb.

This review is strictly on the hotels lounge. I have never stayed here.

I was here a year ago at the lounge. To my surprise when I visited this year the lounge was totally revamped. I did not think the former way was bad. The new set up is trendy with comfortable side tables as well as comfy couch areas. So you have choices according to your mood. We chose the bar which is angeled just right and has a nice feel to it.

The drinks were well prepared.  My friend ordered the Salmon which came with a hefty portion of grilled asparagus.  He said it was the best salmon he ever tasted. We shared a cheese pizza with truffle oil. It was delicious and needed to prepare us for the nights drinking schedule. My hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. He enjoyed it but found himself taking the top bread off half way because it was too much.

After our concert we returned about 11 to find the lounge in full throttle.  We enjoyed a flat bread pizza. They have a decent late night menu.

Prices are on the high side but I'm sure I'll be back next year.

I had a total of 4 rooms and ONE being the presidential suite. Let me start with the regular rooms were great! The hotel is located CLOSE to Miami International and a bus terminal where you can take bus 150 for a 30 minute ride to South Beach. Very easy and convenient. The presidential suite is almost beautiful. The view was amazing, and the space with the spiral staircase was pretty cool. There are no safe's in the rooms.

However, what makes this hotel one of the worst I have ever stayed at was the on duty manger's customer service and the overall condition of presidential suite I reserved.

The picture shows a LARGE table that has service for 6 people as well as a bar table top to seat 4. There were actually only 3 chairs at the table.

The pullout couch was broken. As soon as maintenance walked in he said oh yeah this couch has been broken a long time. The maintenance guy suggested to sleep the opposite way since when you laid on the couch bed your head slanted backwards it would be more comfortable to sleep with your feet slanted. There were also EXPOSED nails on the couch. Not safe at all. So I called back down to the manager on duty she came up to see the couch bed. As she continually cut me off by saying "I understand" my friend asked her if she would sleep on the bed as is or allow her mother to do so. Her response was when it's time to go to sleep she can sleep on any bed and her mother would be happy with a place to lay her head. I tried to negotiate something for the night, it's after midnight we're tired and ready to go to bed. I asked for an additional roll away and I sent the two teens upstairs to the King to sleep and later I get a call there were NO roll-aways available.

Next I asked for a regular room so that two people could sleep in I was offered a discount on another room instead of paying 289 you can pay 239 for an additional room. Then she insulted me by telling me you got this room at a great rate by using some of your Starwood points for a discount. I don't understand WHY using my Starwood points was an issue.

I was then offered a junior suite or $20 less a night. So by this time the two teens are sleep in the King bed upstairs and now you want me to wake up the two teens pack up ALL 5 of us and move to a smaller suite? She said that was the only solution for us. I asked to speak to her boss and I was told that was impossible and she would not wake up her boss to deal with this instead she'd give me 3,000 Starwood points and free breakfast. I told her I was unable to sleep on 3,000 starwood points and free breakfast. I even offered to HELP move a pullout couch from another room and she told me that was not an option and ALL of the couches from the other rooms were the same condition and they would be sure to not book the Presidential suite for anyone who needed the pullout couch.

We never resolved the issue and we took the mattress off the pullout couch and putting it on the floor which made it bearable to sleep on versus the broken frame.
I called the desk first thing Sunday morning to get the extra roll away bed and they delivered it promptly. You would think with such a bad situation someone would have contacted the manager above her on Sunday however, this was not done and I was told I would get a call from the general manager on Monday morning, the day I was to check out.

When I went down to use the free complimentary breakfast I was told by the front desk staff after reviewing the notes it says I REFUSED the complimentary breakfast. I NEVER refused it I told the manager it was NOT an acceptable resolve for sleeping on the floor. I had to go in a circle for the breakfast.

I eventually spoke with the general manager's assistant and she was VERY helpful and understanding of the situation and AGREED it was handled improperly.  As long as that manager is there and the hotel doesn't care about the comfort and quality of their hotel it's a WASTE for the presidential suite.

My daughter (14 month old) tried to climb their nightstand. There were a huge glass lamp sitting on the top of it. The night stand was high and light. It wasn't strong enough to hold itself. Also, the lamp wasn't stabile it was shaking when the table move. So my daughter fall down with the glass lamp in her face. She got a lot of stitches on her face. We called an ambulance and went to the hospital from 4pm until 2am. There was a deep cut on her lips down to here jaw. Also, there was another cut next to her nose, and a stitch down her eye. The hotel knows that I had baby before I checked in. The room wasn't prepared for children. How can baby with 14 months pull a whole nightstand down? It was a horrible night. hopefully, no one will experience something like this.

Also, before we checked out, they told us we wont charge you anything and you are free to go, but they already charged us the whole amount!!

Big plus for this hotel is it is VERY close to the airport and they offer free airport pickup.  It is perfect if you are going on a cruise or want to be close to the airport.  If not, this place is not near anything!  There isn't much to do here as the property is on the small size. I figured out how to use public transportation, but on the weekends the buses are EXTREMELY slow and far apart.  It took forever getting anywhere but I could do it on metro rail and metro bus.

They have two eating options; the restaurant which is in the high teens to 20's price wise, or the bar.  I ate at the bar 3 times.  The food was good and it was reasonably priced.  The lobby, bar and restaurant have all been renovated and look very nice. If you are hungry when you get off the plane, eat at the airport. There are a lot more choices there!

They have a small gift shop which is very over priced.  Get snacks, sundries or what you need at the airport before you leave the airport!  A bottle of water was over $4.00, chips were $2.79 (which sell for $1.49 at the grocery store) ice cream was over $4.00, I was shocked at how expensive everything was.

The hotel is an older property and the rooms are nothing fancy.  The beds are super comfy but the rest of the room is just basic. They are limited with their electrical outlets but I finally figured out they had added power strips to the back of the desk which was a big help. They have a small outdoor swimming pool and a indoor fitness center.

My experience at this hotel was the entire staff was extremely friendly, helpful and nice. I was here for 3 nights.  On the weekends they are very, very busy as they do a huge pre-cruise business.

I chose this property as it was one of the least expensive in this area and they had free airport transfers.  If I were here for any other reason I would choose to be closer to where shops and restaurants are located as this place was too isolated.
