The entire staff has bent over backwards to accommodate me. I landed my 1st night quite by accident with a very last minute clearing house special.  Normally, when i book a hotel through  an online discount broker, the reception is less than warm.  Not the case at YVE.  Jonathan, Stan and Jose are stand outs, but everyone had a smile or a kind word.  I wish it were because i am really special...but they treated everyone like this.  It was refreshing.  The rooms are clean and efficient. The location was across the street from my event.  But everything is in walking distance from great restaurants, Whole Foods, CVS and a  24 hour corner cafeteria w/ serious Cuban coffee!  I will be back.

Me and a buddy stayed here for a week to do some golfing in the area. The rooms were very small but were clean and did a good job cleaning every day. Bathrooms were extra small could hardly turn around. The bar and restraunt were very good except the bar was out of stock on bud light and several other beers but it was a cool place to hang out. Valet service is very high priced and took quite a while to get your car 20-30 minutes for 36 bucks a day.
The best part of the place is it is located walking distance to the Bayside Park which is a super cool area to hang out. Lots of bars, restaurants, and shops, also live music every night. I would stay here again.

Too cold air, no hot water. We booked through Hotel Rewards the descriptions were exciting and the location seemed primo. Check-in went well. But after that the problems started. we left Atlanta a day after an Arctic Blast had sent temperatures into the teens, the air conditioning in our room proved that the Cold Blast was not arctic but Tropical. Maintenance was summoned twice and finally diagnosed the problem as a faulty ?, (nice guy but he knew no English.) The walls are paper thin and the night was spent listening to a family next door who never took a moments pause from the gibberish. Early this morning they were back at it. Oh well who needs sleep. I'll just ha e a shower, oops not a drop of hot water. The hotel is the pits, do yourself a favor and stay at a one star. Because the YVE is a zero.

Got here with the music pumping in bar downstairs. Took 10 mins to get elevator up, Def not enough elevators feels like.  Tried ordering room service but they said music was too loud so they closed the room service.  Got a room called boutique and it's basically a closet with a fancy name, small window, and view of wall on 12 floor so we had to wait for alow elevator. Gym has no free weights

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've been to hundreds of them. Loudest room ever, I could literally hear the neighbors breathe and they left TV on loud all night, had to call front desk 5 times at 3am, speak to a rude receptionist until they did something about it. No snacks in the room, no mini bar, no room service menu. They advertise the hotel as rooms with "great views", mine was a mini window facing a garage wall. And their "gastro pub" is a bland sports bar with zero atmosphere. Elevator takes forever to come up, I eventually had to go down the stairs with luggage after waiting for 15 minutes to find out at check out that there's an "amenity fee" for wifi that they never gave me a password for. Sounds like a joke, it isn't sadly.

I'd like to start my review by stating that my overall experience at the YVE hotel was, okay.

The good things about the hotel were cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself. I loved my room, I especially loved how cool I could get the room with the ac. The check in/out process was very swift. Who doesn't love a fast process like that? The tavern down on the lobby level was a plus. I had to try it out, and when I did I was definitely satisfied.

The bad were the very small bathroom, I could just imagine how crammed a tall person would be. The lobby had a weird smell to it. The tavern had gotten my room service order wrong, and when I came down to ask for buffalo sauce because there weren't any on my wings. The cook insisted he had put it on there already. I had just had wings the day before and they were far from the previous order I had. They gave me a hard time about the whole "wings sauce" situation. Fortunately the female bar tender helped me out. The daily fees for "wifi, and gym use" along with the newspaper, coffee, and two 8 oz waters was kind of annoying. If these extras are "complimentary" or how the wifi was stated as "free" why am I getting a daily fee of 12$. I'd also like to state that the phone did not work when I tried calling the front desk. I called from my personal phone, and still didn't get an answer, but when I went down to the lobby I seen two people just standing behind the front desk. I will definitely be staying at another hotel my next visit to Miami.

Hotel was clean and service was great and spot on. My only complaint was that for the price of the rooms, that the hotel doesn't have fridges in the rooms to keep drinks cold. My wife and I had a great view of Biscayne Bay from our 16th floor room. We could see the Port of Miami and the cruise ships coming in, etc. We stayed one night and to a cruise to the Bahamas on the MSC Divina.... K-Love Radio Christian cruise.... Check out the website KLove.com for available radio station near you.

My husband and I stayed here for one night before our cruise was set to depart the following day. The main reason for so many stars was the hotel staff. Hands down, they were some of the best staff we have ever encountered at a hotel; the concierge was awesome (eek! I hate that I forgot his name)! The hotel was bought out right before our trip - it used to be B2, and I know that sometimes previous reservations can get lost in the chaos - I emailed them prior to our arrival and got the OK that our reservation was good; check in was super-fast and easy.

The reason I can't give this hotel 5 stars is that while the staff was great, I feel as though the rooms could offer just a bit more. For $200 per night all-in, my expectations were considerable. I did not find the bed super comfy, and while the bathroom looked nice, once you actually start to get ready you realize it is simply impractical. There is no counter space whatsoever, so ladies if you need to lay out all of your make-up and hair items, it's a no-go. I ended up using the desk in the room to keep all of this stuff on. They did provide a hair dryer which was nice; I didn't take mine obviously because less is more on a cruise. But there was no refrigerator provided. No, the room never said it came with one, but in that price range it should. The hubby had no place to keep his meds refrigerated. Something the hotel should look into.

I've never stayed in a "boutique" hotel before. Very cute, quaint. I liked it overall. The mornings and mid-afternoons can be quite hectic. Since it's an older building, smaller, and limited on space, you'll see nothing in the lobby but people's luggage. It's not a big deal for me, but some people may not want to see the mechanics of a hotel being run.

All-in-all, the staff was great, the food downstairs was great, a few minor tweaks and this hotel would get my 5 stars. Heads up - if you ask, they'll give you discount tickets to some tours. Take advantage of it. They were pretty good.

My husband and I stayed here for one night for a quick getaway to Miami. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly nice and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was small, but we weren't spending much time there anyway. The king sized bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. The sheets were soft and there were a ton of different pillows. The bathroom was small, yes, but when you aren't spending a ton of time there, who needs a spa-like bathroom suite. The only thing missing was a box of tissues and I only noticed that because I had a cold and needed them. The bathroom could use one extra shelf for putting toiletrie bags on, but again not a huge issue. The AC also worked very well and since the room was small, the temperature changed quickly. We didn't encounter any issues with the elevator or loud music and we were on the fourth floor. There was noise from people shutting their doors in the morning, but it was not a disturbance. We felt the amenity fee was reasonable since at most hotels now there is a $25 fee for staying there- no water or complimentary wifi or evening drink. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Incredibly nice staff. The rooms are quaint, but I'll say new that is good. I don't always want to spend a huge amount of time in my room. They also reminded me of the hotel room that I had while in Venice. Beautifully modernized.

Am I at a nightclub or a hotel? The elevator was super slow, but you can tell that it is coming because of the nightclub beats that you hear.

We stayed here before and after our cruise.  Rooms were small, but it is located downtown Miami close to the cruise port and Bayside Mall.

I would stay there again. It was a little pricey, but I guess it was an OK price for a hotel located Downtown Miami.

We placed an order for room service 15 minutes before they closed and the order never showed up. I called a couple of times to find out what was going on and got the run around. I went down to find out what was going on and only got an attitude from the staff. I wont stay here again and suggest that you do the same.

My girlfriend and I stayed here and a Saturday and found a fantastic rate at The YVE considering it was the weekend, South Beach Food & Wine Festival was going on, and the Heat Game.  We Uber'd around town to many convenient locations like FIFTY Ultra Lounge, The Epic Hotel for a great lunch on Sunday.  There's a CVS, a liquor store, an all night Pizza Rustica, and a 24hr convenient store all on the same corner.  The rooms are a perfect size with comfy beds and insulated well from the noise of traffic.  The hall are pretty noisy I can say.  The only reason I didn't give a full 5 was hallway noise (mostly from the doors slamming themselves, not the guests) and I thought it was odd there are no doors on the shower.   Perhaps I'm just weird, but I like a door on my shower; their's was just designed differently :-P

There is a particular employee who is MOST CERTAINLY a 5 and can make great suggestions on what to do and where to eat.  After checking out, we left our bags in the Luggage Check-In with a Gentleman named Steven and he was absolutely TOP NOTCH.  Helped us with suggestions on where to go, assisted with our luggage and car doors upon exiting and took his level of service with much pride; my lady and I both appreciated him and agreed he's stellar.

All and all, stay here!  Its cozy, didn't feel over priced, walking distance to American Airlines Arena, Bayside, and several other quaint DT Miami restaurants.

Been to a lot of hotels on this tour, our group was generally disappointed here. It has some nice features, we like the 24 hour CVS right next door, and the proximity to the Park and the American Airlines Arena is great. Also the staff were always great. However, it leaves a lot to be desired in some ways.

There are only two small elevators for a 17-storey building, which is not enough. On my first day, my friend and I waited in a line for 9 minutes just to get into the elevator. The bellcap said to always leave extra time when dealing with the elevators, as it often takes a while. There is a decent gym, but no pool (in FL heat it would be ideal to have a pool). The main issue was the rooms - everyone made jokes about how small the bathrooms were. My room was up on the Penthouse 17th floor and was bigger, but oddly enough had one TINY window in a corner - which is weird for a penthouse view.

One thing I noted on check-in; we had to sign a form authorizing charges etc and there was an additional $12.99/day charge for "complimentary" internet and the water bottles, use of the gym, etc. So when you see the booking rate, it's not the full amount of the room, really - these are things included normally! Why not charge for elevator use? This is like when airlines charge extra for bags and food - they're all finding ways to add to your COST without telling you up front. Strangely, the guy checking in next to me was signing his form, for $9.99 on his version - with the same wording. Hmmm.

It's good if you need this location, and other reviews mention the location for cruises and festivals. Anyways - there are a LOT of Miami hotels, some better, some worse, just will probably go elsewhere next time.

Great service. Small rooms. No pool.

I booked this hotel on Expedia. It's in a great location downtown. The staff was super helpful the entire time and provided lots of awesome suggestions for things to do and places to eat that locals enjoy.

The rooms are a little small and the bathrooms are cruise ship tiny!! That, and not having a pool are my only complaints and why I didn't give 5 stars.
