This is my second visit to this hotel in two years.  Location: Very Good, just down the road from Disney (maybe a couple miles), convenient businesses located just across the street (CVS Pharmacy, 7-Eleven, Chinese, pizza and a Pondarosa, souvenir shop and a couple cheesy ticket places).  Rooms: Large suites, not too fancy but comfortable.  Amenities: Free breakfast is really pretty good, eggs & toast made to order, on buffet line is bacon or sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs, cereal, canned fruit, breads.  There's also a full-service restaurant.  Nice outdoor pool with whirlpool.  Value: Excellent.  At about $149 per night, the best rate in the neighborhood.

A perfect hotel for families on a budget.  Great staff too.

Stayed a couple nites here for a trip to Disney World.  It's a straight shot down the road to the parks...about 3 miles into the complex.

The first day, we made the big mistake of taking advantage of their free shuttle service.  They contract with the bus company.  The 10:30 AM shuttle never showed up at all, and then one came at 11:30 and said, oh nooo, I'm going to Animal Kingdom, not Magic Kingdom.  Needless to say, everyone waiting for the shuttle nearly tore the guys eyes out, so he managed to get another shuttle there pretty quickly after. It was the same kind of story coming home at night, and let me tell you, it's exhausting "having fun" at Disney World.

So, while I know the shuttle people are not employees of Buena Vista Suites, the whole bad shuttle experience totally diminished my whole perception of the place.

On a more positive note, our suite had a nice whirlpool tub and a fridge and sink.  They serve free continental breakfast buffet which was pretty good and plentiful.

Buena Vista Suites was really a nice place to stay at for how cheap it is. We were able to get a deal for $90 a night in one of their regular suites... nothing too fancy, but a pretty spacious room, comfortable bed, and clean bathroom. This hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast buffet, which really was delicious!

It was also very convenient, because we were able to buy our magic kingdom tickets here. I would beware though, because we were offered our tickets for half off, which of course we took, but the catch was that we had to go to the Sheraton Hotel one morning to listen to their spiel about why we should buy a time share. They were extremely pushy and rude, and it took over 2 hrs (when we were told it would only take 90 mins). Extremely annoying to say the VERY least. Our experience with this shouldn't reflect our time at buena vista, but just a fair warning to those who want to buy your tickets through buena vista.

as for the shuttle that goes to the theme parks, we didn't have to wait around long for it like the previous yelper stated, but i would definitely request a shuttle service schedule beforehand so that you can plan ahead and around it.

A friendly but annoying hotel.

The staff is friendly, they have a pool, hot tub, and little fitness center.  The keys kept demagnetizing and I literally had to get a new key five times in my three night stay (they key card was pretty much good for one or two uses) and it wasn't near any credit cards or magnets.  It's a little annoying they don't have toothbrushes or sewing kits, it's like the one trip where I forget my toothbrush and my button comes off is the one time I stay at a hotel without those services.  I wasn't a fan of their hotel soap/shampoo, and the toilet wouldn't flush (but that got fixed immediately).  Free breakfast was okay, nice variety if greasy and canned. Made me feel like I was back in school eating from the cafeteria.

Not bad!  I liked this place.  The concierge was very nice and helpful.  The front desk was also very helpful.  The room was clean.  The beds were comfortable.  The windows however did not have full curtains.  There was only a sheer.  But there are no neighbors to look into the room.  Just kind of concerting for people who are a little shy... like me.  They warned about pizza people leaving flyers under the door... and they do.
They state that early Breakfast is the best experience (7:30), then the experience decreases the later the morning.  Maybe the food might get older (steam table), but the air conditioning was blasting - I was COLD!!  And there were a LOT of little screaming kids running around.  The parents were not controlling them probably because there weren't that many people down yet.  I don't know if it is better being early... just because the little kids are up early.
But I still like the place!

The manager did email me a response to my complaint. She was right on it and emailed me with a decent amount of time. It is good to know that their management cares about the quality of services.

I will give this hotel another try and update on my next experience!

This place is a great value for the price.  We came during the off-season (November) and booked our room through a Fall Savings deal.  We thought the suite was very nice and the deal came with complimentary breakfast, free wifi, and free parking.  Very professionally and friendly staff.  Disney World is less than 10 minutes away and Universal and Seaword were less than 15 minutes away.  We didn't use the free shuttle service since we had a rental car and we wanted the freedom to go to/from the parks whenever we wanted.  Close to many great restaurants.  Highly recommended!

After reading websites devoted to travel to Disney World and considering a travel book, we decided this hotel looked like a great place to stay for our visit to Walt Disney World if you plan on having your own rental car and driving to the parks.  I would only stay at a Disney hotel if you want to ride the shuttle.  Also, depending on the hotel (we were looking at the Port Orleans), it is faster to get to most parks from this hotel than taking the Disney shuttle.

For us, the amount we saved on the hotel and breakfast (compared to the Disney property) more than offset the cost of the rental car.  It also provided additional flexibility for us to go off-site for dinner or to the grocery store.  We found the included breakfast was good enough and had hot as well as cold options.  The rooms were nice, the beds comfortable, and the sleeper sofa was needed as we are a family of 5.  If we go back and want to stay at other than a Disney hotel, this property is a good choice and we would stay here again.

Clean rooms, comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower.
This place is great. I stayed here on a business trip and it was wonderful.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel is close to the interstate and near some good restaurants. I didn't get to swim in the pool but it looked wonderful.
The bar was fun and the bartenders were on point.
If you want a place close to Disney that is reasonably priced I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed my stay at Buena Vista Suites. The hotel is fully renovated. The rooms are very spacious for 2 people. Not sure how it would look for a family of 4 other than there is a pull out bed and 2 tv's. The bathrooms are very nice. The breakfast was ok but not bad. I slept pretty good. The beds were comfortable to me and I love the fact that it had 2 tv's in the room. The employees were very nice and I will be planning my family reunion for next year at that hotel. It was close enough to the attractions and even closer (5 min) to the Premium Outlet Malls. Great value for the weekend. The only reason why I did not rank it as a 5 is b/c the pool area was small and I am not a pool type of gal and no concierge. Other than that, you will enjoy and I am a VERY picky person and can be VERY BRUTAL with my reviews.

Great spot - free shuttle... Free breakfast - clean/large rooms with very comfortable beds! Tons of Bang for your Buck!  10-15 minute ride to WDW.

Used mousesavers and was able to book a great deal plus we got some free extras.  You really can't beat the nightly rate that comes with a free daily breakfast.

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was professional, free ample parking, and free breakfast.

We had free parking at Disneyworld and a rental car so we didn't use the free shuttle they offered.  Having a rental made it a breeze to get to the park since Disneyworld was a straight shot from the hotel.  Drive time to any of the Disney parks was about 10 minutes.

For the deal we got, the 4 star rating is well deserved.  1 star off for breakfast being slightly disappointing, but you still can't beat free.  I can't really complain about the wifi fees because if you do the math, it's still cheaper than staying at any of the surrounding hotels.

We stayed here a few times in past Disney visits. We like to stay here for a night or two before heading to Disney and staying onsite. We like to give ourselves a day or two to visit the Orlando/Kissimmee area before locking ourselves away in the Disney trap. :)

The rooms are HUGE and CLEAN and the staff is wonderful. We have never used the bus service because we either rent a car or have our own car.

The elderly lady who works/used to work in the gift shop is so wonderfully sweet. My kids enjoyed visiting with her almost as much as visiting with the big furry characters in the parks.

Ok, I'm darting between two and three stars. Because of the front desk staff and the bartender I'll post three stars.

I was here on business for several days. This is definitely a family friendly hotel. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE kids but when on business I do like a little quiet after a long day. I do enjoy seeing all of the smiley faces (on the children) after they return from Disneyworld.

I don't know what is wrong with their door locks. First the batteries gave way and had to be replaced and then the keys kept demagnetizing. Trust me, I travel a lot. Very unusual.

The rooms were mostly clean and the furniture was, well, rough. Drawers didn't close or were hard to push in. I will say the fridge kept things nice and cold.

The highlight was the bar staff. Very nice and personable. Poured a good drink and the kitchen made a very good burger.

Ok, here is the creepy thing. On my last day I was in the room when housekeeping made up my room late in the afternoon. I was in the room from then until I went downstairs to dinner. I was gone for about an hour down in the bar brining my dinner back to my room. When I returned there was a cigarette butt and a little remaining cigarette and tobacco on the dresser. I have never smoked in my life. Where did it come from? I took pics.

Anyway, nice people...odd occurances.

Upon my arrive I was met in the lobby at reception by Ulysses , with a smile , service and useful local information. Downtown Disney is right down the road just make a right turn at the exit and you are on your way. There is enough room in their suites to put 4 New York hotel rooms, As you enter your room you have a living room with a big screen flat TV, in  the bedroom there  is  another big with another big screen TV. I got a great rate of $89 including free newspaper and a free breakfast buffet. I would stay here on any return trip, enjoy the hotel, the service and the room after a full day of running around the World of Disney

If check in is any indication this place is terrible! Do not book here! The front desk clerks are completely clueless! Suppose to have 3 o'clock check but no guarantee take a shot and see!

Stayed here for 8 days. Great price, close enough to the Disney Parks, free breakfast buffet type thing which is fine. Staff seems friendly enough, but don't seem to take much initiative for giving great customer service.
I am giving 2 stars because of three things. First, the rooms are not clean. There is a serious layer of dust around the whole room. I have attached a picture of a quarter I left on one edge of the room, which stayed there (as well as the dust and dirt) my entire stay. I have also attached a picture of one of the lamp shades that appears to have some sort of water damage (adds such a wonderful ambience...)
Second has to do with a situation with housekeeping. On the second day of our stay, housekeeping showed up when my youngest was napping. We asked if she could come back later, and she responded with what seemed like an affirmative answer, but no one ever came back.
Third is because, the next morning, I let the front desk know about our room not being cleaned and I also let them know that the overall cleanliness was subpar, and...nothing ever changed.

Hotel room was okay for price. In room safe did not work. Nor did the door lock. I had to jigger around with it to make sure the door was actually locked when I left the room.
Remote controls for neither TV worked to change channels or volume. I had to use the controls on the TV to operate it.
Also, the shower valve seemed to need a washer. I practically needed a wrench to turn it on and shut it all the way off. I was afraid I was going to break the handle off the shower valve trying to turn it on and all the way off.
The room was clean, and well made up every day we were their. Housekeeping did a good job.

This is a great hotel for the price - especially when considering the buffet breakfast is included. Close to International Drive and Disney Parks (free shuttle to parks).
The room was clean. The staff were nice and helpful. The Suite (mini suite) with pull-out sofa suited our needs perfectly. TVs in both rooms. The elevators are very speedy which you don't always see in moderately priced hotels.

A bunch of little things stopped me giving 5 stars: The shower/ tub didn't drain properly. The TV remote controls are cheap and old-fashioned and don't work great (though the TVs themselves are nice). One of the two beds was saggy and not comfortable (the other one and the pull-out sofa bed were fine), and finally when we asked for late checkout on Sunday, we were told that because 120 rooms were checking out that morning then they couldn't offer late check-outs - this seemed like a made up reason because if so many rooms are being vacated and need to be cleaned, then who cares if one or two checkout late.

Having said all that, I would stay here again.

PS: Must have a car. It's just off the beaten track enough that you can't walk anywhere (plus on highways without sidewalks) - except for the shopping center with a couple of restaurants across the road. Short drive to everywhere though.

Here is an excellent suites hotel just down the road from Epcot.  The seven-story hotel has moderately priced rooms with comfortable beds and good pull-out sofa beds.

More important it serves a free large buffet and has a steakhouse that is open to 11 pm.  After a too early meal at WDW, we decided to eat at the Bistro.  The steaks melt in your mouth and the salmon was good.  There's a decent wine menu.

It was a Saturday night but the place was not very busy except for a huge take-out business which includes much of the menu.

As noted by an earlier writer, we used a discount from Mousesavers.com and since we live in Tampa and have annual passes, we did not use the shuttle.  We did see some people use transportation to go to a nearby discount mall.

For the price and location and the service, Buena Vista Suites beats similar hotels ten minutes off the Disney property.
