I was staying in Orlando for my husband's conference and was looking for a hotel that was very clean and in a convenient location. This hotel was recently renovated and was extremely clean during our stay. The decor is very cute with the castle theme. The pool area is small, but was never crowded despite the extremely warm weather and there were plenty of clean towels available without having to ask an attendant for them. The Antler bar decor is very chic and pretty and the drinks were great. The gym consisted of just a few treadmills and elliptical machines, but was spotless and completely empty the two times I went. The location of the hotel is extremely close to the Convention Center, Universal Studios and Disney World and I-drive. On the flight back home we realized that we forgot an expensive personal item in the hotel, called as soon as we landed. Not only did the hotel find the item, but they also shipped it to us ASAP. Really amazing service!!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great customer service training! Hotel overall very clean and elegant. Housekeeping could spend a little more time cleaning rooms and training on attention to detail for the room was dusty (lamps, headboards, TV, etc.) and not up to standards ( dirty sock left under the bed and our dog found some left behind food under the table). Also didn't care for the comforter "duvet" for it was just two sheets wrapped around a comforter (I am scared of exposed hotel comforters for they are usually disgusting). This was overshadowed by the fact that they allow for plus size dogs (50lbs)!! We also stayed in one of the few doggie allowed rooms so that likely contributed to the poor cleaning (dogs only allowed on 2nd floor). Some minor parking problems one night with no available spaces but just parked illegally and was not ticketed or towed so no biggie. Will definitely return, even without a dog. Absolutely amazing considering most dog hotels are usually all around gross and a rip off with overpriced nightly rate plus unjustifiable pet fee, cleaning fee, and non refundable deposit (which isn't a deposit). This place was a steal considering the quality and dog factor. Awesome nightly rate and $150 pet payment per stay.

Terrible customer service was originally going to get a quote for a government rate when I saw the promotion for 2 night third night free. I was having a problem booking the stay with the promotion code on the site. So called the hotel and asked about it and was told not to worry book the stay and on check out they will refund the last night. At check out that wasn't the case.  Was told I had to call Marriott for the refund cause they can't do it on premise. Called Marriott during breakfast and was told there is nothing they could do I would have to speak to the property manager. Turned around went back to the hotel to speak to the manager only to be told there isn't a manager on property he just left.  No attempt was made to page for an eta back to the hotel. I've been a loyal Marriott's rewards member since I travel for work but after this experience I think I will be canceling my stay next month at another Marriott property on my return trip to Orlando.

This place and the team members that work there are amazing! David, the general manager, was very hospitable and generous in offering us a tour of the property to get a better feel of the hotel. Definitely an interesting place and recommend it to people look for a boutique place to slumber!

New but needs some work.

Check in - no one was anywhere to be seen and it was 4PM. No one at the desk, concierge, door - no one.

Bar area is way too loud - needs some acoustic tuning.

What's with the cheap bedside lamps? Socket was falling out of one fixture.

Old switch and junction boxes were blanked off - what's with that? Even I add drywall patches to make walls whole again.

Door hardware is old and worn. Worked but left a "cheap" impression.

Until we "monkeyed" with it, TV remote did not work.

Mechanical room was open and covers off the entire weekend yet no one was near it.

Not sure the Picasso art works with the decor. Love the art but bad theme fit.

Mattress seemed to not be up to Marriott quality.

Nice hotel until you are charged a $168 fee on your credit card with no notice. Called several times to get this fee removed and spoke to a very rude employee named Wayne. Stay away, stay at any other hotel!

Super cute hotel! They recently renovated and the lobby is adorable. Pool area looks good too but unfortunately it rained while we were there. They did say it was heated though so it it good all year round.
This was actually a perfect spot for the bachelorette party I threw, and walking distance to senior frogs and howl at the moon.

Nice hotel, not new, but well kept.
In terms of hospitality, 5 stars. The pool was cold so no swimming since we arrived later in the day. We were greeted with strawberries and champagne upon our arrival so I guess the pool didn't matter. The desk clerk Eddie, was PHENOMONAL
My girls felt like they stayed in a castle

I went for a conference and picked this hotel because it looked a little different in the design.  I have to say this hotel is awesome.  Its a like a building of art!  The accommodations were great, the staff was very courteous and responsive and just generally pleasant.  From the cleaning staff all the way up, I never passed a staff when they didn't smile and give a nice greeting.  I would recommend this hotel for anyone!

I've stayed in a lot of Marriotts (Platinum status, 100 + nights / year) . Never felt like my business was less appreciated. Sure, the decor and ambiance nice, is but when they Nickle and dime you for every little amenity, and you have to beg housekeeping for enough coffee that both myself and my wife could have a cup, cool mirrors and Goth headboards don't make up the difference. Thanks, but I'll stay at a 'real' Marriott next time .

Beautiful hotel, very well put together with the theme, chandeliers, sparkly roof, purple walls I love it! Only negative thing I would say is the rooms don't have a refrigerator, but other than that bed was comfortable and spacious!

Had a wonderful experience earlier this month at this hotel, and it was by far the nicest place I've stayed in the "touristy" areas of Orlando.  Yes, the castle-like exterior is fairly cheesy.  But as soon as you walk through the front doors, this place is light years away from its family-friendly neighbors along Universal and I-Drive.  The lobby, lobby bar and other public areas are consistent with boutique hotels I've stayed in in Chicago, Philadelphia and D.C.  The purple theme may not be for everyone, but at least it feels fun and classy, and smells great!

We were greeted with great service at the desk upon arrival.  Our room on the 5th floor was fairly basic, but everything was new and clean.  And everything worked.

It was too cool to use the pool during our visit, but the pool area looked great.  Free towels, cabana-like seating areas, and a pool bar.  And, since this is not exactly the type of hotel that will attract people with kids, I am sure the pool area would be a fun spot for adults to hang out after a day at a convention or amusement parks.  I definitely recommend the Castle for those who want the boutique feel but need to stay in this area of town.

Super clean, professional and courteous staff, and beautiful decor. Not for children. Best for adults, singles, couples, and groups. Walk or take an inexpensive taxi to a ton of nearby excellent venues.

The hotel is really fun!

My friends and I wanted to stay somewhere new and cool, and I'm glad we stayed here. Tower room, all the amenities we could think of, and more. The decor is awesome.

The gentleman at the front desk when we came back from dinner gave us free bottles of water. Everyone was so helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Hotel is amazing! First time visiting. Went for a weekend & couldn't have been happier that I stayed there. Very clean & new. It's great if your looking for quiet & low key.

Staff was incredibly nice! Great bartender & food at the bar.

Went for breakfast at the garden bistro & we just had missed breakfast and the chef came out and told us she would open up the kitchen again & make us breakfast. Who does that!!? Food was phenomenal & service was great. They even gave us coffee cups to go!

Will definitely stay here for future Orlando visit!

Beautiful decor and friendly customer service. Breakfast buffet was awful we actually walked out after tasting our food, the place seems understaffed we requested items like a fridge for the night to keep baby bottles cool and it never came, we requested help with luggage at check out and they never came and key cards to access elevator continuously malfunctioned at one point we had to ride up with an employee who was called to let us into the elevator.  Were platinum members and were pretty disappointed.

Can I live here? PLEASE???

The latest entry into Marriott's Autograph Collection, this is an eclectic boutique hotel. My experience from arriving to departing was spot on.

Bellman Joe is a walking encyclopedia of the hotel, the area, Orlando and the other Autograph Collection hotels. Did I forget to mention he is also one of the best bellman also. But then all the personnel here were excellent.

The decor, aside from being eclectic, is medieval art/antlers. Antlers, you say? They're everywhere!!!! I am now an antler fan (sans heads).

The hotel as well as the room was immaculate. Not so much as a  bit of dust to be found. My room had a very comfy king bed, a relaxing couch and a lazy chair w/ottoman. All the accoutrement's you would need are in the room also. The robes are thick and warm. The bathroom has an extending make up mirror for us girls. You will also find a fax/copier in the room as well as RoomLinx, a type of internet service. WiFi is free everywhere except in the rooms. The large mirror and headboard are goth in a romantic kind of way.

You'll find an indoor and outdoor bar and the café is also outdoor but it is enclosed. The large, beautiful swimming pool w/cabanas and a whirlpool is the icing on the cake outside.

A physical security person is there at night, but for added security you need your room key to enter the elevator. I LOVE that feature. The Castle's location makes it perfect for anyone going to the downtown venues and also anyone who is going to Disney. But make no mistake, this is NOT a family hotel. It IS good for singles, couples and the business person.

I can't wait to return!!!

TIP: You can view the Universal fireworks from the 9th floor. Shhhh.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our 1 dating anniversary and we absolutely loved it!  Honestly, we weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The decor was very... what's the word, magical? I'm not sure how to describe it.  It felt like we had walked into a fairy tale. The lighting, mirrors and sparkle everywhere was just so regal and rich. We live in Orlando, but when I walked in there I totally felt like a tourist.  Lol!

Lobby:  One of the things I loved most about this hotel was that as soon as you walk in you are greeted by the most pleasant smell.  All day every day they light a candle and it fills the lobby with an inviting aroma.  I think they sell the candles there too so you can pick one up to take with you on your way out.   The hotel also had complimentary water with fruit in it.  It was delicious.  Definitely give that a try.

Bar:  We really didn't get to experience the bar.  We walked down a couple of times, but never really saw anyone there.

Room:  The room was fantastic.  It was clean and roomy.  The bed was oh so comfy.  In fact, better than the bed I slept in at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta.  The backboard was super cool.  It was high and elegant.  Everything was just fantastic.

Pool:  Although the pool was small, I thought it served its purpose.  It isn't very deep so don't plan on diving and swimming laps in it.  It is round which is unique to me... I've never seen anything quite like it.

Housekeeping:  Now, this is my only gripe.  Housekeeping came super early, not once but 2 times.  They wanted us out apparently, lol!   Granted, it is partially my fault because I should have put the "do not disturb" sign  on the door but I forgot.  I mentioned it to front desk not as an angry complaint, just as a response as to how our visit was and he apologized left and right.  In fact, since we stayed at the pool area for a little while after we checked out, he gave us complimentary beer and two $25 vouchers for a spa service.  Walter, I believe was the name of the front desk employee.  He was wonderful.  Very friendly and attentive

Listen, if you are looking for a large resort, this isn't the place for you, but if you want relaxation and something different from the ordinary hotels, give this place a try.  I guarantee you won't regret it.  It is on the other side of I-Drive so there are plenty of restaurants, family activities and shopping  for you to enjoy.

Lovely boutique hotel, small, quiet and trendy.  However, don't expect cleanliness (lots of hair in the bathroom and dust visible on the furnishings in the room).  For some reason, the hotel was totally out of shampoo, but was glad to offer me hand cream instead....really???  The cabana cushions at the pool were quite worn, ripped and full of holes.  The front desk clerks knew little about where to buy park tickets, restaurant menus or recommendations that were in walking distance.  No concierge level room or perks for Marriott Platinum Members (room upgrade, morning newspaper, etc).  If you are looking for small, quiet, hip and trendy off of I-Drive, this will work for you.  Just don't expect much.

Is there anything more romantic than sipping champagne with your lover in a purple-hued I-Drive hotel shaped like a Bavarian castle next to a putt-putt golf course? No. Obviously.

I met up with my Gentleman Companion here for a romantic little reunion and was delighted by how weirdly romantic this hotel was. The lobby is decorated like a Kardashian's disco fever vision of Old Country elegance, complete with rhinestone chandeliers and purple velvet draped hither and thither. Much like Gaston, they use antlers in all of their decorating. It skirted the line of bad taste and I loved it. Our room featured a desk befitting a Carpathian monarch, more baroque drapery and carpetting, and all the usual hotel amenities - coffee maker, safe - plus a scanner-printer...for some reason. No fridge, though!

The bed and shower were DIVINE. The view, overlooking the gorgeous pool, and more distantly, a bustling Tony Roma's, was DIVINE. The fact that I immediately got locked out of my room on a trip to the ice machine was less divine. My passionate reunion scene was replaced with my bae coming around the corner to find me wrestling frantically with the uncooperative door, wailing about how my keycard didn't work. We laughed and had our first kiss in the hallway. Quirky little moment. There were plenty of (mostly chain) restaurants and tourist attractions within walking distance, which was convenient for those of us who were champagne-tipsy the entire night (me).

If you're looking for an affordable, fortress-shaped setting for your next romantic, International Drive getaway, you really can't do better than the Castle Hotel. Live like a hemophiliac old world monarch for a night, gazing out on your Tony-Roma's-kingdom, printing and scanning documents at will. The world is yours!

While tough to find on crowded I-Drive, it's a great spot to stay. Good value for the price with some nice amenities (three restaurants, two bars, decent size pool and friendly staff). Within walking distance to all the I-Drive attractions and restaurants. Will definitely make it the hotel of choice when I visit the I-Drive area.

Well, I have to say! Although it has a nice rooms but it's a little small hotel
Beside I had some bad experience,
First,
I remember I hanged the "don't disturb" on the door but they knocked my door rudely and freaked out me and my wife and my little daughter!! The reason why they knocked the door because they wanted to check the tv!! Even though I didn't tell them there was issue or so!! They were so rude and I didn't let'em go in!!
So I went to the front desk to ask about it!! And figure out they didn't know about that!! How creepy is that!! Didn't feel safe at all. And they just apologized!!

Second,
We were out of tissues and the never get new one!!

3rd,
I don't like when you have to use the card they gave you to use the elevator!! It won't go anywhere just your floor and the ninth beside the second!!

Beside it's a creepy hotel, those paintings everywhere are creepy!

I still wonder how this is a 4 star hotel!!
The staffs on the front desk are so cold.
The gym is so small.
Don't waste your money here, there much better hotels with almost the same price.!!
Take the hilton as a good example!

Update!
Before I go out this day, I told the front desk to send the house keeping, guess what.? Spent 4 hours outside, no one ever come!

I stayed at the Castle Hotel on Christmas Day - it was a great experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and has an Alice in Wonderland feel to it with a lobby that will impress. The bar area and pool are decorated in fine decor and actually will lead you directly to Cafe Tu Tu Tango (though they were closed on XMAS Day). The hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and bars on International Drive as well.

When we first checked-in we hit up the bar for some food and drinks. The bartender was friendly and the traditional burger was giant, I recommend splitting it with a fellow friend or family member. I had their signature margarita and it was pretty tasty, nothing to write home about though.

Our room itself was great with a comfortable bed and somewhat firm pillows (my preference). Perhaps my only gripe with the room was the toilet paper quality, it was incredibly thin...thinner than the toilet paper in the bathrooms at my university and for such a quality hotel I was expecting some decent toilet paper.

The only other mishap was room service disturbing our room at 9AM when we had a do not disturb sign on our door. The room service woman almost walked in on my mom who was in the bathroom, but luckily stopped after my mom yelled we were in the room. I think an easy way to prevent this would be to only go into rooms with do not disturb signs after check-out time which is 11AM. Either way, it left my sister livid.

Overall, I still think Castle Hotel is a very nice hotel though and I would return regardless of the small issues with my experience.

Not a good experience.  They have made an attempt at a "W style" boutique hotel, but have not invested enough to pull it off.  Carpets are dark and worn, popcorn ceilings, an outdated AC system.   My room smelled of mildew - see the black mold in the vents.   The room got warm during the day - is asked twice to have maintenance look at it.   Still warm, and no follow up from staff, so I have no idea if they even looked at it.

Please do not go 2 Castle autograph hotel in Orlando Florida because they don't trust that you will pay & will lock you out the same day.

Four things that need to change
Pricy prices--not good
1. Get your name spelled right
2 Get the spa fix
3. God forbid if you leave you key or have an emergency..No elevator access
4. We were told " your paying for the art"

There was nothing enchanting about this Castle Hotel. Don't let the "Castle-esque" structure fool you... it's far from any royal experience.

You can tell this property "renovated" the hotel but it didn't show. I stayed for 2 nights while I was attending my company's signature customer event at the Orange County Convention Center, so the proximity to the OCC was a major plus! The front desk staff was really attentive and pleasant, but the property was just not up to Marriott standards (trust me, I am a Marriott Gold Elite). Bathrooms were antiquated, room corridors were poorly lighted (fixtures were terrible, beds were okay, air conditioning dust filled the vents, found a hole in wall (like someone kicked the wall) in the corridor close to the elevator on the same floor as my room.... the list goes on.

On the upside, the pool looked nice (I didn't use it though), there was a cool lobby bar, parking was free and the staff was pleasant!

Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not. There are tons of hotels in Orlando that I prefer, like the JW Grande Lakes, Gaylord Palms, Renaissance at Sea World, etc.

Stayed here for 9 days in March and would recommend this boutique hotel. Prices were not inexpensive but very fair considering quality and location.

Pro's very, very clean and beautiful inside & out. Very attentive & accommodating staff. Location, location, location only ¼ mile (walking distance) from Point Place shops & numerous restaurants, 15 minutes to the airport & only 3 miles to Universal.

Cons were only 2 and they are truly minimal. Pool waiter on the 1 day we sat by the pool would not come over to us, even after I walked to the bar to start a tab. Not a biggie but unusual. Also everything in Orlando seems to close around 11 including the lobby bar. Other than that we will stay here again.

I must also say that after my very scenic daily run the doorman would great me with a smile and cold bottle of water - a VERY nice touch.
