Stayed in June 2009, did not like that you have to use your room card in the elevators to get to the room floors.  I can see that this is a security measure but wish they would figure out a different way.  My eyes are not what they used to be.  The toliet overflowed within the first 5 minutes and maintenance was there within a half hour.  Great maintenance but wished I did not have to call them.  Tub did not drain in the morning.   Food at the bar & grill was expensive and not very tasty.  They forgot to give me my drinks to carryout.  Was in a pinch to catch the next flight home so did not have any other choice but to stay here.

Stayed here for an early morning 7am flight. Certainly beats staying at a hotel off-airport! I just walked out of this in-terminal hotel and headed straight to the security checkpoint and was at the gate within minutes!

Perfect price on expedia.. Found a room for 25$ a night!that's incredible. Loved the sushi downstairs. Rooms were clean, very convenient to get to and from where we needed to be as well as waking up and walking to your flight. So perfect. !! :)

Okay, so 8 of us missed our flight because we got a text message that the flight was delayed a little.  Then a lot, so we thought we could fill up the gas tank for the rental car before returning it.  Wrong, got another text while we were at the gas station near the airport that our flight was back to its original schedule!  Eeeek!

Long story short - I'm glad we stayed on-site at the Hyatt.  Kids and ourselves were able to leisurely peruse the shops at the airport as well as eating a decent variety of foods there.  Will definitely book here if we ever have a late night or early morning flight in the future.  FUN!

Maybe because we were on vacation mode and just going with the flow, but we made the best out of what could have been a stressful situation.  Southwest was GREAT in getting us new boarding passes on another flight the next evening, too!

Is what I told myself as I trudged from the only elevator bank to my hotel room seemingly miles away.  Obviously I only stayed here because my flight had mechanical issues and I wanted to catch the first flight out.

On the plus side, the attendant at the front desk was extremely polite and upon hearing that I didn't have my luggage with me provided me with a bunch of complimentary toiletries.

Unfortunately, the crappy layout of the hotel, the absolutely horrible room service food (avoid the grilled salmon), and the noise from the windows that open out into the terminal ruined the experience for me.

My hubby and I flew into MCO at 12:30am and expected to stay the night on the floor or on some benches in a terminal because we needed to meet a shuttle bus taking us to Port Canaveral the next morning at the airport and didn't want to go through the hassel of getting to/from a hotel/motel. We had never been to MCO before this, but can honestly say it's one of the nicest airports we've been to (and we've been to PLENTY, both in and out of the U.S.).

We walked through to the other side of security and looked up in amazement at the hundreds of balcony hotel rooms surrounding the giant lobby (complete with a fountain). It was gorgeous. We decided to camp out on one of the benches near the fountain, but once that proved too uncomfortable, we called the Hyatt and made a reservation. Keep in mind this was around 1am. They welcomed us and gave us an airline employee discount of approximately $120. The room was spacious and the bed was beyond comfortable. They also have a gym and pool/spa. We both really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt and can honestly say it's one of the best hotels we've stayed in.

Anyone who has been in the car with me will inform you I'm not the best driver. Personally I don't think my driving is that bad (although I agree it needs a little work), but I do have major directional issues.

Orlando is one of the cities that I always get lost in so I decided this time around to stay in the Hyatt that's actually in the International Airport.  The Hyatt seemed easy enough to find when I landed at the airport- it's located just on the 3rd floor. However, I had to rent a car for the next morning and drive around the airport to park it at the hotel. I'm probably the only person who's ever gotten lost trying to find this hotel when coming from  the airport. It looks me about 30 minutes and 2 phone calls to the concierge, but I finally made it.

Once I got here I was pleasantly surprised. For an airport hotel it's pretty nice...service has been great, the rooms are big  and comfortable, and the salmon salad I ordered from room service was delicious. And of course nothing beats a view of the International Orlando Airport baggage claim! :)

I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are vacationing in Orlando for a few days (The Peabody, World Center Marriott, and the Caribe Royal are much nicer and in the heart of downtown Orlando. However, if you are traveling for business like I am, have been to Orlando enough time for Mickey Mouse to know your name, and don't plan on doing much besides working give the Hyatt a try. Hopefully you'll have better luck finding it than I did!

First let me start by saying, we booked thru priceline.com . A room for $50 in Orlando during school vacation and spring break - what a deal.

We had a car that needed to be returned and the valet was very nice about letting leave the car while we checked into the hotel. (otherwise $5.00 to park for 1 hour) Went upstairs to check-in and Dan from California greeted us. Helped us use auto check-in and made sure we had a quite room. Brought our bags to our room while we returned car.  Upon our return, luggage & coats laid out nicely in room.

Room was very spacious, clean and probably one of the nicest we've stayed in. Toillettries were plentiful, coffee maker and supplies for 4.

McCoy's offered great menu and stays open until 2am. Great service, great food (have to admit we were pleasantly surprised)

Overall great experience. Glad we decided to give it a go. Airport terminal at 3rd floor. Early flight and took us 2 hours to get thru baggage check and security.

What a great location! If you've got an early flight this is the only way to go. Wake up, shower, and take the elevator down to the terminal. I've never stayed in a hotel that is part of the main terminal - very cool. Rooms and amenities are all very nice.

This is a really nice place to stay in. The rooms are very clean and great looking, the beds are amazingly comfortable and their staff is very helpful too. If you get hungry and want to get a quick bite, you can go to the food court in the airport which is just a few steps away. The only reason I won't give this place 5 stars is because they charge for their internet access, which is about $9 for 24 hours, and also it's a wired connection (no wifi). Other than that, I wouldn't doubt to consider this place next time I'm in Orlando.

The Hyatt at the Orlando FL airport/MCO is my favorite hotel. Because the Hyatt is there, MCO is my favorite airport. I drop my bags at valet parking, drop my rental car off, get an inside room where I never have to see any sunlight (yea vampires!), call for 24 hour room service, call for my bags to be delivered and wait for Margo Deetjen to show up to give me the best massage I've ever had. I feel like Eloise without the NY winters. Can it get any better than this?

Schiphol/AMS, in Amsterdam, has a grocery store in its airport, as well as an airport hotel, so it is my other favorite airport.

We didn't make it on to our flight and had to stay at the Hyatt to make an early AM flight the next morning.  The room cost $189 for the night.  The lobby and room were beautiful and very comfortable.  The bed was extremely comfortable and the ceiling fans kept the temperature at a perfect setting.  The little details (make-up mirror, quality toiletries) definitely were a nice touch.

This hotel is a sorry excuse for a Hyatt. If you are a business traveler, there are better run, cleaner, less expensive and more comfortable hotels less than 2 miles away from the airport. Those hotels will also have easier access to a variety of restaurants.
I made the mistake of giving them a second and a third chance and I was more disappointed with every visit.
I have been struggling to get a copy of the receipt from last visit and after following their "requirements" to the letter, three phone calls, two faxes and a couple of emails I am yet to get this simple piece of paper.
Even if I wouldn't have had this inconvenience, the hotel itself is not worth the perceived "convenience" it offers.

Very solid. The core of a hotel stay is the bedding the towels the cleanliness and the staff. It all works here. Tho my room was a mile from the elevator. No hesitation coming back. In fact will seek it out when I have business here where another location would not be more convenient. Free wifi that works well.

Perfect for an over night stay in between flights or before a cruise. We had an inside room, overlooking the airport. The noise, which sounded like a white noise, was pretty much unnoticeable.

There are computers with internet access, a decent pool and small fitness room. The attached restaurant wasn't very good, but not bad for a late night snack/drink.

    The staff was very friendly.

Elevators are slow, and usually full.

This is the absolute best place to stay if you are arriving late at the Orlando/MCO airport or need to leave early in the morning.  Regardless, if you want to just stay here and go through security...get a room at the Hyatt.  I always Priceline the Hyatt and name my own price at $45.  I always get it.
You may think that the room would be loud with all the activity going on.  This is not true.  It is quiet!
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious.

Stayed there twice in a week for short sleepovers between flights.
Both times service was excellent, room was clean, bed was comfortable.
(But be sure not to leave the fan on automatic unless you want bone jarring mechanical noises every half hour).  I find rooms with a view of a building interior -- airport departure terminal -- rather than an exterior window a bit unpleasant but  since I arrived in the dark and left in the dark both times, no problem.

Visit 1 -- a four star experience, maybe five.  Check in was perfect. Clerk anticipated needs I didn't even know I had.

Visit 2 -- Major mechanical melt-downs. I had four hours in the hotel between 2 and 6 a.m.  I want a very quiet place to sleep, a coffee and a shower.  That's all.  The sleep started out okay except for the bone jarring fan and the coffee maker didn't work.  Tried it in another outlet, still doesn't work.  I have to bet out in 20 minutes.  Shower and run to Starbucks? or complain and skip shower while I wait for housekeeping with a new coffeemaker.  (A friend keeps telling me that constructive complaining is both cathartic and the basis of a healthy service industry.)  I complained.    The guy who arrived might have been the manager.Coffee maker 2 wouldn't work either.  Manager and I determined that indeed both outlets were bad in the room, coffee makers 1 and 2 were probably fine.  But by now it was too late.  No time to find another working outlet and wait for drippage so I skipped shower and skipped to airport check-in -- foul tempered and smelling like a wildebeest.  Not sure the cathartic experience delivered what it was supposed to.  I may go back to suffering in silence and complaining on yelp.

    Dear United Airlines,

Your "mechanical" issue messed up my plans and threw me into despair until you gave me the option of staying overnight (FOR FREE) at the Hyatt.  From the inside of the airport I was a bit skeptical but upon taking the escalator to the lobby my mind started to change.

The front desk staff was terrific.  My room was very nice, clean, modern, and spacious.  There was an outdoor pool 100 yards away, and the restaurant bar was fun even by myself.  On top of that, I could literally roll out of bed and stroll a few hundred yards to my terminal which at 5am I greatly appreciated!

The Hyatt Regency turned my nightmare into a dream!

If you need a place to stay close to the airport, the Hyatt can't be beat!
Walk out of security, go upstairs to the hotel.  Agreed that the layout leaves something to be desired...one bank of elevators for a weird courtyard-style layout.  Most stairways were labeled with "alarm will sound" signs, so you're stuck with the elevator.  Anyway, great rooms, very comfy bed.  It was a little bizzare that my "balcony" looked out over the security lines.  Some rooms had "views" of the runways, which I guess is cool if you like to watch planes take off and land.  Pool was nice, and a good way to get outside if you're stuck in the airport/hotel.

McCoy's was actually really good for dinner.  I had pretty low expectations, but there was a good variety of well-prepared food.  The presentation was almost Iron Chef-like without being pretentious.

Can't beat the location. Right in the middle of the main terminal.
    Nice rooms, spacious modern bathroom.

Stayed here the night before leaving for our cruise.  This is a really great location if you want to get into Orlando the night before your Disney cruise departure.  Since it is in the Airport, you do not need to get a rental car or really go anywhere... plenty of shops, reasonable food court, and best of all, downstairs is the Disney Cruise Shuttle port... so next morning, just check out, go down one escalator a viola you check into the Disney Courtesy shuttle... oh, end even better, you can arrange to leave your luggage in your room and they will collect it for you and have it sent to the port!  Win win!

We only stayed here for one night, the day before our Disney cruise.  Given that, this review is limited, but let me say we would stay here again.  How convenient to grab your luggage and head right into the hotel?  The room was larger than most hotel rooms and very clean and updated.

We had an interior room facing the inside of the airport terminal - I believe outward facing rooms have views of the planes taking off.  You're right by the food court, shops and larger restaurants.  They have an outdoor pool open until 11pm (I believe).

And what a convenience if you're cruising with Disney - they pick up your luggage in the morning and take it to the luggage trucks while you hop on a Disney cruise bus and head to the port with just your carry-ons.  You won't be bothered with luggage again until it arrives at your room later that afternoon.

I have stayed here twice in the last few weeks and I must report that they are really doing things right at this hotel.  I love staying here because of the convenience and quality of the hotel and its amenities.  But none of this would earn them over a three (in my book) if it weren't for the extremely efficient, professional, and friendly staff.  At every step of the way, from the valet to the concierge, the front desk people, the wait staff at McCoy's and the room service people it is rare that I experience such superior customer service.

I got a great Triple A weekend rate here this past time and I used the check-in upgrade to get a nicer room both times I have stayed here.   The junior suite was spacious.  The executive king had a nice outdoor patio.  Don't worry about any noise.  This place is extremely well insulated.  I never heard anything outside or from any neighbors.  This place is a very peaceful oasis in what can be a very busy airport.

I love the pool here with the fountain that shoots water out that you can use to massage your back.  The gym is also outstanding for a hotel gym:  three nice treadmills, three ellipticals, very good selection of life fitness machines (very high end),  decent selection of dumb bells with two benches to use them on, topped off by a decent pulley station.

The restaurants and bar are great here too.  I recommend the sushi at McCoys.  The burgers and pizza are great too if you are feeling like something less healthy.  I was also impressed with the wine selection.  I have not tried Hemispheres yet but I hear it is very good.

Pay the few extra dollars to stay here instead of the surrounding hotels (especially if you can get a decent rate or you can get your business to pay).  It is worth it.  Don't bother paying for the Internet you can log into the free airport Wi-Fi from anyplace in the hotel (it seems).

I am writing this while in my wonderful room. Also in a comfy bathrobe :) I normally do not expect much from hotels. I travel a lot with my fiancee and for Cisco Live we decided to stay here. Since we are point members we got a wonderful dessert platter and wine. Our room is beautiful my fiancee used one of his free upgrades so we have a suite and it is so comfy. The decor is well laid out and I love the bathroom vanity table. We also got free breakfast vouchers and I expected it to be like the Conrad's were you can pick one food item and one drink....but no..anything off the menu plus the buffet is included. I choose to just get buffet and it was a nice set up and the bacon was perfect. So far I am so pleased to be staying here and excited we have a few more nights. Must stay even for a night. My fiancee was thinking of changing his brand loyalty to another hotel but after this one he decided Hyatt is the one to stick with.

Apparently lost battery power.  Room svc was ok but they charged me 20 percent and never disclosed this was built in to the charge.  Very disappointed.

After staying at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport several more times since my last review, I have come across a few more things that I like and some that I dislike about the hotel.

    - All rooms have balconies, however, they are not always exterior balconies. I got stuck with a room with an interior airport balcony once and if you can believe it, the inside of the airport is louder than the outside with the planes taking off and landing.
    - Standard King Bed rooms do not have easily accessible power outlets by the bed (they are instead behind the bedpost itself).
    - Concierge though nice, was not knowledgeable on local restaurants.

    - Consistent, excellent customer service.
    - Room service, though expensive (as with every hotel), arrives on time.
    - Self-service hotel checkout and boarding pass printer in hotel lobby
    - Location, location, location. As mentioned in my previous review, the elevator takes you straight down to the airport gates for American Airlines. Additionally, two of my favorite Orlando restaurants are within minutes from the airport (Bonefish Grill and Ale House).
    - Deluxe King room has PLENTY of power outlets near around the bed on both sides. Also comes with a DVD player and lint cloth for clothing. Huge closet.
    - All rooms come with a mini-fridge and travel-sized toothpaste

As you can see by the same five star rating, the GOOD greatly outweigh the BAD. If the cost between the Standard King and Deluxe King rooms are negligible, go with the Deluxe King.

The main upside to this Hyatt property is its location: it would impossible to get any closer to an airport terminal (MCO) than this.

And in terms of structure, fixtures and fittings, this property is up to par for Hyatts and competitors.

But if my experience is anything to go by, the staff have forgotten their primary purpose should be to serve customers.  Whilst we all accept there will be occasional "glitches" with any property, in my single overnight stay there were problems with Check-in, room electrics, housekeeping, the vending machines, excessive noise, and the restaurant.  The restaurant problems were multiple, and led to them comp'ing the entire meal.

To paraphrase Lady Bracknell, "To have one problem may be regarded as a misfortune. To have this many looks like carelessness".

This is the way every major airport should be designed, with a hotel within the airport. It is super quiet and has all the amenities you expect from Hyatt.  The staff was very helpful and courteous. We had a flight at the crack of dawn, so finding ourselves at the security check point as we exit the hotel elevator is a convenience you can't beat.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Obviously if you're flying in or out of MCO the location is very convenient. Fortunately this hotels location isn't what its all about.

Our room was surprisingly quiet, which, initially, was a concern. Granted we were not on an inside room, we faced a runway that you wouldn't know about until you looked out the window.

One odd thing was the sort of daisy chained power strips under the nightstand next to the bed. Not a big deal, but I'd think they would have had a better solution.

Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Boom.  This is what a hotel should be like.  From check in to check out, my experience here was second to none.

Check in:  Self-serve check in kiosks.  Never seen these before - I was able to choose the exact floor I wanted, check in, and get keys without ever talking to an employee.

    Top floor please.  Got it.

Went to the desk to request a late check out - 2pm, no questions asked.  Also asked if it was possible to have a room with a runway view - not a problem.  Got reassigned to a room down the hall from our original room with just a few clicks.

Room:  Balcony that overlooks the runway.  I mean, come on.  This is a mecca for a watches-planes-land-and-take-off-lover like myself.  Not only that - but the room had a ceiling fan.  Another first for me.  Really, in all the hotels I've ever stayed in this is the first with a ceiling mounted air circulation device.  I'm a guy that enjoys sleeping in a cold room with circulating air, so I was in my glory on this one.  Also - sidenote on the ceiling fan...it made the room feel much less like a hotel room and much more homey than I thought it would.  I know it is an aside, but a very comforting one at that.

Other nice room things - comfy bed, lots of pillows, desk, internet (plug-in only, and given a room closer to the terminal you could snag free wifi courtesy of the airport itself), nicely updated & large bathroom, and great water pressure.

People:  Everyone we ran into (hotel check-in staff, bellhops, concierge) was super friendly and always willing to help or answer questions without being overbearing.

Starbucks:  Is a short elevator ride down and 44 steps away.  Coffee.  In.  My.  Face.  Now.

The clincher:  We got this hotel on hotwire for 58 bucks.

I flew into MCO today to transfer to Port Canaveral for a cruise. I forgot to print some important documents, and was welcomed with open arms by Rich(security I think). He directed me where to go, and even offered to help me attach my cruise luggage tags to my suitcase. This is AMAZING service considering I was not a guest of the hotel. If I am ever in need of a place to stay near this airport it will surely be here simply because of how kind Rich was....especially being the fact it was before 6am.  THANK YOU RICH! You made my day with your kindness!

Plus the hotel was clean, welcoming and beautiful.

The hotel is right in the terminal so you have a great place to crash before heading on to your destination the next morning. It's times (reviews) like this when I wish we had the ability to 1/2 star. I would say a solid 3 1/2. But I had to round down for a few reasons. And don't get me wrong - there is nothing "wrong" or "too horrible" about the Orlando Airport Hyatt...

So when you go on Priceline to find a hotel deal, we all know that stuff by the airport is the best value in terms of star rating - who wants to stay by the airport when you could be in lovely... downtown Orlando? Anyway, you know what I mean - a Hyatt for $62: not too shabby. BUT - unlike most others airport hotels - when they say "airport" they really mean "AIRPORT."

I grabbed my key form the polite and upbeat staff, only to find that:

-The closest elevator was about 1/2 mile from the room (sucks when you don't have roller bags and are toting photo and video gear.)

    -There was a balcony. Sweet!

-Oh, wait, the balcony? Yeah, the balcony is overlooking... the interior of the Orlando International Airport. Read that again. Not outside the airport, not near the airport, not across the street or caddy corner to... but IN THE AIRPORT. I could see the security line from my "balcony." Aside from the complete lack of natural light and outdoor air - I am hard-pressed to imagine what I would less want to see whilst trying to relax and unwind: the security line at the friggin airport I'm about to fly out of. Now obviously this is no one's fault, don't blame the Hyatt family. And in terms of logistics - it was great (clean, clean, and um, clean.) But they know they have you captive (room service and food at the bar was a bit pricey even for a Hyatt.)

And if you don't like kids... well stay the F away form Orlando altogether. But ESPECIALLY this place as the Disney Cruise (that's right, that exists) leaves from the lobby, so there are hundreds of little ones running about. Keep this in mind if you're looking for a "quiet getaway."

At the end of the day, a Hyatt is a Hyatt - a level of excellence and expectation which is always met. The unfortunate part comes in the location and design. But the staff were excellent and after an hour of walking back and forth, re-assigned me to one of the few rooms with a window on the outside world. Planes: yes. TSA: no, thanks.

*And, I'm sorry, if I'm paying for a 4 star hotel, should you REALLY be charging me $12 for the internet and $14 to park my car when there isn't even another option like street parking? Come on, this is getting really old. If the Super 8 can comp these luxuries, surely you can afford it. It's so transparent and, well, typical of a rich, spoiled and entitled kid who constantly insists his "Dad will sue you" if you don't abide. Sounds like someone with a stuffy last name who is averse to change, like... Hyatt?

Was completely impressed with every facet of my stay. Spent 3 full days on site for training (worked out, ate, slept, lived) in the hotel without seeing daylight for 3 days to be exact.
Restaurants were great, pricing was fair. Meeting rooms in my case were quite comfortable and well stocked.
You have access to Starbucks, shops, SPC. On the main concourse floor which is easy to access by escalator.
Received quick responses to all of my requests, top notch service in all areas, spacious rooms, great overall experience.
    Would return.
Almost forgot, best breakfast buffet ever! Great selections.

Great location - connected to the airport so you don't need to leave the building to get to your hotel room.  We stayed here the night before boarding our cruise.  They also work with Disney Cruise line to have your luggage picked up at 8am the day the cruise departs. YOu put your luggage outside your room by 8am and you don't see your luggage until you get to your cruise ship stateroom.  Such a great perk, especially if you have little ones in tow.  Their lobby floor also has more quiet areas and private areas where kids can run around a bit without the hussle of the mall area downstairs.

The hotel and airport also have a small-ish mall between the two, complete with food court, which adds to the convenience.  If we go on another cruise that leaves from Port Canaveral, we will definitely stay here again.

Rooms are starting to look a bit dated, but property is kept clean and can't beat the easy walk to Starbucks and the airplane gate.  Is there a way to enlarge the pool?  It may be time for that, too.

Great location for a quick stay in Orlando.  It's literally in the airport.  Exit your plane and you're in the lobby in less than five minutes... without ever going outside.  Just ride the train over from the terminal and it's across the glass atrium where all the shops and food venues are.
When it's time to head out, it's a breeze to fly out.  Ride the escalator out of their lobby and you get off at the TSA checkpoint for departures.
Meeting spaces are nice, clean, and well staffed as well.  A great place to arrange a one day meeting for folks having to travel from many locations since almost all major cities fly directly to Orlando because of Disney.  Tip for the business traveler though... the line to the left at the TSA is for those without multiple family members.  This can save you a lot of time in security when it's open.

Great location - hard to beat if you are a business traveler in terms of the convenience factor of being extremely close to the airport - right in it!  The setup is sort of weird -- long winding hallways - to accommodate for the design and layout of the airport.  Rooms are quiet so you get the much needed rest.

The staff in general is nice -- where it crashes downhill is post-checkout and dealing with their OBNOXIOUS accounting department.

Lets start first with the understanding that business travelers is where hotels make the best bang for their buck - they come often and they remain loyal.  More importantly, they tend to be rushed so convenience is a huge factor.

So having said that, after hectic days of rushing in and out, I finally had a chance to look at my bill - only to see they have entered my name and address wrong.  How the **** does that happen? I gave my credit card and ID - two ways of verifying my name, and it should pull up my Hyatt account accordingly.   But no, person entered name wrong, so as a result it could not find my Hyatt account and the proper details associated with it.  So person went on to create a new account (without asking if I had an existing account), and entered another set info in that does not match my Hyatt account with my misspelled name for that matter.   As all fellow corporate road warriors know, our accounting departments are very specific about having the correct name and info on bills in order to get reimbursed properly based on SEC and public accounting regulations etc.

Thinking this would be an easy fix, I called up customer service who rerouts me to accounting - who never picks up the phone.  So i emailed them instead @ general Hyatt, who rerouts all concerns to appropriate departments.  All I wanted was to have the bill re-issued in the correct name and with my proper Hyatt account associated with it.  Accounting acted all holier than thou, gave me a **wonderful** (sarcasm alert) attitude that it was my problem and fault that I did not check the bill prior to check out.  Never mind the fact that it was a Hyatt desk person who entered my info wrong in the first place, and one does not get to verify it at the desk but only when the bill is printed and slid under the door when all busy people are rushing to make their meetings.   So this exchange went back and forth to the point of accounting just ignoring me until I sent out reminders again weeks later.  If you think this is customer service - wow, major FAIL.

Keep in mind,  I was trying to help Hyatt to keep my business and asked them nicely to correct a mistake that started (unintentionally) with them.  I was not asking for a refund or cancellation or disputing the charges nor do I hold anything against the nice Hyatt Desk rep - honest mistakes happen every now and then.  Just get my name correct, and my Hyatt account on the bill. If they get my info correct, I get reimbursed, they get paid and business continues as usual.  A boatload of nasty attitude later, and them not wanting to resolve anything besides pointing the blame finger at me - I will do the common sense thing - bring my team and business elsewhere.   Lots of other great options in the area.

Word of advice: Put your accounting department in Customer Service and common sense training please.

My flight home from Orlando was cancelled, and I was forced to overnight at the airport. Thank goodness this hotel is right in the airport otherwise I would have been sleeping on the terminal floor! After a fight with the airline to get another flight booked for early the next morning, I was able to book a room with the Hyatt Regency online... and then only walk a couple of feet to get there! They make everything so easy: I used their kiosk to check in, and the machine even spit out my key card. As for the room... It was huge and clean. Just perfect for my overnight stay! They have late-night room service as well, for night-owls like myself. The food is pretty good, too... and my order came really quickly, much to my surprise! Can't forget about the pool and the fitness center... so many amenities I only wish I had more time to take advantage of them! My stay here could not have been more convenient and nice.

Super convenient location if you have an early flight.  Rooms were very nice.  First hotel room I have seen in a long time with crown molding and a ceiling fan.  The beds were the standard Hyatt beds (meaning awesome and comfortable) and even though it is at the airport it was nice and quit..  You are right in the A and B terminal, short elevator ride to the security lines. Very nice stay!

Great for those early-morning flights...rolling out of bed and into an airplane. Good restaurants for the night before. Free wireless internet to keep your finger on the pulse of the world beyond. But why, oh why have a lovely HD TV and provide only analogue channels, and but a few of those besides? Some fine tuning required, Hyatt MCO.

We flew into Orlando a day early before our cruise and stayed at  the Hyatt in the airport.  We actually loved it.  The hotel is great.  We booked what they called the Bed and Breakfast package and got a really nice breakfast buffet the next morning included.  Adult breakfast included but it would have been great if the kids were free.

We spent a couple of hours at their beautiful pool then had a nice dinner at McCoys Restaurant located right in the hotel.  Very convenient and the best choice compared to the other options in the airport.  We walked off dinner with a little shopping in the airports selection of shops.  We picked up a few Harry Potter items at the Universal store.  Our daughters remarked several times how much they liked the airport hotel experience.  And since we were on vacation we had some donuts at Krispy Kreme and a sundae at Carvel ice cream, all within a short walk inside the airport.  The next morning we simply walked downstairs to Disney's Magical Express and we're at the ship in less than an hour.

We're giving this hotel five stars and would definitely stay here again but if they want to knock this deal out of the park  they should comp the kids breakfasts.

McCoy's restaurant was excellent and I left a separate review for them. We were let down by this Hyatt in many ways and Hyatt's tend to be our go to hotel. Upon check in, we had a Pure room reserved. The person checking us in said that they did not have a Pure room ready, but could do so quickly. If you are not familiar with a Pure room, check out the Hyatt website, but throwing an air purifier in the room does not do the trick. Upon opening the door to the room we were overwhelmed with the smell of carpet fresh or something similar. The air conditioner did not work well at all and the very loud noise of the a/c turning on and off kept us up all night. Aside from that, the bed was terrible. The only plus side to this hotel is that it is in the airport and convenient for an early morning flight....because it's likely you will be up anyway!

Outstanding hotel, by far the best place to stay anywhere in the airport area.  The staff is the best I have encountered from check in to check out.  Amazing food is available at their restaurants and the service there is ten times better than a tourist or even a business traveler would ever expect.  These people are actually happy to have your business.  My hat's off to the management team from this hotel.  The place is great but their employees really do make a difference.

Clean, convenient, nice. We will stay again should we come back to orlando.

Can't beat convenience of walking off a late arriving plane and checking into a hotel in the terminal!  We had an exterior facing room, which faces a parking lot.  The black out curtains could be better as there's still light that comes through.  You also hear the airplanes flying by.  Elevator doors were a bit tricky- they didn't stay open for very long!  Not good when you are trying to wrangle kids and suitcases.   Inside our room, we also had a travel sized toothpaste, which was cool to see.

Front desk was super nice.  We had checked in prior to a cruise, and they told us that there's a day rate, just in case we wanted to have some place to rest between disembarking and our late afternoon flight.  So glad they told us about that - we ended up checking in after the cruise so the kids (and parents) had a comfortable place to take a nap.

They also have an outdoor pool, but we didn't use it.  I will definitely be checking in here if I ever go on another cruise leaving from Port Canaveral.

The only thing I really didn't like was the shampoo and condition.  It seems like a small thing but once you been on a plane for hours and traveling all day, you want a nice shampoo and conditioner to clean and moisturize your hair.  I don't like shampoo that don't lather.  I had to shampoo twice and I still didn't feel very clean after.  So next time, bringing my own.

In general, I stayed here before the Disney Wonder cruise and loved it.

Great spacious room and bath.  Great view from my side of the airport.  It was not noisy at all considering it was in an airport.  That actually makes it very super convenient with all the shuttles, car rentals, restaurants, and services.

Clean!  Pretty hotel.  Could use a better decorator.  Did love the nice fountains and huge Christmas trees (Christmas time).

    Amazing customer service.

I really don't think the rooms are that expensive for the convenience and service.

I'm in the hotel as I write this.   They did not keep our reservation for 3 rooms with double beds.  Instead we got 1 room we other as king, another with king and roll away beds, and a suite.  Suite sounds nice right?  How about a suite with no bedroom?  Yep, we get a fold out couch and 2 rollaways.  I will NEVER stay at c a Hyatt again.  Too many choices to be treated this way.  Hyatt customer service, take a note, a reservation means I RESERVED THE ROOMS.  What great start to vacation.  So mad, I'm going to tweet, facebook, yelp, etc....  until I get tired enough to sleep on this couch.

I always have positive experiences at Hyatt hotels.  The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport in particular has nice rooms which are well kept.  My room specifically had a large bathroom and a balcony that I could sit on and watch planes land.  The hotel is in the MCO airport, after all.  The restaurant was nice as well.  They had fresh fish from Florida coast which was offered to be prepared one of many ways.  I took an 8oz portion of grouper, cedar planked with two sides for $28.  The bar is ok, the servers are slow and the selection is minimal.  I also attended a conference here.  The conference rooms are nice size and well kept, with good A/V systems.  The only problem is that there is nothing outside of the airport in walking distance.  Although, you may enjoy watching people go through security while eating breakfast on the other hand.

Ate breakfast here again and it is just as bad as the last time. Breakfast sausages were very greasy. The small chicken sausages had a very strange taste.
The Flax muffins tasted like there was soap in them.
But the worse part is that, no matter what you select in the buffet, it goes on an ice cold plate, which makes anything you put on it cold by the time you get back to the table.

I think this hotel serves it's purpose. The best thing is that it is part of the airport. I imagine that one can just hop off a plane and within minutes be checked into their room and laying down for a much needed nap. I didn't fly into Orlando this time but stayed here for a dance competition.
This hotel has some nice amenities and is expansive. Lot's of seating to rest and relax. Room service food was delicious and prompt. The bed was comfy. The room was clean and updated. I was sitting in the lobby and the table was kinda dirty. Somebody had eaten their lunch and left some residue. I saw one of the cleaning ladies. She came right over and took a cloth to it. Very sweet.
On the downside, the front desk staff were somewhat young and inexperienced and even a bit clueless. The noise in and around this hotel was distracting but you are in the middle of an airport and the hotel has an open floor plan where you can see and hear down to the gate/TSA level. Noise is to be expected. You can hear noise from your room during the day especially if somebody is performing in the square but it seems to quiet down at night.
    They had lovely Christmas decorations.
I would stay at this hotel again if I had to or needed something right at the airport. If not, I would prefer the Grand Hyatt closer to the parks.

Stayed here the night before our Disney Cruise.  In terms of their relationship to the Disney Cruise line, 5 stars all the way.  You really can't beat the convenience of leaving your luggage in your room, and find it waiting for you at your stateroom door of the cruise.  Well worth the price.  Not to mention, traveling from San Diego, you really don't have much in you to drive any more with a family of 12.  The fact that we could step off the plane and walk to our rooms was convenient and stress free.

The hotel itself is a little dated and could use some refurb.  The pool is a joke.  Why even have one.  It's really small for a hotel this size.  The rooms are standard issue, but the balconies are a nice touch.  They needed a clean up, however.  The gym wasn't bad, with several machines, free weights, all in a fairly good sized room.

The beds were small.  They are doubles, not queens, and you can immediately feel the need for bigger beds.  The rooms had everything we needed, including a mini fridge.  Nothing fancy or complicated.

The front desk staff, who were all we interacted with on our brief stay, were amazing.  I had tons of questions regarding the cruise, bags, etc, since I pretty much planned and organized this trip for my family of 12 and wanted to make sure it went without a hitch, and they were informative, and answered every one of my annoying questions to my satisfaction.  They put my type A stress at ease, for sure.

Seriously though - Stayed here for just a night after spending all day at Disney World and catching a flight back to Honolulu the next day. It was so nice and convenient to already be at the airport. We dropped off our rental car, walked to the hotel and we were set. Seriously easy and let me sleep in just a tad bit longer then I would have if we stayed somewhere else which is a major place.

Service was friendly. Rooms were nice. You played a maze getting to your room - I mean honestly - what else could you ask for? I'd definitely make a point of staying here the night before a flight out of Orlando again just for the ease (and sleeping in later!)

Third year we have stayed here for vacation, and this time was not happy.  Rude staff in the valet parking area who jumped on us for attempting to get our own luggage cart to take to our room.  Was told they are a full service hotel?  That is good but I'd rather take the cart then pay some rude employee too touch my luggage.  Also way before the checkout time another employee walks into our room without even so much as a knock.  Very intrusive. I don't know what has happened in the last year but this Hyatt isn't up usual standards.  May be seeking another hotel in Orlando area.

Sleep: The bed and pillows are comfortable.   The bedding is nice too.  The temperature controls work well and are quiet.  The black out curtains are top notch at night but not as good for a day time nap.  The room had no plane noise.

The room is severely limited in outlets, which us not ideal if your cell is your alarm.  I had to plug the iron in on the bathroom counter then had to unplug in order to use it.

The rooms overlooking the airport have balconies which are nice.  The hotel has a lot of natural light while maintaining a comfortable temperature.

    Lobby area - gorgeous.

Room - REALLY exceptional.  I was given room 9011 which faced out to the tarmac with a balcony (pretty cool) and I enjoyed watching planes take off.  I could not hear a thing with the door closed!  You can easily see why Hyatt has such a wonderful reputation by the rooms.  The decor was lovely, the bathroom very spacious with extra incidentals (toothpaste) which was nice.  Linens and towels were very nice quality as well as the bed being VERY comfortable.  I loved the Starbucks in the room, it is not often you can make a decent cup of coffee in the room but you can here.

This is review is solely based on being at this hotel for a convention opposed to the highly regarded 5 star reviews given when staying at the hotel for an overnight before an early AM departure out of the Orlando airport. They DO NOT have a gift store or somewhere to get a water, gum or snack, they rely on you going downstairs to fight the airport crowd to use a Hudson News or something along those lines. From a fitness center side of things, they have been there 2 days fixing the TV's so unless you are Doug cardio etc no TV. Not a necessity by any means just an inconvenience. Also the TV channels on the little "placard" on the cardio equipment do not match what is correct...ESPN is channel 34 opposed to what is shown as 21 on the equipment..so that is a pain! We usually stay at the Rosen for these connections, why it got changed I haven't a clue but definitely bummed.

We stayed here since our flight was super early (5:20 am eek!). It was very convenient and check in was easy using their kiosks.

We were only there to sleep 6 hours but the bed and pillows were comfortable. I am a light sleeper so the quiet room was very nice.

The bathroom had a bathtub with a shower AND a separate shower it was also a very spacious room, bathroom. The high end soap and shampoo was an extra perk.

The only negative thing was check out I tried to do it on the auto kiosks but it wouldn't read my card. We were running late so I just tossed the keys on the reception desk and told them I was checking out had to run. He was nice and told me about the escalator which was faster than the elevator.

So great convenient place to stay. We didn't have time to explore their amenities though. Their website said there was a pool which I didn't have time to check out.

    I would stay there again.

I spent one night here after two lousy nights at the Gaylord Palms. I had a room on the 8th floor - room 8011.

When I arrived, the room was stuffy, the AC was set to 72 degrees but the AC was turned off. I cranked it on, set the AC to 68 and went out into the Airport for some cold bottled water to give the room a chance to cool off.

Upon my return some 15 minutes later, the room was well on it's way to cooling off.

The room was very clean and comfortable.

    - Comfortable bed
    - Mini fridge
    - AC worked very well
    - Hotel staff was very nice and polite

    - Internet access was very slow
    - Elevator lobby on the 8th floor was VERY HOT. I called the front desk twice to advise them of this. If one put one's hand over the ceiling vents in the 8th floor elevator lobby - one found no air whatsoever coming out of them.  They never did anything about it.
    - Many parts of the hotel are run down and worn. The hotel is in major need of a retrofit and makeover. In the hotel lobby, much of the furniture is worn, chipped, and in poor shape (see some of the attached pix).

I opted for the upgrade to the faster tier of internet access above and beyond the complimentary access - everything was still slow as molasses!

The Hyatt Regency at the Orlando airport is a super convenient hotel for anyone traveling through Orlando. My family was actually taking a cruise out of Port Canaveral, and flew into Orlando the night before.

The Hyatt Regency is actually IN the airport, making it the most convenient airport hotel I've ever seen. And since it's a Hyatt hotel, that means it's clean, the rooms are spacious and well-designed, and the service is great. We had views of the airport/runway from our balconies and it was fun to see. And even with the proximity to tons of airplanes, the rooms were still very quiet. No sound disturbance at all.

The interior part of the hotel was very quiet, clean, and there was even waterfall type sounds I could coming from a few floors below, so that was very calming as we walked to and from our rooms. We got a really good deal on the hotel rooms that made it cheaper for us to fly in the night before and stay overnight than actually flying in the next day. It made for a less stressful trip overall.

The pool at the Hyatt was under construction when we visited, but they were shuttling people to another hotel pool nearby. We didn't take advantage of this since our visit was so brief, but the hotel had set up a rec room in one of the event spaces where we took the kids to play table tennis, foosball, and more. There was also complimentary lemon water and stuff in the lobby.

After a certain time in the evening, the elevators for the hotel required you to scan your room key to get to the upper floors, which made us feel even safer knowing random people from the airport couldn't get up there. Overall, we really loved this hotel, even though it was just a layover before heading to our cruise. I would definitely stay here again.

This is my go to hotel of choice when flying out of MCO for early morning flights. It's one of the best hotel / airport combinations anywhere. When going on extended business trips I usually park my car at one of the offsite parking garages and take their bus directly to the hotel.

Being a Hyatt Rewards member for many years I find them to be more than just a gracious host they really understand customer service and have a great  website so you can book your room online and also check in online prior to your arrival and skip all the hassles of waiting for the next customer service representative just walk up show your check in confirmation grab your keys and a off to your room you go.

I always request a balcony room overlooking the airport operations, the rooms are spacious, clean and very quiet with large comfortable beds.

They also have a Starbucks located right outside the elevator entrance to the airport it opens early and stays open late. This completes the tri-factor in my opinion.

Love, love, LOVE this hotel! The fact that it is IN the airport was instant love for me. I held a large meeting here with my work and all the people raved about the convenience.  It is literally above security check point and all the rooms either face the airport or face the tarmac which is super cool.

The rooms themselves could use updating for sure but the meetings rooms and bar area were great.  Update your rooms dear Hyatt and you will be even better!!

The hotel is within the airport right above the  security check lines. Great location for those that want to be right at the airport - if visiting theme parks, mall, etc you will definitely need a car. The cab from hotel/airport to universal city walk is $50 (one way)!

The rooms are average and I was happily surprised that I could not hear the planes overnight. I was out most evenings but one night when I returned at 9 I did hear 2 planes before going to bed.

We had an cocktail reception on the performance balcony which was a unique event space that overlooks the busy orlando airport! The staff was very attentive during the reception and dinner. I was surprised by the healthy catering options served for dinner! Nothing spectacular taste wise but defiantly got our veggies in for the day without the typical added butter/oil. (We were her for a training with a nutrition component so I assume the healthier menu was requested)

Overall, If what your looking for is a hotel airport it's good! I personally prefer to stay inside the city which is more conducive for exploring what a city has to offer.

We always stay here in a day room the day we leave for back home. Our flight didn't leave until late. We got into our very clean and well appointed room and didn't have to worry about it being dirty. The finishes are very nice. We headed to the pool and spent some time. I am glad they replaced the old pool liner. They recoated the bottom of the pool. Our weather was overcast but I still got some sun. We had to check out by 6 but did some shopping and ate dinner. We also took a nap on the comfy beds. The bell hops and staff are very friendly. It is a great price at around $110.00. We will be back.

This hotel is built inside the airport in orlando, which made my visit to Orlando very convenient for alot of things. Didn't need a car. Didn't need to go far for food. I liked that. The food at the hotel was pretty good.

The service was good. Staff was excellent. Didn't have an issue with anyone.

The hotel was pretty clean. Had a nice gym. Swimming pool was really nice, looked over the airport on the 6th floor. Very clean.

What I didn't like was the alarm that went off at 130am. it went off for 10 minutes... reason? No idea. None was given. No staff came to give us any apologize. Nothing. For that main reason, I gave it a 1 star. Now I have a flight to sfo at 6am. Tired and exhausted. Perhaps that's to my advantage.

Great location for Orlando airport as the hotel is attached to the airport lobby.  However, I would not recommend this hotel for any purposes other than airline travel.  We attended a 2 day convention at this hotel but stayed off property as the hotel was full during the dates we attended.  Although we paid several hundred dollars to attend the convention we were treated completely differently by hotel staff when we were asked if we were staying at the hotel and we responded "we are attending a convention here."  Valet service was horrible and acted like they received their training from the Capital One "No" commercial.

The hotel has large convention centers however the staff has not been trained to understand this is a revenue generating department for this hotel and the attendees of these conventions are paying customers. The staff seemed very defensive rather than service oriented.  I think that any person that was not staying at the hotel is assumed to be someone sneaking into the airport.

Beautiful property, great location if flying, but needs a good Hotelier to retrain the staff.

Wow this place is hard to find! It's inside the airport! If you're coming in on one of the flights it should be super easy since you don't even need a car. Just roll your luggage up to the hotel and you're set! For those who are driving, follow all or signs or just set up your GPS already. I had the best time trying to use voice recognition with the blvd.

Valet was nice and friendly and fast. If you need the car shortly, be sure to tell them to keep it close by. Always call your car 5-10 min in advance. Saves you some waiting time. Gary who dealt with unloading our car was great too. Fellow NYer. The bellhop who dropped off our luggage was helpful as well and loaded up my room with all my bags.

The front desk is helpful and friendly. The checked me in with ease and was able to answer my questions or find my answers.

I had a clog in my bathtub and they were quick to come up. Maintenance even dropped off chocolates in shapes of wrenches (right?!) for our inconvenience and proceeded to unclog my tub.

OK downfalls, sink is poorly designed. What were they thinking. The water splashes to the back and all over the sink and then puddles and starts to drop OFF the sink! Be sure to have towels ready to catch the drop.

TIP: BRING lots of tip cash. Staff is friendly but they also expect their tip!
