My family and I stayed here during Thanksgiving weekend this year and loved every minute of it. It's a top notch resort that is minutes away from everything,Seaworld,shopping/dining on Int"l Drive, etc. My villa was a 2bdr,2bth,and a full kitchen. The staff treated me and my family like  we were resort owners. Anything you think you want, they have. Anytime you go to Orlando with a large family, consider Marriott Cypress Harbour.

If you are going to be in Orlando, Florida for about a week, I suggest you stay at the Marriott Cypress Harbour.  Just minutes away from the Orlando's theme parks and attractions, this vacation villa is the perfect lodging option for both small and large families.  You can choose from 1 bedroom/1 bath villas or the popular 2 bedroom/2 bath villas that accommodates up to 8 people.  There is a full kitchen with cookware and tableware, dining area, living room area, and a utility room with a washer and dryer.  The overall resort is set in a tropical setting equipped with sparkling pools, a spa, a sauna, and a large lake where you can do recreational activities like paddle boating.

I fell in love this property and plan to stay again when I visit Orlando.  Where else can you get your clothes wet at Shamu Stadium and later on, wash them at the convenience of your own hotel room?  The prices are reasonable and well worth it.  You absolutely must stay here.

Highly Recommended

We spent a week in Orlando before our Disney Dream cruise and had the pleasure of staying at Marriott's Cypress Harbour.  We have nothing but praise to say about the place and we are very happy with the accommodations.  The 2 bedroom unit (7131) that we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious.  The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed for our party and we loved the full size washer and dryer in the unit.  There was a flat screen tv in the living room as well as other televisions in each bedroom.  The unit was very clean, modern and well designed.  We are extremely sensitive to noise and are light sleepers and I can say that our unit with families above us was amazingly quiet.  We were on the 3rd floor in an end unit, so natural lighting and windows were abundant.  The pool and recreation facilities were very nice as well.  Everything worked well including internet services.  The only reason why we're not giving this place a 5 star instead of 4 is that daily room service and cleaning was not available.  It was only about a 10 minute drive to Disney and Harry Potter World and there was plenty of parking.  It's unlikely that we will go to Orlando again, but we recommend this place for those that do.

This resort rocks! lots of fun stuff to do for the whole family!  The pools are really nice there's a small beach to lay out on and ride paddle boats in. It's close to Seaworld  and Universal Studios. Our room was great it had a full size kitchen complete with pots, pans plastic containers, glass ware , silverware, plates ,bowls, everything!! they also had a washer and driver, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms one had a ginormous bath tub, balcony, gas grills. all and all an awesome place to stay and visit orlando.

Booked directly from Marriott's vacationclub.com Web site. Received back an email confirmation with a quoted rate. Was never shown any other rate until checkout time, at which point an assistant manager insisted that I pay a substantially higher rate. The quoted rate was "no longer available".  I showed her the written quote from Marriott's own booking system. She refused to honor the rate. So basically there is no way to know how much a stay here is going to cost.

Our 2BR "villa" was really a city-style apartment with windows only on one side of the building. This made it rather dark inside. We had two bathrooms, but only one working toilet. TV lovers will not appreciate the old tube-style TVs and fuzzy analog cable reception.

Okay place to stay...but we've been to better.  They had a few tiles fall out the ceiling outside of our unit and they still have not been replaced.  There isn't much for the kiddos to do and o a rainy day a kids' event cost $30 per child.  Don' think we will stay at this timeshare again since we did an exchange into it.

Overall this was a nice resort and we stayed as part of a bonus week on someones timeshare (you can also book normally). It was cold but the pools seems nice and the rooms were updated and clean. I saw in another comment about tube TVs, all ours were flat screens. The 2 bedroom was large enough the areas spaced out well.

We eat at the cafe and the food was good and reasonably priced for a resort. The resort is close to the parks, a supermarket and some restaurants.

Bottom line, I would stay here again.

I really liked this resort.  It's right near Sea World and I-4 (and just a hop from Publix and an outlet center).  We stayed here for a few days and the lodging was perfect for 3 people.  2 bedrooms, a sitting area, kitchen, laundry and balcony.  We had the lake view and that was so relaxing in the morning!  There is pizza hut and other restaurants on site as well as a few pools, golf and basketball.

Parking is included and you are seriously about 10 minutes from the parks. No transport to and from though. 20 mins to the airport. But I-drive is just outside the door and you can take the bus service that services the area.

I have been to this resort twice and have been very impressed.  The resort is quite large and they do have a multitude of activities to do on campus, though both times I stayed I did not have time to avail of them.  There are pools, a sauna, fitness center, family bikes, regular bike rentals, a game room, and outdoor sports activities.  The rooms the, selves are very nicely laid out and decorated.  They are quite spacious and there is elevator access to upper floors.  The beds are very comfortable and the balcony ( at least from both of the rooms I was in) have nice views.  The master bedroom has a huge hot tub.  Free wifi is included.  Multiple devices can be connected at once and the connection is still relatively fast.  I would highly recommend staying here.

Eh. We came here with family who was thinking of buying a Marriott timeshare. Marriott had given them a voucher for 4 nights at Cypress Harbour at a reduced rate to "try" it out and listen to a sales pitch for about 3 hours.
The grounds are nice, location is good and the accommodation is clean.
But that's pretty much it. The restaurant on site is more like a fast food counter and the food is insipid. The TV in the sitting room is a flatscreen, but inside the rooms the TVs are from the 1990s with poor reception. This is more apartment complex-like and our room window faced the corridor, which was very unpleasant. We'd hear people screaming and running around late into the night. The cleaning staff would just be talking, joking and yelling in Portuguese and Spanish in the earning morning hours. We couldn't get good sleep at all.
Checkout was not fun. You have to be checked out by 10 am and we were running about half an hour late. We got several phone calls asking us to gtfo starting from 10, and that was really irritating because check-in time isn't till 4 pm. There is no way they need 6 hours to clean before letting another party take the room. We argued on the phone and they finally relented after threatening to charge us for another day. We got a checkout time of 11 am. When we went to checkout, we had an odd charge of nearly $100. When asked what it was, it was a charge for calling Marriott's toll free 800 number about the timeshare deal that they had signed up. After about half an hour's argument, they finally took it off.
All of this led them to back out of the timeshare deal they had signed a couple days back.

Pros:
Great location
Lots of pools and plenty of deck space
Variety and amount of activities
Free parking

Cons:
No shuttle services (you can walk out to the bus either LYNX or I-Ride)
Lots of construction noise during my stay that would occur from 8 in the morning until about noon
Villa was a bit small and more like an apartment
Dishwasher didn't work well and was loud
TVs were tube style

I have been an owner since 1991 and have been to 20+ other resorts. This is always the one we compare the others to. The condos are larger than all others and there are more activities than any other one! Do not go right after spring break as the kids thrash the place. I cannot say enough good things about my home resort.

Second visit to Cypress Harbour... Greeted with a smile at registration desk at 2:30 am after leaving snowy New York.  Lots of things to do... Pools are heated, landscaping is manicured, five people maintaining pools early this AM.  Requested a top floor, overlooking lake, great view and pool is close by.   As a Marriott owner,  I always feel confident that everything will always be nice! Current promotion is a free shutterfly photo book to preserve the great time we had here.

Really liked our two bedroom with screen porch!  Great stay of a week , plenty of space and newly remodeled room.  Everything worked great except the noisy ceiling fan in the bedroom .  Large 50 inch flat screen, good channels, good location to all parks, restaurants, grocery, etc..
Pools were crowed as it was spring break week and lots of screaming kids.. but hey thats what this resort is planned for -- good for kids-  putt - putt golf on site, 3 pools, kids programs, firepit with smores and singalong, golf on site!

For the price, this place is a great deal. The bedrooms were super large and the beds were comfortable. It appears to only have two beds but both couches have pull out beds, making the villa have 4 beds for less than 300 dollars. The villa came equpit with everything you could possibly need in an apartment, which made it easier for us to cook and save money. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. I only stayed a night but I really enjoyed the place. The only compliant is that they are doing construction on some of the buildings and it woke up my friends. I knew going into it that they were doing construction but didnt think they would be working on a sunday morning. The location is good for SEAWORLD, but its about 20 minutes away from universal. Not a bad drive if you take turkey lake tho. WIFI is free also, which was nice.

This Marriott Vacation Club is very nice!  The staff at check in was very attentive and accommodating (due to our delayed arrival due to flight delays).  This was the first location we stayed at (and I wish we had stayed here the entire trip); We were spoiled when we left!  The was only one issue, and we just chose to stay away from it, was that the lake had issues with midges.

The unit itself was very large (1200+ sq ft). and plenty of room for 5 adults, right on the lake, with a great view from the screened porch/patio.   The decor was very modern, clean, and well kept. All rooms had wall mounted flat screen TVs - HUGE TVs!.  The master bedroom has a 'pool size' jacuzzi in it!  The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed & small sofabed.  The living area is more than adequate and the kitchen housed all the amenities a timeshare should have (I've stayed at timeshares where a cookie sheet had to be requested!)  The pool areas and fitness room were nice!  On site is a little market that sells some staples items and Pizza Hut Pizza.

This location is very close to I-4 the main highway the runs along Disney World and very centrally located to Seaworld and Universal Studios.  It is amoungst 4-5 other Marriott Vacation Clubs that all look exactly alike in the area.

We did not trade into this unit, but booked directly through the marriott.com online site (I used a buy 2 get 1 night free promo code), but even without the discount the nightly rated compared to a single room hotel room!!!  That's another thing about Marriott, they have the BEST rates and the Vacation Clubs give you all the Marriott Rewards benefits you would get when staying at a Marriott Hotel (i.e. Gold/Platinum free in room internet, etc).

We were guesting with a Marriott Vacation Club timeshare owner for a week. We were very happy with the suite, accommodations and appointments. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. We were in a recently remodeled suite with modern flat screen TVs in the living room and both bedrooms. We used the jacuzzi spa nearest our building and attended one of the scheduled entertainment events at the main pool.
We had one bit of unpleasantness in the suite and the staff did their best to resolve it to our satisfaction. All of the interactions with the staff were very helpful and friendly with Kane being the main person we dealt with.

This is my first time at a Marriott. All I can say is its amazing! The staff here is wonderful. From the gate person to the front desk to the landscapers, all are genuinely friendly and kind. The property is beautiful and spacious. Our villa is very large with two bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen.

We found a Whole Foods and a good Publix just two miles away off Turkey Lake Rd. The Publix was much better to shop at than the other one by Sea World as its fully stocked, not just tourist stuff.

This place is a great place to relax and enjoy the area!

We spent a good year and a 1/2 points for our 8 wonderful nights in our timeshare during a peak season.  The location is very close to Sea World and not to far from Disney and Universal.

I really enjoyed every minute of being in this resort.... The check in was easy and very friendly! The room was awesome, huge, and spacious.

KITCHEN / LAUNDRY:

I loved having a FULL KITCHEN to cook our meals in some select nights. There is a Publix near by (pricey) and a Walmart up the street as well (much more reasonable).

I loved the big foyer hallway... and the FULL SIZE laundry room.  First time ever bringing a suitcase home with CLEAN CLOTHES.

I loved the kitchen bar where I could serve up quick meals for the family. It included a toaster as well.  A hot breakfast before heading to the parks and lovely hot snacks afterwards was wonderful.

There was a nice dining room table that sit about 6 or more.

LIVING ROOM / PORCH:

The couch was huge and comfortable but a little bit dated. The TV WAS HUGE and had a great selection of channels. If the boys brought thier PS3 I'm sure they could of hooked it up!  The internet here was awesome!

At the porch we had a GORGEOUS LAKE VIEW with Palm tree with a golf course in the back ground! WOW!!! The only disappointment was NOT seeing an alligator on the lawn near the lake.

Bedrooms:

I never had such a good night sleep in this ULTRA COMFY KING SIZE BED. Love the double sinks, granite counters, and exclusive shower.  The one issue here was that when a person wants to shower the light reflects on the room on the person sleeping.  Alternative is to use the kids shower. I did like having 2 FULL SIZE BATHROOMS!

The kids room was a bit small here. There was a queen bed and a pull out bed. There was a full size TV. They also had there own bathroom.

Room for improvement:

Very little since i'm giving this 5 stars but....

* They seem to call you every day or there is a message. I hate voice mail on my cell phone. so having listen to voicemail messages about activities when I have a list already is annoying.
* My dishwasher didn't work well and after 2 service calls still was mediocre...

Grounds:

The grounds were beautiful. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the HUGE fitness room with 5+ treadmills, elliptical, etc. My wife love the SPA and massage that I got her at a reasonable price for valentines days (who needs flowers).

I loved the "bubble pool" and the hots tubs at the main pool but unfortunately this area was under construction the time we were there but the Island pool worked out just fine!
LOVED LOVED the live entertainment... We spend a good amount of time at the Island pool... love the 88 degree temps at night in February!!!

I love the grounds to walk around... the boathouse was nice and the activity staff was fun. There is activities every day some have features that have a fee.

Business Center:

You need to go to the Lake house in order to use the business center which was quite a distance from us and it was limited. I hope the NEW LOBBY will feature such options.

BEWARE:

Unless you are really looking to buy.... We were offered a timeshare viewing (even though we were owners). Said no because we took one on this vacation with another vendor. These timeshare views can TAKE UP TO 3+ hours even though they say its only 90 minutes!  I kindly said no. Sorry but I get paid more than $100 for 3 hours with benefits and my vacation time is precious!

Overall.... I love the property... I still have reservation into Marriott as we were promised bonus points and never go them after fighting for them.  If anything I would buy into Disney time share which is just as nice.

Nice Time Share space.  We traded into this property to use some banked time while visiting Disney.
It's very conveniently located a few exits away.  It's removed from the main drag of International Drive enough to have some privacy and quiet area.  Our unit overlooked the lake/pond, which had a nice fountain in the middle that was on a timer to come on at 8am to gently wake you up to the day.
The units had full-sized washer/dryers instead of the apt-sized stackables that are in many time shares.

Free WiFi, and nice flat screens and DVD player in the living room.  Screened in porch with ceiling fan and light so you can enjoy eating al fresco without the middle Florida bugs bothering you.  Nice touch.

Nice spa and gym facility usually found only on the Marriott properties with a hotel attached.

I'd return.

There are moments in one's vacation in which the places one stays in is on par with the actual destinations that attracted the individual to the aforementioned setting. Marriott Vacation Club was, quite honestly, one of the highlights of my entire trip; a nuance which is not so often [nor genuinely] said of most holiday accommodations. Meticulously cleaned and furnished, the room(s), service, and amenities were simply the definition of the warmhearted phrase, "home away from home," so much so that I admittedly wished to stay for more than anticipated!

Our family of 6 adults and five children stayed here for a visit at Disney World, which is located very close by. Perfect place for small children as the hotel has  great heated pools, entertainment rooms, basketball courts, several gym sets, and a soccer area.  This resort could easily be utilized as a destination in itself   Food  choices are limited but ok for kids. Higher-end restaurants are located nearby-/Bonefish.  This resort is surrounded by lush landscaping, and our 2 bedroom suites had been tastefully decorated.

Our trip was part of an introduction to Marriott's Vacation Club. We attended the 90-minute explanation of the Club and were tempted to purchase. As my husband is facing uncertain health issues, we decided not to buy at this time. The Club is a bargain for those who travel and want to make memories with grandchildren .

I've stayed at several resorts in Orlando, so I've had my fair share of different brands and layouts. I must say that Marriott Cypress Harbour is the best resort that I've been to. It's the older resort in the area and it takes the number 1 spot out of all the Marriotts in the Florida/Caribbean region. They may not be the biggest resort in the area, but they are family oriented and have several different activities and amenities for everyone. There is no need to leave this property at all because they have everything you need on site. The location is perfect too. It's centrally located so it's minutes away from all the theme parks and big time restaurants. I'm sure you can throw a rock and hit any place you'd want to go. I highly recommend this resort for your Orlando vacation.

I love the Marriott Cypress Harbor. It is a nice and casual hotel, especially for families with children. They have an active Kid's Activity Center, packed with activities during the day and night for kids. The development is big enough for long walks and runs. The staff is extremely hospitable. We received two or so calls throughout the week asking us how we are and if we needed anything and then promptly delivered more towels, soap, and shampoo upon our request. I've stayed here multiple times and have always had a wonderful experience.

We are Marriott owners and traded our week through Interval international for this lovely property for Spring Break and were certainly glad we did!

We chose this location to be close to Universal Studios, but I wish we could have spent more leisure time soaking up the sun and enjoying the resort rather than beat the crowd at UnivStudios.

We had a red-eye flight and arrived around 6am.  Check-in time is 4pm but the front desk was very helpful and accommodated us right away.  We requested a pool view and a high floor.  We had a few choices of rooms and selected building 55 to be close to the pool.  We also took advantage of a corner room and had only one neighbor to the side of us.

The room was spectacular and very spacious for our party of 5.  The master suite had an incredible tub and comfy bed.  We all slept very well and with the "spring ahead" time change, we needed the rest.

We took advantage of the pool bar and restaurant too.  The chicken sandwich was a hit with a side of ceasar salad and shrimp bites.  Be sure to check out Happy Hour, as some of these items are on sale!

The activities were a hit with our kids.  They enjoyed Bingo with prizes, the ice cream bar and the boat rides across the lake.  We loved the "meet an alligator" program and even got to hold the little guy.  That was interesting and very educational.

The landscaping was not well maintained, which is so unusual for a Marriott property.  Every morning we had weird leaves and debris on our car and all over the parking lot.  Maybe a cleaning crew came later and did a spring cleaning, but while we were there, it wasn't done.

We felt safe with the guard at the entry gate and felt sorry for the folks manning the gate at 3am!  Way to go team :)

Tips and Tricks--- Be sure to read the daily activities posted on your "to do" list.  There are some fun things you don't want to miss and you can schedule your week around these times.
Play Bingo or tie-dye a shirt.  Enjoy the kids center with a variety of games.  You could win coupons for biking or boat rentals!
Take the boat ride across the lake and check out the other pool areas.
Don't do the 90 min presentation---it takes much longer than that!! ugh
Have $$ on hand for the toll roads--These are sneaky little buggers!
Enjoy the alligator presentation..it's free and educational and you can hold one :)

This place is AMAZING. My family has now made it a tradition to go back every Summer. There is something to do for everyone, and it's such a relaxing vacation spot.

First off the rooms are well kept, spacious, and comfy. I wish they weren't getting rid of the golf course which sits on the lands because it provides such a scenic view.

Next there are so many activites from making smores around a campfire, to making crafts, nature tours (Alex was the best tour guide, she's amazing) games, boat rides, I could go on and on. If you have kids you'll they'll never get bored. I didn't as a young adult lol. My favorite was the Luau pool party. It's also always fun to make new friends here. I had fun talking to my new British mates. There are three pools and even a Sauna! Everything is just beautiful.

The food is pricey, but most of the time we just cooked at our spot or went out to eat since downtown Disney is just a bop, skip, and hop away.

Can't wait to come back to this paradise!
