There are many Residence Inns around Orlando. This one is, I guess, the most or the second expensive one. The reason I chose this place was because I hate Blu-colored carpet that all other Residence Inns in Orland have. I just hate it. This place costs a little bit over $100 per a night but it's worth it! Very clean, friendly service, and nice facilities including nice pool, gym, resting area and etc. They offer a nice complimentary breakfast every morning and different foods (Taco, Chilli, BBQ, and etc.) every evening. It was my second stay in Residence Inn. They've never made me disappointed.

We stayed at this Marriott Residence Inn after being bumped from our flight (oh the joys of traveling standby!).  It is conveniently located across from the airport and offers a complementary shuttle.  After we checked into our 2 bedroom suite (traveling with kids, having a second bedroom is a must) we went downstairs for the Happy Hour, which was actually really nice.  They had chili, nachos, a small salad bar, and beer and wine, all of which were free.  Breakfast was also included, and consisted of eggs, sausage, oatmeal, 5 different cereals, and toast.  All in all it was a very nice stay.

Free breakfast, kind staff, excellent rooms.  Perfect for visitors who plan to go to the music festivals and other festivities in Orlando.

On our recent Florida vacation, we stayed at Residence Inn International drive for 8 days (see review) and moved to this location for 3 days (we made a last minute decision to extend but International drive location did not have availability).

This hotel is the same Residence Inn (in name) but is totally night and day in other aspects. This one's a lot nicer; newer and cleaner.  It's a hotel-like condo setting unlike the one in International Drive, that's more of an apartment complex style setting.

    PROS:

    - Booked a 1 bedroom suite here which was very spacious, even for a family of 4.  Sofa converts to queen size bed.

    - Updated and very clean suite.  Carpet is mustard yellow in color so you know it's clean. Housekeeping here seems pretty decent.  No known issues or complaint.

    - Kitchenette fully stocked and newer appliances. Utensils sparkling clean.

    - Onsite parking free.

    - Breakfast buffet are also so much better than Residence Inn International Drive.  They have a lot more choices, which helps a lot if staying here for extended period of time.

    - Hotel is located across the street from the airport so it's convenient in that area.

    - Elevator

    CONS:

    - If you plan to visit theme parks, it will be a bit of a drive...  approx 30-60 minutes through side street, depending on traffic  And if you want to use the freeway, you'll have to pay the toll roads to get to your destinations and back.  In this aspect, I would have preferred the RI Intl drive location.

    - Front desk appears distracted.  No welcoming smiles, almost robotic.  But not in any means, rude.  Just average, I guess.

    - Overcharged my credit card and it took over 2 weeks and 5-6 attempt to contact Michael and Sebastian with no success.  I finally had to call Marriott Elite Rewards membership to get the error overturned.

Billing errors do happen from time to time and that is understandable.  In fact, when I first saw the error, I was not immediately upset.  I called them with open mind.  The lady who answered the phone informed me that billing is not her expertise and she doesn't have the authority to change or correct anything.  Therefore she will send the message to an appropriate personnel, which would be Michael.  He will supposedly contact me within 24 hours.  I waited... 3 days after, no call back.  No messages.  So I called again.  Same response by a gentleman, this time.  Again, I waited.  After 5 calls on my part, it became apparent that I've either been passed along, forgotten or ignored.  I have not heard from Michael, Sebastian or anyone in that hotel for that matter.  Totally unacceptable.  So I did what I had to do, I called Marriott headquarters instead.  Billing issues got resolved within hours.  Credit was sent to my cc within 3 days.  I should have done this sooner, but I really wanted to give this hotel a chance to correct their error.

I was not asking for a quick resolution.  I just wanted to hear from the hotel management AS PROMISED.  Had they took time to call me, it would not matter if they'd tell me that credit won't show in my cc for 1 month or 1 year.  I simply just wanted an acknowledgment or a confirmation and a little effort on their part.  After all, I was hassled by THEIR error.

Overall, a 4 stars rating as far as our in-stay experience.  I deducted 1 full star for the billing aggravation.

Great extended stay property!  Staff was quite helpful during a 30-day stay, and the grocery purchase option is above and beyond in my opinion.

Simply the best place you can stay near Orlando Airport (MCO).  The staff is wonderful and attentive, nightly snacks with beer/wine/soda for those that want that extra food.

The hotel seems very new, the rooms are clean and pool is nicely tucked away giving you the impression that you are the only hotel in the area, not in a cluster of hotels.

Lives up to Marriott name.  Great staff.  Complementary breakfast and evening happy hour with munchies.  Very clean.  Plenty of dining options close by.

We stayed here 12 days recently.  Amazing customer service, especially Kim who gets to know each guest and takes an interest in them and their family.  The rooms look new, spacious and professionally decorated.  The breakfasts are excellent.  The pool and surrounding area are clean and very comfortable.  I highly recommend this property.

We loved this place. We had to stay here overnight as our flight was cancelled and the room and hotel really shocked us! For the price we paid we were very happy with it and would have loved to stay longer! The free social nights in Monday Tuesday and Wednesday was awesome but we didn't get to experience the breakfast. If your looking for overnight accommodation don't go anywhere but here.

Free shuttle to and from the airport as well.

We stayed one night stay, before heading out to Port Canaveral for a cruise.

The hotel provides complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel, which is nice. No porters was seen at the hotel. There were bag trolleys available, so we had to bring our own bags up to the room.

We got a 2-bedroom suite and a 1-bedroom suite for our family. Nice kitchenette in the suite. Free wifi. Very clean and well-kept hotel.

Breakfast was pretty good. A buffet continental hot breakfast. They had turkey sausage muffins when we were there, which is nice for families who do not take pork. You can also make fresh waffles from their waffle machines. Juice, milk, cereal, bread etc, plenty to be had. We liked it.

Location-wise, is near to airport, about 10 minutes drive for the shuttle. Location itself a little off from the main streets and convenience stores. Without a car, nearest convenience store is at least a 20 minute walk. With small kids in tow, not too feasible. The hotel itself has a convenience store corner, so can still get bottled water but the only small bottles available. For us, getting bottled water to make milk/food for small kids was important, so this is somewhat lacking. Some nearby restaurants include Chili's and Tony Roma within 10 minutes walk.

Just got back from a 6 week stay at this hotel.

Ok, so i'll be the first to admit that the public areas of this hotel need work - a lot of work. The hallways had lights that were burned out, some of the wallpaper was "stapled" together at seams where the humidity was making it peel. The pool was desperately in need of power washing and they needed to double to number of operative umbrellas in the pool area for shade. They also needed to build a smoking area (maybe out by the lake?) where smokers could sit in the shade - because what was happening was that the only shaded area near the pool (adjacent to the door to the breakfast area) was used by smokers resulting in cigarette butts, a permanent smoke smell, and badly stained patio furniture. Also the grills were in disrepair and desperately needed cleaning.

Ok, that said my room was always flawlessly clean, comfortable, and quiet. I had a 2 room suite with comfortable, modern furniture, excellent WiFi, plenty of power outlets, a well stocked kitchen etc.

But what really sets this hotel apart from other hotels were the people. Sebastian at the front desk, Kim who roamed the lobby talking to everyone who came through and really spending the time to get to know each guest... Pedro who always stopped to say hi whenever he saw me, and assistant manager Mike who went out of his way to make things right for me when I had a little problem or two.  They treated me like family -- even offered a "welcome home!" when I came through the door after a busy day.

Being away from home for 6 weeks is never pleasant, but the staff at this hotel provided customer service that is second to none! World class! So amazing that I was able to overlook some of the very minor cosmetic issues that they faced and can recommend without hesitation that you stay at this hotel if you have business near Orlando International Airport!!

    Great job!!

I stayed in this hotel for one night on my way to see my family in Florida. I was so excited to get to sleep after flying into Orlando at 11pm. Once I got my luggage all I had to do was give them a call and they sent a shuttle to come scoop me up. Didn't take too long, not that I would have noticed since I was probably half asleep. Got to the hotel and did the ordinary check in procedure. The woman at the front desk was very friendly. When I found out I'd been upgraded to a two bedroom suite she played along with my half awake joking about switching beds in the middle of the night to ensure I use both. I'm hilarious when I'm alseep, folks.

So, yay! Upgrade! Not one that I could really use but whatever, it's the thought that counts. My suite was beautiful. Seriously. Really nice accomodations. One bedroom had a king sized bed, one had a queen sized bed. I chose king, of course, for my slumber. There were two full bathrooms, and I showered in the one in the queen suite because the king suite was outiftted for the disabled.

There were tv's in all three rooms, everything was clean and orderly, the temperature was easy to control. One thing that takes away less than half a point is the air return was weirdly loud. I slept with my bedroom door closed so I didn't notice until the morning but if someone was sleeping on the couch it could be a problem.

Woke up in the morning, got myself all ready for my dad to pick me up and ventured down for my complimentary hot breakfast! It was pretty standard marriott fare. The kind of weird yet tasty folded over egg thing (i guess it's an omelette?) i just cover it with salsa and call it a day. Turkey sausage patties, some interesting latke-esque potato cakes perfect for dousing with hot sauce and ketchup haha. Then all those standard things like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, english muffins, muffins, waffles, juices, coffee. I was pleased with the selection (because there was hot stuff since I'm not too fond of the other stuff in general). I ate my breakfast, drank my coffee, grabbed my fresh fruit and went back to my room! PS there are tons of places to sit and eat and really nicely lit in the morning.

Check out was smooth with yet another friendly staff member. Then off I went to continue my trip east and south home with my Dad!
