Our family stayed 4 nights and loved the resort. The two bedroom villa has a ton of space. We stayed in building number eight and my only disappointment was not having flat screen TV's in our rooms. We rented a car and it came in very handy. The grocery store is far enough away that I could not imagine walking. The check in was very pleasant and check out went equally as well. We did not answer our room phone because we wanted to avoid any time share pitch. We will come back.

First off let me say I am a Sheraton Vacation Ownership member, but not here.  We decided to use some extra points for a week at Disney and this resort is definately close to Disney (approx 30 minutes door to most park gates, including parking, tram, etc).  But DON'T take the "goodies" to listen to the sales presentation.  Again, I am an owner (different Starwood property).  Unlike other Starwood properties, the salesman here was totally cheesy.  From the "we're so busy today you're in luck as I normally work back-end so we can cut to the chase" to the "you're again in luck as we have a special, that I shouldn't talk to you about, and might upset my manager, but I can get you another unit for a deep discount that the resort took back from an owner in divorce".  Said no after 2 hours of listening to the guy talk about how more points are better.  Got about $300 of goodies so $150 per hour of my time isn't the end of the world.  But I just love the places that say "this is a special offer so you can't think about it, take it or leave it....   NOW".    They wouldn't even let my wife and I go back to our room and have an hour to discuss a potential $22,000 purchase!!  Later talking to my main Starwood rep I found I could've gotten a much better deal if I wanted to upgrade through her!!!

They are remodeling, so the 1980's "Golden Girls" decor is going away.  Had an ok 1 bedroom premium condo that was just refurbished (though the balcony door was a busted piece of junk).  Also, for being *new*, the wood was already splitting away from the outside window panes.  The entire week we could also hear exactly what our neighbors where talking about and watching on TV (and they were not being overly loud).  What's with the no shampoo or laundry detergent (get at all other Starwood owner venues).  Only plus is close to Disney and Universal and lots of nearby restaurants, Target, Publix, Walmart.

Lastly, to give some comparison, the onsite Disney employees (for Disney tixs, info, etc) totally blow away the Vistana staff.  Take off the name tags and you could easily tell them apart by just interacting with them.

All in all, next time I'm going back to staying at an onsite Disney property (even as a Starwood owner).  Might pay a little more for room/food, but save on car rental and Disney parking fee.  And trust me, Vistana has a shuttle to the Disney parks but the times are not convenient at all.  The morning shuttle to Disney Studios doesn't even arrive until 2 hour after the park opens.  The last return shuttle from the Magic Kingdom is 3 hours before the park actually closes.

Just got back from four nights at the Sheraton Vistana Villages. Overall, it's a great alternative to traditional hotels. It's a timeshare resort, but I was able to book online at the Starwood website for an exceptional price that beat most 4 or 5 star hotels.
Conveniently located on International Drive, only 2 or 3 miles from Sea World. Grocery store and several restaurants are only minutes away. WDW about 5 miles away.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit in the newer section (building 26). According to a real estate agent friend who used to sell timeshares there, there are a lot of the older units that are in need of updating. However, ours was well appointed with a beautiful fully equipped eat in kitchen and all new appliances. At first we were missing a spatula and dishwashing detergent, but a quick call to the front desk had them delivered immediately.
The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub/shower combo, and large mirrors. My only problem was the lighting was too dim. It made shaving and doing make up a challenge.
The bedroom had a very comfy king size bed and a flat screen TV.
The unit also had a small screened in patio and living room with another flat screen TV, DVD and stereo/CD player.
It tended to be quiet most of the time, since we were in a part of the resort with several buildings still under construction. Immediately behind our unit was a new pool area and playground that wasn't open yet. There was a amusement park size waterslide, pirate ship, and a bar area. We had a corner unit that was next to a stairwell, so once in a while we could hear the stair door slam or heavy footsteps, but generally not disturbing.
We had full daily housekeeping, which included doing the dishes.
The main pool area has an enormous waterfall and a hot tub. There's also an adjacent "quiet pool" where you can enjoy a poolside massage in one of the private cabanas.
The Flagler restaurant is very basic with the usual Caesar salad, pizza, chicken fingers kind of menu. Nothing exceptional, but good for a quick bite when you don't feel like leaving the resort or cooking.
There is also a small convenience store located on the property for all your basic needs, but it was a little pricey. I recommend going to the Publix down the street for most of your supplies.
Twice we got an annoying 830 AM phone call to remind us to pick up our "welcome gift"  which is clearly a ploy to talk you into the timeshare presentation. On the third night I just left the phone off the hook.
Overall, the Sheraton Vistana Villages offers multiple resort amenities and spacious accomodations at very reasonable prices. I will definitely return.

We just returned from this great resort. Although we spent alot of the time at the Outlets, Magic Kingdom and Epot. Coming "Home' at the end of the day was great. We shared a one bedroom with our daugther, it was spacious and very nice. It did not feel like a hotel room.  It came with refrigerator, stove, sink, washer and dryer. Everything you need for a great stay- and they provide housekeeping.! The grounds and pools are beatiful.  They will ask you to attend a orientation to become an owner, it is mentioned that it is only 90 minutes.  It is really about 2 1/1 hours so please plan for the time.  It is great information and if it works for you the ownership aspect can be great for you an your family.  In a word the whole experience was AWESOME!  We hope to be able to come back again soon.

A friend offered to share her 2BR condo with me for four nights and I have to say I love the place!  We stayed in the Key West section and nearly everything was perfect.  Negative marks are for a toilet seat that was loose/broken in one bathroom (still worked but was wobbly), HBO didn't come in well for some reason, a charge if extra bath towels are needed, and the water smells awful, can't imagine anyone drinks the stuff.

The landscaping is GORGEOUS and the pools are wonderful too.  I really like their onsite restaurant.  The service the first night was a little goofy but the food more than made up for it.  The menu is small but everything I had was great.  My favorite was a blackened talapia with tons of fresh steamed veggies.

Overall the Sheraton Vistana Villages provides an immersive resort experience and I felt I truly was relaxing on a vacation instead of just having a place to sleep.  Big thumbs up!

We spent seven nights in the Key West phase of the Vistana Villages. Overall, we were disappointed in not only the level of service but in the upkeep of the property. The carpets were absolutely filthy. as a family we generally spend more than 21 nights a year in hotel room/timeshare. There were signs throughout the property of poor management/maintenance (from elevator emergency signs being so worn that they were unreadable to a constant lack of towels at the pool). We love timesharing (especially as a large family) but this property does not do justice to the Sheraton name/brand. Still it is a great location and a nice timeshare. We would probably stay here again hoping that the negatives were a onetime experience.

Paper thin walls. The "lockout" door to the next unit added to the noise factor. No housekeeping during my stay, not even trash pick up. Construction noise started way too early. Restaurant is basic, expensive and blah. I'm a guest among vacation owners. If I were a buyer, I'd really press the sales staff on the viability of a resort where the accommodations are so-so, the staff is detached and "Florida nice."  I'll say something nice: the pool is very nice.

Final update. Somewhere in America, a trailer park stands empty, because they checked into the room next to mine on my last night. OMG! It was like Cletus and Brandine checked in with the whole family: Brandine, Gummy Sue, Tiffany, Andie, Gordon, Lizzie, Jackson, Heather, Cody, Dylan, Dermot, Jordan, Taylor, Brittany, Wesley, Rumer, Scout, Cassidy, Zoe, Chloe, Max, Hunter, Rubella Scabies, Kendall, Caitlin, Noah, Sasha, Morgan, Kyra, Ian, Lauren, Q-Bert, Condoleezza Marie, Phil, Birthday, Crystal Meth, Dubya, Incest, International Harvester, Jitney, Witney along with Cousins: Merl, DiaBetty and Brandine.

My check out was at 4:15, I was in no mood to deal with them. At check out time, I was told "You cannot checkout, sir. We are running night audit."  A hotel you cannot check out of? Isn't that supposed to be in California?

Absolutely beautiful! My family and I stayed here last month August 2011 and we couldn't have been any more pleased with everything. The hotel room itself felt like home it was very clean and spacious. The pools are incredible and clean! My kids loved it! The staff was very friendly too. We went to Orlando to go to the theme parks but we enjoyed the hotel much more. Keep it up Shertaon Vistana Villages!

I stayed earlier this week with some friends spent more time out than I did in. The weather wasn't too pleasant so I didn't get to enjoy too much of the property but it looked nice and I've stayed at many places like this in Orlando. Maybe next  time I'll get some Sun shine that I deserve.

Loved it! The moment we stepped into our 1 bedroom villa, I was pleasantly surprised. It was like an apartment. Decor is modern and stylish.  It suited our stay very well for our 1 week Disneyworld Vacation.

Our villa had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable: washer & dryer, sleeper sofa, king size bed, marble top bath and kitchen tops, full size fridge, microwave, all kitchen utensils, dishes, pans, safe, hair dryer, iron w/ ironing board.

The kitchenette is adequate to make family meals and snacks.

Our villa was on the 5th Floor of a brand new building. Every building has an elevator. We had a balcony, but rarely used it as we were always on the go. The best part is there is a Publix grocery store across the street, and a pizza shop and a Chinese restaurant as well. Oh, did I mention that right across the street is one of many of Orlando's outlet malls?

Check in took about 20 minutes and check out was about the same. I did attend the timeshare breakfast, but only to receive the cash.

This is a very nice Sheraton property with beautifully kept grounds. There is a security guard at the entrance 24/7 and you must always have your guest permit on your dashboard to enter. There are pools scattered around too. There is also a small store that sells everything that you might have forgotten at home.

The entire staff is very professional, courteous and friendly.
The first time we stayed here, it was part of an Expedia package. We are returning again in October to do Disneyworld and a cruise, but we've booked directly with Sheraton at a lower rate!

It's approximately 10 minutes to the front gates of Disneyworld. You can either take the Sheraton's shuttle or do as we did and drive your own rental car.

Stay here and you will not be disappointed!

Although I live here, I had the pleasure of staying a few days at this local resort that caters to only to Vacation Club members.

During our stay, they were building and expanding the property thus there were quite a few dirt laden areas, but overall, the grounds were lovely.  A paved path winds you around the various building and is nice for nighttime strolling.  Fountains also flank the path and a hammock too.
The pool area is very enjoyable and quite large.  A massive waterfall is very enticing and kid-friendly.  Plus during the week, they offer poolside movies.  You can float or lounge while they show a movie.  During my stay, they were showing the recent family film, "Alvin and the Chipmunks."  It was a big hit and seemed like a great time.

They also offer a gym, tennis courts, snack bars, and a basic store for all the little items you may have forgotten or didn't realize you would need.  Prices are high but that's to be expected.  You can conveniently charge any of these purchases to your room if you like.

As for the rooms, I was happy with their setup, cleanliness, and comfort.  I noticed another yelper mentioned no maid service but we were under the impression that maids did not come while you are visiting.  This is due to the fact that the rooms are more homey and apartment-like.  They provide you with a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and basic cooking utensils which all provided for a more relaxed stay.

Thankfully, we had no problems checking in or checking out and were treated very well throughout the entirety of our time there.

Very nice suites at this timeshare location. Very comfortable.  However, you can hear everything.  I could hear the neighbors program their microwave, eating cereal and having a normal conversation.  Really thin walls.  Also, it is often difficult to find your building at night since there are multiple blocks and entrances, and little signage.

How you'll like this hotel really depends on what you want out of it.  As a business traveler, it was just okay.  If you're a family looking for a mid-level hotel, I think you'd really like it.  The rooms are large, with a big dining area and a full-sized kitchen.  The decor is pretty cookie cutter, like plenty of other timeshare/hotels I've stayed in.  The fact that the place is so huge makes for a real hassle to just go get a cup of coffee, or when your key card doesn't work and you need to run down to the front desk.  The grounds are expansive, and it is fairly close to Disney.  I thought the inside was old and worn-out looking (the carpet had two big spots where all the fibers were worn off.  There seemed to be many activities for a family to do there, but if you're a business guy attending a convention, I'd probably stay away.

Stayed at this hotel for a week long vacation in Florida. The suites were nice and clean and everyone was polite. I got pneumonia on vacation and had to get a hotel doctor. He gave me some pills and stuff and I was all better, the only thing was that the doctor was kind of pricey. Not a surprise.
My only complaints are that the pool is kind of far away from the complex I was in. And the dishes and cups smelled funky. I just washed them, but it was still kind of weird.
It's really conveniently located, right by Sea World, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios. Really nice hotel. Even though I was really sick, I enjoyed my stay.

Just checked in at this resort for a week. It is definitely showing it's sign of aging. The shower head water kept dripping. The tub has black marks all over. The patio door has mildew.  When I called them about changing room, they apparently don't have any other room available. If you are thinking about buying timeshare at this location, I would think twice before purchase.

We stayed with two friends for 7 nights here. We had requested to be in one of the newest buildings on the property, and were accommodated nicely by being put in building 23, one of the buildings in the St.
    Augustine section.

The unit was very nice, very new and roomy. Granite countertops, beautiful glass shower, and huge jetted tub, in addition to a great screened in patio.

The unit was pretty clean, other than a few stray hairs in the shower.

We loved all of the pools on the property, and really liked just walking around the property, as it was enormous.

We did sign up for the sales presentation, even though we're timeshare owners in Colorado, and were given $45. However, I wouldn't recommend going to the sales presentation if you are in any kind of a hurry. They told us it would be a 60 minute presentation, then they told us it would be 90 minutes, and we finally got out of there after an hour and a half. Yikes!!

All staff that we dealt with were very helpful, especially Dolly.

    We would definitely return.

Our stay here was fantastic. The jacuzzi tub was something I used every night, leaving me feeling refreshed the next morning. The king sized bed took some getting used to, but it was nice to have so much space. We didn't stay in the hotel that often, but it was cozy when we did. The list of events they had to do seemed neat, I was interested in going swimming in the heated pool, but never ended up going.

My parents liked it so much that they bought they're own bi-annual timeshare there, so I will certainly be back and look forward to my return someday.

Nice rooms, with kitchen and washer/ dryer. Although they need to fumigate like the other hotels or something. I know it's Florida, but man, they have a lot of bugs in their rooms. I've asked people who stayed at other hotels and resorts, they had no problems with bugs in their rooms. We had cockroaches on our beds in our first room. So we asked to switch rooms. The new room they gave us looks like it has been empty for quite sometime. There were dead bugs, spiders, mosquitoes, and some tiny dead bugs I don't know what they were, all over. In the dining light fixture, on the floor, in the shower, in the toilets...and also more cockroaches crawling on the bed. I didn't sleep much after that, we just wanted to leave. Oh, in addition, the timeshare sales people will call your room 3x a day. Even after I said no thanks, they still kept calling for my husband. So on the third day of them calling, we just unplugged our phone. On our last day we switched rooms and we forgot to unplug the phone, guess who was still calling? Yup, still at it on our last day there.

One more thing, the room we switched to, the ottoman had dried up spaghetti and sauce left over from the last guest. This was the room that looked like its been empty for a while. Not just a piece of noodle, no, like it was never wiped after a 3 year old child ate his spaghetti on it :(

Overall: not clean, bugs galore, annoying timeshare people. Plus side, spacious, washer/dryer and kitchen.

To start, keep in mind that many of the reviews on Yelp! for this property are actually of a nearby older development known as Sheraton Vistana Resort, not Sheraton Vistana Villages, which is far newer. Any review that mentions age, 1980's colors, remodeling needed, etc., must be talking about the older project a couple miles away. I believe the "Resort" has been at least partially renovated, but it's still not as new as "Villages".  Now that I have that off my chest, on to the review.

We are currently visiting Sheraton Vistana Villages for the second Thanksgiving week in a row because we truly love this property. I can only come up with one true complaint and a few minor criticisms, otherwise everything is fantastic here!

The property has tons of amenities: Three pool areas, hot tubs, a restaurant/bar, poolside bars, outdoor barbecues, tennis courts, a basketball court, shuffleboard, arcades, pool tables, ping pong, exercise rooms, a convenience store, fountains, lakes, wild turtles, a water slide and volleyball.  We have found the staff at every level to be courteous and helpful.

The check-in is very easy and the lobby has everything you need to get information and tickets to every theme park and other events happening in the Orlando area. My wife inquired about Orlando Magic tickets. The woman at the counter made a call and within 30 minutes we were called to pick up four tickets at the lobby. Where did the tickets come from? I have no idea! Great job

Our room is in the Bella Florida Village section. The balcony faces the largest lake at the property as well as the main pool area. For the second time we are in Building 5, which is far enough away from the main pool area that noise is not a factor. Our 2-bedroom unit is really nice and spacious and we don't have any complaints at all. The beds are great! They're comfortable and unlike most hotel rooms, I always wake up refreshed and not achy at all! (You know how hotel beds can be, but not these.)

The main pool area at the center of the property is very nice with two pools (a large family pool and a smaller adult pool) and a jacuzzi. The large pool has a giant rock formation with waterfalls flowing into the pool. Kids love to play under the falls and jump through them into the pool.  There is also a poolside ping pong table and a volleyball net in the large pool. Footballs and other pool toys can be checked out to use for free.

The only complaint I have is that the Wi-Fi signal inside our room has been very weak. When I take my laptop to the balcony the signal is strong and works well. This has worked out okay since the weather has been really great this week.

The minor criticisms I have are: (1) There aren't pay-per-view movies in the room. (2) Maintenance crews sometimes drive around too fast in their golf carts. However, they always yield to a car and usually offer a wave or smile. (3) It would be nice if the on-site convenience store opened a little earlier than 8:00AM and closed a little later than 9:00PM. We need coffee earlier and beer later!

We will definitely be visiting this property again in the future.  Good luck, have fun!

Villa:  I stayed on a top (5th) floor unit in the #6 building for a few days.  The building was just a short stroll away from the most important feature of my Orlando vacation, the pool.  The villa had two-bedrooms (1 with a king, other w/ 2 doubles) and a balcony, with open layout of a kitchen, dining room and living room.  Comfortably decorated in modern lines and colors.  There's one day with minimal housekeeping (replace towels & toiletries, empty trash)- Tuesday.  We made great use of the kitchen for breakfast and dinner- great to use when sick of dining out in restaurants- as well as the laundry- great feature so you don't have to pack as much.

Resort:  I didn't get a chance to check out much except the pools- there was a large main pool that featured a waterfall and a volleyball net, as well as a "quiet" pool that prohibited pool toys and loud people (I guess). Great location on the southern end of International Drive (past Sea World), and very close to Disney World.  Liked the free wifi for the entire resort.  Lobby was spacious and had nice cushy seating that I utilized while taking an A/C break from the pool.

We transferred to this hotel after staying at the Safari for 2 nights...
This is luxury but affordable! Great pools, one that stays open until 1am and one for toddlers that closes at 8pm.

This hotel has daily activities for all ages throughout the day, everyday.

Also, there is the I-trolly stop located directly in front of the hotel!

Build a bear workshops, blackjack games for teens, poolside movies, shall I go on!

Great pool and excellent location to Disney and other Orlando destinations, airport, etc.  However, beyond that, the room wreaked of mildew / mold.  But, the true deal killer / turning point for us, and the impetus for writing a review the second I got home is due to the ridiculous sales pitch for time shares that we got lied into doing -neatly guised as a "complimentary breakfast and gifts for the kids" (IF you consider 4 oz. Yogurt and a muffin "breakfast").   The young man who conducted the sales effort was a very nice guy and I have nothing against him, but EVERYTHING against the concept of trying to swindle people during their vacation time and being overly pushy on my dime.  Look, what part of "I'm on vacation" didn't they understand or respect.   During my stay they wouldn't give me another Starbucks packet for morning 2 of our stay (just 2 for the week!), however, they would like me to invest $28K with them.  I see how it is - makes sense.  It is an ignorant money grab that I did not care for, and we won't go out of our way to stay with Starwood / Sheraton again because of it.  The Truth...it's Actual!

We stayed for 2 nights for a very reasonable rate.  The guest front was very polite and professional.  The room comes with a complete kitchen, dining area, and washer and dryer...Awesome!

There is no maid service unless you request it and pay extra money.  If you can keep your room tidy during your stay, it is a good place to stay for a long vacation.

Only one complaint: the bath tub was dirty.  It looked clean first but then I looked under the soap dish and turned the Jacuzzi...some nasty came out.  They do not clean the stuff you cannot see at glance.

This place is definitely a good option for an affordable long stay in Orlando.

My parents planned a week trip to Orlando with a Costco package deal.

We arrived late, but they checked us in in a timely manner - although it didn't seem like the person at the front desk wanted to be there - which is fine coz we were on vacation! The property is huge and we were lucky to receive a room with a great view. The greenery is wonderful and the birds chirp in the morning. Location is convenient.

Like many other reviews, they pressure you during check-in to attend a time-share seminar. They make it a point that they only want people who make over $40k or can speak English, which I thought was very rude and unwelcoming. They basically said to our face that they welcome my father, but not my mother because she only understands partly - what a dick move. Thumbs down.

We stayed for a week. During our stay our room was sometimes really clean, sometimes not. Definitely not well stocked and they were often confused. They give us what we don't need and not what we ask for. At one point we had 10 pieces of soap. We asked for laundry detergent and they give us a ton of dishwasher detergent. We asked for coffee and they don't leave the cream and sugar. A bottle of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner is not enough for 3 people when its hot, humid and smelly!! COMMON SENSE PEOPLE!!!

The walls are thin which don't bother us. What DOES bother us is us always seeing a cart full of _insert here_ outside of our room. It feels gross and not well kept. I had no problems with the internet being slow.

We booked here because Sheraton is an established brand, but after staying we were disappointed with the service. At least I know not to purchase a timeshare here and I would not recommend people to.

Usually this hotel chain has no Issue with early check-in. Check in is at 4pm. We arrived at 3pm. There was no clean rooms at that time. The staff told us they would call when our room was available. They did not call and at 4:30 they wanted to give me 4 options. Sounds like they had multiple rooms available but made no sort of effort to call us.

The rooms themselves were spacious, clean and comfortable. The furniture was modern and the suites had good amenities.

The maid service was horrible. They are suppose to make sure all items are available on there check sheet before the rooms are rented. We did not a toaster and some utensils. The midweek service did not vacuum, change the garbage or make the beds. we did get clean towels but no refills on soap and toilet paper. I will say that the midweek service  was on Christmas  but really do your job right.

The jacuzzi tub is always my favorite in the rooms. Very relaxing and refreshing.

The hotel complex has a lot of things to do. Pool tables, ping pong, basketball courts, tennis, shuffleboard and 7 pools. Not bad. They also have daily activities for families and children (which is typical at the timeshare units).

Amenities 4 stars; staff 2 stars as they were often rude; rooms and furnishings 4.5 stars; housekeeping 2 stars.

This resort is top notch.  My family and I checked in here in Mid-January and were very impressed with the amenities and renovated rooms.  We stayed in the Key West Development where we were surrounded by gas grills, pools, fountains and a playground for the kids.  Had I known the property was going to be this nice we'd have stayed for an extra day to take advantage of the surroundings.  Instead our time was spent at the Disney Parks from dawn till dusk so we pretty well missed out on the opportunity.

We stayed in a one-bedroom suite.  Bed was very comfortable and bathrooms spacious and accommodating.

Full Disclosure: This is a Starwood Vacation Club Property and they will make a pretty strong push to get you to take a tour.  There are benefits if you go in terms of Starwood Points or Cash as well as discounts off your Park Tickets.  Keep in mind that the tour says it will take 90 minutes, but plan for more like 2 hours.

We booked our 10 day Honeymoon through Costco and this was the resort we were given as part of our package. We flew in on the red-eye so we arrived fairly earlier then the 4PM check in time. We called just to see if we could possibly check in earlier as we were exteremly tired from wedding and midnight flight. We were told to come in and they would let us know. We arrived and there was no issue and a room was ready for us.....
YUCK the stench of musk/mildew hit you ike a ton of bricks when we walked in.....Obviously we were staying in an OLDER room even by looking at the outside of the building, I could tell....The funiture is OK old fashion, wallpaper peeling, shower door had gaping at top and bottom which meant floor was wet after getting out, jacuzzi tub had black things at the bottom which made me feel like it was dirty....even after rinsing it out it felt gross.
The room had dishes, dishwasher, washer/dryer, towels...What caught me off gaurd was that they only provided you with 1 laundry detergent packet and you could buy more ($1) each.....Also coffee packets were not free, but they are free at cheap hotels???? Just expected more out of a nice resort.....
We did agree to go to the timeshare meeting, they gave us $100 and 2 glowing lightsavers for the kids....Little did we know that we;d be there for 2+ hours listening to one person tell us how great it was to be a timeshare holder...They gave us a tour of the newer building---WOWZERS!!! they are amazing compared to the damn building we were stuck in!
The shuttle times are crazy! The last shuttle picks up at WDW before they even close! Also only have one drop-off/pick up for Universal....Made us want to drive ourselves so we could come and go as needed.
All in all I think this place is NOT the best!

First time at a Sheraton and it won't be my last!! Had wonderful service with a smile!!! We arrived early and Rosanna looked with a mission to get us a room early !! Which was amazing ! When we got to our room it wasn't what we were expecting ( no balcony and no close to the pool , which was important we were traveling with small children) we called down and Eddy said no problem and set us up with a wonderful room!!! We were so amazed at how helpful and understanding they all were!! I called the comment line they have to explain and to make sure they were praised for their great attitude and service and  got a prompt call back from their manager !!! Will be back!!

The Vistana Villages resort was a great location for anyone who is looking to vacation in Orlando without staying at one of the Disney hotels. The suites provide an excellent feeling of being at home away from home and the resort offers a number of great amenities. The waterfall at the main pool is awesome. :)

Almost 5-star quality!  Please note, you have to ask for a renovated room (23-26) and these go first, so call ahead before your vacation if you want a newer building.  Although I have stayed in the older buildings and was pleased there as well.  Cleanliness in the newer buildings is, of course, a bit better.  Sometimes they offer excellent deals for rooms in the older areas and the stay is still GREAT.

I have been here now about 6 times.  I often come to Orlando for business, so I'd rather stay here, get points, and then drive to my events.  I LOVE this resort.  It is just far enough from everything & just close enough to it all.....best to have a car, or plan to use the shuttles for Disney.  LOTS to do for kids & families!  They are always doing some fun activity like karaoke, movie nights, etc.

The St. Augustine pool (Pirates Cove) is fantastic.  There is a waterslide & a playground here too, as well as a bar in the middle with food.  They have lifeguards (not sure if this is year-round?) and usually I've seen 2-3 of them at the pool, they are great at keeping the kiddos safe.

Be prepared to "say NO" to the time-share pitches and the "get discounted tickets" or "free coffee & breakfast" offers.  It is a timeshare property & they will try to sell you....there is nothing wrong with a polite "no thanks"!

Always clean linens & bathrooms on my vists.  Always friendly staff (I rarely have need other than check in).  If I ever were to buy a timeshare, it would be here!

Love this off-Disney property.  We just returned and I can't wait to go back.  The two pools are very family friendly with lots of space to play and swim. Suite style rooms give everyone room to breathe.  Full kitchen.  Great in room washer/dryer.  You really get a lot for your money at this resort. It's very convenient to attractions, shopping, and restaurants.  Business Center, Marketplace, and Fitness Center were great.  I also did aqua zumba at the pool to keep up workouts.   Also has shuttle service.

Where do I begin? Such an amazing resort.  You feel like you're at home. I stayed here a month ago for 6 days. The suites are basically like an apartment.  We had a wash room with a washer/dryer and they supplied laundry detergent. The kitchen had EVERYTHING from plates, utensils, pots and pans, baking dishes, glasses, a coffee maker, blender, dish washing machine, full refridgerator, stove, microwave, and  a lot more.  The dining table was full sized.  The living room came with a full sized couch and chair to lounge in.  The first bedroom had two full size beds (not twin size) a full sized dresser, and access to a bathroom.  It also had a 32 inch screen LCD TV.  The living room had a 40 inch (I think) LCD TV, DVD player, and Bose speakers.  The master suite had a king size bed, a jacuzzi (good for soaking feet after running around Disney World all day!) a separate bathroom, large dresser, access to the patio which is also accessible from the living room. The patio has a nice table and all the patios were screened in.

We ordered room service several times and we were so pleased with everything we would order. Portions were always generous. We only got to go to the pools twice, but they were great. I took my 10 year old son to the kids pirate pool and he loved the slide that was off to the side.  The main pool was great too. I forgot what night we went on, but they were about to show a movie outdoors after the sun set. Property was extremely well maintained.  We had free shuttles to Disney World.  A note about that, BE ON TIME because the shuttle service is SO amazingly prompt and they will leave on time!

There's also a small market nearby on the property. We went there twice.  At first I was disappointed, I wanted it to be larger and have more in stock but in actuality, it was perfect. We bought milk, cereal, a few fruits, and pasta.  It was just right for quick eats to keep stock in the suite.

The staff was always friendly and accommodating. We had no problem checking in or checking out.  When the porter saw me with our luggage, he immediately offered to hold it for us until we left.  He was very sweet.  We went and had lunch from the restaurant that we had been ordering room service from and then hung out and walked the grounds.  Honestly, I wish I had spent more time enjoying Sheraton Vistana Villages.  There was an activities center and a fitness center.  There was so much to do and so much to enjoy, you really don't have to go anywhere else but it IS Orlando, Florida!

I think I covered everything.  Loved this resort. One cautious note, if you're not a time share holder, be prepared. Upon check in, after you go to get your free Disney Shuttle pass, they make an appointment for "Starbucks coffee and continental breakfast" (Which they insist upon constantly)  which is a front for their time share presentation.  We skipped out on it and they called our room 2 times asking why we didn't make it.

My parents are timeshare owners, but not at this property. They used some points to take us all to Christmas in Florida and at Disney.

The room is comfortable and fairly nice. But we had some major problems right off the bat....the first being that housekeeping somehow missed the large empty wine bottle (which was for some reason greasy to the touch) that was sitting in the middle of the first bedroom. How can they miss THAT?

The other being that there are 5 of us, a table that can easily seat 6-8 and only 4 chairs, which is an issue with these apartment style rooms where we can and will cook our own meals. We called housekeeping/front desk about it several times and never got an extra one.

There were not nearly enough hangers in the rooms and a great deal of the utensils and kitchen items that were on the list as being in the room, were missing. We had to make several calls requesting these things and they seemed to get annoyed by it, but we wouldn't have had to call if the things had been there in the first place.

And the most annoying is that the "high speed wireless internet" was non-exisitent, or worked for, tops 10 minutes/day. They have tech support on site but they don't seem to have *any* idea what they are doing.

The property is lovely. We only explored the pool in our section of the resort. The restaurant is decent but overpriced. And the hotel is located conveniently near, but not too close, to the Disney Parks.

Overall though, it left a bitter taste in my mouth, and made me wish it was more like the property in Phoenix that we stayed at last Thanksgiving...

Added on the last night of our stay:
Also....someone should tell the female bartender at the Flagler Station restaurant on site that if she wants to complain about guests and customers, that is fine...but she shouldn't complain about them to OTHER GUESTS. Especially when I think she is in the wrong and the guest is right.

If you're exchanging through Interval International, make sure this is your resort of choice for the Orlando area. You're just down the street from Sea World, Disney, and Universal Studios. There's a grocery store near by and the property is just far away so you can relax without the tourists!

The two bedroom villa is absolutely gorgeous, with a king bed in the master and two double beds in the other bedroom. The bathrooms are stocked with clean towels and the utensils in the kitchen are in great condition.

Yes - upon check-in they will pressure you to attend their little "welcome breakfast" and try to attend a presentation. We just said "no" and were not hassled afterward.  We LOVE this place and we will make sure to come back. Beautiful views. Quiet. Great space to stretch out and relax.

Oh yes. THIS IS LUXURY AT A GREAT DEAL :D

Just stayed here this past weekend (Thur-Sun), wouldn't go back, though I didn't feel a 2 was fair since it was my first "official" stay at a resort.

The room was pretty, though we were right across from the current construction (Building 27 has a lovely view, let me tell you), and I really didn't love being woken up at 6:30am in the morning on Friday and Saturday to the lovely sounds of a crane and hammers. I know they need to do their work and all, but I feel like I would fill up that area as a last resort since the construction is loud and invasive.

While the room was pretty (we had a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom that joined together), there was some red dried material that looked like blood on the bottom of one of the showers. Gross. We had housekeeping come up to clean that.

There was a cart full of pillows that sat outside our building for an entire day, and I'm not sure why is was there and how it was forgotten. Checkout time on Sunday was at 10am, and at 9:40am housekeeping came up banging on our door, and they bothered us for a couple minutes about how we needed to leave. We knew, that's why we were all moving about and packing up everything. That wasn't appreciated.

So, my experiences with housekeeping and the construction was very poor.  The grounds were well-maintained overall, the pool was pretty nice, and there are lots of activities, mostly for kids, that cost a bit extra to do, but that are available.

Pros: Publix is very close by, parts of the property looked very pretty.

For the next few weeks, I'd say do what you can to avoid building 27 as there's lots of construction that WILL be intrusive and obnoxious. I did want to like this place, but I just was just unpleasantly surprised.

As an owner with the Starwood Vacation Ownership I was offered an owner preview incentive to visit this Orlando property.  I came to find some Florida sunshine but the location is ideal for visiting all the major parks.  I didn't have any problems with parking and my villa was adjacent to the main pool area.

My ownership is with the Westin properties and I've stayed there twice.  The Sheraton experience is not quite the same.  The room is essentially the same layout which is very nice.  But the customer service details are not the same.

I wasn't offered help with my bags when I checked in.
I found the end of a hand rolled cigarette in the bedroom drawer and tissue on the floor next to the bed.
All the other resorts I've visited have provided bags that advertise the resort and can be used as a beach bag - no such bag was provided.
The market did not have small sizes of items or starter packages like other resorts offer.
I attended an owner review and was pressured to purchase additional ownership.
I stayed for 5 nights / 6 days and housekeeping did not come in and clean at all.

I was allowed to do a late check out on my last day, which I really appreciate.

Overall it was a nice visit but just not to the level I've come to expect from the Starwood properties.

Excellent. Beautiful property, three distinctly different pools. We have two young girls (ages 3 and 6) and we plan nothing other than to hang out at the pools, feed the ducks, do the fun little crafts scheduled throughout the day (each day) and eat at the on site restaurant a few times. Then we eat other meals in our villa- fully stocked kitchen. I do highly recommend the two bedroom suite if you can swing it- they're enormous and wonderful.
No need to go to Disney parks until they're a little older (and taller).

This was me and my husband's first experience at a timeshare resort.  The first impressions at the desk were good.  Everybody was friendly and service was efficient.  However, concierge services would only recommend restaurants that Sheraton obviously has a partnership with, as they would only recommend the restaurants that they had drink and appetizer vouchers for.  If you wanted a real, personal recommendation, you'd need to hit up Yelp or a local.

The accommodations themselves were spacious and adequate, albeit dated and a little dingy (I'd hate to see what it looked like pre-renovation, as they claimed those rooms were recently remodeled).  We were placed in the 30 building, which provided a nice deck and view of the fountains!  Our area was relatively quiet (except for the occasional excited stamping of little feet upstairs) and parking was easy to find.  The security at the gate was a nice feature, as well, and everybody by and large was friendly.

The kitchen was adequately stocked with tools, appliances, and dishware.  Nothing fancy, but definitely enough to allow a family to make meals.  All in all, I was overall pleased upon first impressions.

The reasons that I would not return to this resort, however, are:

    1) The constant pestering to attend a timeshare presentation.  By constant, I mean 1-2 calls per day, all the way up until the even prior to checkout.  By the last few days, they were offering us more money to go, so you might want to try your luck by holding out if you're not averse to timeshare pitches.  (I've been through enough to know that they all take 2+ hours and are way more high pressure than they let on, so I don't do them anymore.)

    2) Poor organization for their fire sprinkler inspection.  They gave us notices twice over two days that they needed to access our unit for the inspection.  It meant that the first inspection didn't happen on the day they planned, so our unit's inspection got pushed back to a second day.  Living in a condo myself, I understand that these inspections need to happen and they are often coordinated with the fire marshal, but a place of business really shouldn't request to access guest's rooms more than necessary.  Poor planning.

    3) Stocking issues.  We had to request a second trash bin for the bathroom area.  There was only one in the kitchen, which was super inconvenient.  Also, the housekeepers didn't restock the toilet paper during our one cleaning day, and we had to call guest services to bring us more.

    4) Debris in washing machine.  When we washed our first load of laundry on the resort, our clothes came out covered in a bunch of paper bits, as if someone's napkin disintegrated in the machine and wasn't cleaned out.

    5) Housekeeping issues.  The housekeeper knocked on our door 20 minutes prior to our 10am checkout, stared dumbfounded at my husband when he answered the door without saying anything.  When he asked her if he could help her, she said, "I thought you were checking out today?"  We told her that we were in the process of leaving and that we still had time before checkout.  I've never had housekeeping try to access a room before the checkout deadline!

    6) The shuttles weren't as convenient as the ones we've used in the past.  They only run 4x in the morning and 4x in the afternoon--nothing in the evening and they only run one way (to the parks in the morning, and to the resort in the afternoon).  If you wanted to stay until evening or until the parks close, you would need to drive.  If you miss the last shuttle back in the afternoon, you'd need to taxi ti back.

I honestly don't know if this is just how timeshares are run and if I'm unfair in comparing a timeshare to hotel standards.  Regardless, my husband and I will stick to hotels in the future, as we like newer, more modern accommodations and housekeeping that's run on a tighter ship.  Childless couples like us may not enjoy the Sheraton Vistana Villages.

While I wouldn't recommend it to other young couples, this place is great for a family on a budget.  The ability to cook your own meals would save you a ton of money and the kitchen is adequately stocked with tools.  The screened deck will let you enjoy the outdoors without bugs, and the rooms are spacious enough to house a family.  The availability of numerous pools will also be nice for kids.  Staff was also super friendly and quick to respond to our needs.

Our room was clean and spacious. We felt like we were home away from home. The kitchen was clean nice appliances. Now the bad part we went on the second floor and a couple on the 3rd floor were loud. Someone was running around stomping on the floor. Also they had a loose storm drain and when cars drives on top it made a loud annoying noise. We did not get any rest at all. A teenager boy was skateboarding all evening and when we checked out informed them about the issues the front desk didn't seem to care at all. I told them the kid was still ridding his skateboard outside she said oh as to say I don't care

Great location. Lots of activities for everyone. Several pools in each area. One big thing which was fine with us is there is no smoking in the rooms or balcony. So for those of you who like to smoke they do have designated areas but not that balcony. Which makes the room very clean and smoke free.Check in was smooth and everyone was friendly. They did try to ask if we would want to listen to the time share but we did not. Entire property is clean and kept up to date. you see many service and cleaning people around. all are friendly and helpful. Great walking and jogging paths. Kitchen in villas was perfect for breakfast and we used it for lunch along with the BBQ grill outside the villas . we stayed in a 2 bedroom ( one master bedroom with bath and whirlpool and second bedroom had two queen beds with a bathroom attached) 2 bath villa with a pull out sofa. You are close  to International drive and many restaurants. Theme parks are within driving distance.  Pool area has plenty for all ages and a dj playing music and corn hole , pin pong we even painted wine glasses one day. We had a great weekend. Would definitely come again. we were a group of 7 and the villa was perfect!

Well, let me start out by saying we are owners in the SPG network. We came here already owning a one-week lock off in Kauai. After our owner review with saleswoman, Fabiola, we ended up actually doubling our ownership and upgrading to the Elite level by trading in Kauai and purchasing a four week lock-off in Orlando (better travel value for your exchange star-options). We love our SPG ownership and use it to the fullest. We have stayed at SPG villas in Kauai & Maui. In relation to our current stay here at The Vistana Villages, we booked solely on star points earned on our SPG Amex (25 nights) and we are using our Star-Options in Kauai later this year. I am providing my review of the property as I, myself, find other visitor reviews VERY helpful when planning stays at a property to where I have not been. I hope the following is helpful to someone.

When booking this stay and prior to putting in my personal request for the "type" of room location with a booking agent, I looked up reviews of this property and felt it was difficult to discern between the different building "phases" which is important when staying in such a large property for an extended period. When we arrived we were booked in building 1 (the Bella phase) and did a quick walk through of the room and then asked for a room location change. The room had a nice layout and was well furnished / decorated, however we did not like the "busyness" of being near the main pool, nor the view from the ground level. We were moved without issue to building 15 in "The Keys" phase and we love this location. It is a lot more "quiet" and much less busy with a beautiful view of an on-site lake. The pool is the perfect temperature, has plenty of lounge chairs and is clean. We use the workout facility daily and have had no issues with the equipment or the cleanliness of it. I like that I can plug in my headphones and watch a tv program while on the treadmill.

My children are ages 9 & 11 and they enjoy visiting the other two pools on occasion (though they are not my or my husbands favorite due to the crowds). They also really enjoy playing at the basketball courts.

The cleaning staff and my satisfaction of their job varies day to day. I am sort of a clean-freak with pretty high expectations. Some days my room seems cleaner than others and I think that depends on who you get. My cleaning person today was amazing and he said I could request him to come every day, which I plan on doing. His name is Charles.

Any and all problems & concerns I have had were addressed by the staff quickly and satisfactorily.

The fact that it is an "older" SPG property had me concerned when I booked our trip, but of the two rooms I have seen in two of the older phases - both have been maintained well and are up to date on decor and furnishings. They have a lot of security here and that makes me feel safe. we are close to all the main attractions and located on a "main" road making it very easy to get to places, including the local grocery store (Publix).

The only reason I do not give it 5-stars are due to two complaints. We like to grill almost nightly and there are not enough Gas grills on this property to accommodate the number of guests. We have wanted to grill our dinner 5 nights since we have been here. Two of the nights we were able to grill right outside our building, two nights we had to go use one at another building (one of those nights we offered to share the grill with another guest) and one of the 5-nights we literally could not get on a grill anywhere near our building because they are always being used by other guests, They REALLY need to invest in putting in more grills. No one wants to deal with charcoal (they do have those scattered around) and I've only seen one family use a charcoal grill once in the 9 nights we've been here.

My other complaint is that we have had very spotty wifi connection from our room. My husband is trying to work from his computer and this has been an issue. I think it might be due to the fact that we are in a room / building that it about as far from the main building as you can get. But, our Iphone & IPad (through AT&T) connections work fine.

Parking has not been an issue at The Keys phase at all, though it seems busier / more crowded and full lots at the other two phases. Even though our phase is furthest away - it is a quick walk to the other two pools.

The restaurant is just o.k. - but it doesn't concern me because we cook most of our own meals or go eat on the town.

All in all, we love to vacation this way - in a villa. I appreciate the ability to do our laundry and cook our own meals - which is sooooo much better than a typical hotel stay, in our opinion. The negatives I have seen posted about this property I just have not experienced and any problem we have had (with the room, etc.) has been handled to my satisfaction and in a professional manner.

Do not stay here. Got a great deal from a buddy who owns timeshare. Should have been a red flag.
Resort was nice and close to disney.  That's the good.

The bad. First the wifi sucks. No signal in the room. We forgot our passes for disney and needed them printed. Went to business center. It was closed. No printers working. Sign to go to market place. Of the four printers and computers. One was working and had almost no paper. What a joke.
Worse off the dryer in the room took four hours to dry the clothes. She had to do them four times to get even close to dry. So it was on and buzzing every hour most of the night. The worst part my wife's medication was stolen. They left the iPads and laptops but stole the drugs. We had to have to doctor paged and prescription transferred. Huge cost.
The cherry on top was when I got the survey to review and I told them the issues. Manager called to say sorry.  no hey come back for a discounted stay no can we send you a gift certificate. No appreciation whatsoever. John jones the manager needs a course on management 101 and they need to run background checks on the cleaning staff with drug addictions. There are plenty of places to stay in orlando. Don't make the same mistake we did in November of 2013.

I'll start my review off by saying it seems like we were in an older or poorly renovated part of the property because my experience didn't match up with a lot of the positive reviews.

My in-laws picked this place to stay for a week long trip to Orlando.  Upon check-in there is constant pressure to attend a timeshare seminar and they will call you constantly about it while you were there.

Initially, the property seemed nice but then I started adding up all the little issues and decided this place was a bit of train wreck compared to other places I've stayed in the area.

The nice thing is that our unit had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and living area.  That was a good amount of space for 4 adults and a child.  Each room had a TV and the living room had a DVD player.  The pool is kept heated to around 80 degrees which is comfortable provided its not too cold outside.  They also had outdoor gas grills which we used one night to grill steaks.

In terms of the list of issues, here is the things that stuck out in my mind:
    - Parking lot wasn't well attended.  Many nights we'd come back from Disney and have trouble finding a spot to park near our building because many other guests parked across multiple spaces.  This occurred every night we were there and it was the same vehicles each time.

    - Tile in the 2nd bathroom was loose.  The tiles moved when you stepped on them and the grout was cracked.

    - Same bathroom had a clogged toilet the 2nd day we were there.  We called maintenance but nobody showed up to address the issue.  The maid flushed the toilet and we came back and found it overflowed.  We called again and they eventually sent someone out to fix the clog and clean the bathroom.

    - Master bathroom bath tub had chips out of it with jagged edges for some reason.

    - Sound proofing was poor.  You could hear people walking outside the unit.  I could also hear/feel someone moving things in the unit above most nights.  Maybe they were remodeling some of the rooms at night?

    - Toaster was broken.  It would work but you had to sit and hold down the lever.  Part of the reason for picking the property was to eat meals at the condo but it was problematic.

    - Kitchen was haphazardly stocked.  There was no spatula and limited cooking instruments.  Some days we'd come back to the condo and find new utensils in the drawer.

    - Trash bin for kitchen was undersized.  It was the same size as the bathroom trash cans so the trash filled up very quickly.  A standard sized trash can would have been much better.

    - Pool was not clean when we used it.  It was windy and a lot of leaves and debris were settled in the bottom.

    - Pool is not monitored.  I wasn't expecting a life guard but there was a "quiet pool" which had signs for no toys or floats.  Guess which pool was full of loud kids with toys and floats?

    - Poor guest relations.  Aside from trying to sell you a timeshare there clearly was no effort to make sure guests had a good stay.  The parking issue, the pool rules, and maintenance issues etc are clear indications of that.

    - WiFi was terrible.  When I was able to connect I was getting about 1mbps up and down.  Many times I would lose connectivity or get much slower transfer rates.  I'm an IT consultant and was trying to get some work done while I was there and found the poor internet connectivity hindered that.  I would have gladly paid a couple dollars a day for reliable WiFi.

My extended family and I vacationed at the villages & loved it. 6 adults and a toddler. The rooms & grounds are fab. We had a two room suite with a sofa bed and a crib.  The kitchen was very modern & the furniture was well kept. We had a great time. Definitely recommended for a family style vacation.

This hotel is definitely for families...it has everything for everyone. I love this hotel because of the pools, specifically for the lap lanes they have. As a hard core swimmer, I swam every day in the long lap lanes. But, there is a lot going for this hotel as well!

    Check-in

Check in time for our family (reservation of three rooms) was at 4. But even then, one room was still not ready as they were extremely busy. The process was fairly easy. After we got our keys, we drove to our building. This Sheraton is divided into areas and our families stayed in what is called the St. Augustine Village. This compound is a newer development and also has a pool (9AM-10PM).

    Room Number 25-317

Our unit had two rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and washer/dryer. Staying here is so convenient and it is like living in an apartment with all the amenities provided for you (dishwasher, all the cutlery, pots and pans, fridge, etc...) I stayed with my parents and my aunt; One bedroom had a king sized bed while the other had two twin beds. This unit was fairly spacious and it suited our needs just fine. FYI. Be sure to check your rate/package as some include daily cleaning service, while others don't.

This hotel is so close to all the big box stores (Walmart, Target) as well as supermarkets (Publix) so what my family did was go and buy water, milk, snacks and juice and we brought the stuff to the hotel.

With your room, you also get a towel card that you need to use to get a towel for the pool. Remember not to lose these cards as the hotel will charge you $20 for every unreturned card (one per person).

    Noise Level.

I could definitely hear people walk on the floors above, doors banging, and toilet flushing (it was very loud!). But because I did so much every day, I was pretty much exhausted at night so sleeping wasn't an issue. But beware, for those who are sensitive to noise, the sudden flush of a toilet might make you annoyed...

    Extras.

Free Wi-Fi in the room and lobby!!

The pools here are big and fun. There are three main pool areas, each with their own opening and closing times. The main pool (right by the lobby) is the largest and also has two lap lanes. Because this pool opened at 7am, I made sure I was at the gate 6:50 to secure a lane. Really, I had no one to fight with so I made use of the pool every morning. Obviously, during the day and night, the pools became crowded with kids and people playing volleyball, so if you are a lane swimmer, come early.

There is a long trail circling around the hotel compound for our serious joggers. This hotel is situated amidst lush trees and vegetation so the run/walk is perfect.

There are mini stores located within the hotel compound where you can purchase little knick knack items as well as wine and beer. But, if you have access to a car, I would highly suggest to go to a nearby Walmart to buy your goods. For the hard core drinkers, you can get a Yellow Tail Cab Sauv at Walmart for $5.97 a bottle (lucky Americans and their insanely cheap booze!)

Units come with washer/dryer. You will have to purchase your own detergent, but our family made use of this washer/dryer 2-3 times...a day! It's free and that means you don't have to wash any of your clothes when you return home

There is free coffee and tea included in the unit (kettle provided in the kitchen). Also, our unit included a small dishwasher detergent (so we didn't have to buy).

For families who want to barbeque, there are stations located around the hotel. There are tables and about 3-4 grill machines. This is a great alternative to eating out at restaurants, or cooking indoors. Some stations are located near little parks so great for kids to run around and play after eating.

    Conclusion.

This is a great hotel at an unbeatable location; close to restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, and of course, Disney (about a 10 minute drive from Magic Kingdom). For a rate of $135/night, this hotel had so much value (and at two rooms per unit too!) For my family of 14, this was a great choice. It's unpretentious, relaxed and convenient. And for the swimmer, the large pools made me happy

    Hotel Rewards Program.

The Sheraton is under the Starwood portfolio so if you're planning on staying here longer, it's a great way to get some points.

Excellent location for visiting orlando theme parks! This is located just about half way between disney and universal, so if you're planning to hit both this is a great option! Having a full kitchen is great, especially for long stays! The grounds and pool areas are always well kept. My only complaint is the parking availability in some areas. We have stayed 4 times, and depending on what building you are in and the occupancy some times when returning late at night there is little to no parking available. But that's just luck of the draw I guess, some buildings have plenty available. We're frequent WDW vacationers, and this will always be our top choice!

We are staying here for a short trip to the parks. The place is really well kept. The two bedrooms are very clean and a good size. There are two main pool areas, one has a water slide and a kids play area. The boys loved playing in. The grounds are well kept. The room has a washer & dryer so we didn't have to pack much. We got some groceries and supplies at a local wal-mart. This place is in a good location to everything you would want to do. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Andrea at the front desk was awesome! She reached out to her manager and helped me with my cancellation issue. She is gracious and understanding, going above and beyond with my concerns. I'm sure if I'd stayed at this hotel, she'll make the best out of my stay!

Not a very friendly cancellation policy at this hotel! You're due for a non refundable one night charge when you book. Non refundable even if you choose to cancel it weeks before your arrival date! Everyone, please beware when you make the reservation!

We spent 6 nights here and liked the facility.

However, some info was not clearly told at check-in, like you get an online album and professionally taken pictures. However, only one picture is free and you have to pay for others ($79 for a cd off pics !!!). When I asked for laundry detergent they reminded us there was a charge for it ..... which is surprising as there was washer/dryer included in the room! Housekeeping service was very poor ... we got service only on 2 days even after letting them know when we were leaving from the room. Tea/coffee/detergent was not replenished, we had to call. We did not attend the Time Share presentation but there was a little more pressure at check-in, than I would have liked.

First of all I'm a Starwood owner for about six years now and I am reviewing the Orlando Sheraton Vistana villages resort for a trip I took in spring break in April.

This Starwood vacation network property is very clean and the grounds are pristine. We actually checked in through the concierge. And the concierge was very  accommodating and very friendly, and also tried to push for a Starwood member update. Obviously if you haven't been to an update before, they say it's about an hour, but it actually could last for two and half hours so I generally don't go. It's always a repetitive no, no, no to high-pressure sales tactics that are insulting like some I've been to at other starwood vacation network properties. No thanks.

We stayed in the St. Augustine Village. You should really stay in buildings 23 to 26 in that village if you have kids because they have an awesome pool with activities, huge pirates ship, a beautiful sports bar close to the pool, nice kids waterslide, etc. Also, st Augustine village has a market too.  It feels like a resort within a resort!

Groceries and pharmacy are literally down the street

A typical vacation day here would be wake up, go for a run or go to the gym, go have some coffee, and go back to the room, and cook some breakfast for the fam.  Yes.  cook. I'm on vacation but I save a lot of money cooking breakfast and or lunch sometimes, and I like cooking.  But we would always go out for dinner.  Orlando is also the Mecca for all franchised restaurants.  Any franchise restaurant that has ever existed is here in all it's glory, especially down international drive.  Back to my typical day...In the afternoon we would go to the pool, and play with the kids in the pool or just sit back, have a cocktail and watch the kids playing in the pool.  Remember, there's really a lot of things and activities to do there from the fun team activities to this wierd ping pong table.  At night sometimes, I think Friday and Saturday, adults can party in a club-like atmosphere there too complete with a dj and cocktails, if you have a sitter.  Haha, good luck with that one parents!  Westin kids club only goes only so far into the night!  Now, that pool relaxed atmosphere was reflective of half of my week.  The other half was spent on, you guessed it, amusement parks!  Orlando is the motherland of amusement parks, it's so sickening.

All the parks are within about a 20 min drive, so this hotel is quite central between disney and universal.

Universal is divided into 2 parks.  Going to both is an absolute must.  Get a 2-3 day pass, and spend the extra $ on the express pass.  It's so expensive but so worth it to bypass the long lines.  Of course, the Harry potter experience owns that place.  Get butter beer.  They should just rename it Harry potter land. The first ride you should go to first thing when they open is the Harry potter ride.  If you are late, you are gonna wait at least 2 hours.

Disney owns orlando.  Seriously!  Without it, there is no orlando.  We chose the animal park because it was a zoo/safari with killer disney shows and rides.  Get the fast pass please.  You won't regret that.

Down the street there is a chocolate museum.  Get the discount on yelp.  It was worth it, especially the samples at the end of the tour.

Gatorland is near and one go the most inexpensive, high quality amusement parks you can go to.  Don't expect disney quality or disney prices here.  It's a nice half day adventure to see gators and other animals, and zip line.

Now about that main hotel building and the main pool...it's great because they have a lot of activities, actually more activities than st Augustine, have a big gym, nice basketball court, and an arcade but the arcade is really small especially for the size of the hotel. If you go over to the Key West village the arcade is a little bigger and there is a bigger recreation room overall.  A note about the Key West villages. I wouldn't recommend it, it's too far from all the action in relation to the majority of all the activities.

You know I never understood why this Starwood property has a lot of nickel and diming regarding the arcade games, the billiards, and the foosball. When I vacation to a different starwood like Desert Willow or Mission Hills, it's all free. Even the arcade games that look like you have to put quarters in, you actually don't. Those are all free over there!  But not here in orlando.

Orlando is a vortex for families' monies.  Don't come here if you have a small budget.  Don't come here if you don't wanna go to an amusement park.  Do come here and expect to have a good time and spend a lotta cash.  8 grand at least, I think, is about how much I spent: For a family of 4 with 2 young kids, flying from California, going to amusement parks half the days we were here within a week.  Was it worth it?  Of course.  Would I go again? Not soon, no way.  Hotel is recommended, but Orlando..save a lotta money for the purge outta your wallet.

Would I stay again? Yes... Apartment was very spacious, kids had a great time in the pool. It was clean, comfortable, great to have a washer & dryer and full kitchen, especially traveling with kids.

Cons: light fixture outside was hanging, water pressure wasn't good, and a spiderweb on the baloney which drove me crazy. Oh and the room card never worked! And it was a LONG walk back to the lobby, very aggravating especially when you come from the pool wet with kids and can't open the door. The line in the lobby always long and they people aren't that friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a couple of days the weekend before July 4th.  Checked in at 6:00 PM and our room was not yet ready.  They said it would be another 1 1/2 hours.  Kim, our guest service person was very friendly and apologetic.  She did the best she could to diffuse the situation but 7:30 before we could check in was unacceptable.

We had a two bedroom suite and it was nice.  Spacious and new but the cleaning crew you could tell had done a quick clean.  I guess they had to do that in order to let us get into our room by 7:30.

Next day we ask for laudry detergent and someone brings us coffee.  Called down again and finally got some but at an additiona cost of $1 each.  This is the only place I've stayed that charges for that.  They did take the charge off since they delivered the wrong thing originally.

The property itself is nice and the pool area is very kid friendly which is important to us.  Location is also central to everything which is very convenient.

Overall, I prefer the HIlton Grand Vacation right down the road.  I've stayed there several times with my parent's time share points and that property is
much better.  Between the two, I'd stay at Hilton everytime.

If this property got their act together, I'd edit my rating to a 3 star.  Until they do so, 2 stars it it.

I stayed here with some friends for a weekend. The layout of our 2 bedroom spacious suite was more than perfect for us. The kitchen featured granite counter tops and a center island. The balcony was screened in with a ceiling fan. The balcony overlooked a pool with a pirate ship and a waterslide. Even though we were all adults, I can see that families would love to vacation here with their children. The poolside resturaunt was very reasonable. I also thought it was cute to see that one of the activities at the pool was learning to become a mermaid or a shark...lol! Yes, there is an actual mermaid academy. Now I have never seen that before. I like the idea, however; I am not interested in trying it out. All i can think about is possibily drowning because my legs were tied together in a giant fish tail. No thank you I will pass! My over all experience was wonderful I would definitely stay here again.

Checked in without any issues.  But several issues came along.
    1. I was never given a pool card to get towels at the pool.
    2. I was on the main floor and the room had a damp smell the whole time.
    3. I stayed for 3 nights. Their idea of cleaning a room is making the bed.  Not once were my floors vacuumed or swept
    4. Housekeeping never replenished basic stuff like coffee,  sugar,  creamer etc.
    5. Housekeeping loaded the dishwasher but never started it. So after spending the day out, I had no dishes to use upon return.
    6. Housekeeping never bothered to clean the coffee filter.
    7. The room above ours constantly had a kid that jumped on the floor starting at 6am for 2 of the 3 days we were there.
    8. The day of checkout housekeeping came in  the room every 10 minutes starting at 9:00 to see when we were leaving.  I checked out at 10 which was checkout time.

I will NEVER stay here again even for free!

We have been owners here for over 15 years. We have seen improvements in this facility, but we also endure the consistent pattern of badgering owners to attend "owners' breakfasts"which consist of partially thawed frozen bagels, bad coffee, and the promise of "information" regarding the resort. Management steals precious vacation time and starts off a vacation with a nasty resentful feeling.

Along with the aforementioned behavior, this time the street our unit is on has been tapped for resurfacing. The 8:00am start did not bother us in our room that faced the water, but it was enough to rudely awaken our guest in the back bedroom that faces the parking lot and street. Did I mention that this was supposed to be a peaceful VACATION time at a RESORT? This area should not have been occupied while this work was in progress. We were not informed of this work at check in; there was just a note posted by our elevator when we arrived at our assigned building, so this was well known to management.

Vistana Is a lovely resort with a rotten core. Thi became obvious as soon as we signed our paperwork over 15 years ago and has stayed this way consistently.

This was my first time in Florida, the hotel could be difficult to find if you're not careful when you look it up on Google maps, It might lead you to the other vistana village the sister brand.

The hotel is very beautiful, nice fountains everywhere, security gate, basketball court, three 24 hrs gym with decent equipments, and 3 awesome pool areas. I stayed 5 nights here, no complaints at all, all the employees were super friendly, they give a complimentary photo as well.  even have a Starbucks on site. I definitely give 5 stars on the experience.

The reason I only put up 4 is because the dryer in our suite was a bit too loud, the washer was new but not the dryer. And the check out time is at 10am, not a fan of that at all.

Full disclosure-purchased a sweet deal from Sheraton back in January when they offered me 5 days/4 nights plus $100 gift certificate to planet Hollywood restaurant for the fabulous price of $299.00. Didn't have to ask me twice! I also planned ahead and booked it for dec 26-30. Nice little get away between Christmas and the new year for my sweets and me. We flew in from dallas late and were checked in at building 25 which is a more intimate and personalized concierge.  They of course tried to get me to come sit for 90 min sat or sun and the offer for $220 cash while enticing still wasn't worth taking time away from my sweetheart!  Let's talk about the good- Andrew at the main lobby is a God send. He has grown up in the area and is a wealth of knowledge for tourists. He had a lot of great recommendations.  He was also a sweetheart and drove us back to bldg 25 for check in-Seeing how we didn't have a car and weren't sure of the walk. This trip was totally about R&R. The resort grounds are lovely. As was our room. We were on floor 6 of building 25 and had a room overlooking the pool. The room was a one bedroom King Villa with kitchen stocked with basic utensils and dishes. The resort also gives you paper towels, dish washing liquid and enough dishwasher packets for two loads. The room also has a washer and dryer. This is truly a mini home away from home. The publix grocery store was an easy .7 mile walk and we were able to purchase some items for snacks as well as liquor at the liquor store next to publix. There is a marketplace on the bottom level of building 25 that offered items as well. Our building also had a fitness center and pool. The pool is the kids pool so expect to hear some kid noise even at the highest level we were staying. For the not so good- it wasn't made clear to me that housekeeping was not included- be sure to ask up front! It can be added apparently for a fee. We were able to call guest services for additional towels, toilet paper etc.  The main pool is more adult friendly and had less kids and less noise. Both were heated and comfortable temperature.  The bad- we weren't able to get a late checkout bc they said they are full capacity. Check out is 10am. It amazes me how the check out time keeps getting earlier and earlier at these places. No worries as Andrew was able to store our baggage and we dined in resort at their grill. We ate there twice and both times was standard fare and decent value. Now for the ugly- our second day here we came up from the pool to find our water was barely lukewarm-even after running it for a long time. Both me and my sweetie had to take uncomfortably tepid showers. Not sure what the deal was however I did let the staff know and later that evening we had a message in room that engineering had fixed the issue. We didn't have any further water temperature problems the remainder of our stay.
Wifi was free and acceptable for what we needed it to be used.  Not exactly sure what this place retails for- I'm guessing it's got to be north of $200/night.

I've been here less than 24 hours and have already received three phone calls / voicemails from the resort trying to sell me timeshares, plus two ad inserts for timeshares with my room key. This is not my idea of a relaxing vacation.

The resort is very nice. But, I recommend unplugging your phone as soon as you get to your room if you'd like to enjoy and undisturbed vacation. That said, I did receive a voicemail that the water at the resort would be temporarily turned off for repairs. This wasn't a problem, but the signal to noise on relevant calls vs. sales calls is way out of line.

It's enough of an annoyance that I'd definitely consider other properties the next time I visit the Orlando area.

Update two weeks later: I received a robo-call from a robot trying to sell me a timeshare because I "didn't take advantage of my offer" when I stayed in Orlando. I can't seem to get away from this sales vacation.

I've raised my review from 1 to 2 stars because the resort itself was great and my kids had a great time.

Good: washer, dryer, full kitchen, balcony, and pirate ship

Found 1 cockroach. no house keeping unless you order it, too big, rooms are nice, the large swimming pool and jackuzi are kind not 100% clean, but the other, towels are only exchanged with keys, customer service is mediocre.

After I booked my package and keep to hotel, discovered that I didn't pay for house keeping! Who pays for house keeping in a hotel?!!

I don't recommend this hotel. For cheaper price, you will get better rooms and service any where around here.

We are owners if timeshare at the Cancun Westin Lagunamar which is a Westin property and part of the Starwood program.  We bought for the prestige and ability to book at other sheraton and Westin resorts.

Although we've never used our timeshare except some points for sheraton hotels, we plan to.
We actually bought this stay through our ownership special offers to come and stay at this resort for a few days and squeezed it in between business travel.

Very happy we did so far.  The resort is huge and gorgeous. I don't even know how many buildings much less how many condo units there are but it seems very private and we'll run.  We showed up at 11 and they checked us in early.  Alex at the front desk gave me options of buildings (pool or private, low floor or high) We opted for high floor by pool and he gave us the perfect unit.  We are in the larger premium one bedroom with full living room and kitchen with a great double entry bathroom.  My bedroom has an awesome jacuzzi tub and there are 3 separate sinks. Very spacious and clean with tole flooring and great furnishings.  The bed is comfortable and there is a starter pack for laundry, toilet oaoer, shampoos, and starbucks coffees and teas.  Big lanai that is covered and screened.  Tons of Palm trees on the property and hammocks and waterfalls.
I've found 2 pool areas so far as well as 2 gyms, one being very nice and updated with great machines.

Love the private gated guard shack entrance and tons of parking by each building.  I would definitely come back.  They maintain it well as I see nonstop maintenqnce, housekeeping and grounds keepers working.
    Love sheraton and westin!

Its great to have a washer and dryer in the room. Saves time on packing and more like able to bring bags on as carry on as opposed to checking stuff in.

Be sure to stop by Wal-Mart or publix before or shortly after getting in. It just a short 5-10 minute ride away.
Gas is also cheaper over in this section as opposed closer to the Disney resorts.

Keep in mind that it is a vacation ownership location and you may get called about trying to purchase something.  We own and will be taking the wife to Hawaii later in the year as a result.

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 4 days and 3 nights and it was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Orlando. Check in was at 4 PM and I request to check in at 1:00 PM and they had the room ready for us right as we checked in. Thank goodness!

One thing I noticed was how clean the room and bathtub was. I do wish I upgraded my one-bedroom to have a balcony and hot tub in my room though.

The pool was great and the jacuzzi was huge and fit many people! The one downfall was that we had requested daily house keeping and our room got cleaned only on our last day :(

Overall, we have a great experience here at would definitely come again.

Had a 2 bedroom villa in building 24 with a full kitchen plus washer and dryer.  The standup shower in the master bath was huge and the jacuzzi tub was really very nice.  The room was clean and stocked for the weeks worth of soap, shampoo, etc.  The screened balcony was great for relaxing in the morning or after the afternoon at the pool.  All 3 pools were nice, my son had a great time on the pirate ship and slide. The only pool with lifeguards was the pool with the pirate ship.
My only real complaint about the room itself was the lack of cable channels for kids. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room but it would be nice to have something decent for my son to watch while we made breakfast, took showers, etc.

We will definitely be going back.
