Lake Buena Vista Staybridge suites is a great place to stay while on vacation. All the rooms are 1 or 2bedroom suites which are huge and comfortable. Couple blocks away from Disney World and a ride over to Universal Studios. Free HOT breakfast in the morning. Cute patio and pool area at night. I would return there again very comfortable stay and the service was fabolous and the rooms were priced well.

99 bucks for a 2 bedroom with a kitchen, pool & internet access (lan not wifi) all within a mile or so of Disney.... can't beat it. I'm a fan of the staybridge brand anyways... the rooms are big and clean. The pool area is great and the breakfast was good too. The property is not your typical staybridge, it looks like they bought an existing property and upgraded it. The location and amenities for the price can't b beat!

We've visited 3 times, would stay there again. Rooms, pool, breakfast area are clean. Wi-Fi reliability is not good, which makes even the smallest task - checking local menus, park info, etc - Frustrating. Sending a quick note to the office also becomes a chore. Front desk staff always seemed surprised when we mentioned it.

I wish I could give 2.5 stars. This particular Staybridge was just slightly below A-OK for me. The price is a plus, as well as the free drinks in the lobby. However, I'm used to a slightly cleaner and more updated room when staying at a Staybridge. My room was pretty dingy. I checked the bed for *bedbugs* and while I didn't find any, the wall where the bed met the wall was caked with dirt. I also didn't like what I saw when I pulled back the sheet (more dirt) so I tried to put that out of mind. There was an indeterminable vomit smell right outside our front door. Overall, I'm used to Staybridge rooms being cleaner, but with a lower price should come lower expectations, I suppose.

Ideal location in Lake Buena Vista. Full kitchen, living and bedrooms and very friendly service. Would advise booking directly as we found out booking via Expedia did not allow us to accumulate Priority Club rewards and there was really no difference in price. All in all a great place to stay for Disney/ Orlando vacation.

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days while attending a conference in Orlando County Convention Center in Oct 07. This facility was typical of the other Staybridge properties I have stayed at. As a rule this was no different than the rest, which I generally find quite nice. I don't usually bother to mention or rate the various chain hotel/motel grade facilities I have patronized because unless something goes wrong, they are pretty much the same.
However, I make an exception in this case because of it's location. This Staybridge is less than 1/2 mile down the road from the Hotel Plaza Road the the Walt Disney World Resort. It is also a viable option (if you have a car) for Sea World, Universal and the OCCC.
I chose this facility because I was traveling on behalf of a non-profit which always has to watch expenses. At around $106/night, the AAA rate at this hotel was some $80/night less expensive than the conference hotel and included free parking and Internet, both of which would have been extra (about 35/night) at the other facility. Additionally, I got a two bedroom suite with living room and full kitchen! Granted, the second bed room was a bump due to my guest recognition program membership but was nice as it allowed my brother and his wife someplace to stay when they drove up to visit for the day.
Staybridge offers a complimentary hot breakfast each morning (eggs, sausage, bacon, etc) as well and a "light" late afternoon meal with choice of beer, wine or soft drink. The food consisted of Franks and Beans one day, Chinese another and Ravioli another. We missed the other days.
This facility has a large open courtyard with the pool, both open and shaded seating areas and BBQ grill. There is also a guest laundry facility off the courtyard. (We spent more than a couple of quite evenings relaxing in the courtyard reading and playing backgammon.)
Additionally right across the street from the back entrance to the hotel is a small strip mall with a Food Lion Supermarket, in case you want to make use of the kitchen. The kitchen was a feature we found quite useful during our stay. After a day of running around for the conference and an evening play tourist, it was nice to not have to go to a restaurant but be able to fix ourselves a lot hot meal at our leisure.
While it is by no means a "full service" business class hotel, for the money you can't beat the Lake Buena Vista Staybridge when visiting Orlando.

Our family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Master bedroom had a king bed which had a very comfortable mattress. Kids bedroom had 2 double beds and each of my babies had their own bed which is necessary especially after a day at theme park. It also had a living area and kitchen which we did not use much. Complimentary breakfast was more than sufficient with good carb and protein choices. Complimentary WIFI worked really well. Only downside is no elevators and i saw a couple climbing grunting in pain. Our room was on 2nd floor so we were ok.......I would def comeback for my vacation needs.

My wife and I and our two daughters stayed here in October 2011 during a four-day Walt Disney World vacation. We had never stayed at a Staybridge hotel before; it was recommended by our local AAA office.
We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. It was nearly the perfect choice for our family vacation. Here's why:
* A two-bedroom suite with a king-size bed in one room and two double/full-size beds in the other. Each bedroom had its own full bath. This setup took a lot of the typical 4-people-in-1-room pressure off our trip; we actually looked forward to coming back to the hotel at the end of each day.
* The suite includes a full kitchen, with an electric oven/range, full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, and even pots, pans, plates, and utensils. Although we didn't make full use of the kitchen, there's a Winn-Dixie supermarket next door, and we could have prepared a full meal if we wanted to.
* Every morning the hotel serves a complimentary hot breakfast, served cafeteria-style. The selection includes eggs; sausage or ham; oatmeal; fruit; yogurt; a selection of juices; muffins, bagels, and/or pastries; toast; and waffles.
* The facilities have a lot to offer, with a pool (the temperature was perfect!), jacuzzi, coin laundry, video game room, and outdoor patio seating. WiFi Internet is also free for guests (they gave us a passcode to use it, but we were able to get online without it).
* There is a complimentary tour-size bus that runs all day to and from the hotel and the four Disney theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom). Pickup times from the hotel start around 7:50 and run until almost noon; return times begin in the early afternoon and go until after the parks close. There are more pickup and return times for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (5 return times each) than for Epcot and Animal Kingdom (2 each), which is probably driven by which parks are more popular. The bus doesn't cost additional money, but the driver does accept tips. The bus meant we didn't need to rent a car, which saved us quite a bit of money in rental fees and Disney parking.
* All of the staff were very friendly. There is a concierge desk open during the day that can help you with trips to the various attractions in the area; they even sell you tickets. Housekeeping makes up the beds, changes the towels, and empties the trash each day; they change the bedsheets once every 7 days.
* The hotel is within easy walking distance of Walgreens pharmacy (we needed that when one of my daughters came down with a runny nose), and also several dining options, including a Macaroni Grill and a Chili's restaurant.
The downsides to staying here were few and not significant: The bus to the parks was full on a couple of days (it picks up at several other hotels as well), and people were required to stand in the center aisle. There is no hotel shuttle to Orlando International Airport, so your only option is a taxi (about $45 + tip each way) or rent a car.
Price-wise, we bought a package that included 5 nights' stay, with 3 adult and 1 child 4-day Disney "Magic Your Way" tickets that are good at any of the four parks. Our total came to $1,742, which was about $300 cheaper than buying the hotel and tickets separately. Obviously, your price will be different if you don't buy the Disney tickets, or have children of different ages than ours, etc.
In summary, this was a terrific place to stay. I highly recommend the Staybridge at Lake Buena Vista, and would definitely stay here again.

What a terrible, terrible taste in my mouth!! The hotel itself was great, everything Staybridge usually is. The Ops Manager and front desk guy lied through their teeth about not having a 2 bedroom available. Made my reservation through priority club and points. They said I would have to add $45 each night for the 2 bedroom is not usually available on points. That was fine with me. I called the hotel two nights before we checked in and they said they had the rooms available.
When we checked in, the front desk staff told me there were no more rooms of any kind available....sold out!
Spent 15 minutes arguing at the front desk and took the one bedroom. A couple of hours later we were standing in the pantry and heard the front desk rent a 2 bedroom to a walk in customer. I'm really disappointed because Staybridge is a great hotel with great amenities. I will not stay in a Staybridge again. I got the feeling that they train their front desk people how to lie with a smile on their face. I'm thinking they probably wanted to get the higher rate of renting a 2 bedroom out right rather than lose money by renting it on points to a, now former, loyal customer. Thanks a lot Staybridge Orlando!

This Staybridge has been recently renovated and boy, does it show! This hotel is modern, clean, and offers a great continental breakfast buffet free of charge. Just a short drive from Downtown Disney, the Staybridge is surrounded by restaurants and other shops for the convenience of tourists. When I first checked in, I was greeted by a friendly representative who told me everything I needed to know about the hotel; such as where the pool/gym were located, the hours of the computer lab (and library!) etc. We were thoroughly impressed with what this hotel had to offer.
I booked the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite and the room was perfect. The appliances in the kitchen area (full sized refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and stove) were all up to date. The interior was decorated nicely with bright color curtains and a cool patterned carpet. Most importantly, the room was super CLEAN. Not a stain on the sheets (and I turn out everything to make sure there aren't any little critters), no mold, no rust! The carpets had no stains. The room looked like it hadn't been touched ever. Like we were the first guests. Quite impressive! The only negative about the room was that the exhaust fans in the bathroom were kind of loud. But that's such a minor issue as the positives greatly outweighed this one flaw. I loved the little dining area/nook next to the kitchen as well.
Most impressive of all was the price. I had the AAA rate, which typically is not a significant discount, and my total for two nights (Saturday and Sunday) was $371. This might sound like a lot, but that's a little over $160 a night for a SUITE. Their standard rooms are surely less. Additionally, I had the same type of room (a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite) booked at the Hilton prior to finding availability at this place. The price at the Hilton was over $150 more and I'm sure my satisfaction with the Hilton would equal, but not surpass my satisfaction with Staybridge. The Staybridge is a great deal and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Orlando!
