the place is great. It also smells like new to me i don't know if the hotel was recently built or not. Anyway...i went there with my family this chrismas.
The rooms are decently priced i think. We got a 1050 square feet suite for about $495. I don't know what  you think but i feel it's a pretty good price.  their gym and pool are nice too...good value!

We liked it!  Stayed for two days.  Typical Westin property, which of course means very good.   We weren't around so we didn't interact with the hotel staff much, but we had no problems.

The pool is gorgeous, and they have wide sweeping views of (surprisingly flat) Orlando.

It's 4 miles from Universal, but there's no shuttle so we had to pay parking for our car at both the hotel and universal.  It'd be nice if there were bus service or something there.  I guess we could have called a cab.

Anyhoo, it's a nice hotel with reasonable rates when we were there.

Yep, valet only.  I don't know why people care so much about it. However since I had no car it didn't matter to me.

Huge lobby and bar/restaurant with outdoor seating if you should desire it.  Huge mosquitoes too if you are out there late at night.  However it was worth it.

The room I had was a king suite, so it had a bedroom and a sitting room.  It was fantastic.  It also had a small balcony (which I think all there rooms have).  Comfortable beds, a little hard for my taste, but comfortable anyways.

The bar had great bartenders  Very personable and helpful with recommendations in the area for other bites to eat.

My only complaint:  The beer menu is lousy.  It's all the big name stuff and only 1 local beer.

It's prices are higher than other places, but well worth it.  I would recommend staying here and cabbing it over to the parks since the hotel offers a great reprieve from the tourist chaos that can quickly make a vacation tiring.

I just checked out and wanted to make sure to express my extreme satisfaction with this stay.  I was down for a conference and thus stayed 4 days.  I had a suite, which was an unexpected surprise, but it was a quiet, spacious room with an amazing little private balcony that was perfect for late night wine and Netflix on my laptop. The nights were breezy an delightful.  The room itself was so quiet, you couldn't hear a thing between rooms and the service was top-notch.  They had a large staff, but it seemed everyone knew my name, in person, even when I hadn't met them before.  When they ask you how you're enjoying the stay, the seem to be genuinely interested and work to go above and beyond. Room service was delicious. I highly recommend the formaggio, it's baked goat cheese with sides of various roasted sweet peppers and crisp bread. I could have eaten it every night. I also love the Westin's "heavenly" branding, especially when the experience lives up to the promise of the brand.  I highly recommend staying here.

I always overlooked this hotel due to un-relying reviews and poor pics that  (priceline, expedia, travelocity, ect are filled with. Everything (Lobby, Rooms, Pool, Gym, Terraces, and Landscaping) was immaculate! Our standard room room came with a kitchenette (stocked with silverware, wine glasses, and dishes), microwave, and fridge! Rooms had **extra comfortable beds**, couch, dining table, and large balcony. The gym was spacious and had plenty of the newest  cardio machines and free weights. And get his, open 24 hrs and FREE to all guest!!! I chose the Westin, (and will continue to choose Westin) after recently staying at the amazing Westin Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood,FL. I have to say that Westin has definitely proved excellence in guest services with the very helpful and friendly staff.

This is where we stayed when we went to Orlando.

After a whole day of traveling caused by flight delays and long lines at the car rentals, I just wanted to go to bed and sleep. There was only one guy behind the front desk (it was around 2am) but checking in was a breeze.

I also noticed the scent of the lobby as soon as I got in. It was amazing. Like aromatherapy or something.

After unpacking my stuff, I went back down to the lobby to buy some water. (I never use the Minibar because being a hotelier myself, I know how minibars are exorbitantly marked up.) I asked the front desk agent how a bottle of water would cost me and he said I should just take it. I told him I want to pay because I need 5 bottles. Again, he told me to just take whatever I need! Nice!

After that, I asked him how much their rates are for internet access. He told me it would cost me $12/day. I thought it was pretty cheap. But then, he pulled out a file and gave me a user name and password for it. He then told me that as long as I use the password he gave me, my internet access will be for free. Awesome! :)

The room was pretty spacious, considering it was a standard double room. The beds weren't singles, they were queens!

All the staff were really friendly, especially the valets. Which reminds me, it sucks that there is no self parking. Everyone has to have their car valeted and it costs $16 each time. Minus one star because of that.

Come to think of it, The Westin was probably one of the highlights of my trip.

Good hotel. Small and quiet. Dont take the "green" option at check in. Your room doesnt get touched.  Trash overflowing, old room service trays and no coffee.

Fantastic hotel -- not sure how new it is, but it definitely lacked that used-and-abused aroma that most other hotels seem to have.  Of course, it helped that I was upgraded to a suite, and it was immaculate.  I was there for a convention, and didn't spend much time there during the day, but even though I know they were fully booked it never felt that way.  Great pool, small but nicely equipped gym, and the front desk staff were top-notch.  Bummed that the in-room wireless was $15 per 24 hours, but I just ended up using my tethered connection from my iPhone.

Overall very pleased, and would highly recommend.

Stayed there for the AAO conference. First thing, the front desk was very courteous. My room was suppose to "overlook" the city which was a bust. Very clean and close to the Peabody where all the meetings were held.  My clients stayed at the Marriott which the buildings surrounded a beautiful lake. Seemed like all the surrounding hotels were pretty nice.

This is the hidden treasure hotel of Orlando.  Clean, located close to everything, but not on the main drag or tourist areas.  Just like an SPG property: impeccable, clean, and well designed.  Nice staff and we felt like we had our own person condo with a bedroom, huge bathroom, kitchen and living room.

Having actually stayed here to save some money - boy was I surprised when I actually thought it might be a favorite hotel.  Nice doesn't have to be snobby or pretentious.  In today's economy - a good bargain goes a long way.

This was by far the nicest Westin I have ever stayed at. The rooms were impeccable and the service was top notch. We ordered several rooms, including the luxurious one bedroom styled suite. The freshness of the rooms, quality of the furniture and linens were top notch. The modern design was dully noted. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and accommodating. We didn`t make reservations and arrived for lunch and dinner at odd hours due to our schedule. Fresh sandwiches and main courses were available, albeit the service was slightly slow. Although we didn`t get a chance to swim, the pool area looks very pleasant and the deck furniture appears modern and comfortable.

I would highly recommend this hotel for both family vacations and business (please note this hotel is right across from the convention center).

Would love to give it more stars but..... you tried to nickle and dime us at every opportunity that you could (parking, not honoring reward points, etc). Your lobby and bar were completely lame, even on New Years the liveliness of this joint was only slightly better than pathetic. It was obvious that your designer was confused and created something of a cross between an oceanic theme and modern chic. The lobby was way to minimalist and wide open. Didn't exactly make me feel at home.  In a town full of hotel deals, I really could not 100% recommend you to my fellow yelpers (unless you have a convention across the street).

That being said, I really did like the room, bed and the balcony. The room was pretty luxurious.  The location of the hotel was a definite plus. I would stay here for a business trip, but on a personal vacation, I would look elsewhere.

This hotel is very immaculate. It is kind of plain and it seems like it is kind of older compared to other Westin's I have seen. But my room was sparkling and the bed is so comfortable. I think we may actually order some of the Westin "heavenly" pillows to have at home.
We went down to the bar for dinner the first night and had an appetizer and pizza which were good/average. The drinks we had were outstanding. The next day we weren't sure where in the area to go for a quick breakfast and after driving around for a while, ended up picking up food at the nearby publix. The hotel is kind of out on it's own with not a whole lot nearby.  On our last day we went to the restaurant for the breakfast buffet. I would strongly recommend you avoid this. It's about $20 per person and I've definitely had way better food at some free continental breakfasts offered at lower-budget hotels.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel but probably only if you are just using the hotel to sleep and then going to the parks, etc. I don't think there would be enough to do if you were to just hang out at the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel overnight because I was flying out of MCO early the next morning.  No frills.  But, it was great for the price.  Solid room with the heavenly bed and shower.  The best aspect was the restaurant inside the hotel.  The food was spectacular and all we did was take the elevator downstairs.  Looking it up now... so I can Yelp that too!

My husband and I ended up at this hotel because of the Priceline gods. We only stayed one night, but it was a nice comfortable stay. The only negative I have about this hotel is the same most people have. The mandatory valet parking is kind of weak, and there really isn't anywhere else you can park. Smart move on The Westin's part.  The staff was very efficient and everyone greeted us as we walked in. The hotel was very nice and modern. We had a king studio suite with a kitchenette (fridge and microwave), flat screen tv, balcony, and a really really comfy bed with down comforter. There is nowhere to walk to to eat by the hotel, but this didn't bother us since we were only there for one night. The hotel is about 5 minutes by car from everything though, so that's a perk! Every restaurant imaginable is nearby. The hotel does have room service and a restaurant, but it was cheaper to drive 5 minutes and eat somewhere else. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if there wasn't mandatory valet.  It's unfortunate that this valet situation will probably never cease. There are so many hotels in Orlando it's ridiculous and without this added expense.  Our stay was really nice though and If it doesn't bother you to pay to park, then I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room was nice; clean and with microwave, fridge, and sink it was very convenient.

Pool was ok, but not anything special.

They charge $13/day for parking which is outrageous considering the wide-open area is not in a city - BS!

I would have given 4 stars but i cannot bring myself to because of the wet dog smell coming from the tub drain, which had emanated into the entire room by the end of the week. I should have called & complained, but I was busy and didn't want to be bothered. But I think they are aware of the problem since I had read about the same experience from a reviewer  on tripadvisor. But apparently this is not an issue with every room. I was unfortunate and ended in rm 604. So if you get this room, don't be complacent like me! Insist on a different room!

This hotel is quiet and simple; not a lot of excitement in the decor, amenities, or atmosphere. But thats okay since Disney and Universal nearby provide plenty in that regard. The room is nice sized. I really enjoy having the kitchenette to use.

The housekeeping people are very nice.

I did not eat @ Fiorella's often, but the food is pretty good the times I did dine there.

I'm an SPG platinum customer. I have stayed here before. This time, we brought our SD Stars baseball team. I do like the property. It is far enough away from the tourist attractions yet close enough as well. For example, it is two miles fro. Universal studios, a mile from wet n wild, and 15 minutes from Disney.
I had a one bedroom suite. The price was very fair. I complained about the fact that my wireless connectivity was not consistently working. The engineers failed to address this all week. I could not priorly do basic internet functions.
The restaurant is very good. The food is fresh. He room service is 24 hours.
The rooms are clean and the pool is great. Our group was disappointed that the pool closed at 10. Heck we are on vacation
The bill was a mess.

This is a great spot for anyone in Orlando attending a convention. It too is not too far from Universal Studios... and about a 15 minute drive to WDW gate.

The hotel does not seem too old... it still had a nice fresh clean feeling. As a Platinum member I was upgraded to a nice one bedroom suite. It was a great room. There was one bad thing about the room I was in on the 7th floor... its next to the "trash" and I could hear staff in the room during the day. At night it was not a problem, but during the day you could hear people working in the trash room.

Fiorellas is the restaurant within the hotel and its fantastic as well.

The workout room is very nice and open 24/7. Love it.

I did not hit the pool but its very nice.

My only problem with the hotel was with the front desk. Some, not all, were not polished. I am sure its hard to keep staff in a hotel heavy city such as Orlando, but the staff here did seem to be on the weak side. Not always smiling... not knowing answers. Its small but when you are at a hotel for over a week it is something you note.

I would stay here again.. its a solid choice!

Checked in around 9 pm last night.  Upon check in was told there was a $13 charge for pakring that is nowhere on their website.  Ask about that and said that it was mandatory.  Was given an upgraded room to a 1 bedroom suite which was an amazing room, but since we were only there for 12 hours, didn't really get to enjoy it.

The worst part of this trip was when getting ready this morning, there was no water pressure in the shower.  This was so bad that the actual shower didn't work at all.  We were trying to get out of the room to enjoy the parks.  We called down the first time and they said there was a problem and maintenance was working on it but we could stay as long as we needed until it was fixed.  We called back down and asked what we were supposed to do and they said we could go use the showers in the fitness center.  I CAN'T believe that was our only option.  No offer to discount the room, no offer to credit back some of the room service.  The ONLY option was to go use a dirty shower in the gym and drag our belongings down 10 stories, across the lobby, and then outside by the pool into the fitness center.  Absolutely will never stay here again.  All we wanted was a clean shower before leaving for the day and couldn't get that.  I could've stayed at a Motel 6 and gotten better service.

Away from the usual crowd infested congested areas of I Drive and Orlando's tourist corridor, it's a super modern little getaway right in Orlando's convention area.  Loved the contemporary decor and furnishing and the serene pool area.  Pick the Westin Imagine if you want to relax and reclaim the clam for a busy business travel or during an action packed vacation.

Self parking was a little confusing but everything else was impeccable.  The Italian restaurant adjacent to the lobby has some great lunch specials and great food.

Stayed here last weekend after a concert and the ONLY thing holding me back from giving this my 5 star seal of approval is the fact that the rooms were very ordinary for being a relatively expensive hotel. $200 + normally. Now of course i didnt pay that much because of Priceline.com (which I love) but the rooms should have been as big as the ones down the road at the doubletree which are normally half that amount. NOW, the things i really liked about the hotel are that the grounds are kept impeccably. The rooms were very clean and the bed was VERY comfy. I got up the next morning and went to the pool area and I was really impressed with that and the gym that they had. The gym is behind a locked door and it offers free weights along with very modern machines and a nice flat screen on the wall. Had a filtered bottle of very cold water also. Went and swam in the pool and it was about the length of two Olympic pools that came together at an angle. Water temp was 83 degrees which felt incredible and the jacuzzi was @ 103 degrees which is just right.

I loved this place and would have liked to stay a few nights to have the chance to check out the restaurant in the lobby. It looked very swanky and offered a breakfast buffet that was a tad expensive @ $19 per adult.

First of all this place is extremely detailed to guest!  I am celebrating my partners birthday and the front desk sent up wine and dessert. How thoughtful!  My room as an superior corner suite and it was spacious. The bar and its managers James and Alex were detailed to all of my request. Wayne the valet doorman was excellent in enhancing with area recommendations and directions.  I stay at mostly Weston's only as a seasoned traveler but this property gets my five stars

I stayed two nights at this hotel. I had a great stay, and was even given a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite as a courtesy for being an SPG platinum member. Being a member does have its perks. I always stay at SPG hotels whenever I can because they treat you better, even as a basic member. Free bottled waters in every room, compared to other chains where it's $4 for a bottle of water. Little things make a big difference. Also I love the Westin chain because I love their heavenly brand. Ok back to this hotel. The hotel is fairly new, it's nice, quiet, and sits in a secluded area. It's close enough to I-drive where all the restaurants, shops are, and its only 2 miles to Universal Studios. Perfect location if you want to go to the park. Hotel itself is immaculate, and the staff are pretty helpful. My friend had a standard two queen bed bedroom, and it was huge, great lighting in the rooms and each and every room has its own balcony! A big plus there! Not many hotel has a huge apartment sized balcony! There is a parking garage at the hotel and it costs around $14 per night for self park, which in my opinion it isn't bad considering some hotels charge a $20 fee per night for parking. Overall I am impressed with this hotel. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay here. The Westin Imagine is Super clean with very accommodating staff.  Shout out to Casey from the front desk & speedy valet guy Nick.

The on site restaurant serves a mean breakfast buffet and a scrumptious lunch.  I had the best panini sandwich ever there...and it came with a delicious salad. What makes this hotel best is it's location from Pointe Orlando.  It's away from the hassle and bustle of I-Drive but has easy access to the Pointe.  Location is so prime, I almost didn't want to share it.  The gym is well equipped. We used it everyday we were there.

The only reason why it's not a 5 star review is because of the pool area.  There is only one pool and one hot tub in the property.  It was never crowded BUT there is only one.  The kids enjoyed the kids pool activities provided.  Loved that our room had a balcony overlooking the tropical pool area.  They also didn't have a SPA.  But it didn't really matter.  We had a pleasurable stay here.

We will definitely come back AGAIN!!!!

I always try to stay at Westin properties whenever i can. For my trip to Orlando for WDW, Epcot and universal, I'm glad i chose this hotel.

Overall, nice, clean room and lobby. Decor was great, as was the service. Consistent with what you'd expect from a Westin.

This is off the beaten path, so fairly quiet. One big drawback is that it isn't close to any restaurants. That said, if you don't have a rental car, bring your own snacks and drinks unless you want to get gouged with their in room dining costs. In room dining options are limited, but portion sizes are decent and food is tasty/good quality. Highly recommend the antipasto (sp?) plate!

My only complaints about this room:
- Room #922 was far from a wifi access point, so my signal was really weak and i lost it several times--only one bar. Fine if you're on a laptop and can use an ethernet cord. Not good if you have an ipad. The gave me a refund of my internet service since it wasn't working.
- Cell phone signal (sprint) was very weak in my room; calls kept dropping
- In room dining took about an hour on a thurs night and it took them almost 24 hours for them to clear my tray from the hallway floor. Thumbs down.

Look for offers at the top of this hotel's yelp profile...i got a really great deal for my stay in late Oct.

Also, they had a touch screen monitor on the desk of my room for ordering room service and other hotel related needs. Really cool!

If you're looking for a mellow hotel, this is a great option. No lively party atmosphere here, which frankly, after long days at theme parks, i don't want anyways! :)

Hotel was clean and in a central location within walking distance of convention center. 3 miles from Universal $22 can ride.  Hotel stay for one night $149.  Probably average for Orlando so central to everything.   Modern renovations.  Not fancy... General Westin resort.  Pool area was nice and clean but very dead. Gym was hot and smelly sweaty...yikes needs AC upgrade!

Been coming to Orlando for the same convention for over 15 years.  Had bounced around trying various hotels but when I became a spg member a year ago we stayed here.  Both years I have been upgraded to a suite.  Little farther from the old convention center but the rooms are worth it.  Wish it had a spa.

A little out of the way unless you are going to the convention center (it's right across the street)

Did Priceline name your own price and I guess it was worth it... probably should've been about $20 cheaper from what I paid...

So it's Labor Day weekend! All I wanted was to go south and enjoy the sun! Westin Orlando def let my hair down. Easy check in, a nice gentleman at the front desk probed us on our stay and upgraded our room for the extra comfort. I def feel at home here. Clean, comforting and modern. Their pool is out of this world. The drinks at the bar area could use fresher Ingredients in their drink however that will not stop me from going back. They have food pool side when your tired from swimming and a restaurant in the hotel for your convenience without stepping foot on universal blvd! I highly recommend Pio pio it you do plan on venturing out! Enjoy your stay because you may not want to leave! I sure didn't!

The rates here are very reasonable considering the size of the rooms, but the internet service in Room 730 is non-existent. Front desk said they'd have an engineer look into it, which was a polite way of telling me to pound sand.

Also, and this isn't a huge deal, but I reserved a corner room on-line and when I arrived they told me I got here too late and they already gave it away. So, a la Jerry Seinfeld, they're good at taking my reservation, they're just not good at holding it.

Parking is $20 a night unless you self-park, but the self-park is pretty far from the hotel.

On the bright side, the heavenly bed and shower really is heavenly, and the property retains that fresh, new feel to it, so if you're just looking for a decent place to rest your head, this hotel is alright.

If you're looking for anything else (like working internet, inexpensive parking, and a hotel that honors its reservations) then this isn't the place for you.

Exceptional service. Amazing UH-MAZING food at hotel bar and restaurant. Travel to Orlando often and it is not for a convention nor Mickey Mouse. As much as going to Orlando for yet another convention can be a drag, I look forward to my little retreat in this lovely Westin.  It is walking distance from the Convention Center yet feels so much quieter and relaxing than the rest of the CC hotels.  I love the kitchenettes and the fitness center is airy and has a nice view of the pretty pool.  The staff are great, except the one drawback is I've NEVER had decent service at the bar. Someone needs to train the bartenders to look up once in a while or at least acknowledge customers- more than once I've had to get up and find the bartender to get a drink.
Otherwise love this place!

This is a wonderful room. CLEAN and Comfortable! Shower and bed are exceptional. TV setup and channels are limited. Many channels have static, but I don't care enough to deal with it tonight. Seems like it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's a pretty convenient spot off the beaten path that's the area right near the convention center.  Pretty cheap and competent valet ($15).  The lobby are is pretty big and seems a little cold or sparse.  Maybe it's the lights?  It's very bright.

My room was comfortable.  I had a little balcony overlooking an empty lot and part of the garage.  I wasn't here for the view, so I didn't care.  Nice desk personnel too.

Pool area looked really nice, but I had no time to partake.  Maybe next time?

Stayed at the Westin for work; Great location near the convention center and not far from Disney and other local attractions. What a fun location to go for business, so many options for down time! The service from Westin employees was as good as can be, from the front desk to our waitress at brunch. Fiorella's was a great hotel bar/restaurant with good food & drinks, I just wish the bar stayed open later! Pool was nice, wish I had more time to enjoy it. Rooms were clean, modern, updated, spacious- one of the more delightful stays I've had while traveling for work. Having outdoor porch space is always a nice plus, especially when traveling to nicer weather than where you're from. The beds are soooo comfortable. All in all a great experience! This will be my first choice of stay when I'm back in Orlando on business. Thanks Westin!

We are gold preferred members who made the mistake of using our honestly accrued points to pay for our hotel room for five days. The most egregious part of the staff at this hotel is HOUSEKEEPING They are horrific. They only came 2 of 5 days, and could not be bothered to vacuum during our entire stay. They would occasionally make a bed, but not both, ever. I had to call down for toilet paper and 4x for towels bc they could not be bothered to restock. My daughters have feather allergies, which I told them about repeatedly, they could not find foam pillows to accommodate. They were extraordinarily rude to top it off.

It is unfortunate to see staff fall over themselves when you pay cash, and barely acknowledge your stay when using their points program.

Valet staff was fantastic though.

This is my second stay at the Westin in Orlando and both visits have been great! The staff is very friendly and check in is always smooth and quick. Rooms are big and include a small kitchenette. The shower is simply awesome and the beds are so comfortable. The hotel is located across the street from the convention center and away from the craze on international drive. This is our new go to hotel when visiting Orlando.

I'm a frequent visitor to this property whenever in the Orlando area and not going to Disney. My brother works for SPG so I always take advantage of the StarHOT rate at any SPG property.

The standard rooms are big--usually book a King bed. My favorite features about the Westin brand are the Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Shower. I absolutely love them. I can spend hours just chilling in the shower; it's so calming and relaxing.

Being SPG Gold, we may get upgraded at the manger's discretion since the family rate does not qualify. We were here last about a month and half ago and were upgrade to a fabulous suite. The room had a kitchen, living room with a sofa bed, table and chairs, dining table, and a balcony overseeing the area. The weather was cold so it was really nice to be able to sit outside and relax with some champagne!

The room also features large flat screen TVs with some channels in HD--always a plus as I may watch some telly before going to sleep.

The on-site restaurant - Fiorella's Cucina Toscana - is excellent. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  We only ate breakfast and the food is delicious. The options includes a la carte or buffet. We usually choose buffet as there is a wide variety of hot and cold food to choose from, plus fruits and diary products. Oh, and don't forget the (egg whites) omelet cooked to order. Nom nom nom!

Overall, the Westin Imagine is a great property that provides extra comfortable room and high quality food.

Note: Self-parking is $15 per day.

The Westin offers a refined stay for the discerning traveler. For the business traveler, it's located right across the street from the Orlando convention center. And for the vacationers looking for a comfy retreat upon returning from a 4-day Bahamian cruise (like my wife and I), the room and its accommodations couldn't be any more welcoming - I was able to sleep away most of the day on the couch in the living area of our suite. Room service was prompt and the burger and calamari we ordered were delicious. I'd stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was nice and clean. I guess my only complaint would be the service by the pool. It wasn't very busy so I'm sure that was why the service was poor. It took like 15 min or more to get the girl to come wait on us and then once we ordered she said they were out of plates and I had to go to the restaurant inside to get some. Other than that we good time.

The front desk was amazing! They helped us find fun places to go in the area and helped us get cabs for our large group.

Skylar at the front desk is AWESOME! My hubby and I checked in and thought we would ask if there's anything for honeymooners (never hurts to ask, right?). Not only did she hook up an upgrade for our room, we were pleasantly surprised with champagne and strawberries!! We are going to milk this newlywed thing as long as we can! LOL!

Overall, the stay was nice. If you want a quiet vacation, this is far enough from tourist areas to be away from loud children or frustrated parents. Looks like mostly business travelers here since it's close to he convention center.

Docked one star since the smoke detectors are really close to the bathroom. If you like steamy hot showers, make sure you (1) turn on the fan, (2) close the door, (3) turn on the a/c for ventilation or else the fire alarm will go off like a mofo and wake the whole place up!

Came here and the check in was smooth and painless. We are SPG gold members and we got upgraded and was asked all the right questions in terms of points, etc. It was great, because we usually need to ASK for our free drink and points, so it was refreshing to see staff members that know what to do!

The room was nice, except we found a few bugs. but hey, it's florida! The room was clean and was priced well for our stay. I would definitely return again- not too far from Disney or Universal!

Thanks for the peaceful no hassle stay, Westin!

This hotel was a great place to stay. It was very clean and had great amenities. The pool area is nice. It is also very convenient to Pointe Orlando which is great for shopping and nightlife. Ask for a view if you want it, because our was horrible...the roof was all we had in 224.

I don't like it when I have to check out. his is the second time I have stayed here. It is a very nice place. It is a 4 star rated, not more not less. It has great rooms, We got upgraded to a suite and it was what we needed. We came up to Orlando to relax and stay near the pool for a few days and we accomplished that here. The bar is nice, a bit overpriced for drinks and Orlando, but it was nice and friendly.

The Wifi is not free, it is $14.95 per day, which I did not use since I can share off my iphone and save the fee. I mean 4 days would of cost almost 60 bucks. If I ran over which I did not, it would of cost me $20 through Verizon wireless. Just a thought...

The parking is not free either, it is $17 self park $23 valet.

I will be back...

We spent two nights at the Westin (a Saturday and Sunday) in April and very much enjoyed our stay.  Loved the "welcome to the weekend" light in the lobby...having flown in that day we were sooooo ready for the weekend to start!

Unfortunately, we arrived before noon, and our room was not yet ready.  I confess that although I know one should not expect a room to be ready before the check-in time, we have not run into that in a long time (if ever).  However, no big deal.  We were hungry, so off we went to Cafe TuTu Tango with a promise of being called when our room was ready.  And called we we were, within an hour.

Our room was very nice, with a great view overlooking the convention center.  Very clean, very comfy.  Quiet.

At the risk of sounding like a lush, may I say, we LOVED the bar!  Both nights it was so nice to get a drink and a bottle of cold sparkling water to take up to our room.  We had a different server each night and both made us feel like very welcome guests. I might add the restaurant smelled wonderful...menu looked great...wish we had had time to dine there.

Other pluses:  Husband really liked the fitness center.  Said it was super nice.
Self-parking...not cheap, but not unusually so for Orlando.
Location!  Loved that you're in the heart of everything, yet tucked away on a road that is nowhere near as congested as International Drive (which you can choose to deal with or not).

We were very happy with having "won" this hotel via Priceline, and would not hesitate to go back.

#BEWARE OF THIS #WESTIN !!!!    #THIEVES ON THE STAFF!!!!!!    Short and sweet.....I stayed here a week ago for 2 nights....The hotel is nice along with the rooms...However on the day of checkout I was in a rush and when packing I left my Gucci belt on the bed.   I overlooked it bc I lifted the comforter up and it covered it.  So I rushed to the airport and when I got home and unpacked I realized so I hurried and called the hotel.   The front desk said it wasn't their problem and transferred me to security(Jim I think)....Ileave a message for him and he never gets back to me, so I call again later that day....Jim says of course nobody seen it but he'll look into it and get back to me in 48 hrs....4 days later after getting no response, I call up again and leave a message for the property manager...They finally leave me a message stating that they couldn't find it and I should go through my insurance....yeah right.

HERE'S THE DEAL AND THIS IS WHY I'M SO PISSED....#1 THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AT THIS HOTEL!   I KEPT GETTING THE RUN AROUND AND IF THEY JUMPED ON IT WHEN I ORIGINALLY CALLED THE HOUSEKEEPER WAS PROBABLY STILL THERE....   #2  YOU HAVE THIEVES ON YOUR HOUSE KEEPING STAFF!!!   It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out whoever cleaned my room stumbled across my 375$ Gucci belt and thought it would make a good gift for someone they knew or just unload it on eBay...I admit it was my own stupidity for leaving it there, however I was staying at a WESTIN for Christ sakes!!!!!   Not a motel 6!!!!   Either way, I encourage all of my fellow Yelpers, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL OR KEEP A GOOD EYE ON YOUR BELONGINGS IF YOU STAY!!!!    #thieves, #thievery, #westin, #orlando, #hotels, #starwood, #spg

I always go to Westin hotels as they are usually great.  The people here were extremely nice and welcoming, however I found the room dirty. My sheets had brown stuff on it and the walls had dirt all over. Our last night the room next to us was so loud and we could hear everything be said because of the paper thin walls. I'm not sure I would go back here.

Do not click the link on this page for complimentary breakfast.  It is false advertisement.  It redirects you to westin site and rate for breakfast is $150+ which is about $40 more than lowest rate.  Hence,  its NOT comp breakfast.  I booked and found out there's no comp breakfast,  manager would not honor the false ad so I canceled.  Plenty of other hotels in Orlando to choose from.

The beds are wonderful though! I am definitely a fan of the Westin overall and that is why I chose to stay at this particular hotel. I was attending a conference at the Hyatt Regency (formally the Peabody) which was totally full.  I chose this Westin as I am always very happy to stay at a Westin.  Likes -- I love the calm quiet colors of the rooms, Starbucks coffee, refrigerator and microwave in room a definite plus.  The heavenly beds are always that - very comfortable.  My mother joined me on this trip and we had two queen beds -- the room had plenty of room for both of us - my mom enjoyed the balcony.  The weight room had an adequate number of treadmills and ellipticals, free weights and one high-low cable machines.  I would have preferred more weight lifting equipment, but there was enough there for me to get my workout in.  The location was right across the street from the convention center.  I had just under a mile walk to the Hyatt which was perfect in the March temperatures.  One thing I did not like was having to walk across Universal Blvd as I felt as though I was playing Frogger.  We did eat three (yes, three) meals at the Westin restaurant as it was the only restaurant near the hotel.  We really did enjoy the restaurant and said we would look forward to eating there again.

The restaurant in the Westin is Fiorella's!

What a beautiful hotel, not the most scenic view, but the rooms are great.  The pool area is open with a hot tub nestled in the back.  It's easy to get to, the convention center is across the street.

Our room was a corner suite, it was tucked away, and not exactly on the corner.  The room itself was awesome.  The bathroom was a tub with a shower, and a walk on shower.  Kitchen had a small fridge, sink and microwave.  Off the living room was a balcony that overlooked the pool area.  Wasn't impressed with the balcony as I could see right into other peoples rooms.  The bedroom was complete with the Heavenly bed, it's a bed you just melt in.
Black out curtains keep it dark all day.  Nice place to just lounge around.

It's a great hotel for a weekend getaway or when visiting the convention center.

We stayed at the Westin after driving 15 hours straight through the night before. It was right down the street from Universal where we were going later that night.  Our view wasnt great but we were only sleeping there, and they let us check in 3 hours early which was wonderful.  RJ paid $24 for the valet parking which is pricey,  but at least it was good for the entire 24 hours we were there. The staff was very friendly and professional, the bed was comfortable and everything was spotless.  The kitchen was nice because we had leftover pad thai to refrigerate, and we were able to heat it up later in the microwave. Too bad we didnt have enough time to make it to the pool because the weather was perfect.  I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed 3 nights, and I was very happy!  The hotel was clean and beautiful.  The staff was so friendly and helpful.  At checkin I told the staff I needed a microwave to warm up my baby's milk and they upgraded me for free.  I found that so helpful and I was very grateful.  Be aware of the hotel fees, parking fees, and even wifi fees...but it was worth it.  The rooms were beautiful and the view from almost any room is spectacular.  We could see the disney fireworks from our balcony.  I give it 5 out of 5.

Nice, slightly dated, hotel.   I recommend getting a room with a balcony--it makes all the difference.   Service is great.

The food, however, is universally terrible and expensive.     The pasta at the Italian restaurant tasted like a Jenny Craig meal.   Room service food was meh.   Both were around $100 checks.

So, stay there.  Don't eat there.

I travel a bunch and ended up staying here because of the new deal they have on TravelZoo.  It is anywhere from $72 to $99 a night.  Not a bad deal until you find about the hidden charges that higher end hotels charge.

The two biggies where $24 for Valet and then even more for the internet (which thankfully was included in the TravelZoo price) Anyone booking should take this as a note.  I will say though, that anyone that has issues with pricing like this probably does not stay at higher-end hotels.  Kimpton, Four Seasons, Ritz and W Hotels all charge around the same price structure.

So with that in mind, let's talk about the hotel:

Staff:  Curtious, attentive and on the ball.  From the restaurant to bell to the front desk.

Restaurant:  A little expensive for the quality of food.  It seems like the chef cared at one time, but stopped more than a while ago.  Check the chef's garden just outside the door to the pool.  I would image the same attention is given to the food as is to the garden.

Facilities:  Clean and spacious.  Really enjoyed the suite room.

Pool:  Excellent kidney-is designed with a deep part in the middle and shallower on both ends.  There was a bar outside with alcohol and limited snacks.

Gym:  Excellent like most Westin hotels.  Treadmills, open weight sets, very nice.

Location: 10 minutes max from Universal, 1 minute from Convention and I-Drive, 15 minutes from Disney.

Overall a great hotel that is more geared toward business travelers than it is for kids.  Still recommend this hotel to all.

Hotel was awesome! Stayed here to go to Legoland (which was about a 20min drive away) but we'll worth it. We were near everything but distant enough from the chaos. IMAX theatre is near which we tried. Pretty cool.
This hotel was clean and customer service was great! We even did an early check in. Our doorman was awesome. The only thing is parking is ridiculous. We valet but just paying for parking at any hotel is the dumbest thing hotel chains can ever do.

Holy Crap - what a pain in the ass hotel.

The walls in my room are dirty, they have bumps and bruises and mystery stains. The counter under the TV, where the ice bucket and the coffee maker both reside, was dirty and had rings on it when I checked in. Over the last four days it has not been cleaned once, rings and other stains persist. My "Heavenly Bed" is comfortable, although short-sheeted. The wet, used washcloth from Friday is still in my shower on Sunday night. Some days you get two coffee packs, some days you get one.

Most of the staff at the bar are nice, except the one short-haired brunette who won't make a mojito and seems to piss off the rest of the team.

The internet - oh boy What a fucking nightmare. Perhaps I made the mistake of assuming a hotel near a world-class convention center would be accommodating of business travelers. Nope. No desk, just a small round table with ONE outlet available next to it. Other outlets in the room are behind the bed, the nightstand and are switched. But best of all is the $14.95 per day fee. Not even in Washington D.C. have I paid this much for internet, much less for a mediocre connection that was completely offline one afternoon until the *outside vendor* sent over a "tech" to reboot the system (lame lame lame). The log-on process is tedious, error-laden and doesn't recognize the password two of three attempts. Multiple devices?  Might was well ask Snowden to get you the code, its a nightmare.

Perhaps the people who want a nice getaway from business and be free of things like a clean room and reasonable internet access will enjoy this place. For me, never again.

I am only writing about the restaurant, not the rest of the hotel.

My husband and I decided to splurge on the breakfast buffet as a treat while attending a trade show at the Convention Center. It was decidedly NOT a treat. The items on the hot buffet were pretty much inedible.  Salmon Benedict was on a stale English muffin, with an oldish piece of salmon,  an overcooked rubbery poached egg and no discernible Hollandaise. Bacon was limp and greasy. The muffin I tried to eat was hard and dried out, a bagel my husband tried was old and dry, and "not a real bagel".  My omelet, which was made to order, was ok; my husband said his was not - maybe that was because his had some of the disgusting bacon in it while mine only had vegetables.

The coffee was good, and the service was excellent, but the quality of the food was lower than in the cheapest diner. All for $21 per person, not including the coffee and tip!

I stayed here on my weekend trip to universal studios and islands of adventure.

We arrived at the hotel and were confused, we had no idea what to do. There are no signs or anyone outside (besides valet) to tell you what your next move should be.

We got out of the car and slowly walked inside still in our confused state of mind. We were than greeted by two front desk personnel which made our check in very speedy. They proceeded to ask us "valet or self park? Valet is $24 and self park is $16" I wish I could've seen the look on my face. Ridiculous, but I digress.

The two front desk personnel told us we had a free upgrade to a one bedroom suite, cool! So we parked our own car and walked...and walked...and walked to our room. It was lovely, very spacious. I examined the room.

The curtains had a few stains on them, the table had a few water stains and glass stains on them. And when I opened the directory it had human snot in it...ugh yeah gross.

The following morning we called to see if the hotel provided shuttle to universal studios which is literally down the street. "No this is a corporate hotel" ugh...well alrighty then. Took our car and left.

All in all it is a very nice hotel, we didn't spend much time in the room. Maybe this hotel is what you're looking for, business trips and such. But for me, I won't be going back.

i stayed here 3/28-3/30. I was really impressed by the service. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. There was free wifi (don't remember if it was for everyone or just spg members) and complimentary water for spg members.  I was able to book a real awesome rate too through a promotion they were running on the website.

I stayed here because they offered a shuttle service to universal studios and the rate was very good. They did not disappoint.

I had to change hotels and go to the hilton after this (for business reason) and... the hilton did not compare at all. I wish the westin offered shuttle services to walt disney world. I would stay here again if i was going to be nearby. If i could get transportation to other attractions, i would stay at the westin longer.

My family has just returned from a wonderful two night stay at your hotel. The hotel is nice, and kept clean with an overall modern feel. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and all do their best to accommodate your needs and requests. The rooms were nicely furnished with a good-size bathroom, and kitchen area. The hotel is situated right across from the Convention Center, and right in the middle of Orlando. There is a fee for parking- btw.
We dined in the on-site restaurant for breakfast and dinner both days. The restaurant had a good selection and was moderately priced. They did a great job accommodating our gluten-free needs, and our allergy concerns.   The staff- especially at dinner were extremely attentive- the waiter (I believe his name was Kumar) and the dining manager Adam were exceptional.
We look forward to staying here on our next visit to Orlando.

I booked this hotel on Hotels.com for almost half the price listed on the hotel's website. I registered for the Starwood Points program on the way to the hotel, and was upgraded to a king suite at check in.
Clean, modern and a great rainfall shower. The bed was amazingly comfy.

The housekeeper did try to enter despite it being 9:45am (checkout is noon) and my having a do not disturb sign up, but was apologetic.

The pros:
Easy upgrade
microwave, fridge and kitchen in the suite

The cons:
Expensive daily wi-fi fee
Expensive parking, even for self-parking
Anything you can think of=fees
