Omg. I can't believe what a dive this was!! There were blood stains on the pillows. ON THE PILLOWS! The cases were stained with brown spots... I don't even want to speculate which bodily fluid that was. Pretty sure the mattresses had bed bugs. The shower was covered in mold and mildew. I'm surprised I made it out of there without rabies, staph, or tetanus. I've stayed in less expensive hotels that were much nicer. Disgusting. Oh, but they did have a free continental breakfast. Butter and cream cheese NOT on ice sitting out all night. Mind you, this is in FLORIDA, where it averages 95 degrees in the summer. Excellent idea, folks.

This is now called the Magnuson Inn. The Magnuson Hotel is a block away.
Pros: Friendly staff.
The rest: The doors to the motel building (away from the office) didn't fit. Literally, they couldn't close. The corridors smelled bad, my room did not. I didn't try the breakfast. The WiFi was called Howard Johnson, so I was concerned to connect to it as the staff couldn't explain that to me. Some of the guests seemed to actually live there, and would hang out by the doors smoking, drinking cold beverages. These men were actually pleasant enough, but added to the overall low end feel of the place.
Really, this is a low quality, inexpensive place in a bad part of town. See my review for Econo Lodge for a better alternative.

Internet never works, room pretty big with seating area. Microwave and fridge are nice, shower curtain moldy and needs replaced. Lots of channels on tv, front desk staff nice but had baby behind counter? Rooms are not in same building as check in, so its a long walk to the little continental breakfast. Cereal, toast, and bagels make up the breakfast. Book this room on Travelocity using the top secret hotels tab and get the best bargain. Five stars for the price!
