After a long drive, we stopped and stayed here during our visit to Pensacola for a couple days.  The hotel isn't 5 stars, but it's not the best either.  It was clean and the room was too.  Too bad the prior review was a bad experience because we didn't have a problem at all.  The hot water worked and the wi-fi connected properly.  Of course, the older hotels are going to have the old TVs until they need to be replaced. It was a comfortable stay.  The only gripe was that it poured when we were there Saturday and we were stuck at the hotel for most of the day until we had a surprise party to go to.  There's really not much to do there except for the beach and the weather did not help it.  At least we were able to eat our leftovers for lunch with the microwave and fridge they provided in the room.

Dated but very clean. Few options in Pensacola area if you have a pet. This was one of them. Very reasonable and accommodating staff. Near Cracker Barrel.

Not too many years ago Red Roof Inns were a great "go to" kind of hotel for road warriors. Not any more, this location is rated better than other RRI hotels in the area, but my stay was not so good. Bed was ok, tv was small and old, took a LONG time for water to get hot for shower, wi-fi did not work properly.
When I asked the desk clerk if he could recommend a restaurant in the area that was not part of a national chain, he replied "Yes!, There is a Ruby Tuesday right across the street.

I stayed at this hotel for a week! Rooms were clean, bed was comfy ; even came with a mini fridge and microwave! It's in a good part of town; had a few restaurants near by! Had walk in showers! Loved the stay& great price for it all!

Non-smoking room smelled of stale cigarettes. Wi-Fi was intermittent. Carpets where stained. Cheap room rates but you get what you pay for with this one.

All rooms are pet friendly, and ours smelled like it. Horribly uncomfortable bed, small tv. Unfortunately, we arrived the night before the air show and everything else was booked solid.

Stayed here for one night while driving through from Texas to Sarasota. Got in at 2:30am and had no problems checking in. Room was outdated and dirty. I'm not squeamish so it was whatever, but I definitely noticed the dust on everything, rusted bathroom hardware, dirty walls and doors, and cracked caulking in the bathroom.  It was pretty gross. Walls are thin so you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. Also, the bathroom is not exactly a bathroom--the toilet and walk-in shower are in a tiny room with a pocket door that doesn't close all the way, and then the sink is outside in the actual room. Not super comfortable unless you're with people who don't mind seeing you naked?

The free breakfast in the morning is a carb-fest: toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, and danishes. The muffins and danishes were the prepackaged kind that are kinda greasy-looking and taste like plastic. They also had orange juice, milk, and coffee. Thank the good Lord there is a Starbucks up the road!

      Let's talk the pros first:

-This red roof is an indoor building hotel; no having to walk outside for vending machines and also no cold weather to face during the cold months.

-staff was friendly and courteous; easy check in process no drama or hassle. Especially when we brought our papillon with us.

-our room was spacious and perfect for our one night stay. Nothing that had us raving about it, but just right.

      -PETS STAY FREE!!!!

      Now to the cons:

-the beds were extremely firm and hard; I woke up several hours of the night and couldn't find any part of the bed itself comfortable. Same experience from my wife who couldn't fall asleep either.

-the red roof itself is outdated and needs some kind of revamp.

-our NON-SMOKING room did have a strong odor of fading cigarettes especially when the air conditioning unit was running.
