5/11/15 . Stayed here for two nights and would have left the hotel after the first night except the city was packed and we only had one more day and didn't want to spend it hunting out a new place and moving our things. The "concierge" when we checked in was horribly rude. The room was dirty, the bathtub had signs of lazy ineffective cleaning, bugs in the room and last but not least there is a bar behind half of the 2nd floor rooms and they played music that made the back wall of the room vibrate until 2 am. It was ridiculous!!! They refunded us half of our fee for that night $200/night for the one night with the music. The manager told us they were taking that bar to court (but they still rent out the rooms effected by them!!) TERRIBLE TERRIBLE place. Staying at a bed and breakfast next time.

Decided to take a break from the mainstream craze of Orlando and take an unplanned excursion to a city 'unknown.' St. Augustine was recommended by several locals- and we were off!
We found several hotel accommodations. There are more bed and breakfasts in the historical district of St. Augustine than anywhere in the world (this fact is not cited;). However, we were operating on a budget so Best Western - Bay Front, here we come!
We snagged our room up for about $150 with a AAA discount. Our second floor room had a view of the port. There's also a little terrace above the Front Office with a killer view. There's tons of restaurants, bars and historical landmarks within steps of this motel.
The good: king bed, a little flat screen, cheap room, availability, location, and terrible quality but free- wifi.
The bad: we had no hot water for our 9:30 am shower, there was loud music until who knows what time, the coffee maker had mysterious debris inside, and parking was as spacious as a sardine's tin can.
Loved St. Augustine. I cannot wait to come back! I would stay here again just based off the location BUT I think I'll be saving my dollars and try one of the bed & breakfasts next time. :)
