On short notice we decided to take a trip to St. Aug. Many of the hotels/Inns/B&Bs were either booked or too expensive. This place had a few rooms available so we booked. It is not right in the heart of historic district, but is not far at all, and if you are using the Old Town Trolley's they will actually shuttle you, which we didn't find out until the end of our day in St. Aug.

On to the rooms, they weren't anything special that is for sure. It was outdated, and ugly, yet clean. We weren't spending day and night in our room, we were hitting the town....so who cares.

We ended up with a room overlooking a waterway, which looked so nice...however right infront of the waterway was traintracks. The train did run at night a few times. It did not bug me in the least, however to a sensitive sleeper like my husband, it kept him awake.

The staff here was very pleasant and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed thier jobs. This was the first hotel I had been to where an employee was busing and serving tables at the continental breakfast, and doing it cheerfully to boot!

The price, service, and cleanliness made this alright in my book. But as I said sensitive sleepers should probablly look elsewhere.

I would not recommend this hotel. The train tracks are right behind the building, the train runs all night. It shakes the building and is very loud. I also found pubic hairs stuck to the shower walls and tub. Trust me you can find better.

This place is a disgrace!!! Desk clerk was RUDE and INCONSIDERATE!!! AND FOR TK ( gm and owner) for allowing his employee to screw over people is a disgrace. I was traveling home to Ohio with my 70 yr old mother after a stressful visit with my uncle ( pancreatic cancer)whom just had hospice come into his home in Florida to make his final days as comfortable as possible. On our way home I decided to easy my mother with a enjoyable peaceful and relaxing time in beautiful St. Augustine, which upon arrival it was late at night. I did a search of hotels in area and being on a fixed income searched for the best price. Drove to locations to check out neighborhoods and look of hotel, we came across this place so while I was in parking lot I found cheapest price on priceline. So I booked the room for the night SO I THOUGHT!! I went inside for check in so we can get some sleep after traveling many hours. And desk clerk Mike told me I had reservations on wrong day. This Comfort inn wouldn't refund me my money of $131.00 or transfer my payment to another location. Desk clerk even came out in parking lot to argue with me about priceline always screwing them over and they should have to pay and lose out money. I told him IM THE ONE GET SCREWED OVER, I PAID FOR IT ( my money not priceline money ) AND HAVE NO WHERE TO SLEEP FOR THE NIGHT NOT PRICELINE..I guess I was supposed to sleep in my car for THIS NIGHT! I am currently taken this situation up with manager with Choice hotels corporation. I'm sure they double booked on my night of reservation. And got paid double the amount..greedy people here makes the world a ugly place ..what happen to hospitality, consideration, understanding and compassion. DON'T GO HERE AND support a place like this

Went to St. Augustine on a whim and wanted to stay in the heart of the city.
We saw the Comfort Suites and stopped to see if they had rooms.
    They did!

The room was big, and reletivly clean. Good enough for a one night stay.
Would I stay here next time, I don't think so. Not that it was bad but with so many Victorian Inn's around, why would we.

Also, the walls were extremely thin, I am a rock hard sleeper and even I couldn't believe how think the walls were. I heard a guy whitleing from the floor above us as though he was right next to me in bed.

The parking is 5$ a day, and the hot breakfast from 7am to 10am is included into the price. The pool and jacuzzi are located in front of the parking lot which was a little weird. But it is located near everything St. Augustine has to offer.
