Clean & no bugs! Helpful staff. Breakfast offerings good as well. Close to an old town trolley stop as well as area attractions. I will come back.

Clean, comfortable hotel. Walking distance to Historic downtown shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and nice hot breakfast. Pool was small but was not planning on using during the trip.

I actually discovered this hotel through their 3D building model on Google Earth.  It's a typical new and clean hotel like you would see on the side of I-95, but with an outstanding location within easy walking distance of the Castillo de San Marcos and downtown St. Augustine.  (1/4 mile)  Free parking, and decent breakfast.  I was very satisfied with the room and price, which was only $85 through hotels.com .

found out about this place through our AAA service. Got a good price with the discount, so I was willing to take a risk.
--good price
--good location (within minutes walk to main downtown sites)
--clean rooms
--parking (only $5/day)

--not well decorated in lobby or rooms--very basic
--do continental breakfasts always have to be so lame?
--I could hear the water pipes all night...oh well

At the last minute we decided to stay an extra day.  $125 AAA rate for a room with a jacuzzi, which we thought was very reasonable considering the location.  Very close to downtown.  Right next door is a bicycle rental shop, which we availed ourselves of.  Lounge chairs for sunning and a pool.  Continental breakfast was par for this type of establishment.  The jets on our jacuzzi were broken.  We asked them to fix it, but didn't get around to it.  The gentleman at the desk at check-out was helpful and reduced our rate to a normal non-jacuzzi price.

Comfortable, clean, reasonably priced with good service in a convenient location.  Good choice for those who don't want to shell out for a B&B.

Wow! Moldy smell to our room. When we complained to the staff, they did apologize and referred us to the owners? Email. Never heard anything from the owner, of course. Won't stay there again.

If you are looking for a cheap decent place to stay within walking distance to all the fun that is St. Augustine I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a group of 5 staying overnight and the room easily accommodated our group plus a few others that came to hang out with us for the evening.

I arrived earlier than our check-in time and they had no problem allowing me to go ahead and receive my parking pass so I could wander around while I waited for everyone else to arrive. They also allowed our friends to park there while we went to dinner even though they weren't staying the night.

I will definitely remember them in the future when I want an affordable place to stay for an overnight getaway.

St. Augustine is really a place where you should stay at a bed and breakfast.  But if you are going the hotel rout for whatever reason this is not a bad place to stay.  Sure otherwise is a bit over priced if you think of it in terms of what you know about hotels in general, but considering a stay at a B&B in this city is upwards of $175/night (I have only seen a few rooms at that price) and usually with a 2 night minimum, this place is definitely nicer on your wallet.  Aside from not being able to get a better deal at other hotels in this area, we also thought taking a 7 mo old to a B&B would be a disaster.  Toting a stroller up and down the stairs and crying baby bothering other guests was out of the question.  What we didn't want to compromise on was location.

The reviews I read about this hotel were all pretty standard. The staff is friendly. The rooms are decent. The towels and sheets are clean, etc. (The only thing I might not try is the whirlpool.  While it looks nice, tubs are harder to keep clean in general, and ones with jets even harder. )

What most people might not know is that it is a family owned and run operation.  The father owned a hotel on the land and now it has been past down to the son. The staff talked about them fondly which was refreshing.

Everyone that stayed there when we did were really really nice people smiling and very courteous.  Families mostly on vacation from other states and some international guests as well.  Since the town is small, we saw the other guests in town and it was a nice feeling, like we were regulars and knew people.

Breakfast is served daily usually between 7 and 10 am.  The most modern part of the whole hotel is this breakfast room.  This location offers eggs, sausage, and waffles in addition to the usual continental fare. I'm not talking omelettes and grade A meat, but this isn't the Ritz and I didn't see anyone throw their food away and the place was packed. You might also complain about the hours being early, but as previously stated I went with my baby, and he is up by 6:30 like clockwork.  While it is fantastic to be in a town where nothing is commercialzed, this also means there isn't a Starbucks open at 6 am, so an early place to go for me was a life saver.  Also, the place is full, so whether everyone is an early riser or they just want to take advantage of the food, no one here was disappointed with the quality or offers.

My favorite part about this hotel is the location.  It is a brief 8 minute walk to the center of the town, across the street from Riley`s, and around the corner from the public parking garage.

Stayed here for a 24 hour trip to St.Augustine with some friends (Nov 2014.) The room was clean, comfortable and updated. The staff was friendly. We happen to be there when there was some kind of large, all weekend pirate festival just one block over, and never had any issues with noise or anything despite many drunk pirates residing in this hotel too. :)  Plush bedding, upgraded cable package, comfortable layout, plush towels.
Nice, comfortable lobby with a large TV, and decent continental breakfast.  I don't like that they charge for parking, but in that area, you'll pay a lot more to park in city parking, and staying at this hotel, we never had to even use our car. Location location location. It's a 2-8 minute stroll to several really neat historical sites, as well as St.George street with all of the pubs, wineries, shops, and great little cafés.

I will stay here again for several reasons.

It locates at the downtown historical area that all must-go places and restaurants are 5 to 10 minutes walking distance.

The hotel is reasonable priced accommodates for family and families. Breakfast is included and parking cost you only 5 dollar a day. ($ 189 before tax for two-beds room. Price vary depends on seasons)

Room we stayed was on 4th floor and it was recently remodeled. It is clean and very quite. Bed is soft. Room equipped with mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer and free Wi-Fi.

Fitness and swimming pool on site.

The hotel is not fancy but has all features to ensure a comfortable staying at an economic cost.

We checked in on Wednesday around 6:00 pm , we got greeted right away and we had no problem checking in and I booked our stay through PRICELINE, and YES there is a $5 a night for parking but it's worth it .

We walked into our room and first thing I saw was that the room was clean and updated, my girl told me that the toilet inside could have used a little more scrubbing but it wasn't that bad.

We have outlets every where where we can connect what we want and they have two USB connections also where you can charge your cellphones as well.
People have been nice, cleaning lady always asks if we need more towels and if I have trash ( like empty boxes and wrapping paper) she tells me to leave it that she would take care of it .

Haven't had breakfast here yet, we keep waking up too late  but the breakfast area looks clean .

Over all our stay has been nice and quiet just how we like it ...
