Not a bad hotel, but a bit overpriced.  Our base rate was $103, but the $20 fee for an extra person brought our total bill with taxes to about $140.  While we had a one bedroom suite with a pullout sofa, it sounds better than it actually was.  The hotel was on the older side and a bit run-down....again, not bad, but not great.  The room was clean, had free Wi-
Fi and a nice, free breakfast.  My mom and sister loved the waffles and sausage.  In my opinion, this hotel would have earned an extra star if the base rate was in the $70-$80 range.  Let's face it....when you stay at a hotel, the bottom line is cleanliness and value.

Nasty, is the first word that comes to mind as I am writing this review.  The bed is lumpy and smells of mold, the bathroom is dirtier than a public restroom at a bus station.  Avoid this place at all cost Yelpers, it's a pit, let my experience save you from this nightmare.

DAY 1:
Well....we usually stay at a Hampton because we find them to be pretty consistent. Checked in and place needs an update. Mildew smell in hall on first floor, parking access was not that great, room feels damp, wi-fi connection was difficult to access. Hope things improve......

DAY 2:
Well giving 2 stars because breakfast was good, although the space to dine is very small making seating difficult and access to the buffet difficult. Room was cleaned well but still feels damp. Wi-fi hit and miss the whole time. At times not able to access at all and other times it would just boot you off.

Can't say I would recommend staying here since you can find better accommodations for the same price. Must agree with others about remodel and not that great a place to stay.

This hotel is too over priced for the outdated look. The room seemed clean however the bathroom towel has some yellow stains and light gray old stains. Even one towel was damp. Called down to desk who had some unpleasant responses like "I don't know about that I'm not in housekeeping and they don't come in until ..." Had ask twice for fresh towels to brought up to room. One person took shower at night and other in morning and both times we had to run water 5 mins before it got hot and had to turn it all the way up on hot. Sink water never did get hot. Mildew in shower. Ok stay. Have seen better years ago with Country inn but lately they have failed me and my guests every time.

I m here a lot on business and this is the best hotel for the price (on a weeknight, if you clip a coupon from a motel magazine or find a good price on orbitz, you can get nightly rate for around 100...in winter, even lower!)

First-- staff is SO friendly.  Conner on evenings--- OMG --- she will go OUT OF HER WAY any way she can to make you feel welcome. Even the night shift tried to help me get some breakfast as I was leaving before breakfast started (5:30 am!).

The business center and workout center get the job done and are clean.

The bed is very COMFY with  a plump duvet  as the bedspread that I love.  Bathroom looks clean and updated to me.  Nice complementary parking and walking distance to good places to grab food.  I plan on returning to COuntry inn and Suites for vacation--not business-this summer in St Augustine and couldnt be more excited!

For a hotel that says they've recently undergone an update... They need another one.

The hotel was clean, comfortable, but the rooms were outdated. In my King room, there was a huge gap along the wall where something seemed to be missing. The art work was a jumble of images that didn't go together and was aesthetically displeasing. The AC.. while set to 66* didn't seem to get below 70* and left the room feeling damp.

I will say though, that the breakfast was amazing. There were scrambled eggs, sausage and french toast.  There were pastry and doughnuts, cereal and juices, and there was no issue with getting what you wanted.

Awful stay here. The fire alarm went off at 2am. We were told it's because the control panel is in the main entrance door way and someone got confused and hit a button to be buzzed in. My response was than someone should move the panel ! The cited code was the reason it is there, but that's a bunch of bull.

Location is ok.

Service was ok.

Inside of rooms was very dated and in need a a refurb. As you can see from my pics tub was nasty.

Singed a waiver agreement that the price total was 167 a night then the morning of checkout they slipped a bill for 197 dollars under my door. The added state tax.... this is in Florida and city tax on an in packaged item

Well I agree with everyone above.  Definitely a place to crash and leave immediately.  Our room had a mildew smell and the bathroom was in need of alittle help.  The decor was about ok.  I wish I would have read the reviews on Yelp before I booked this room through hotels.com . Yelpers are usually more honest about their reviews. St George inn or The Cozy Inn are probably better hotels.

Lost a star immediately for having all fluorescent lighting in the rooms. If they want to save a buck and "save the environment" then use candles and lanterns. I absolutely hate fluorescent lighting; it's cold, abrasive, horrible on the eyes, and can give some people headaches.

Next, the first two rooms they gave me had door and window issues. There were actually gaps between the door and frame and the windows' locks were not secure. Many of the window locks that actually did work were not locked to begin with.

After we finally settled in, we found the A/C to be a bit loud, but it was tolerable.

The redeeming factors were the staff and the free breakfast. The staff was very motivated to make sure we were happy and the breakfast had a good selection and was well-maintained. And my wife was impressed that they had Pantene bath products. These three things gave them a 3 star rating instead of 2.

Just make sure you check the doors and windows before you leave your valuables in the room, especially if you are on the first floor.
