I usually enjoy staying in hotels which cost upwards of $100 per night. I was very impressed by this motel, and what it offered for only $41 per night. Spacious room, and clean, really nothing to complain about except for the small pillows but hey, it is a cheap motel. The guy at the front desk was super friendly and moved us to a new room when our tv didn't work, even called the room after we got in to see if everything in the room was fine. When I turned on the outdated tv, I was seriously impressed by the 200+ high quality channels. Well worth the money for me.

Nice clean and comfortable bed, but the balcony railing has not been cleaned in a long time (nasty) $100 + per night should have been a little nicer. Half size pillows. All the locks to the balcony were broken. Windows have not been cleaned in ages. Worth one star.

"Oh my god," I told my friend, "what did you get us into?" as we pulled into the parking lot and found a police car parked there (first bad sign), and the hotel's attendant locked inside the lobby (second bad sign), so that we could only speak to him and check in to the hotel through bulletproof glass (third bad sign). Yes, it was night time, but I suddenly felt like I was in Overtown. Although the rooms were affordable, I thought this was beyond sketchy.
Our fears were calmed as we entered the room though, as apart from a CRT TV which needs to be replaced by something more modern by now, everything looked to be in good condition. I did my usual bedbug check through and found none, the sheets did not have any stains, nor did the bathrooms. The air conditioning worked fine. If you're just planning to come to the hotel for sleeping and nothing else, it does the job. Don't expect hot tubs, pools, or anything posh of the sort, this is the bare minimum.
I recommend wearing shoes only because my socks were suddenly black after pacing through the room about 4-5 times, but that is why I hate carpets and to be expected in a highly-trafficked place like a hotel room.
