The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We just wanted a nights rest and did not use the pool, etc. We had a room at the end of the hall on the forth floor and it is a hike. They gave a discount for Perkins which was just a few feet away and great for a hot meal before bed. Basically clean, carpets good, tub clean, no mildew, furniture in good shape and good internet. We used the coupon book and depended on Trip Advisor to steer us this way. Asked to see the room prior to check in and that was not a problem for the staff. Noticed lots of young people around but they were not a problem. We also tell the clerk we want a quiet night and ask if there are any weddings or large groups in the hotel. The way they answer tells us a lot. More than once, after asking, we were given a room away from possible noise. Weddings, reunions, religious conferences all seem to go brain dead when it comes to common courtesy at 1 AM, loud good nights, slamming doors, etc. Important, if noise gets out of hand call the desk and complain quickly and firmly, drunks in particular only get worse. Never yell at the clerk they usually are doing their best. Take the clerks name and have the clerk log your call. In the morning ask for the manager. We have gotten free nights after having documented an interrupted night's sleep. If management ignores you get names and quickly write a concise factually letter to the President of the corporation, by name, amazing what can happen! Saying you will NEVER use a chain again over one incident is unfair and a waste of breath. Breakfast was decent, the cream beef was hot. Will return.

Oh no, don't stay here.  Sleep in the car.  In a roadside rest stop.  Grab some Joe and stay on the road.  An all night bar.  Get the drift?  Don't say I didn't warn you...

This hotel was a little out of the way for our intended destination, the beach, but I think it was well worth the commute. The front desk staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great. Sunday morning continental breakfast included the usual, with eggs, sausage, and waffles.

We've already booked another stay in a few weeks!

Nice Hotel and lived up to its online reviews and pictures!

The Fiance and me would easily stay here again as the beds where comfortable; the room kept very clean (maid service was EXCELLENT); the pool area nice and inviting; the breakfast fresh and better than most ANY continental I have had; and the staff friendly and helpful. I can only see this local getting better as they are in the middle of an upscale room[s] remodeling, so yes, AmericInn, we will return.

My husband and I took my in-laws to Sarasota for a couple of days and spent a night here.  They loved it!  At 5 p.m. the staff opened up the little eating area with nacho's, chili, corn dogs etc.  You could help yourself to coffee or juice and they also had Bud Light on tap and wine, 2 free drinks per customer.  My mother in law made herself a taco salad and ended up not needing dinner.

The room was spacious and beds were comfy, it was very clean also.  It was a little farther from St. Armand's Circle than I had expected but it's surrounded by quite a few places to eat.

Our only gripe was the pool was completely taken over by little kids, some sort of T ball team or something.  The parents were camped out for hours and even had their dinner out there.  My father in law was hit by a ball thrown by one of the kids whose mom was busy sucking back beer but that's no fault of the hotel.  There's a grill out by the pool which is nice.

Breakfast was good.  Pre-made omelettes, sausages and sausage patty's, fruit, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, muffins, danish, yogurt.  This was great for my teenage brother in-law!

This may sound wacky but it smelled really good in there!  They must pump some sort of air freshener into the air.

Stay here if you hate sleep. Every cough, movement in bed, toilet flush, and step is heard through the paper thin walls. Management is incompetent, consistently overbooking the hotel, ensuring you won't have a room upon arrival. The design of the bathrooms remind me of a hospital or nursing home.

Although I will not stay here again, there is some good with the bad. The rooms mute almost all outdoor noise, and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds.

We stayed in the suite.  It was clean, comfortable and big.  The maids do a wonderful job of cleaning and I am very impressed.  We did not get to spend anytime in the pool or hit tub, but saw them from our room. They were very clean and well taken care of by employees.  The desk clerks were friendly.  It has a relaxed atmosphere.
Breakfast is served every morning and is quite good. I had the Belgian waffles, fruit and granola. The eggs, bacon and sausage looked good too.  There are two sitting areas that are comfortable to sit and talk with friends.  When I return to sarasota I will be happy to stay here again.

I just remembered one issue---water pressure in the shower is very weak!!

After earning a free hotel stay through a 3rd party site, I decided to see what review were posted about this hotel. I fully understand that no two people will share the same experiences, but I'm glad I took a chance on this property. My visit date was 12-13-14 ( cute date right, lol) and the staff was open and inviting.
