This is an old style motel.  Very large.  FULL OF ROACHES. Noisy.  Quite inexpensive.  A person working there told me it was being torn down soon.  Good idea!

Came for the Outback Bowl and found this was close.  Rooms were dirty, beds are terrible!  There is a reason it is cheap.  Would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn in the same parking lot.  Toilet overflowed and it took four phone calls and two trips to the front desk to get any action, missed the parade waiting for maintenance .  There are Restaurants close and easy to get around.

We checked in after being reassured that the roach problem was gone. The first room was smelly from whatever cleaners/chemicals they used. There were three of us and we requested an extra bath towel at noon. We also told them that the air conditioner was not working. We were told we would get the towel and that when maintenance came on at 2pm, they would fix the a/c. The room and building is in need of major overhaul. Our carpet had bare threads and the room was really substandard. We had reserved the room for 4 nights. Well at 10pm, we returned to our room to find no towel or working a/c. We called the front desk who told us we could come down and get the towel. They would also call the maintenance guy. He confirmed that the a/c was broken. As a result, we were given a different room. Oh, did I forget to mention that both rooms had roaches? Well, the second room (700 building) was a little better in terms of condition and a little less smelly but the two roaches sitting on the carpet between the bed appeared quite at home. We were able to check out two days later. I must say that this place was worse than any motel or hotel I have stayed at (with a higher rate charged). I definitely would not go back and recommend that you avoid this place at all costs. Oh, the pool was unheated and dirty...just in case you were thinking of swimming.

Told on the phone there was. 24 hour shuttle... Not the case!  Have to pay an additional $20 for a cab to the airport at 5:15. Am.   Then... Went to use their computer to check in for our flight and after rebooting and putting in all info 4 times we gave up and went to our room 35 min later.  And our room?  About a 10 min walk to the back of the lot, where we had to pass by many questionable characters, lots of loud music and motorcycle and car mufflers and we arrived at our musty smelling room.  Oh... And breakfast isn't until 6:30....  So no free breakfast for those catching early flight at the "AIRPORT" hotel!!!  And don't bother trying to get the wifi to work well enough to access a site from your room either.  Not the quality that I'm used to with a comfort inn...  It's more like an old Howard Johnson's or days inn they purchased and are calling a comfort inn. :(

This is one of the worst hotels ever... The staff is rude and ignorant, the rooms are horrible, the pool is a joke. Now if you are looking for illegal activities this is the place for you, because there was much of this going on throughout the night. People coming and going and others walking around the grounds till the wee hours of the morning. All I can say is you have been warned, I recommend you pay the extra 20$ and find a better place if you value your safety.

In addition the staff does not give any information on the owners of the location and the Comfort Inn corporate office will not claim this establishment as one of theirs. They even say they are in the process of having the sign removed from this location.

FYI.. Bay Harbor LLC. is the owner of the property..

Don't bother unless you want bug bites.
The hotel rooms were filthy with dirt and dust on the floor and furniture. Bathroom floor with body hair and dirt. Bedding was worn and pilling.
AC only ran high-cold and very loud.
Earliest van to airport starts at 5am making it very tight for a 6 AM departure.
Office staff suggested we order a taxi called with their suggested taxi company business cards left at the counter, estimated cost for Taxi $35. Taxi never arrived.
Hotel staff doesn't answer phone from room. Had to call multiple times and was hung up on three times before they finally answered.
Asked for coffee while we waited for our cab and was told no coffee service until 5 AM, it was 4:45.
Very disappointed and still suffering from bug bites.

Not the best hotel in the area. But it does it's job. Bed, tv, shower, pool and free breakfast. Some of the buildings are past due for repairs and upgrades. A few are ok though. I stayed in suite 700. Which is a suite. Tile floor in the living room, kitchenette and bathroom. Very nice separate bedroom. With another tv. This is the best room I have stayed in at this hotel. They upgraded me to this at no cost because of my rewards program status. If you are on a budget this is the hotel for you.

The location was great, and the discounted price available on Hotwire was ok... until you consider some deal breaking issues.

The rooms themselves are ok for a discounted motel. However, the rooms definitely have cockroaches. There were at least 3 crushed and left on the walls when I arrived. These were noticeable and should have been removed by the cleaning staff.

There were very active baby roaches throughout the stay. I saw at least 3-4 within 30 minutes of being in the room.

Given the bug/cleanliness issue, this would be more suitable as a $40 a night room for people who are not afraid of bugs. But ultimately, the typical person is not going to want to set foot in these rooms.

The location is great, but the Holiday Inn Express in the next lot is where most people are going to want to go. They say you get what you pay for. In this case, you get less, because there are roaches. Not sure if my discounted Hotwire booking got me put in one of the lower quality rooms, but I was in the 800 section at the very back of the lot.

The tub also drained very slowly after showering.

Suitable for young people looking for a cheap room, and don't mind roughing it, and aren't afraid of roaches. ;)

This place is horrible! While I was drying my hair, there were cockroaches crawling out of the dryer! And more cockroaches came out near the bathroom afterwards! Don't be fooled by the cheap price per night. I rather you pay slightly more and have a peaceful sleep without worrying bug bites! The place is filthy and terrible.

I have to believe there has been a significant change in management since the spate of negative reviews because I just spent two days at this hotel and had a good experience. A lot of us were in town for the Spartan Special Ops race at RJ Stadium and many of us stayed at at the Comfort Inn and I really didn't hear one complaint. The rooms were clean, as were the bathrooms, and I didn't find dirt or the bed bugs that other reviewers have seen. All in all it was a pleasant experience and if I am ever in Tampa again, or attending anything at Raymond James, I intend on staying here.

The only pathetic thing about this place was the WiFi. It was frequently not available and when it was, the signal was poor.
