The location of my room drops this review from a 4 star to a 3 star and almost a 2 star. If you check in and they give you room 367 you need to RUN back to the desk and demand another room. We walked in, dropped our stuff and left to visit family in the area. By night time when we returned and spread everything out and showered it was too late to move. The traffic noise from I 75 which is the view from this room was LOUD. Had I not had some ear plugs with me I don't think I could have fallen asleep.
The hotel is nice and the staff are all nice and professional. The suite was large and well annointed. The biggest issue here is the room location and it appeared there were plenty of rooms available away from where we stayed.
I carry my own wi fi so this wasn't an issue but I agree with the other reviewer that charging for wi fi is bogus.

I was torn between three stars and two stars but I dont know why. I guess after staying next door at the Homewood Suites, everything lacks luster. I dopnt like how the only real window is the bedroom, the one in the livingroom looks out into the hall but you have wooden shutter blinds for privacy. I prefer natural light. The size of the suite was nice though- I had a one bedroom. The living room has a couch, chair, dining room table and flat screen on a stand. In the hall leading to the bedroom is a wetbar with a sink, mini fridge (but no freezer which was a minus as my dinner had ice cream) and across fromt hat is the bathroom. Love the bath products, smelled delightful and made my skin soft. The bedroom has a large bed, airmore, flat screen and table with bench.
The free made to order breakfast is great, but the downfall is that there is no room service for breakfast, only lunch and dinner.
The parking lot fills up fast but there is a lot of places to park, just not close to the door.
It is a nice hotel and if the Homewood Suites every gets too pricey I will gladly come next door to the Embassy Suites.

My company stays here every week and the staff is amazing!!! The rooms are very clean and the breakfast buffet is second to none; made to order omelette and Belgium waffles. I just love coming here my home away from home. Katrina the sales coordinator is an amazing professional . Carmen the food and beverage manager really knows her stuff. The pool and hot tub very clean. Highly recommend it!

Our first time staying at this hotel. We paid group rates to attend an event nearby. Though it wasn't a super classy upscale hotel, it provided good customer service and an incredible hot breakfast (that was free, btw). It doesn't seem like much from the exterior, so we were definitely surprised at how much they provided and also the extent to quality in the room. We are in Tampa/Brandon area at least twice a year, and will definitely be here again.
The only bad part was a church group that had bunked up on the same weekend of our stay--and they had pre-teens running around on all floors who caused horrible disturbances through the wee hours of night. By the time midnight hit, I would have hoped that security or hotel staff in general of some sort had managed to find adults in charge to get the kids under control.

My company continually uses the Embassy suites to host job fairs all over the country and we had just switched our Tampa job fair over to the Embassy Suites in Brandon. So far this hotel is superb and one of my personal favorites out of all 12 of my markets. I look forward to seeing the staff and they always seem willing to go above and beyond to make sure I have a great event. If you need a hotel in the Tampa area to host an event, consider this location. Very classy.

I stayed here for three nights on business. I was actually very satisfied with the hotel. Check in was a breeze and front desk staff was helpful and courteous. My room was clean and like other Embassy Suites features a separate sitting area and wet bar with each bedroom/bathroom. Loved the comfy bed and bedding and the AC kept the temperature cool enough at night. The water pressure was weak in the bathroom and wet bar sinks but fine in the shower. TV reception is a little snowy, especially on the higher channels. I agree with others, that for $150/night, this hotel should offer free WiFi. It wasn't a big deal for me since I can tether off my phone but it is annoying. The bedroom is separated from the common hall by the sitting room so it was nice and quiet to sleep. I specifically asked for a room on the opposite side from the highway (after reading Wayne S.'s review) which turned out to be a good idea. I was near the pool and although people were in it later at night being on the 4th floor I didn't hear much, and I'm a light sleeper.
For amenities they have a small gym. I used the treadmill one day and each one of the three had its own TV. They provide towels and water in the gym. There is a basic pool and hot tub, both outdoors. There is a business center and on site laundry for guests. They provide a nightly managers reception from 5:30-7:30pm with free snacks, wine, beer and soda. Best of all there is a FREE breakfast buffet every morning starting at 6:30am. There is a omelet station, bacon/sausage, eggs, breakfast potatoes, waffles, cereal, pastries, grits and oatmeal. Some mornings they had French toast or breakfast burritos. Staff was on hand to quickly whisk away any dirty dishes. Not high quality food but a great way to start the day never the less. The hotel is in a GREAT location. Close to the interstate and toll road and only 10-15 minutes (on Hwy 60) from the Channelside area or downtown. The Brandon mall, which I was actually pretty impressed with, is less than a mile away. There are lots of dining options including Thai, Sushi, Cheesecake Factory, Five Guys and BBQ.

We just had my daughter's wedding at this hotel and I just can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. They go out of their way to make sure everything goes smoothly and they are always available and smiling. I highly recommend this hotel.

I'm sad to report I don't agree with the other travelers on my recent stay. Although the room was clean, spacious, and updated I was disappointed in the location and service for the price.
First off I will stay as a Hilton Honors member I was very annoyed this hotel did not offer FREE Wifi, I mean really, it's 2013, I don't see why, as a loyal Hilton patron, I had to pay $11 for internet each day on top of the already too expensive $160/per night.
Second, the location was relatively sketchy to me, random people walking around outside at night and tucked away between residential homes and commercial businesses offered all kinds of traffic. Outside of the building had mold and water stains suggesting poor upkeep as well. If I did not already have a reservation I would have passed the building by.
Service was just average at the desk, I had to interrupt personal conversations to check out and ask questions. Breakfast was another story, I've never met a more unorganized and lacking Hilton breakfast. Omelette line service catered to the "regulars" despite a line of other patrons, it took over 20min for me to get an egg with only 2 other people waiting ahead of me since so many regulars just walked up and spouted out orders without waiting. Other hot line foods were not worth eating, the best thing breakfast had going for it was a fountain soda machine...

I came here for a wedding, and a friend of mine was also staying here, so we often carpooled. The staff were extremely nice, very helpful, and even knowledgeable when I came around asking for possible running routes.
The friend I met there was a "talker." He REALLY liked chatting up the staff, other guests, probably even houseplants. I was all too happy to run, or just be alone, but he wanted to make sure he and I were buddy-buddy for the trip. He's talkative, but harmless. Meanwhile, the staff handled him with total grace, and I think were amused to no end by our odd-couple behavior. At least I had my own room at night to get some quiet!
Big shoutouts to Samantha and Darren, both of whom were terrific, and put up with my quasi-obnoxious, very talkative friend!

On my 3rd night of travel this week and at another Embassy Suites. Room was clean, the TV's were updated and plenty of room to get some work done. They also had a robe laid out on the bed! Makes me feel like a king!

Overall this is a really great place to stay!
My best friend and i decided to take an impromptu getaway. He called me on Wednesday and since I didn't have anything planned for the weekend, I jumped online to find a deal. I booked this hotel through the PriceLine Negotiator! I usually use Hotwire but this was my first time trying something different. I got it for a really good rate compared to everything else I was seeing so I would probably use it again. Since I already know these sites give you rooms the hotel couldn't sell, I immediately called the hotel and requested two double beds like we always do.
When I called, the young lady was very friendly and said she would get it taken care of for me. We arrived in Tampa on Friday evening. When we got to the front desk, the gentleman was courteous and went to check us in right away. Unfortunately there was no record of my call and they had us booked in a king suite. Of course, all of the double bed rooms were sold out and there was nothing they could do.
As a customer service quality analyst, I know that mistakes can happen and I'm big on seeing what you are gonna do to make things right. Don't tell me what you CAN'T do. Lets focus on what you CAN do. Fortunately, I remembered the name of the person I spoke to and she turned out to be the sales director. He tried to call her but was unable to reach her. He then called his manager who let him know there was nothing they could really do about the room.
He let us know he could trying to call and speak to. Manager in the morning. He offered to buy one of us dinner at the hotel restaurant and so someone else gave us free wifi. We also got a late checkout. Overall, they handled the situation decently but everything we got, we pretty much had to ask for it. I would have liked for them to offer some of these things vs. us having to ask them what they will do to make things right.
Enough about that situation! We got into the room and it was very spacious. The bed is in a separate room by itself with a door. There is a pullout sofa bed in the room that came in handy. The bathroom was clean and roomy. There's nothing worse than a small cramped bathroom and that definitely wasn't a problem here. There is a small fridge and a microwave. They also have a tv in the bedroom and one I the suite with the couch. For the price we paid, it was a great deal.
They also offer complimentary breakfast! I'm not talking just cereal and muffins... I'm talking an omelette station, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, muffins and all types of deliciousness! I definitely enjoyed that.
They have a pool but its really small. If you're looking to do some laps, this is not the pool for you. It looks like the type of outdoor pool you just add to be able to add it to your amenities list. The room service choices are great but we didn't get anything. The location is cool. It's kinda tucked away down a street with a dead end.
I would definitely come back and stay here again. Hope you enjoy your stay!

In and out of Tampa for work, so we didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel, but it did the trick.
Rooms were clean and I am really starting to dig "suites." I wake up super early, he likes to sleep in. In this suite, the bedroom door closed, so I could make coffee and get some work done from the living area in front of the room.
Sheets were soft, and I thought the bed was comfy... but we both ended up tossing and turning through most of the night.
Check in was fast and easy... and the customer service was informative and super bubbly. I was in a bit of a rush, so had to hurry in and out, so was a little impatient to get in and out.
Tip: Listen to your GPS. I spotted the hotel, and did a U turn on the main road, thinking there would be an entrance. (There was not.) I ended up having to turn in at the mall (on a Sunday!) so traffic getting back to Faulkner (or whatever that road was) was traffic hell.
And only one minor inconvenience, but we were very informed about it. The water was being shut off for a few hours during our stay, but the staff did make sure we knew about it. (A couple of times actually. A few calls, stopping us on the way back in to the hotel.... but at least we knew.) And it did alter our plans a bit, but ya know, what can you do.
I read another review that said the wifi was not free, but it was for us? We were staying on the night Game of Thrones premiered the new season, so it could have been an HBO GO thing, but after connecting, the speed was not great, but thank you aircard and laptop for saving the day.
Seems to be a lot of options for food and shopping next to this hotel, and while we did not eat here, they have a complimentary breakfast and a little bar called Mangos.

If I could stay there for the rest of my life, Id be happy too. The service was nothing short if spectacular. Free cocktails from 5:30pm-7:30pm as well as an amazing atmosphere. I will certainly be back and I can assure anyone looking for a hotel to go to a Tampa attraction, stay here.
