I've stayed in five or six of this chain and never had a bad experience. This one is not  terrible, but this place needs to tend to detail. You can't get in the door without a card and so -duh - you have to beat on the door to check in. The guy at the counter waves his hand to indicate Use Your Card...
Get to my room which is OK except I punch all the buttons on the air conditioner because the room is freezing and finally give up and unplug it.
Go to check out the exercise room, my card won't work.
Guy at the desk says yeah, you're only staying one night.
But he says he can let me in.
Then I can't find the remote for the TV anywhere, go to the desk, the guy says, look in the drawer it must be there. Go back and search, no remote.
Go back to front desk.
He gets me one, helpfully putting in new batteries.
It will not work. Nada. No way.
Go back to the desk.
Take deep breaths.
"It won't work."
"What kind of TV"
"Magnavox"
"It should work"
deep breath (to my credit, I did NOT say, yeah, and pigs should fly...)
He rummages around in the cabinet and comes up with an instruction sheet for my GE universal remote... it wants four digit codes
Got the code?
Oh.
Pulls out another sheet, this one about a yard wide full of all the TV codes in the world. He helpfully highlights the 13 - 13! - Magnavox codes and says
one of these should work
(I did NOT say...)
And the wi-fi is free, all right, but telephone slow. For anything like normal, you pay extra.
Adios, Extended Stay!!!

Annoyed that their "free shuttle" ( why I chose this) only runs on the hour, meaning I have to catch the 6am shuttle for my 8am flight. Also no wake-up call, no place to eat within long walking distance and no in-room safe. Room is Spartan but fine - nice little kitchen, fine fridge, one plate, two bowls, two plastic glasses,

I stayed here for 1 month. Its a reasonably priced place near to the Airport. The rooms all come with a kitchenette and WiFi, so its kind of Ideal for anyone who wants to self cater. There is also a Swimming pool adjoining the parking lot, which is reasonably clean. The Staff are pretty friendly and there is also a vend machine and a laundromat.
The best thing is without a doubt the price..

Stayed here because of work but would never stay here if I had a choice or had to pay. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in by far! Let me start off with the building itself the walls paper thin and the elevator beeps VERY loud. You can here other guests from every angle and then the elevator pinging when ever the button is pressed to go up or down.  Now the room; first off the room is a good size for one or two people 4 people would be a bit crowded.  They have a curtain as a closet door and the screen on my window was bent and was bearly on the window frame. This hotel doesn't wash dishes which I'm surprised because Marriott Residence Inn alwqys does and for free!  My room had gross dirty dishes everywhere!  2 out of 4 plates were in the cabinet dirty with food stuck on them (like no one ever checked if they were clean or not). The light over my stove was out and no one ever cleaned the anything on the hood. I'll include pix if I can. I only had one bowl and no cooking utensils. Some of the eating utensils like spoons and forks were also dirty. When I complained they told me to go to lobby and get new ones (like really,  you can't do me the courtesy of coming to my room and exchangimg them). Also they don't give you extra towels!  And No pool towels either!  They don't give you clean towels but once a week which is also the only time your trash is taken out, bed made,  or room cleaned. There is no trash can in the restroom so if your female then that's lame. No spa, if you want fresh towels you have to go to the lobby and exchange your old ones for new ones.  Yup kinda what I imagine prison is like. I'd maybe pay $50 a night for this place but it's not worth a penny more. Super dirty and they nickel and dime you for any little thing like room cleaning in between your week,  or even room refreshing. Also,  the Free Wi-Fi is a joke!

I stayed here this past Saturday the 27th because it was close to a wedding I was attending. I checked in and front desk girl was very nice. I went in to room to get ready for wedding. Off the bat noticed the hallways were really dirty with trash and debris. Well I got ready and wasn't in there long before I had to leave. Me and my husband didn't get back until very late. As we came in room I went into bathroom and immediately noticed roaches in the bathtub and all over the counter. I started killing them. Then looked where the hairdryer on wall was plugged in and they were coming out of that and could see roach poop all over. I felt really gross. They were crawling all around my personal items. I had to disinfect everything. There is no one at front desk late at night so we had to suffer through the night. Next morning when it was time to check out we told office about everything and their only comment was we will make a note of it. Wow. I have left numerous messages for the corporate office for this hotel. No call back. Called hotwire to tell them to remove this hotel from their list and hung up on me both times. Save your money!!! Don't stay here. Including the non existent Wi-Fi that they supposedly have. None of my devices would connect or find it. Extremely upset. Waste of my money.

This place was infested with fleas. Was here on a business trip for a couple weeks with about 60 other people 40 of which are all bitten up. Rooms are in dire need of renovation.  They do have onsite laundry which is nice. Avoid staying here at all costs.

Earlier this month, business travel took me to Tampa, Florida for a brief two day conference. In a down economy, I find myself utilizing more cost-conscious locations such as Extended Stay America, to fulfill my lodging needs. Your chain in general has exceeded every expectation, but this location, particularly so.
After picking up my rental car at Tampa International Airport, I proceeded towards this location for check in. During the course of this travel, I was notified that a friend of mine from the military, had succumbed to an overdose of painkillers and depression that he had been struggling with, ever since his return from Afghanistan. With a tear stained face, I proceeded to check in at this hotel- where your manager, Ayman Salem, picked up on the stress I was going through. Looking over his front desk receptionists shoulder, he merely said, "I don't think you have him in the right room, please put him in ___ or ___(forgot the room #'s)." When I arrived at the room, he had placed me in quite possibly the most modern, well furnished, and largest room available at his property- without me expecting or requesting it. This was followed up by a phone call from his staff to check in on me, to see if there was anything they could do to facilitate my stay.
The next day, I ran into him in the parking lot, and he expressed concern, GENUINE concern over my well being and ability to travel back home. Extended Stay America may be ranked by some standards as a two or three star economy hotel, but the service rendered at this Tampa Location was five star service from a five star type of guy.
I'm not sure if these are franchises, or Ayman works at the corporate level as a hotel manager; but you would do well to have each and every one of your up and coming franchise owners model off this young man. I am on the road close to 200 days a year, dealing with airlines, rental car companies, and hotel chains...so it is readily evident when someone is a standout.
I wish Extended Stay America continued success as a brand, and you will be receiving glowing reviews from me on my priceline, Tripadvisor, and Yelp! Accounts. As for Ayman, bless you for reminding me that we aren't all simply 'numbers' or 'guests'- you bring a value of humanity back to hospitality.
