Extremely pleasant and clean "Inn" with very friendly and helpful employees. Seems to be recently built. A little hard to find. Our room was spacious w/ 2 queensize beds w/ adjustable mattress firmness, woolpad, down pillows. Bathroom very clean w/ tub. I liked it so much I just booked another overnight stay on my next trip this month. Less than 5 minutes from airport and rental car return.

We flew in to Tampa for our 1 week vacation in Florida and booked a night on arrival and 1 night on departure in this Hotel. Both times we got just what we asked for ( 1 Room 2 Queen Size Beds None Smoking ) and they even gave us the same room both times. We were right on the main level close to the side entrance which was great because that's where we had our car parked so unloading and loading our suitcases was a breeze. Both times we arrived at the Hotel around Midnight and there were very friendly and attentive staff behind the front desk.
Breakfast was included and very delicious with a pretty big selection, for an additional fee you could have the cook make you a nice Omelette. The DIY waffle maker was very entertaining for the kids and made really good tasting waffles.
I think the most memorable part about the Hotel is the amazing water pressure in the shower :)
We are going back to Florida next year and we are definitely staying at Hilton Garden again.

Two stars- Let me begin by saying I booked this room on hotels.com , I booked a non-smoking evolution room with a king bed.  Upon check-in the desk clerk mentioned the hotel was full and we were lucky to have booked the room two days prior.  Well when we walked into the room which was right next to the elevator it was a smoking room and it the smoke smell was very strong.  The room smelled like an effing bar.  I went back to the lobby to see about getting a non-smoking room and the lady stated that hotels.com booked us in a smoking room and there was a note that said non-smoking preferred.  I pulled up the email on my phone and showed her that the reservation said non-smoking, long story short she basically said sorry but all the other rooms are reserved so I was SOL.  I put all my stuff in the bathroom which was the only area that didn't smell like an ashtray.  Maybe you will have better luck than I did, the hotels.com rating was 4.6 out of 5.0 and had a 95% recommend rating.

Nice decor, clean and prompt check in, just like a zillion other hotels.  Way over priced. The Hilton name was the only thing telling me it wasn't just another Holiday Inn.

We arrived at the hotel around 8PM. We found out that we accidentally double booked ourselves on the same reservation. The "night manager" on duty refused to cancel our reservation even though we were staying there for the weekend. He was pretty arrogant and his refusal was shocking (it wasn't like we were staying at another property... it was an accident!). Yes, we booked both reservations through a third-party vendor, but IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.

I believe his name is Chris/Charles? Whichever name he gave to our third-party vendor who was READY to cancel our double booking upon his approval. He chose not to and essentially-- "sticking to policy"-- happy to charge us two rooms at two-nights stay.

Every property has a choice and wiggle room to make the right decision despite stated cancellation policies. Because of one horrible employee's decision and attitude, we will not be staying at that property or another Hilton property again.

Awful service.  Called twice from airport requesting shuttle.  Shuttle never showed.  Front desk wanted to argue with me that it did come but I wasn't standing in the right place.  This was not only incorrect, but why argue with a Diamond guest.  I saw shuttles from Hyatt and Sheraton drive past me.  I get to the room and it's hot and directly across from the elevator.  I love Hilton and stay a boat load of nights per year.  But this is the worst experience ever.

We ended up at this hotel due to my air conditioning going out on a saturday.  We found this coupon online for an 89.00 room. We booked it and headed that way. When we got there Rosie the front desk clerk was very friendly. We explained to her that we were they due to our ac going out and she felt bad for us. She upgraded us from a queen bed standard room to a poolside suite with a living room and bedroom. she gave us coupons for sat and sun cooked breakfast which by the way was delicious buffet or the chef would cook you a speciality omelet.  We invited friends over enjoyed the pool and watched some tv it was great.  On Sunday nite, we had dinner in the hotel and once again the food was delicious; however, the portions were too small. if i ever need a place to stay locally again it would absolutely be there. By the way, it is also right across from the airport with shuttle service if needed.

Having worked in hotels for many years I always seem to be picky when it comes to where I stay. With that being said I try to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Westshore whenever I come to Tampa. First off it is close to the airport which I like. They have a free shuttle that will pick you up and take you to the hotel. I will also take you to the local mall as well as close to Raymond James Stadium if you are here for a game, which was a big money saver.

The rooms are just about perfect. Very clean. The last time I came into town I arrived very late, around 10. I had made a comment to the bus driver that I was hungry and he actually called ahead to the hotel and told the restaurant that I was coming into the hotel. They actually stayed open a few minutes later for me to order some room service, which was at a very good price, around what food normally is at a restaurant.

Whenever I had a question or concern the front desk was quick to help out. I will certainly be back again.

What a joke. I spent my birthday night  here. I dined at their restaurant and was very disappointed. The agave tequila drink was supposed to have cilantro in it. The bartender put rosemary in it. It was returned only for her to use PARSLEY  in it!

The scallop dish was way over cooked and the asparagus was about 3/4" in diameter. If you are a foodie you won't appreciate such blunders. I was given apology and not charged. The staff at rest. We're pleasant, but I would have rather had a nice meal to enjoy instead of a very Unmemorable birthday dinner.

I would not have left a bad review simply over the food and drink......

Early AM,  I was woken up by a strong light coming in the window where the black out curtain doesn't meet. Around 8, I called to complain, I wanted good sleep more than anything.

They sent up a girl who said she would staple the curtain to the wall, but she arrived with tape. We'll tape didn't really work. The gap in the curtain exposing light was aimed right at the bed.

20 minutes later the operations manager said he could fix it.

He interrupted me once again.he said he would have yet another person  come to tape it up all the way to the ceiling.

I told him I didn't need more intrusions......

At checkout I presented him with photos of the problem. The decorator curtain was only on one side which would have prevented light from coming in on the other side

The complaint went over his head ,he didn't get it.

Never have I seen a decorator curtain on only one side.

The bed was a bit too firm ,but the entry of light ruined my stay. I was given a breakfast coupon which I didn't use, I needed sleep, not food. I certainly was in no mood to get up and go down to eat when I didn't have proper sleep. The management is clueless

Complete waste of $189. A rip off

They don't have recycle bins either

The flavored water at the front tastes like artificial flavored powdered drink mix with floating citrus .

    This place disappointed.

I posted photos of their home page of the light problem. I will post the asparagus also. You can see how thick and inedible it was

Fancy presentations don't fool me. I'm a well traveled , food savy person

The photo show light coming in after tape job

The time spent complaining and writing this will not help me . In fact I doubt the staff will make any adjustments . Anyway. I mentioned it and I was left Unsatisfied. I wish I could donate the $189 to charity

Got a great rate here. My lady booked the room since she has "status" with hilton. Upon arrival they didn't have the room type we requested so we got some breakfast and points for free.

The garage parking is great. You use your room key to get out of it.

The guy in the kitchen making omletes was really engaging and a good guy.

The beds are fairly firm, especially for today's hotel standards, and I like that.

I'm ASSUMING this place is an older hotel that got a facelift. Why? I wouldn't have guessed except for the shower. The shower just seemed really old and the floor coating was peeling off showing much older tile below. So yea... It's one of those..

We had a comfortable three night stay at this Hilton. The room was clean & spacious, & so was the bathroom. However, the bathroom door blocks the doorway entrance when open. The room included a small fridge & microwave. We found the king size bed to be comfortable. This hotel offers shuttle service to the airport & also to two malls. Only disappointment was at 1:00 one afternoon when we returned to our room to take a nap, it hadn't been cleaned. But, the housekeeper was in the hallway & I asked if she could clean our room next--and she did. Very sweet gal too. I also like the fact that as Honors members, we could check in & select our room before arrival.

Room was clean. Bed had a dip in the mattress on the driver side.  7th floor Hallway had a slight sewer smell. Not sure what that was.
The front desk people were neither friendly nor helpful.  When I checked  in I was told where the elevator was and my room number. That's it. No info on the wifi, restaurant, the area, nothing extra. We stayed for two days and you would think they would have tried to make was feel welcome. We were in and out several times and not once did any of the various front desk people even say hello. We didn't feel welcome.
The housekeeping ladies and the bartender were very nice and helpful.

Next time we'll stay at a different place.

Pretty good hotel for traveling. The bar area offers Starbucks coffee drinks in the morning (but doesn't accept starbucks giftcards) and the restaurant has great breakfast and dinner options. The gym is quite small, however. I would prefer to see some weight lifting machines. They offer coffee and fancy creamers throughout the day for free, so that's a huge plus if you're not wanting to spend extra on your coffee in the morning. My only other complaint is that the regular rooms are super duper tiny compared to the suites.
