I stayed here on a business trip. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner was good quality. Liquor selection was limited though. So I would actually give them a 3.5 stars.

A Short&Sweet Review..... Shorter than most review and sweeter than a quick tip.

    SHORT (not so great....)

    1. Screwed up on my reservation the first night... they gave my room away.

    2. The decor is not the best (feels like my grandma's house)...but since I'm there for business...all I cared about was the bed!

    SWEET! (The Good....)

    1. Even though they screwed upon the reservation, they were very very accommodating! They paid for the first night at Crown Plaza (will review on this S*%&hole) and gave me two free breakfast buffet!

    2. More goodies for screwing up my reservation... a bag full of treats awaited me in the room.

    3. The hotel is not far from eateries or the Hard Rock Casino (will definitely hit that joint next time).

Hotel is clean and somehwat up to date. Not many other options in the nearby area but these Garden Inns are pretty low quality ive learned. No free breakfasts is the biggest negative point for me. Bar/Dinner service and quality was good but you get what you pay for.

Might try a different hotel next time im there for business.

The hotel it's self is a nice one. The rooms are wonderful and the service is great. The reason I have it 3 stars is because the bar and the restaurant could have a better selection. The pice for the buffet is too high for the lack of big selection of breakfast food. I have eaten a better selections at a free breakfast at a days inn! The pool is nice and so if the fitness room. If your here for 1 night its good. But stay any longer and you will be paying an arm and leg.

There isn't ANY way critize this place without absolutely knit-picking. "Nicole" checked me in at the front desk and you couldn't ask for nicer or with more courtesy.

If I could rate this hotel a ZERO I would. This is the second time I've made a reservation to stay here after a concert. It's currently midnight and I'm about to leave immediately and drive back to Orlando because the room reeks of smoke. They don't have another room available and are refusing to assist us with a refund since we booked through an online party. The plaque on the wall stating the hotel ensures  satisfaction is a LIE.

Very nice property in suburban Tampa. Conveniently located. Guest amenities are fantastic. Great concierge service. Right around the corner from two major shopping areas. Near i-4. Near i-75. This is a great property

This hotel is very clean and simple. There is not a lot of fancy decor or a hip bar. It's a great rate, you don't need all the extra's type of hotel. I have the deluxe room and the furniture could use some updating but because it's a one night stay, no need to complain. The employees I met are all extremely friendly and welcoming. In the end I give it a thumbs up... Downside I stayed in room 619 and the mattress definitely needs to be replaced. It's been apparently well used because the middle of the bed is like the Grand Canyon. I was completely disappointed by that. Also no shower caps... Ugh, the struggles of being a woman.

When I arrived at the hotel I was exhausted; my children and I were coming from Legoland, and planned on going to Busch Gardens the next morning. The front desk agent was very friendly. I was set up in a room with a queen bed and a pull out sofa. While getting the kids ready for bed I noticed there were no pillows/blankets in the closet. I called down to the front desk, again very friendly. 15 minutes later I received my pillows/blankets. I pulled out the sofa and noticed the sheets had dog hair. Pulling the sheets further back there were stains - I felt sick to my stomach, knowing that my kids could have got in the bed on there own before I even spotted the dirty sheets. Now, I had to call a second time. My kids and I were sleepy and irritable.   If you are a parent I am sure you feel my pain and frustration at this point. 20 minutes later a nice man came and changed the sheets. I still felt disgusted, so I had the kids sleep with me. The next morning I woke up and saw a bill under my door for snacks. SNACKS! When and where did I get snacks - let me see the camera. I was upset, as this was my 3rd call to the front desk. The charges were taken off, but still how do you accidentally charge someone's room - maybe the person should have double checked and verifed before printing the bill out? I will never stay here and do not recommend the Hilton Garden Inn. I've stayed at the Sheraton, which is 5minutes away, it is very clean.

Functional and clean.  That pretty much sums up this Hilton Garden Inn located on the east side of Tampa.

We tend to stay here a lot given our regional office is in the office complex located just a short walk away from this place.

On this trip- we got here late (after midnight) and the woman at the front desk was just as friendly and perky as if it wasn't after midnight.  She cheerfully ran and got me my complimentary water and made sure my breakfast vouchers were in with my room key.

The rooms are decent- comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, a mini refrigerator, coffee and free Internet in the rooms.  I also like that the windows open a little bit so you can have fresh air in your room if you desire.

Back in the lobby area is the restaurant and bar not a bad place to grab a bite to eat or drink.  And if you want to enjoy the great Florida weather- you can sit outside on the palmetto shaded patio and enjoy a cool drink with friends.  And their shuttle bus will cheerfully take you where ever you need to go in the area if you didn't rent a car.

And all of this for a price right around $100 so it's a great bargain too.

Stayed here for four nights, highly disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel room found roaches in the hall and in my room as well as ants all over the place. Probably won't stay here again.

Very nice place. The check in was great and even made suggestion on my traveling to Sarasota. I drove them crazy trying to get a smoking room and they always kept a smile and thanked me for staying at Hilton.
The rooms we're very clean and smelled great.

    Thank you.

Stayed here last Friday night. Excellent experience. Rooms are huge and clean. Lobby area is very up to date and clean with free drinks. Rooms have kuerig coffee and they don't skimp on anything. Plenty of drinks at your disposal and the staff was friendly too. Great hotel!!

Convient location, clean rooms, friendly staff. Had a problem and the manager, Lisa Marie Hill went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Would definitely recommend others to stay at this location.

The location is great if you are working for one of the businesses in the same business park as the hotel, otherwise you're in for a drive to get anywhere. There are no restaurants close by except for fast food. We drove into Brandon and Riverview to eat. Yes, they do have a "restaurant" on site but the food did not look good, the menu was limited and the hours are limited. The rooms are quiet, the bed was comfortable, the staff was nice, the pool and exercise room were both clean and adequate. Wifi was very slow.
The bad thing that bumped them down to only two stars (location is one, food choices is two)- the sheets were literally thread bare! I could see right through them. I took a picture they were so remarkably thin. Get some new sheets!

I met with a friend of mine here for a quick coffee while he waited for the room he was staying in to be available.  First...a little odd that they don't have a bar available at 4pm for people to sit/drink/chat at.  Second...what kind of a hotel doesn't have a reserved room available to check into until after 4pm? and Third...please have better coffee or waiting areas in the lobby if it is normal to have to wait an hour for the reserved room.  The staff didn't seem to care very much about the poor hospitality. To me that is a bit odd because - well - its a hospitality industry.  It looked clean enough, and I'm sure had the standard hotel room offerings and service in room. The lobby itself, though - not a great place for meetings.

I was looking for a decent place where I could run a get together with a couple of people, and I didn't want to drive to an office I have in South Tampa. Through Jenna the bartender at the hotel that also bartends in Applebee's Brandon (she's awesome!), I learned that a lot of people use the lobby as a meeting place.

The staff is pleasant, there is a bar and a restaurant, they have Wi-Fi and free cookies!

I went to other hotels with better names and I could not get the same atmosphere.

Thanks Jenna, thanks Hilton Garden Inn!

We had an excellent stay at this Hilton Garden Inn. We've never been disappointed with this chain and this location is no exception. Extremely clean, pleasant and relaxing ambiance, plenty of amenities, comfortable beds, and friendly staff throughout.
My favorite part is always their top-notch breakfast. Our servers, Lori and Mandi, took wonderful care of my family. The chef, Steven, makes phenomenal omlettes and even custom-created Mickey Mouse pancakes for my three boys.
We checked out satisfied, happy and well-rested. Thank you!

Tucked in between the Spanish Moss covered oaks just minute or two off of I-75, this is a perfect location plus I saved $70.00 by not staying in Tampa.
Plenty of places to eat within 5 miles, ask the desk and they'll give you a map.
Nice fitness room and of course the cook to order Hilton Garden Inn breakfast.
The snack area sold at least 10 different types of beer and the snack selection was run of the mill.
The rooms were well equipped, fridge, microwave & K-Cup coffee machine.
My only complaint, the bed frame is a few inches bigger than mattress and I smashed by shin at least 6 times walking past the bed........ yes, I was sober.

    I would rate this hotel a 3.5
Although we had a decent size room. (we were given a handicap room 302 but we didn't need it. So...)
The overall look was ok. But after staying two nights you tend to notice several things. Such as, dirty air vents, rusted fire sprinklers, stained towels, shower railing coming off the wall, extremely noisy bed. You sneeze and it creeks. Doors oddly positioned, making it kind of odd to get from the bathroom out to the room and then into living area.
The gym was nice and clean.
    The hotel lobby was trendy.
    Decent pool and patio space.
Breakfast ordering and serving system was a little disorganized.
If the appropriate changes were made to the hotel I would consider staying again.
Till then, well... I'll be looking else where.

Be warned... if you have business in Tampa or Saint Pete or MacDill, the location is HORRIBLE...

It was 1 hour commute in the morning (thank you traffic) at 7AM.

Now the hotel in it of itself is what you expect from a Hilton - clean well put together rooms. Super helpful front staff. The free cookie adds the ultimate comfort to the stay. It made my business travel very welcoming.
