Convenient, right across the highway from the airport and located just a couple of miles from Steinbrenner Field and Raymond James Stadium.  Easy access to beaches (about a 20 minute drive to Clearwater Beach) and other sites in Tampa.  Staff was helpful and unobtrusive, pool and patio were great.  Full breakfast was served every morning and Mon-Thurs evening meal is served as well, with beer and wine, all part of your room cost.  Very family friendly, also dog friendly, which is rare.

Fantastic hotel. This is a limited service property, but they do a great job with their limited services. Breakfast in the morning isn't gourmet, but there is a great selection and the coffee is good and hot. We didn't hit the evening cocktail reception, but the hot dogs did smell good.

Rooms are clean, and the kitchens are very well equipped. Staying for five days was a lot easier with a full-size fridge and dish washer.

At night, we sat outside by the gas fire pit, smoking cigars. There was pool, too. Also, two nice seating areas with big, comfy couches and tables. Way to go, Hilton.

4.5 stars. The ONLY reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the pillows just did not work for me. They're the fluffy feather kind that look really nice, but as soon as you put your head down they're flat. I'm a one pillow user normally, but I have some neck and back issues. Two of these were insufficient, and my neck and back were pretty sore.

But the hotel itself is excellent. Free hot breakfast in the morning. Free social hour (dinner, wine, beer) in the evenings Monday - Thursday.  Its a suite, so there's a kitchen, complete with full fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Service was excellent, and mad props to the management team who, when the dinner area was overrun by the two college baseball teams who seemed to be just hanging out, cleared the area so other people could sit and eat. The hotel did a great job managing all those college guys PLUS the high school group that came in mid-week, and I never felt as though they were out of control on the property.

While this hotel convenient to the aiport, quiet, and has ample free  parking in a garage shared by several if the Avion Park businesses, there is NOTHING else within walking distance. If someone built a drugstore or even a 7-11 on that block, they could make bank.

Oh, and hooray for free wi-fi! Hotels that still make you pay for it automatically go down a star in my book.

Building up my Hilton points is a good thing, and I think that if I go to Tampa again, I'd definitely try to stay here.

First off, thanks to Rebecca on a heads up for the pillows. I can't stand down pillows, so I called beforehand and had them put real foam pillow in my room instead.

This is a cute little hotel...with the nice breakfast in the morning and social hour every evening Mon-Thurs. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that my room apparently was a black hole for cell phone reception (actually most of the hotel). Absolutely no signal...weird. Second, the fitness room has only a couple cardio machines and some free weights. So it was definitely hard to get some weight training in. It would be neat if they worked out a deal with a local gym that guests could visit for a small fee...especially since people who stay at this Extended-stay hotels might want a place to work out.

    Super friendly front staff.

*Make sure you sign up for the Hilton Honors program before your stay, and enjoy free Wi-fi in your room*

Very nice. Stayed in a two room suite, 3 TV's, full sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker and the list goes on and on. Very fair price, we will stay here again.

    BED BUGS!!!!
We checked in 1/16/14 and on 1/17/14 we woke up with a ton of bug bites ALL OVER our body and face! I tried to speak with the manager "Patsy" and finally when I got a hold of her she was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have EVER had to deal with. She basically did not care what had happened to me. She refunded us for that night and gave us 2 bottle of wine, thinking this was going to make everything ok. SERIOUSLY!!! The people that were bit don't even drink!!! Then they took our pajamas to wash and lost them! Some of us had then wash all of our clothes to avoid bringing and bed bugs back home and when we got them back they were ALL ruined!! My face swelled up so bad that I couldn't open my right eye. Both arms were swollen to the point that the skin started tearing. I tried to show them and demanded they do more than just refund us one night considering the extend of our injury well Patsy basically said she didn't care. We were there for a total of 3 nights and all 3 were horrible!! Our whole trip was ruined!!

I would just like to start off with saying WOW! My family and I have been staying here for almost a month now and on my day of checkout, I feel the need to review. Our home had a flood and that's why we've been out of our house. This hotel has gone above and beyond to make sure my family and puppy was taken care of. They knew our names and welcomed us like a family.

The hotel itself was great. Not just the staff. It was clean and organized and again CLEAN!!! The food was good and you can't beat the breakfast buffet. Also, the pool  was. Nice during a hot day in Tampa. This place is quiet and you would think with animals that it wouldn't be.

Now back to the service, which in my book is the most important thing. Now I've worked for Hilton for 3 years before I had my daughter and I understand why the push customer service but this place just goes above and beyond. Matthew was my favorite ! He was so polite and kind behind the front desk and always had a smile on his face.  I would also like to thank Mary for her kind hospitality ! My puppy timmy would like to thank Phyllis and we hope she gets better soon !

Again. Thank you guys for everything ! If we have a house emergency again, we know where we will be staying !!!!

I stayed here for 2 weeks while on business and worked nights.  I got woken up a few times from doors closing but the hotel was mostly quiet and close to the airport.  I like the exercise room and you can't beat breakfast and dinner on the hotel.  I like this hotel but my only issue is that you can not walk to any restaurants or bars.

Next time I would stay at hilton garden inn across the street.  The lobby is nicer and there's a restaurant in the lobby along with a Starbucks.  In addition, they had a hot tub. We had a pool and a basketball court.

The room was fine and reception was great but the breakfast was a little slow.  We were there on a weekend so could not enjoy the free meal there. They did turn on the fire pit at night though.

On an impromptu trip to Tampa we found ourselves searching the hotels.com app for a hotel near the Tampa airport to be closer to a family member who was also visiting in the area. This hotel came up search after search.  We were looking for something a little less expensive for such a short trip, but this hotel met all of our needs.  Now that I have children, my hotel selections have changed. A hotel with a pool and free breakfast (mainly because a 2 yo will waste most of it) are at the top of my list. Lucky for us, this hotel had both. While this hotel was not our choice, it was still a great pick.

Entering the property from the main street, you notice that there are several other hotels (and restaurants) in a well lit cul de sac. Immediately there is a level of safety you feel.  If you are luck enough, you can find parking in the front of the hotel.  If not, the hotel sits next to garage complimentary parking with easy access to the hotel entrance. The lobby, hallways and rooms were all very clean and the service was good. There were not major hiccups.  While we were not able to utilize all of the amenities, I did enjoy my stay.
