Nothing to exciting or too wrong with this hotel.  We got what we needed when we needed a place to stay for a bowl game in Tampa and a hotel that accepts dogs.  Red  Roof Inns let pets stay free! (Great to know if you are ever travelling with your furry friends!)The price is also pretty cheap.  The hotel rooms weren't fancy but we had what we needed and paid for.  The rooms were clean and there is a "Ker's WingHouse Bar and Grill within 5 minutes walking distance.  This is great if you need food late or want to walk somewhere for a beer!

First of all,if you need a cheap place to stay for a night or two then this will suffice.. Pay the extra ten bucks to go to a much better hotel down the street if you're weary at all. There is no breakfast. The doors of the rooms are like Dr. Dre Beats, they leak a lot of sounf. If someone was slowly walking outside your door you could hear each and every footstep. Keep in mind this hotel is located right next to the interstate. The rooms themselves are bad at all. There's your extra star. When you turn on the switch for the bathroom you will hear a loud vent. There is no help for that. In conclusion, I would highly urge you to stay at another hotel that's nearby, there are many.

It's clean and quiet at night. It's also right across the street from the Ampitheater and its gosh darned convenient for shows. A really nice flatscreen tv and extra convenient parking for shows insure that we've used the Red Roof Inn for years.
There is a gas station nearby for water and such, but get there before they close at night because we never have been able to find a vending machine at this hotel.  There is a Ker's Winghouse next door.
You do get a nicer room if you upgrade; this time the cheaper room wasn't quite as clean as in past years.  We also had a bit of trouble when they rekeyed the whole side of the building while we were at the show, but things happen.  It's fine for a quick visit.

Looks sketchy but besides that everything was great! Stayed there about a week ago! CHEAP CHEAP so don't expect five star service, my room was super clean ac cranking ice cold! And CLEAN no bugs very comfortable stay! The area like I said seems sketchy but in the same parking lot is a open late bar/restaurant and a 24/7 gas station so nothing to worry about! Very pleased with the service as well!!!!! Only people with a stick up there butts will have a problem with this hotel! But then again people like that have problems with everything

The room is fine. However, after checking out within 24hours, I realized I left my Jordan shoes in the room. When I go back and ask them for my shoes, they didn't give them back to me. I am pretty sure I left them there, since the morning before I checking out we plan to go to the beach, I wore my flip flops. They said there wasn't anything. I am so mad.
Never think u can find back the stuff u left there!!

I didn't have a problem staying here. For what you get with the room, it is a very good room rate that can average between $50-70, depending on the night. No fridge or microwave, yet the linens and towels were clean. There are two buildings on site, and you'll have to get a good description on where to go from the front desk in order to find your room, especially at night.

The RRI is located directly behind the Winghouse off of 301 and is very convenient to access I-4 as well as I-75. I thought that this was very appealing, considering that I was traveling and did not want to wait in traffic upon entering and leaving. There is also a BP gas station next door if you need to pick up any snack items, water, coffee, etc. There is, in fact, coffee at the front desk and I'm not certain if that is available in the morning only like a Motel 6.

I did not expect the RRI to be on the caliber of the Crowne Plaza and other hotels a couple of miles down the road, yet it doesn't have to be. For the price, it was clean, quiet, and with basic accommodations. You certainly get what you pay for.

Do not stay here... ever. Not all RRI's are bad, but this one is disgusting.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would.  This place was a hell hole.  Let me begin by saying that when I checked in, the person behind the desk was OK. She was very nice.  The first room I checked into was absolutely DISGUSTING. The wet, heavy scent of mold permeated the air. There were stains on one of the bed covers. They weren't small stains either, they were the size of a dinner plates.  There was also a blood stain on one of the bed covers the size of a dime.  Yes, a blood stain.

The bathroom was equally disgusting. The cover was off the fan unit on the wall, and the innards of the fan were exposed, everything covered in a thick layer of dust and who knows what.  Inside the bathtub there was a wad of hair and god knows what else.  I was skeeved.  This was intolerable, especially when they say that these are "All New Rooms". Clearly the NEW only means the paint on the walls.

I went up to the front desk and let the clerk know of the situation at hand. She moved me towards another room. This room also smelled of mold, but not as badly. The beds were at least clean, but the big issue with this room was... ABSOLUTELY no towels. How did this happen? All I had was a single washcloth.  So once more I had to walk up front and speak to the clerk. I realize that it's not her fault, but she didn't have any towels to give me, save a small stack that had been sitting up front.  I ended up getting 2 towels and 3 floor mats.

This was such a disastasterous experience that I ended up putting the chair before the door and hoping that I wouldn't end up dead, and this is where we ended up getting our final surprise: there were a pair of panties on the floor. They didn't belong to me or my room mate, so apparently they'd been left beneath the chair, along with the dog kibble.  Clearly, Housekeeping has failed to do their job here.

I will not be staying at another Red Roof Inn again.

Stayed one night here after a concert. The walking proximity to the Tampa Amphitheater makes it a cheap and easy stay after festivals, fairs, and performances.
The place was newly remodeled and furnished, clean, and provided a place for me to sleep and bathe - that's all I ask for and Red Roof fulfilled. The sink water tasted terrible and the AC was either freezing cold or off, but I can't complain for such a bargain, and I only spent about 9 hours in the room, much of it sleeping.
The lobby and housekeeping staff are friendly and I got a free house gecko during my stay.
If you need a cheap place to rest after a day at the Amphitheater, here's a good place to go.
