We initially selected this place because we have two cats and the hotel is pet friendly.  They have regular rooms, one bedroom suites and two bedroom suites.  Because we were staying so long we negotiated a one bedroom suite for the price of the regular room.  It's tucked away from  I-75 and MLK Blvd in Sabal Industrial Park.  The Florida state fairgrounds and the Hard Rock Casino are about a mile away.

Each room has a kitchen with at least a cook top, a full sized refrigerator and a dishwasher.  In addition to the queen sized bed, they have a pull out bed in the sofa or the chair in the case of the two bedroom suite.

Every morning they have a hot breakfast from 6:30am to 9:30am (7 to 10 on weekends)  Scrambled eggs, sausage, and waffles that you make yourself.  They also have toast, muffins or bagels with all the fixin's.  Also on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 6 to 7:30pm they have some sort of meal.    We've had quesadilla's, pasta salad, BBQ sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, meat ball subs, and a couple other items.  To me, the food is a pretty good perk that goes along with the room.

Other amenities are the pool, hot tub, an exercise room with treadmills and weights, and free wired Internet access in your room.  They will send out your dry cleaning, in by 8am back by 5.  Also,  I'm told you can give them a list of groceries you need and they will pick them up for you.

The staff treats you like family.  Very friendly and helpful.  We would come back in a heartbeat.

I've been told by a couple of other guests that if you get on priceline,  you can  get into this hotel for about 1/2 the price of the regular room. rates.  Of course on priceline you can't choose a specific hotel.  So you can't guarantee you're going to get this hotel.

We have a handicapped daughter and reserved a two bedroom suite which works well for us.  This was close to the fairgrounds and Hard Rock Cafe.  It is a typical Residence Inn in amenities but the staff is what sets this place apart.  They were very friendly and helpful.  This was true of the maids and service staff all the way up to the registration staff.  Very helpful in finding great local restaurants and made sure that we understood what hotel amenities were available to us.  The service was equivalent to much higher level hotels.  This was as good as it gets at this level and location type.

Just ok for a Marriott.  I am a Platinum member, and had hoped for an upgrade upon arrival, but was not given one.  When I asked they said they were booked- but they sure did not seem booked!

Room was dated- bed not very comfortable.  They need to update some of the furniture and fixtures- and the bathroom!

Clean enough.. but not great.  I did not sit on the couch- it looked very worn and dirty.

Pluses are the breakfast, and beer and wine at night.  I guess if I drank more wine the bed would have been more comfy!

Stayed here with my family of 4 plus our dog, reserved a 2-bedroom suite for the week. AAA discount helped. One giant plus is that we were served free breakfast all week and free dinner (that was surprisingly very tasty) 4 nights of the week. This was quite a big cost savings for a family of 4. The room was nice enough, not spectacular but I have no complaints. The sleeper sofa was a plus. I would stay there again.

Loved the fresh rice krispie treats for the afternoon snack!

Free full hot breakfast offered every morning.
I stayed here for 10 days while I was looking for temporary housing.  The front desk staff was amazing and extra helpful.  It was wheelchair accessible (parking, rooms, eating area).  I would recommend staying here if you are in the Brandon/Tampa area.

The friendly staff more than made up for the dated décor in the common areas.  I was here for a business trip and the location/amenities worked well enough for me.  I'm a Hilton Diamond member, and the professionalism and friendliness of every member of the staff was enough to make me look at staying at Marriott brand hotels more often in the future!

I stay at various hotels due to family business, and this was a very pleasant experience. We stayed 2 nights. Very clean, quiet, and courteous. Breakfast was delicious and staff helpful. Gym and Pool area a little small but nonetheless our daughters enjoyed it anyway. Highly reccomend.
