It's a great hotel for me. I've stayed here maybe four or five times when going to Busch Gardens and been very satisfied each time. Seems to be a decent value for three beds (two real beds and a pullout) and a full, hot breakfast. Rooms are always clean and staff are always friendly, attentive, and helpful.  For example, usually the pack n play for my little boy is set up and waiting in the room, which is a nice touch.  Also, I had my three boys by myself one time and the breakfast attendant was making waffles for us and helping my boys get some juice "all by themselves". My boys also like the pool since it has a ledge down the one side so they can walk the length of the whole pool.  The shower and toilet both have frosted glass sliding doors without locks, which might put off some people, like it did for my mother.  No complaints from me, I'll be there next time I'm in town.

New hotel.  Clean, well lit and suites are well appointed.  Seperate toilet area from shower with two lavatories.  Frig. and microwave are standard.  Hard wire internet with nice desk and sitting area.  Beds are more comfortable than other "low priced" Marriott properties.

Friendly staff and above par breakfast as well as "store" with the usual plus some frozen foods products (entrees, etc.).

Ask for a room at the end of the hallway..not a true corner but very spacious for what you pay.

I never write reviews, but was so disgusted with our stay at this hotel, I felt I should in this case.

When we arrived at this hotel after driving for 12 hours, we were very impressed.  We had rented two rooms; one for myself, my husband, and our 6 year old, and the other for my mother, our teenager, and our 4 year old.  The rooms were nice, and the set-up is particuarly helpful for families.  There is an area with a pull-out bed that is separated from the main bed area.   This is the reason why we booked the hotel, as we are a family traveling with small children.  We were hoping to have the children go to bed early, while we stayed up to talk or watch TV.

Unfortunately, the stay deteriorated quickly when we attempted to use the pull-out bed.  The bed was not made up and when we pulled out the linens from the closet, it was evident that they had not been washed.  The blanket, in particular, had obvious urine stains and hairs all over it.  A call to the front desk was met with a sigh, and a response that there were no other blankets available in the hotel.  She then told me that she would bring up some sheets "when she had some time".  Finally, after waiting for 45 minutes (at 11:00 p.m.) I covered up my 6 year old with some sweatshirts and called and told them to forget it.

At 3:00 a.m., we were awakened by a loud banging sound coming from the bathroom.  This persisted until 6:00 a.m.

When we checked out in the morning, they initially offered a $10 discount, which was ridiculous anyways, but because they had erroneously charged our credit card at the time we made our reservation, they said they couldn't refund the amount. We left in disgust.

This hotel was too expensive for such shoddy service.  We always try to stay at Marriott hotels, but this one was a massive letdown.  I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will not stay there again when we are in the Tampa area.

Oh my! What can I say good about this place?
Well I only found one long black hair on my facial towel. That is a plus... There could have been many.

The internet is 233Kbps down... Might as well be sharing 56K dial-up with all of the customers.

2130 on a Monday night and all TV Channels have ERROR on them... Super!

No internet and no TV.

There is a brand new Hampton at the SR56 exit at I-75.
See you there next time.

Hit or miss with food service, front desk, cleanliness, etc.  It was nice, but not Marriott nice.

Why the bad reviews? I don't get it. We stayed here for a total of ten days and loved each and every last day of it.

Our rooms were clean, modern, and spacious. The lobby is artsy and chic looking- almost like Miami but not Miami of course.

It's close by to many of what progressive New Tampa has to offer.

We loved their swimming pool and their workout room- both we used several times during our stay. I absolutely recommend SS for your stay if you're ever in town.

The hotel is really nice, but Lauren at the front desk is the best. She goes out of her way to make sure you do not need anything and she is willing to do whatever it takes to make a guest happy. You better keep her, she is a real asset.

Building is pretty new and updated. Our Rooms was nice espelly for the price. Close to the Theme parks. Heated Pool, no hot tub. Breakfast was yuk bad. They had hardboiled eggs. These eggs had some sort of slime inside of them. It was like a goo that streched out like crazy nothing I have ever seen before, and I come from a long line of Egg farmers. The pillows are small and pretty much suck but do look good on the bed. The shower good is glass on glass and did not 100% close and would leak water of the floor. A few "minor" issues really I would suggest this hotel for the price vs quality and location. Few much other it.

Rooms themselves were pretty nice:  TV is widescreen, the foldout bed is comfy, and the shower and the bathroom are separated, which is always a nice touch when more than one person is staying in the room.

On the downside, service, especially housekeeping, is a little off.  They finally cleaned our room on the second to last day we were there, but did not leave new towels, new cups, or really leave anything, period.

Continental breakfast was pretty good though, so there's that.

I'm a fan!
Stayed 3 nights in June and the hotel is very nice, clean and the staff was super friendly. Our room was clean, comfy and I loved the decor. Bed was super comfy. Loved how the toilet was seperated from the shower and vanity. Great resturants and stores close by! The pool was clean and not crowed. Very relaxing. The breakfast was free and very good. Not just a cold breakfast but hot too and healthy. When we visit Tampa again this will be our home away from home.

Hotel was beautiful and the bed was comfy, but the pull out was unbearable and dirty! My friend forgot her wallet when we checked out and when we came back to retrieve it $40 was missing from it. She filed a report, but so far there has been no resolution. I would not stay here again.

I had never stayed at a Springhill Suites, but I really like the Marriott Hotel brand.  All the rooms are suites.  I was in a King suit.  I really liked how the shower and the toilet were in two separate areas.  The toilet area also had it's own wash basin.  The shower area had a wash basin as well.  This is great if you are traveling with someone else.  You don't have wait for someone to get out of the bathroom,  Hot breakfast was served from 6am to 10am. The usual stuff; scrambled eggs, make it yourself waffles, oatmeal, etc.  The hotel was clean, and comfortable, and the front desk and housekeeping staff were all very professional and helpful.  I would stay there again.

So this is based on the TV which reads lost signal all the time. The room is nice enough and seems clean, the staff has been nice thus far but I can not watch tv because it keeps losing signal... Fix yo shit Springhill.

Hotel is a huge disappointment on this Thanksgiving Night. I specifically requested two beds and ended up in a King with a family of four a wife who is expecting. The guy behind the desk told me that the couch pulls out into a bed. As I began to make up the bed, the blanket provided was covered in black pubic hair. I went down to the desk to request a new blanket and of course, they have none. Totally disgusting and such a huge disappointment with this hotel. The Marriott brand is usually so much better than this. Never again will I stay at this hotel. I suggest the Holiday Inn, it is 100% better than this crap hole. My wife just pointed to dirty sheets. I think I may throw up. Springhill Suites, you suck!!

I needed a quick getaway from Miami, so I decided to go visit my brother and few friends in Tampa. High prices around spring break season, led me to look at "2 star" hotels on various travel sites. How Springhill Suites can be in the same category as some of the other 2 star hotels in the area is crazy to me. My experience staying there exceeded my expectations.

The location: SHS is tucked away in Tampa Palms, and even though reviews on Trip Advisor complained about it being close to the highway, I didn't have any noise issues. You really don't feel like you're near the highway. It's secluded, but less than a 5 minute drive from restaurants, a CVS, shopping plazas, etc.

The hotel: There is plenty of parking out front. The hotel has a modern feel inside, plenty of seating for their complimentary breakfast, an business center off the lobby, and a pool. All of the employees are friendly, and they even remembered my name when I saw them on my second day there. As far as housekeeping, there's a little card on the desk when you check in that says you should ask them if you need anything during your stay. I think because it's "suite" style, they may not do the rounds as often as some other hotels, and they're like a hotel/extended stay hybrid maybe? Whatever the case is, I asked them the morning of day 2 if they could replace the towels, and they ended up cleaning the whole room (replaced cups, new towels, made the bed, etc.). Just ask! That's something you just don't get at a "2 star" hotel. I haven't even experienced that at some hotels that are rated much higher.

The room: My hotel room was huge. Most small, dumpy hotels in the area were charging $90-140 a night for this particular weekend, and this huge room at SHS was $126. I felt like I got such a bargain. My room had a couch, desk, and chair that was sort of separated from the bedroom area by  partition above the desk. There was also a small area with a counter space for the coffee maker and ice bucket, with a mini fridge below and microwave above. Passing the partition, there was a hug king size bed, large flatscreen tv, a modern armoirer, and a slatted bench next to the window (presumably a modern luggage rack). There was also a divided bathroom. There was a toilet and sink behind a sliding door with frosted glass, and then the main part of the bathroom with the sink, large mirror, and shower behind the same kind of sliding door. Some of the rooms also have bathtubs, but they were all occupied by the time I checked in. My only wish was that there was a dresser (the tv stand only had one drawer) or a larger armoirer. It was just me, but I can imagine that families would need to get ready out of their suitcase because there isn't much space to hang clothes or put things in drawers.

Overall: Way better value than many hotels in this area, and definitely deserves more than 2 stars on these hotel site search engines.

A M B I A N C E : This hotel is so incredibly clean it's sterile to the point of being hospital quality. In fact, I was rather confused at first, after a very late check-in during the middle of the night. I got out of the taxi, groggy-eyed, stumbling into the foyer, thinking I had accidentally ended up at a hospital ward for children! It was scrubbed clean, sterilized, linoleum flooring squeaking under my sneakers, and colorful bubbled letters on a poster board celebrating housekeepers week.

A M E N I T I E S : Spring Hill Suites offers roomy spaces, and can easily accommodate a full family in one room. You'll find a sofa, desk and rotating television set in your room. Plus, if you are in a double room, a main washroom to shower and wash up, and the another with toilet and sink. Breakfasts are served early, free-of-charge, from 6am to 10am Monday to Friday, and 7am to 10am on the weekends. They offer a bountiful selection of pastries, eggs, fruits, bacon, ham and other beloved morning time favourites in the continental U.S.

S O M E | T H O U G H T S & P R O - T I P S : I recommend they add a vending machine or other options for eating during the daylight / evening hours. There is no place to walk to on foot, and there are no sidewalks leading into any plaza, and the only options are arising for breakfast service or purchasing some pricey goods by the front desk. The hotel is tucked away behind the Tampa Palms residential community.

You really need a car or nearby transportation accomodations, as there are no taxis around here, nor city bus service. If you order a taxi, it can easily take 25 minutes or more, just to get close to you.

Wi-Fi is available free-of-charge in each room, but can be extremely slow.

True story.

ps. The pillows are a-m-a-z-i-n-g!
