I am writing to express my disgust in the stay that I have had at the Atlanta Gateway Marriott hotel. I have not had a stay at a Marriott where I have had such a poor experience.
It began on September 1st. After checking in. a co-worker and I went to the lobby bar to have dinner and a drink. After putting in our order or wings we waited 45 minutes before asking again at the bar about our order at which time we were brought the wings which had obviously been sitting for quite awhile. It continued when on the 2nd when the 5 gallon water cooler in the gym was out of water. It's 5 Gallons. How do you miss that?
On the 3rd I called down to the valet to have my car brought around but after many rings there was no answer. When I came down and my car was brought to the front of the hotel I immediately noticed that there was damage to my vehicle. I pointed it out to the valet who went and got a supervisor. They brought around the ticket for the car where damage was noted on the ticket. This damage had not been noted on the ticket when I had dropped off the car and was in a different had writing then the person who wrote out the original ticket. The valet supervisor explained to me that they don't mark the tickets and that another valet may have parked the car and noted the damage. This is absolutely unacceptable. To take possession of the car, not marking the ticket for damage, and then to say that they found the damage later and marked it at that point is outrageous. After returning to the hotel later that day I found that my room had not been cleaned, even though I had removed the "Do not disturb" sign by 11 am.
I returned to the gym on the 4th to find that two of the three sanitizing wipe containers were completely empty.
On the 5th a co-worker and I went to the front desk to inquire about the laundry services at the hotel. While in the middle of our conversation and before it being resolved one of the two front desk workers walked away to make a personal call at another area of the desk. While we were trying to get change for the laundry machines the woman helping us didn't have the quarters we needed. We then had to wait for the gentleman to finish his conversation about trying to get to a barbeque, for him to give us change so that we would be able to do our washings.
Overall the service at the Champion restaurant was poor. Constantly having to go up to the bar to put in orders even on slow evenings.
Having been a platinum member for the better part of six years I have come to expect a certain level of service at Marriott properties, especially at the full service hotels. This has by far been the worst experience of my stays at Marriott. It is the consensus among the other six co-workers that have been staying at your hotel with me that we will not be returning. We have all experienced a lack of professionalism and quality that we expect. Seven people for an average of six days in our stay and a bar tab of $700 on Sunday night alone, I am sure that we would be welcomed by most other hotels.

Stayed at the Gateway for a conference, it was very nice.  Front staff is extremely attentive and more than willing to care for you.  Seems all the staff is that way, from the concierge lounge to teh staff you met around the grounds.  All were excellent.

OUT OF THIS WORLD..i ENJOYED MYSELF to the fullest even though i was there because of be snowned out from my flight. My room was so wonderful. the service was wonderful. This hotel is  on  the grounds of the  airports and  that is a great plus. I had to call dwn to find the ice machine, they had it in a room with a close door so  you could not  hear  it all. I JUST LOVE THIS MARRIOTT, I WISH I DID NOT  HAVE TO LEAVE.

This is a great hotel if you need to be near the airport. As most of the other reviewer's have noted it is very new and very modern. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport via the Rental Car Train (first stop) which is a short walk from the Baggage Claim areas of the airport. If your in need of a rental car while staying at this hotel I recommend renting from the Hertz Desk in the lobby. Their rates are less than the car rental agencies in the Rental Car Facility mostly due to the fact that their is no Rental Car facility charge added to the rental since the cars are located in the hotel's garage. You do however must be a hotel guest to rent from the Hertz Desk in the hotel.

The reviews were a little everywhere on this location but I have been a fan of Marriott in the recent years so I was looking forward to the stay.  We were flying out first thing in the morning so the location was the key for us.  Hotel was super clean and the bed was perfect.  There was some airport noise but I just can't see how a hotel make that go.  If you are by the hotel you need to expect some of that.

Although not near any attractions or restaurants, this hotel is in a perfect location for a quick in & out trip from the airport.

I felt as if I was entering the USS Enterprise when I walked into the lobby.   Spacious, high ceilings and contemporary, sleek décor welcomes guests with dark woods, glass, stunning waterfall feature, leather ottomans and modern chairs.  It is very refreshing in contrast to the usual dismal, tired and dated hotel interior décor.

This hotel has gone the hi-tech level in many areas; the hi-speed elevators that speak to you and rooms that are QUIET!  They have wisely put in triple pane windows which virtually blocks out all sound and soundproofed the walls, so you never hear your room neighbors.
The rooms beautiful décor, elegant contemporary are furnished with large desks with ample outlet plugs, large LCD flat screen TV, two phones and a small refrigerator in the coffee bar nook.

The bathrooms are still true Marriott style unfortunately... Whoever designs these has no clue or concern about enlarging the bathroom so that it is functional as many other hotel chains have figured out.
Fairly tight, so your knees hit the door when on the commode and you must close the bathroom door when getting in or out of the tub.  Decent sized countertop + shelves for toiletry cases.

Staff is very nice and helpful; maybe because the hotel was only 3 weeks old when I stayed.  I was disappointed to see room service trays strewn along the hallways for most of my quick stay as that is a pet peeve of mine.   If you charge an exorbitant amount for room service along with a delivery charge, then HIRE enough staff to continually sweep the hallways for old trays.  Makes my stay less enjoyable looking at dishes of old food each time I walk to and fro my room!
Get with it Marriott!!

This hotel is perfect for business travelers or those attending a convention here as it is a quick 2 min free tram ride to Hartsfield. The tram is right next to the hotel eliminating the need for a rental car.

*** Also, bring your own alcohol as Marriott is a Mormon company so they meter the alcohol they serve to the drop plus they charge a high price to boot.

Recently stayed here for a quick trip to ATL. The hotel is brand new and the rooms are nicely appointed. No complaints on decor or cleanliness. Very comfortable beds and the linens are of good quality. I hate that Marriott charges so much for Wi-Fi, this is really annoying. The noise from the airport is a bit much but I would stay here again in a heartbeat if we are flying out of Hartsfield but not if we are visiting family again or staying in town for longer than a night or two. I love Marriott properties and this one lived up to my expectations.

Unfortunately I was not on business and could not expense the parking.

Pretty swanky (does anyone use that word any more?  lol).  Nice, new, clean, very hip, urban, yadda yadda.  I thought it was neat that the tram/Marta/train (whatever it is) leaves directly from the airport baggage claim and drops you off in front of hotel.  You could see planes arriving and departing from room window.  The baby thought that was pretty cool.  I would definitely stay here again.  They do provide a fridge in the room - +1 point.  I thought the lobby was neat and I could see it being a hangout if it wasn't so far from the city.  Anyhow, nice Marriott.

This brand new hotel had the best, most friendly staff I've ever encountered.  I don't know if it was just being in the south but the staff really was friendly.

This hotel is 2 min from the airport on the free sky train so that's very convenient.  It's not near anything else except the convention center which is only a 5 min walk down from the hotel.  There is a restaurant connected to the hotel which was pretty good.

It's very loud outside due to the planes but the hotel is well constructured and you don't hear anything inside the building or the rooms especially.

My room was very spacious although the bathroom was pretty small given the scope of things.  You have to close the door to use the shower or toilet.  I liked having an outlet near the bed for my phone and the radio was an iTouch/iPhone docking station!

I tried room service and was pleased although I agree with another reviewer that they are slow to pick up the trays in the hallway.  I had to navigate around the maid carts and trays.  I'm sure the guests usually don't call for tray pick up but if they are cleaning the rooms, why can't they alert the kitchen to get the trays?

This is the perfect place to say if you are at the Convention Center!

Kind, helpful staff, two good bars with great beer selection (for a hotel bar...dogfish head, terrapin seasonals, and more), located right on the rail. Rooms are good size with great beds. If you're trying to find a place to stay before/after heading to the airport, this should be your pick.

We spent a night here when snow stranded us in Atlanta.  This is one of the best options - a very modern hotel easily accessible by the free sky train link (no waiting for shuttles!).  Friendly staff, well-equipped rooms and a good restaurant service make it an excellent choice.

What year is it?  Last time I checked? 2011. They put man on the moon in 1969. Why does a brand new, state of the art Marriott, NOT provide WI-FI? Maybe it is the $45 they want for in-room service. Huh?

That must explain the reason that my girl, bleeding like a pig, cannot find a tampon within a 7 minute radius. Instead they send a pad/ diaper circa 1969 to our room. To their credit the convenience store did have band-aids big enough to cover an open heart surgery.

We left our room the next morning at 7a.m. to indulge ourselves in an adequate breakfast buffet only to return at 5p.m. for a quick shower before dinner to find our room still a pigsty due to the fact they were "busy". So we proceeded to use the dirty towels that we left on the floor at their bequest and later subsequently slept in a dirty unmade bed without a night cap because the bar gives last call at 10:30 p.m. on Friday night.

If you need a cab at this remote location 2000 feet from the airport be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes.

Just to add a little insult to my wounds there are no in-room movies available but as a consolation we were able to enjoy HBO sans sound as this chain  obviously thinks we have super sonic hearing and really do not need the volume. While this little amenity was fine by me, my unplugged girlfriend thought it necessary to inquire at the front desk as to the malfunction, only to be told it should be fixed sometime next week with the next tampon shipment.

Kudos to Marriott in their attempt to update their tired appointments and motifs as this property is quite beautiful. But a weekend at devil's island I'm sure would be preferable to our little stay here.

Great hotel!

Very trendy lobby.

Convenient to the airport and downtown.

Rooms are well done and comfortable.

Only two complaints;
1: Parking is a bit expensive for a hotel that's not in a "downtown" area
2: Lobby bar closes too early!

This is easily one of the best Marriott's I have every stayed in.  It is conveniently just a short train ride from the airport.  The lobby is spacious and modern.  The lobby bar area is great.

The rooms are standard in size but well appointed.  I took advantage of the room service for dinner.  It came quickly and tasted good.  That is rare in hotel food.

The attached sports bar is nice.

This hotel was supposed to be the new Vibrant Marrriot connecting to the convention center and the Hartsfield Airport. I had to make my way to this hotel three days in for wedding festivities and besides the fact that it's conveniently located from the airport through a free 2 minute trade ride, it was just ok not great great as advertised.

Upon entering the first thing you see is a lavish vibrant lobby with an illuminated bar.  The bar is really cool but the elevators are located directly behind it..interesting location and a lot of congestion making all guests and visitors run into each other...families, convention visitors and wedding parties running through each other leads to a very interesting crowd.  The bar and the hotel restaurant Champions were the only things I really enjoyed about this hotel that warranted a 3.  This hotel is in Atlanta but it felt like I was in a fake star hotel in Las Vegas that had cookie cutter rooms miles away from the only elevators. The view from the nice rooms was of the train tracks and the convention center.

I may sound overly critical but this is a new hotel by the main convention center by the airport.  It should be a top of the line ease of use hotel for business and vacation travelers.

A very stylish hotel and conference center. The room was great! Definitely designed with a traveling working professional. Outlets, data ports, cables to connect your computer to the TV, it was great.

The bed had an LED reading light. Did I read? Nope. I used it as a spot light while I slept..! Felt like a movie star...or some sort of star...

The sports bar seemed to always be busy. The lobby bar was a nice place to sit and meet-up. Definitely try the onion dip appetizer. Lilliam was a terrific bartender. Actually, the entire staff was great.

I learned after I had left they have a concierge lounge. Wish I had a chance to see it.

The only sad part: the hotel is a bit secluded. Driving, taxi, or MARTA (through the airport) is the only way to get away.

I would stay here again for convenient access to the airport.

*Yawn*  Another generic conference at another generic hotel with more generic food.

WRONG!

I have never been so impressed with the surroundings, food, or service at any other conference I have attended, and that includes my last stint at a RItz Carlton.  Yes, this Marriott tops the Ritz.  I was just here for two days for a meeting, so I can't comment on the rooms or the overnight experience, but if you're looking for meeting facilities they don't get much better than this.

The hotel itself is brand spanking new, huge, and beautifully decorated with a modern flair that isn't at all hokey or cheesey.  Think impossibly tall ceilings, beautiful blown glass chandeliers, tons of light from giant windows, and subway tiled bathrooms done all in white.  Gorgeous.

As any frequent conference goer can attest, food and drink can make or break your meeting experience.  And here, it definitely made it.  Every meal was beautifully presented and included lots of health, fresh items, from leafy salads to exotic cut fruit, there was always something delicious that didn't make you feel too *guilty* for indulging.  Particular standouts included the mini muffins with whole pecans at breakfast, and the peppered filet and the chocolate peanut-butter pie at lunch.

What stood out the most was the exemplary service.  When I stepped off the elevator from the parking deck looking slightly lost in the overwhelming lobby, a passing busboy saw my confused face and guided me straight to my conference room.  At lunch, when I asked the server if we could get some more diet Pepsis for the room (the sole downside -Pepsi products only- ugh), he not only restocked us ASAP, he brought a drink poured over ice straight to my seat.  The little touches went above and beyond.

The actual conference logistics were superbly handled as well.  They have a dedicated person on-site who deals only with conference electronic and A/V issues.  Anytime we had an issue with our projector or conference call line, he was at our room within a minute to troubleshoot.

Overall, a truly standout experience, and one I'll keep in mind when looking at booking future meetings and conferences.

What a great Marriott experience! Open for only a year at this posting, the Marriott Gateway at the Atlanta airport makes travel a pleasure.

First of all, the location. This Marriott is located right at the airport on the 2nd stop of the airport tram that goes to the car rental building. What makes that great is that no matter how late you arrive or how early you need to be at the Atlanta airport- you are only steps away from being there.

Secondly- the rooms. My room was lovely- done in tones of sage and beige and I loved that there were decorative vases on shelves in both the bathroom and in the coffee bar area. There is free coffee in the rooms and Bath and Body works products in the bathroom. And while I had thought that all Marriott's had switched over to plastic glassware- this one has real glass glasses which are always much appreciated.

The lobby area or "great room" as they call it is also quite nice. There is a large bar area with some of the friendliest bartenders I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I was warmly greeted and then the menu was quickly explained to me as the 5, 10 and 20 listed on the cover are not dollar amounts. Nope. They are how long it will take to get those items listed under each category.

So given I was starving, I ordered a bowl of the "she crab" soup off of the 5 minute menu and the chicken quesadilla off the 10 minute menu. Let me tell you- the soup came in a bowl that was big enough to take a bath in and the warm baguette served alongside was delicious! The quesadilla was good too, but nothing like the soup and bread!

There is also a sports bar attached to the hotel, Champions, that has a pretty good menu as well- but the real plus is that it has a patio with outdoor seating although the view is basically of the tram and parking area.

Check in and out was super fast and easy and while I was a last minute stay and had to pay full price ($229 a night) there are deals that can be had if you plan in advance.

Most of the time when I visit Atlanta- I stay in the downtown area at the Ritz. But if ever I am in need of a hotel by the airport, the Marriott Gateway will be my choice!

Great hotel, lunch and service was good in the restaurant.  My real reason for the 5 star is simply Rabnali L.  WhenI checked in, he was one of the most professional and attentive people I have experienced in the hotel industry, aim a business traveler.  What a great guy, Thanks Rabnali for being such a great guy!! It's an upscale Marriott nearby the airport and Georgia Intl Convention Center. MARTA drops off directly from the airport so that part is easy. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the ladies at the Starbucks in the lobby actually remembered my drink every time I visited. Other than the convention center and the airport, there's not much in the area. They also have restaurant and a sports bar.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in.  It's new and it shows.  Everything is clean, modern and inviting.

It's easy to get here from the Atlanta airport.  You just hope on the railway that goes to the rental car center and it stops here near the hotel on the way.

The lobby is spacious, with plenty of room to relax.  There is a bar there that serves Starbucks coffee and soda's throughout the day too.  The bar/restaurant in the lobby, Champions, was pretty rowdy while I was staying here.  But none of the noise makes it up to the rooms.

The rooms are clean and modern.  They have the most comfortable beds with a comfy mattress, high count sheets, down pillows and a down comforter.  I slept great in this hotel and that never happens.

The bathroom is a bit small and has limited counter space.  The hotel seems like it's geared towards men with 16 ESPN channels on the TV.  But they did hide a full length mirror inside the closet door  ;)

I did training for 2 days in their conference rooms and the staff there were friendly and professional.  They made sure we had water, coffee and snacks throughout the day.  And when I asked for additional items to be brought it, they did it immediately.

Really, I couldn't find anything wrong with this hotel.  It was enjoyable to stay here for 4 days.  Everyone I dealt with was nice and helpful.  On my next trip to Atlanta, you'll find me back at this hotel.

We stayed here on our wedding night. We live in the Atlanta area and booked one night so we could catch an early flight the next morning. I booked a queen room at the park and fly rate. We got to the hotel and I told the front desk we had just gotten married. They checked us in and said "we have something for you in your room. Come back down later and let us know what you think". We went upstairs and they had upgraded us to the Presidential Suite for the night! It was FANTASTIC!! The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and walk in separate shower. Three flat screen TV's in three different rooms, full kitchen, super comfy bed, wet bar, etc... We almost wanted to just spend the whole honeymoon there! Plus, the Sky Train to the airport is so convenient and we were able to park there for the week...all included in the one night stay. I LOVE this place and the staff was wonderful! Go here! It's soooo worth it!

I came here for a Holiday party.
The parking is a little confusing to find, the layout from the parking deck is not well laid out.
Once you enter the hotel from the elevator into the hotel, there is no clear direction where to go.

If the hotel was the caterer for the party, I suggest you never eat at this hotel for any reason... ever.  It was not good at all.
The drinks were way overpriced, but the staff was friendly.

I really love this hotel. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean. It really shows the quality of a great Marriott property. Easy to reach via the sky train from ATL. Mobile check-in makes it quite easy to zip right to your room. It's a bit remote so you'd need to get a taxi or drive to any offsite restaurants. The Champions restaurant within the hotel is convenient and offers a nice enough selection of food and beverages. The lobby bar is quaint where one can socialize or have a business meeting. Behind the lobby bar is a waterfall partition leading to the elevators. The concierge lounge offers great food and beverages to those who can access. They have one of the better fitness centers of any Marriott property. Plenty of machines and free weights. The pool at hot tub are also very nice. All located on the second floor. Plenty of meeting room space towards the back of the hotel. It's much bigger than it appears from the outside or from the lobby area.

Almost don't want to write a review, as I want this place to remain the best kept secret of Atlanta Airport hotels.  First, the place is still relatively new, at least in hotel years.

Best location for ATL Airport as they're connected to the terminal via train.  So I drop my rental car off, and use this as the departure point before an early morning journey.   I was at my gate in the D terminal from my hotel room in less than 20mins.

I tried their new mobile app checkin, and called to ask for a specific room.  The front desk staff were great, kinda sad that the same guy that checked me in, also checked me out.

The app lets you tell the front desk when you expect to be there, so when I walked in they just handed me my keys and I was off to my room.  Loved it!

The room was super clean, smelled great, the air conditioner was set to the perfect temp, there was a light on when I entered the room, great start.  It improved to find that the bathroom was immaculate.

This Marriott really gets it right.  Their service was great too as the front desk called to square away an issue and said just stop back at the desk in the morning.

Best part was their über comfy bedding.

I had one minor maintenance issue with the bath to shower switch, which I was able to fix, the staff apologized and put it in their red book to be fixed.

Check out was great and a valet even went out of his way to open a door for me and help me with my bags.

They made this simple stay a pleasure and I can't wait to return.

Great for business travelers, a quick and free sky train ride from the Atlanta airport. Nice new facilities. Perfect for a quick and easy business conference or if you get bounced from your flight. I wouldn't normally leave any sort of review especially as a pretty loyal Marriott person, but my experience here was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. When I got back to my room from being out all day, my door had been bolted and open for anyone to walk in from whenever it had been cleaned earlier. Not only that, I thought to go down to inform the front desk that something like that isn't acceptable but got blamed instead.

I understand there probably wasn't a real solution for what already happened but the lack of respect or a simple apology definitely leaves me with a poor taste of my first Atlanta experience.

Definitely not the best marriot for several reasons. The staff was definitely  friendly which is quintessential of the south, but that didn't redeem the stay for me.
I was here for 2 nights of business. The first I ordered room service as was disappointed in that. I ordered something with a couple edits, none of them were applied. I ordered bottled Fuji water, they brought me the hotel brand but still charged my $5. And herbal tea, and was brought English breakfast, at 11pm.
The most disgusting part was finding severL pubic hairs in the bathroom. Enough said, no one should have to see that. The room wasn't the cleanest. Gross

Oops. Delta screwed up and this time, it was their fault. So when I missed the last flight of the day to my destination, they provided me a voucher. Since this isn't the first time I've had this happen, I was able to convince the special services agent to give me a voucher to a Marriott property, since I have status with them.

The Airport Marriott Gateway is directly outside the airport, reached by the same rail that would take you to the rental car center. That makes it really easy and really fast to get here and to get back to the airport.

Beautiful lobby, though I barely spent five minutes there being checked in. Up the elevator to my room, it was quiet and the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had all the usual amenities that I have come to expect from Marriott properties. Sadly, it was a Sunday night and I had an early morning flight, so I did not have a chance to visit any of the services. I'm sure they have a concierge lounge, but it was closed during the few hours I was here.

Surprisingly quiet, considering that it's right next to the busiest airport in the world. You don't have to worry about hearing planes here at all!

I travel to this hotel and location pretty frequently...so I feel my review is balanced and educated.

Price is High for what you get. I DO understand the supply and demand aspect that a location like this has...so, I won't rail on them too hard. It is high though. I usually end up playing $200+ a night when I go there..

As in the world of real estate- LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! That truly is what makes this property amazing...wonderful...everything Yi Haw! I can fly into Atlanta (ATL) and catch the train to the hotel. If I rent a car, I can drop off my car...take the same train and stay at the hotel and make it to the airport the next morning without catching a cab...incurring ANOTHER day of rental fees etc. So, maybe at the end of the day everything evens up!

The rooms are pretty up to date. They obviously have sound deadening glass and materials in the walls. I've NEVER heard a plan take off while staying there. So, for sure, a good night sleep!

The restaurant and bar are what you would expect. INFLATED liquor prices and $12 hamburgers....

The hotel is GREAT for location and convenience...other than that, more than I would pay if I had other options.

Was here on a recent business trip to Atlanta in which I saw the airport, the air train ride to the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway, and the inside of the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway.  Pretty exciting, to say the least.  Thank goodness, this Marriott stands up to the level of quality and service most Marriotts deliver, so that at least partially made up for being stuck inside here for a few days!

I always find it easier to make a list when reviewing hotels, so here goes.  Cons first, so we can end on a positive note.

MEH.
- This location is NOT AS EASY TO FIND as they would have you believe.  The Atlanta Airport is HUGE so when they say "one stop away" on the air train, that might mean several stops on the underground subway and a mile walk first.
- I practically got lost finding my room from the elevator and back again.  I didn't realize how big this hotel was until I was walking down a winding hallway searching for my room.
- While the rooms were very clean & spacious they could stand to be updated.
- The coffee pot in my room was not clean or usable, something I discovered AFTER I tried to make coffee - boo.

YES!
- Friendly, accommodating staff from the bartenders to the front desk to housekeeping to sales & catering.  We were hosting an event here and Janay & Reondray were FANTASTIC.
- Modern lobby with water features.
- Nice bar and Starbucks all in the same spot with friendly bartenders AND baristas.  Sold.
- Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms.
- Good food, whether from the restaurant (goat cheese mushroom tacos!) or banquet services (fresh breakfast!  churros!).
- Very quiet, considering the proximity to the airport.
- Beautiful, I mean just gorgeous, pool & fitness facilities.  Complimentary water bottles, headphones, etc. available, typical of Marriott properties.
- Very nice toiletries in the rooms.

The pros far outweigh the cons here, people.  If you're here for a quick layover or a business trip, this is a great, practical hotel.

The best part of this hotel is the ease of travel from the airport. Hop on the tram, get off at the next stop, and you're there! Super easy!

The hotel was very swank and decorated nicely. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I liked how the rooms were decorated. The white wood looked very updated and modern.

There are loads of rooms for business meetings and conferences. A bar, restaurant and supposedly a Starbucks that I never saw. I don't doubt there was one though.

I would definitely reccomend this hotel for the business traveler.

I attended a black tie masquerade ball at the Marriott Gateway and thought this was a wonderful venue for an upscale event.  Although the hotel isn't downtown it's only a few miles away off I-85 and it's also connected to the airport by monorail.  The hotel parking garage is tucked behind the hotel.

The event was held in a separate wing of the hotel located on the first floor.  There were nearly 500 people there yet there was still enough room for multiple beverage stations, a cigar bar, a silent auction area and a photographer's portrait studio.  I wasn't expecting much from the plated dinner but to my surprise it was actually tasty.

There wasn't anything particularly charming about the event space (in the sense that there were no historic architectural features or breathtaking views) but it does offer an elegant, intown venue away from the congested downtown area.

Just went to a reception for work that was fantastic at this location.  Hors douevres of beef Wellington and chicken pockets and fantastic cheese and fruit platters.  Wine and beer selection was also very nice.  The decor of the hotel was absolutely gorgeous!!

Stayed here for a college reunion and graduation. The property is beautiful and convenient. The rooms are nice and comfortable.  The staff from the parking and luggage valet,  the front desk and housekeeping were all friendly.  The downside to the hotel.. We had to almost beg for extra soap and towels,  the health facilities were nice but that TV feed on the treadmills were awful.  Pack your iPod or iPhone because that reception is choppy and constantly no signal.  I'm really surprised that a hotel this size and located near the airport does not have 24 hour room service.. Nice stay but really Marriott? I will return though..

Hmmm  while i want to give a 4+++or 5 star for the people who work here which should be how it is!!
unfortunately Marriott has tied their hands 1. no movies to watch while i get the whole this is a conference hotel really get with the program this is the #1 busiest hub in the country-get the movie menu please!!!.2 no slippers really you are a Marriott  stop acting like this is po dunk somewhere. You are  at the airport in the busiest hub again which you all tout and talk about with pride stop tying the hands of your employees with these  lame answers...Come on really.
3. 12:48 yes after midnight in a big hotel chain not courtyard or whatever --no food to be had from any where let alone room service.LOL  Really you are a Marriott. with 7 floors a hotel which should be better able to handle this request...omg  you have got to be kidding me....you can go out for food -silly and again  unacceptable!!!!!! what was said - Oh all our outlets for food are closed --Seriously you are not in po dunk where ever--- not acceptable and awful for a Marriott.
4. When a customer books a connoisseur room, please make sure you don't charge full price for a suite room where you can hear the other connecting room with a door to the suite their  TV and conversation yuck -awful.Not to mention the room is smaller then a normal room. Please train your staff that a suite connector room is smaller and not the same as your king rooms with out a connecting door.  This would not be an issue unless  you are  not aware of this type of room.
5. We get that service on Hospitality floors needs to be from a certain time to ? However if you are going to leave coffee in the connoisseur room please make sure when the service ends at 9;00 am which we get that there is coffee in the 3 huge pots sitting there at 9:15 seriously. Ridiculous to enter the room and find no coffee at this time yuck!!!! Not 2-3 hours later really 15 mins
If you dont want to serve coffee after breakfast is done then take the 3 huge containers away. don't leave them for a guest to try to get coffee. Yes I know there is coffee in the room this the connoisseur floor.
simply unacceptable
i can't say enough about the personal who is pleasant and helpful love love Miss Wanda and all those who made my stay wonderful wonderful.. would have been nice if Marriott didn't tie their hands so they may not offer these  normal  service items which are available in all other Marriott sites. Really ATLANTA THE HOT SPOT AND THE BUSIEST AIRPORT
This is what you reduced these  wonderful helpful people to--- disgusting and the staff is outstanding, heir to meet you every need where their can when then can... Stop tying these wonderful employees hands..

Beautiful property, clean, neat and convenient! Really easy to get to this hotel from the airport via the Sky Train at no cost.

The guest rooms are tastefully done, clean and well equipped. The employees are friendly and attentive.

I'm not exactly thrilled at the moment. I won't bore you with the details - but I had the pleasure of finding broken glass all over the carpet of my room. This was not a fun way to spend midnight. On my way to take care of one cut, I cut myself on more glass.

Talked to the front desk, they did what they could. No way I'm staying here again though. Stuck for now.

I have always had a great experience at the Atlanta Marriott Gateway. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They remember guests that visit a lot and go out of their way to say hello and make you feel welcome. I have been lucky enough to be upgraded to several suites here and they are fantastic. It is hard to believe that this is an airport hotel. This hotel reminds me very much of the Hong Kong Sky City Marriott. Both are great properties and very welcoming.
