This Courtyard by Marriott is an affordable, easily accessible option if you're staying in Midtown Atlanta.

    Pros:
    - Clean, quiet
    - Free parking
    - Close to the Interstate and Peachtree St.

    Cons:
    - No room service or restuarant in easy walking distance; you have to order from Atlantic Station, whose delivery is slow and expensive.
    - Continental breakfast is a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Drive over to Chik-Fil-A for more options at a cheaper price.
    - GPS systems don't recognize its one-way location on Techwood Dr. when you try to exit following the GPS system.
    - Room amenities on the so-so side. Not a lot of outlets, and bring a surge supressor if you have a computer with you. You practically have to throw the shampoo bottle against the wall for anything to come out.

I used this hotel for all of our out-of-town guests for our wedding back in April 2007 and had a great experience.  Plus the free parking in the middle of Atlanta cannot be beat!  It's proximity to everything ATL has to offer is great too!

I would give it five stars for service - but I knocked one off for not offering free breakfast.  But considering the rate of $99/night (in our wedding block) in the middle of Atlanta - I guess paying the extra $8 for breakfast isn't too horrible, but still people like free stuff!

I put 30 rooms on hold almost 9 months out and that was super easy and painless.  Then closer to the date I met with the hotel manager - I believe her name was Jessica - and she was just so great.  I was able to get a complete list of our guests in our block anytime I needed it! We were also able to drop off our welcome bags a few days in advance and they all got passed out correctly.

Since we brought in so much business - they included a free suite for the weekend and a free shuttle.

So out of a million wedding things going on - this hotel definitely made things much easier for us and our guests that weekend!

nice but in the ghetto I mean by G-tech, you can only valet your car here and they left my doors unlocked and my GPS was stolen. 3 other cars got robbed that same night and they even smashed out one guys windows and nobody heard or saw anything. LOCK YOUR SHIT UP IN THIS AREA!

Best budget hotel I stayed at in Atlanta for its price and location!
I picked this hotel because it was the closest to IKEA from  which I was making a pilgrimage to from Miami with my bf. Yup, hundreds of miles south from the ATL. Yeah, I know I'm crazy but we did it! We rolled into town at 6am, dazed, and were happy to find out we could check in, thanks to our helpful desk clerks. The beds were comfy, the heaters worked well, and the wifi was in good order. All this with a brand name hotel, I'm pretty happy with it.

Bonuses: Free parking, free wifi, very close to the main highway
very close to Midtown destinations (and IKEA!). It was like a 5-10min drive to go to the Flying Biscuit (awesome brunch eatery).

Cons: Nothing remarkable within walking distance.

Standard Courtyard in a major city - the customer service is above average compared to other Courtyards though!

Nice midtown location, unfortunately they charge for parking which is crazy as the website states free parking. They offer breakfast and snacks but there are eateries within short driving distance.  The rooms were comfortable and clean but we still saw a crawling critter.  The workout facility is very small but you can still get it in.  I doubt I would stay here again, but it was ok for a short trip.

I was so impressed with the friendly staff here. From the moment I checked in, to the housekeeping staff, to the Bistro staff who welcomed me home every night the week I stayed- I was impressed! Parking was never an issue, food and coffee was great, and the business center was very convenient. I stay at Courtyards for work 3-5 times a year for 2-5 days at a time. This one sets the bar very high for future stays in other cities.

Stayed here with my daughter and sister. I will definitely be back. It was conveniently located off the interstate, had plenty of dedicated parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable. My daughter loved the whirlpool on the first floor, which fits 9 people comfortably. The lobby has some decent food and dedicated TVs at tables. We watched football games on the big screen HD TV off to the side.

I had no problem connecting to the free wi-fi, even on the eighth floor.

Only bad things about the place were a lack of pay per view movies and the bathroom door swinging out and hitting someone else if they were standing there brushing their teeth. Just be careful and make due with HBO.

This was a nice Marriott.  We were upgraded to a suite, which was sweet.  The staff were very friendly and accommodating.  Things did appear to be nicely or recently updated.  Like other marriotts there is a snack area where you can purchase junk food, and a bistro area which had sandwiches, salads, and the like.  My Bf really liked his turkey sandwich from here, but I ended up not being able to order anything because all the salads either had cheese or egg (allergic to both) or meat (no thanks).  I'd like to see a few more healthy alternative options, meat dairy and egg free optional... and for heavens sakes recycling bins? Why doesn't Marriott recycle here?  The shower worked well in our room, nice tv's but only HBO and cable, and there was also a small indoor hot tub and an outdoor pool but we tried neither.  I was hoping for an indoor pool but no such luck.  The parking is a little strange here, where its situated off the highway you can only turn one way out of the lot.  Nice location near midtown however.  Close to the silver skillet dinner, that was a great find within walking distance.  Wifi worked ok. Would stay again. Enjoy your trip.

Not the fanciest hotel in the world, but it's a Courtyard and it has been recently updated. What stands out here is the service - some of the nicest people and Southern hospitality you can imagine. They have a small food and cocktails bar here. I arrived an hour before they opened, but the staff still went out of their way to make me a sandwich. The sandwich was actually quite bad (blame the ingredients, not the staff), but I was so happy to have something to eat after a long day of travel. I was glad to be served by them through the rest of my stay.

Apparently this place was remodeled not too long ago.  Great location;  I was visiting Georgia Tech/Midtown and it is definitely walkable.  Room is comfy and well maintained.  Plenty of parking.  Lobby area is quite sheek.  I recommend this place for anybody.

Very nice, reasonably priced hotel. Right across the bridge from Midtown. About 10 minutes walk to Marta. Shuttle to Midtown M-Friday until 10pm. Nice little cafe/bar inside. The bar is not really a bar, but more of a bistro that happens to serve beer and maybe liquor. The staff was very helpful in helping us get around. Free Wi-Fi, nice maids. No need to stay near downtown as this is in a perfect spot.

Pros: close to Atlantic Station (about 10-15 minute walk), very affordable compared to  surrounding midtown locations, overall a great location b/c it was close driving distance to everything we wanted to go to (Buckhead, Midtown), hot tub located indoors, pool outdoors

Cons: thin walls, parking ($20), firm beds, square pillows (not the rectangular kind--depends if you like that or not), no microwave or fridge in the room (microwave in the lobby area though), no breakfast included

Overall: priceline.com offered "name my own price" so the room was a steal...however, lack of appliances in the room, thin walls, and  the ridiculous parking fee knocks it down a couple of stars

I would like to say that my husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Courtyard Marriott. The rooms were nice and the mattress was just right. I had a good nights sleep. The service was awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would like to give a shout out to Brenda on the grill at The Bistro- great food and personality super nice. The check-in /out clerk Raven was nice and very helpful with all of our needs. The shuttle ride with Randal was a delight. The lounge was very relaxing and inviting, a great atmosphere to socialize in. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Once again the staff was awesome, they really do a great job. I would definetly recommend this hotel and will be using this hotel if in Atlanta in the future. Microwave ovens in the rooms would make it better. Tina Ivery

It started out great and then down hill from the first night until my last. ..2 days later. The room was semi clean. I say that because as I started to put clothes inside the drawers I noticed a dirty sock left behind by a guest before me. Ok...so nasty. But then when I asked housekeeping to please give me fresh sheets when she cleans the room...i come back later to find that's all she did. My Starbucks coffee cup, used paper towel, empty food cartons were left right on the table and yes she didnt even refill the toilet paper.
When I told management they seemed to be listening.  I return later to find a roll of tissue outside my door. Excuse me!! Outside my door!!! What the heck!!! Oh did I mention that I came here with my 8 week old baby and while my brother was holding her a cleaning lady ran up to him and said how cute she was and took her out his hands!!! What the hell...i snatched my baby so quick. Just plain rude and nasty! I will not stay here again...Heck they make me not even want to come back to Atlanta! !

This would be a one star and I'd tell you to go across the street/interstate to the Marriott High Rise versus staying here. Why?

0 stars for the crap-tacular mattresses. They need replacing
3 stars for the amenities and basic wi-fi
0 stars for the $20 parking daily when there's a $3 parking lot one block over and this is the South so parking is plentiful (Except New Orleans) and isn't overpriced.

I love the Marriott brand and all versions. I tried to overlook a number of things here but there's no way.... I should have looked at the reviews before booking.

I didn't realize there's no free breakfast and I just left NYC/Long Island City Marriott with $20 valet parking and free breakfast. So, what gives?!?@

I can't FUC (Funny, Useful, Cool) with this Marriott at all.

The location get this place to the 4 stars with some conveniences helping out but again - the sister hotel is across the way in less than 2 blocks. I passed up 4 other Marriott's on the drive here.

Yes its location is good and the staff were very friendly. The cost to park is $20 daily but the parking lot is spacious. The hotel shuttle and wifi is complimentary. Two major issues: The wifi performance in my room was like Atlanta's traffic congestion. And the fridge was a little bit loud.

I was working with this hotel for my wedding. Their event coordinator, Monica, is unprofessional and awful to work with. She is single-handedly putting a huge kink in my wedding weekend, as we had coordinated for shuttle transportation for our guests to the ceremony, and Monica told us with less than 2 weeks to the wedding that we would not receive shuttle service. When we contacted her to try to remedy the situation, she told us "well, it's Mother's Day..." as if a holiday is an excuse for poor, unhelpful service. Do not choose to coordinate a hotel block for a wedding at this Courtyard Marriott if you can help it. I regret choosing them (my venue suggested them).

For the price and the location, Courtyard is a decent place to stay. It isn't super chic and there are some other options around that looked a little nicer for not too much more, but they have self-parking and a AAA discount which covered the cost of it. That sold me given that the average price to park was $20 a night and up at just about any hotel in the area. Also, we were going to a show at the symphony hall which is within walking distance so that made it even better.

The Courtyard has the usual amenities like a pool, workout room, free WiFi, in room mini-fridge, etc. The staff were all very friendly. They always greeted you on the way in and the way out. The room was about average size and the bed was comfy. There were plenty of plugs around for charging electronics. My two complaints would be that the pillows felt like a couple of t-shirts balled up in a pillow case and the lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim.
