I stayed here for one night mid-week and it was very quiet (a welcomed part of a busy trip). I don't even remember seeing other guests; the only evidence to show we weren't the only people staying there was the empty room service trays out in the hallways.

The concierge was okay. The guy who checked me in was nice enough, but didn't explain all the extras available to guests (like the internet/ guest office, think there's a pool, etc). I ended up overhearing about through my traveling partner's check in. Everyone drives in Atlanta so the valet at Crowne Plaza Buckhead is key.

The reason for giving three stars instead of four or five is that the room was just okay. The bed was comfortable and, perhaps, I just don't stay in hotels enough to know better, but I thought, for the price I'm paying (just under $200/night), the amenities would be a little better.

The shopping is very near by to the hotel, but I don't usually consider going to the mall as part of any visit I make to another state. In fact, I'd even prefer it if there were less strip malls in Buckhead altogether.

If you're doing business in Buckhead, this is a convenient stay. It won't knock your socks off, though.

I hear better things about the Intercontinental...

I used to stay here quite a bit when visiting Atlanta, they used to have $59 specials! This is the closest hotel to the Buckhead MARTA station, a very easy, 10 minute walk at most. It is also an easy walk to Lenox, literally another 10 minutes. The hotel has a nice outdoor patio which fronts Peachtree and the restaurant is OK (but with so many great Buckhead options, I only ate here when I was in a pinch). The rooms are fairly standard but the beds were very comfortable. If driving, its very easy to pass this hotel so you need to be careful when looking for it. Yes, they charge to park. Service is what you would expect, but the hotel is closing soon. Why? Because Atlanta continues to go high-end. A W hotel will be replacing this.
